𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 ᅳ 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

It was a quiet night, not even a breeze cutting through the silence in the California woods. Sage had no idea where exactly they were, what forest they were in or what part of town they were inᅳ and she didn't care.

The only thing that mattered now was that Fawn was six feet under, buried and ready to rot without being able to do any further damage. A sense of calm washed over Sage as she ran her delicate fingers through her blonde hair, completely tangled from workingᅳ after all, a grave doesn't dig itself and Sage wanted to do this with Happy.

As stupid as it sounded, it was something that connected the two even more. A thing only they knew aboutᅳ and Tig.

After much thought, Happy and Sage had decided to call Tig so he could say goodbye to Fawn. Their phones were bombarded with calls anyway. Tig, Jax, Gemma, even her mother, had tried to reach the couple after all relatives were notified that Fawn had escaped from the hospital.

Apparently in such a case the family was informed when a criminal escaped.

The couple consciously decided against telling the others about it. This was their little secretᅳ Tig included. Maybe Sage would tell Dawn about it. Okay, she would definitely tell her sister, they always shared everything.

Happy was the one who thought Jax shouldn't find out about any of this. The SAA felt bad for thinking that way about his Pres, however, after everything he had done to Sage back then and, in Happy's eyes, being complicit in Fawn's actions, Jax deserved to live with the uncertainty if Fawn would ever show up or not.

Part of him just wanted Jax to feel as much anxiety and grief as Sage had to back then and throughout the yearsᅳ it was only fair. And Tig also agreed with this opinion of Happy's and had promised to keep all this between them.

While Tig leaned against his bike with a sleeping Violet in his arms and watched the hole, in which his youngest daughter lay, continue to fill up, he didn't even really try to contain his sadness and at the same time the disgust he felt towards Fawn.

Cradling Violet against his chest, his fingers lightly and without hurting his granddaughter tucked into the blanket in which Violet was wrapped, he sniffed against the slightly pink material, holding back his tears.

He hated feeling sad for someone who had disappointed him so deeply. For someone who had tried to kill his daughter, maybe even hurt his granddaughter. And that someone had been his own daughter. How could he not feel disgusted by this?

His heart ached, but he knew it had to end this way. If not, it would probably be Sage now who would be dead, his mostly innocent daughter.

The blonde often glanced at her father to make sure he was okay. Of course he wasn't and Sage knew thatᅳ but she also knew that she had his full support and he didn't hate her for what she did. At least she hoped so.

Exhausted, Sage pushed the front of the shovel into the dirt next to the grave, breathing heavily and wiping the sweat from her forehead before placing both hands on the handle of the shovel, rolling her head back and forth.

"You should have taken more breaks", Happy grunted after tossing his shovel aside and standing next to his wife, his arm now wrapped around her waist.

"You okay?" He looked down at her with an intense, worried look as she looked up at him with a weak smile, signaling that she was okay.

"I'm fine, Hap", she said firmly, her voice soothing as she leaned against him tiredly, closing her eyes for a moment to bathe her face in the bright moonlight.

In fact, the moon was so bright at this point that they didn't need any other light. They had an inflatable headlight in the trunk just in case, but had never had to use it once. So, this way they were also less conspicuousᅳ although no one would come by here at night anyway.

Her husband knew a thousand places to bury bodiesᅳ as he had said.

And with two men responsible for the club's murders, Sage knew she could trust them to pick a location.

Tig slowly approached the pair, walking behind Happy until he was at Sage's free side. Balancing Violet on his hip, who started fussing for a moment, he put his arm around Sage's shoulder. The former redhead then rested her head on his shoulder but still stayed close to Happy.

"I love you, kid, even after all of this", Tig emphasized seriously, his tired, watery gaze fixed on the uneven spot on the ground. "You did the right thing by protecting your family. I want you to know that."

"Thanks, Dad. I appreciate it", she replied in a whisper, tears stinging in her eyes as Happy grunted in agreement and gently squeezed her hip. She had everything she needed here with her.

And that was it. Fawn was gone, no longer a threat to anyone. No longer a problem to be solved. It was quiet, peacefulᅳ and Sage let that feeling sink in for now.

six, almost seven months later

With a wide grin, Happy crouched down to place the baby carrier on the floor, in which their two-day-old son was fast asleep. He watched with pride as Violet fell to her knees after running towards them to finally see her brother again.

Of course, Violet found the whole thing pretty interesting. At one and a half years old, she didn't understand exactly what was happening here, but she knew that there would now be one more person living in the house and the little girl was absolutely curious.

"Look, now your little brother is finally home", Sage cooed, smiling widely at her daughter as she jumped up and down excitedly. "Come here."

Sage gently pulled her daughter close by her wrist after crouching down next to Happy and then placed Violet between her legs, cuddling the little one close.

Even though Tig or Dawn dropped Violet off at the hospital for the last two days, Sage still missed her daughter. It was the first time since Violet was born that she was really separated from her daughter for two whole nights and the redhead didn't plan on staying away from Violet for some time again.

"Hi mommy!" With a sheepish giggle, Violet planted a kiss on her mom's cheek before reaching out her arms to Happy. "Daddy!"

"Come here, bug." The SAA lifted his daughter from Sage's arms, grinning at his wife as she just rolled her eyes in amusement as Violet wanted to be in his arms.

Violet was just a daddy's girl, without a doubt. Basically, she was attached to both of them and was quite clingyᅳ which didn't bother Happy or Sage. They both enjoyed the family life and every free minute they could spend with Violet, and now Ryder too.

