𝒫𝑒𝓇𝓈𝑜𝓃𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎:

Avianna wants to be a spitfire. She's passionate about causes she cares about, and she isn't the type to shut up when she's angry. She's emotional, and she doesn't pretend not to be. She spent too much of her childhood bottling up her emotions and pretending to be indifferent. Going into college, she's decided that she's sick of being passive, so she's trying out a new invention of herself, a much bolder one. She's smart, and she likes to learn new things, being the type of person to always have a few books checked out from the library. She's stubborn, but she's also fiercely loyal. She's observant, and she pays close attention to her surroundings. Avianna, for the most part, genuinely likes other people, and she's outgoing enough to be decently agreeable(unless you piss her off, but that's a whole other story).

She's wants to make the world a better place, so regressive ideas upset her, and she's kind of that one girl in your American History class who was so visibly upset during the Trail of Tears unit that you felt compelled to ask if she was okay. Socially, she laughs easily and tries to be lighthearted, though her positivity can be frustrating if you're just trying to vent.

𝐵𝒶𝒸𝓀𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎:

Avianna grew up in South Texas as the oldest child of a single father, and though her family loved each other, they struggled a lot. Her father was a Mexican immigrant who worked hard, but lacked formal education and spoke very little English. They were poor as a result, and Avianna grew up taking care of her younger siblings as her father tried to support them. As a teenager, she was quiet. She tended to do what needed to be done, and she didn't complain. She did really well in school, and she earned a decent scholarship to Blackwell University.

She didn't know she was a witch until she turned sixteen. Her mother possessed magical abilities, though she died when Avianna was seven, and her father never knew of his wife's history. As a teenager, her Aunt Norma from Mexico City contacted her father. She hadn't seen her sister's children since before Avianna's mother died, due to a long and complicated falling out between the two, a story of which Avianna still isn't entirely sure of the details. She introduced Avianna to the world of witchcraft and later guided her through the application process for BU.
