Will's POV:
It feels like we're all living a lie, I mean we're far far away from home and we're all trying to make it work but it's all bullshit. El desperately misses Mike and Hopper. My mom realized she pushed away the person she truly loved. Jonathan is upset, he can't spend Christmas Eve watching movies with Nancy. I'm upset the girl, I once had I is alone on Christmas. I was too scared to call her. What if she just hung up hearing me say hello, what if she replaced me? She probably hates me. As promised mom said we can all go back to Hawkins for Christmas break, and I'm anything but thrilled. I pack my bag and check on El.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm wrapping Mike's gift."

"You brought him a gift?" She nodded.

"Are you giving y/n a gift?"

"I don't know, what if she's mad I left her?"

"Just try, she can't be mad that you made an effort,"

I walked back to my room and I started thinking about what if should gift y/n.

December 8th, 1985 HAWKINS, INDIANA
Your POV:
Today was tryout day, Kate was soo excited and it kills me to say she really wanted me to get on the team. I was pretty active but cheer is beyond me. I was kinda excited in a way too or very anxious, either way I was not ready for today at all. I arrived five minutes early and saw none other than Tanner and Liam. They were talking about something serious. Liam walked away quickly and Tanner still stood there.

"Hey." I greeted.

"Hey y/n." She said smiling.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"I saw you and Liam, I thought something's up."

"Oh it's nothing, just family matters. Are you ready?"

"I guess, I mean I've never cheered before,"

"Kathy said it's just for the last game of the season, also the girls who impress her the most will be real cheerleaders."

"Yep, no pressure there," I mumbled.

"Come on, we're gonna be late!" She said dragging me by my hand.

Time Skipppp

"That wasn't so bad right?" Kate asked.

"It felt like hazing than cheering," I complained.

"Well Kathy though you and Tanner were great!" She said.

"So when are we gonna know if we gotta in or not?"

"She'll probably invite you to her sleepover next Friday. I mean it's for cheerleaders only."

"Okay, did my mom or your dad ever talk to you about the wedding date?" I asked.

"No, did they say anything to you?" I shook my head.

"They'll probably tell us sooner or later," I shrugged.

December 15th, 1985 HAWKINS, INDIANA
Your POV:
We were all sitting in the AV room, talking and such until we heard an announcement.

"Will all cheerleaders and all applicants report to the gym," Tanner and I got up.

"Wait you guys tried out for the team?" Mike asked.

"Yeah, is there a problem?" I defended, smirking as I left.

"Okay, When you hear your name step forward. Julia, Tanner and Y/n. Everyone else try again next year," Kathy said rolling her eyes at the last part.

"As for you three, you are all invited to my sleepover at my house on Friday," She smiled handing out the invites.

"We just made the team!" Tanner whisper-yelled.

"I know! I know!" I quietly squealed. Hold on I did I just squeal, oh god.

"Meetings are on Wednesdays and Fridays, games are Saturday but we meet her at 7:00 am, since games start at 8:00. Congrats ladies, see you Wednesday," She smiled, walking away.

"OH MY GOD YOU MADE THE FREAKING TEAM!" Kate screamed, she hugged me very tightly, I was surprised I could breathe.

"This is gonna be sooo much fun!" She squeals. Oh boy, what mess have I gotten myself into now?