"Here you are." After giving the little family a moment, Dawn, who has spent the last two days here with Violet to look after her, finally strolled up to the four and pulled Sage into a half hug as she also sat down on the floor, stroking Ryder's tiny cheek with the side of her index finger. "God, he's so cute!"

Sage chuckled in amusement, proudly looking down at her son. "What can I say, we two just know how to make cute babies."

"That we do", Happy winked at his wife, on whose lap Violet was sitting, looking at the newcomer with wide, curious eyes.

"Well, you should add a few more then", Dawn suggested with a mischievous grin. "But then your house will be too small."

"Jesus, give me a break. I just pushed a baby out of me", Sage whined, mock-theatrically. "I'm still sore. And I definitely don't want to move again."

"Me neither. This is definitely our home", Happy chimed in with a grunt. He didn't care if Fawn had died hereᅳ that was no reason to sell their house.

"Correct." A happy smile crossed Sage's face, the look she shot Happy full of love and contentment. "Our forever home."

To tease the two of them, Dawn made a mock choking noise. "You two really are cheesy as fuck."

"Hey, let us be as cheesy as we want." Sage defensively pointed a finger in Dawn's face. "You and Ryan are just as cheesy, you just don't admit it."

Dawn shook her head hastily, her eyes wide as she let out a scoff. "We aren'tᅳ not even close!"

"Sure", Happy snorted in amusement, earning a grin from Sage and a glare from Dawn before the oldest Trager then burst out laughing just like her younger sister.

Dawn had been serious and was now living in an apartment in Charming that she shared with her boyfriend Ryan. The two met five months ago and saw no reason to wait before moving in together.

Maybe it was a quick and rash decision, but so far it's been working pretty well for the two of them.

Tig was also happy to have both daughters with him in Charming now, so he could keep a better eye on the women who, along with Ima, were the most important in his life. A few months ago he even proposed to the former pornstarᅳsomething that absolutely no one had expected. And in two months the wedding would already take placeᅳ with Violet and Hayley as the flower girls.

As agreed, what happened with Fawn remained a secret between Happy, Sage, Tig and Dawn. Shortly after the crime Sage had committed, the redhead just had to tell her sister about it and fortunately Dawn continued having her back, even relieved that the whole thing was over now. It was definitely no secret that the two older sisters had never had a close, good relationship with Fawn.

Sometimes Sage would still wake up at night, bathed in sweat and breathing rapidly, after being chased by Fawn in her dreams. But that was itᅳ just a dream that couldn't hurt her.

Thanks to Happy and his support, how he looked after her and was there for her when she needed him, she also processed the events pretty well. Besides, there were now more important things in her lifeᅳ taking care of her family for example.

"I'm fuckin' proud of you, you know that?" Happy croaked against her ear as Violet was occupied with Ryder for a moment and so was Dawn, allowing the two of them a moment to themselves. "And I can't thank you enough for giving me this", he nodded at the two children, a sincere look in his dark eyes.

With a feeling of complete contentment, Sage nestled into his arms once they were both back on their feet, her own wrapped tightly around his waist.

"And I'd give you five more of those cute little things", she murmured against his lips, a small grin on her own that turned into a smile. "Thanks for everything, baby. I'm really grateful that you were the one who showed up at my door in Seattle."

"Me too, little girl", Happy rasped as he cupped her face in his hands to kiss her. It was a long, gentle kiss in which he let whatever feelings he had for her flow into it, earning a contented sigh from her in return.

"I love youᅳ and our little family", the redhead whispered into the kiss, her eyelids, previously closed, fluttering open again to look into his eyes that were filled with nothing but admiration.

"I love you too, babe", he said with a sincere smile before pulling her close to him before simply taking in, and enjoying, the scene that unfolded in front of him.

They had everything they neededᅳ without having to worry that it could be taken away from them at any time.

authors note; and another story comes to an endᅳ which was probably my top favorite one to write. And maybe, not sure yet, there will be a Sequel in the future. Just keep this story in your library or follow me for new updates, that's up to you.

But until then, I'd totally appreciate it if you could check out my new Happy/Jax story JUST PRETEND. It's going to be a little different this time as I'm focusing on two pairs in this story, but Happy x OC will definitely be the main couple I'll focus on. The first chapter should be up this week. [I'll leave the summary and cover below]. And if you are fans of the supernatural [witches] and New Orleans, I'd love for you to check out my original story I'm also writing at the moment. It's called WITCHES OF NEW ORLEANS and you can find it under my published stories. And of course I'll also continue working on SKIN AND BONES.

Summary and Cover of JUST PRETEND

| Happy Lowman x OC / Jax Teller x different OC |

After some club business went wrong, Happy and Jax had no choice but to leave Charming and go into hiding for an unknown period of time, both of them wanted by the police. Neither of them were happy with the whole situation, but it was the only way they could protect their club by letting others, especially the cops, believe they were dead. Only when the problem was solved, which Chibs and the rest would take care of, would the two SAMCRO members be able to return to Charming. But until then they had to make a living in Great Falls, a small town in Montana, in order not to attract attention. Living under a false name was anything but great, and exhausting, but at least they were in this together and not on their own. At the beginning of their journey, neither of them expected that they would meet two women, sisters at that, who would make their stay in Montana a lot more pleasant. Especially Happy, who has never felt particularly attracted to one specific woman, was cautious at first. As if it wasn't confusing enough to him, he was confronted with the beautiful blonde every day now as she was none other than his colleague.
