♦IN NARA'S ROOM♦
-------------+++++++++---------------
While gracefully smearing on some clear lip gloss on her very kissable lips. Nara notices something in her dresser mirror.
"Uh? Ew...gross." She laments, touching the tiny red lump on her forehead with the tip of her finger. Her bold black eyes shimmering in youthful hues were fixated on her mirror, as if trying not to loose sight of it. Rummaging through the contents in her dresser cabinet. Mostly clustered with make-up, accessories, and crayons for some reason. She picks out a sharp looking tool.
-Probably used for manicures...I suppose.
Carefully, she positions the tool on the red lump, childishly sticking out her tongue. Shrieking, she punctures the lump till...it deflates, oozing out a white-ish-yellow pus.
-It was basically invisible I donno why she was so worked up. Anyway...
Quickly, she picks up a cotton ball and dabs the spot. Then, applies some ointment. Ensuring her skin doesn't irritate. Satisfied with her accomplishment.
-If we can even call it that.
Nara once again admires her Pretty face. "There, my face is perfect again."
*Rolling eyes*...
....Yeah, the author wants you to know JUST how pretty she is. Ugh, narcissistic much?
Brushing her hair for the 'One Hundredth Time!' Nara hears her mum's amplified voice ringing an echo into her room. As if in harmony with the air.
"Nara! aren't you ready yet?"
"I'll be down in a sec mum!!!" She responds resonantly.
With a blend of cheer and excitement, Nara props her hair brush unto her dresser and strolls towards her bed. Picking up her pink checkered mini backpack. She straps it on. Admiring herself in the mirror once more. Twirling, and letting out soft 'giggle's' she says; "Damn I look so good!"
Smiling, like the adorable cutie pie she is. Nara walks towards her bedroom door, -pausing for a brief moment. She turns, surveying her bedroom one last time. Her extremely soft and comfy bed, tucked with floral print bedsheets..to her faint pink, closed closet.
-Probably harbouring a miniature fashion store in it.
Then finally, she looked to her Bubble gum-pink painted walls. Pinned with shiny butterfly stickers, posters of J.pop idols and Family photos. Evidence of her love for photography.
-Is it though? I'm pretty sure almost everyone puts up family photos.
Her heart soaked up the warm tingling feeling of happiness that seemed to be resonating and fluttering all around. Heaving a mild but confident sigh, she shrugs and presses down on the door knob, -walking out.

♠THE LIVING ROOM♠
-------------+++++++++---------------
"Nara! Na..."
"I'm here mum!"
"Goodness! what were you doing up there?" Her mum questioned. The woman had been standing at the end of the staircase. Waiting around for her daughter to finally grace them with her presence.
"I was just saying goodbye to my room." She says, struting down the stairs like a disney princess in training. Taken aback, her mum shakes her head. Suprised about the fact it wasn't the usual..."I needed to fix my makeup." Line.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk...your room isn't going anywhere. It'll still be here when you get back."
Nara folded her arms, -and pouted. "Yeah, but! What if my dorm room isn't as homey...or, or comfortable?!"
Smiling at her innocent, yet indubitably weird daughter. Mrs Akimitsu places her hand on Nara's shoulders. "Aw, my little angel..." Looking Nara dead in the eyes, she continued; "Don't be such a DUMMY!!!" While roughly shaking the poor girl.
"Look. A Room, is a room! It's just a place where you sleep. There's nothing special about it. Now go-o-o-o your uncle's been waiting outside." She says, steering Nara towards the direction of the front door. Unwilling to leave just yet, Nara protests. "But mum. Why do I have to go to boarding school? I was doing just fine in REGULAR school."
Rolling her eyes, and tired of her daughters insipid whining. Mrs Akimitsu began; "We've talked about this. It'll help you focus more on your studies, and besides, some of your friends are heading there to. So what's the problem? Normal kids would be overjoyed!"
The girl had been looking for ways to get out of it. But somehow, her mum kept presuading her, telling her reasons why getting into boarding school would be a good choice. The school in question happened to be the 'Best in the world' according to sources. Yet once again, she's brought it up!
"Why won't you just accept the fact that you're going?" Mrs Akimitsu wondered.
Folding her arms. Evidently displaying a bit of attitude. Nara frowns, deforming her well rounded face. Causing elderly folds to weave themselves unto her forehead.
-I swear the author's getting on my nerves. Why do you keep emphasizing the beauty of the this girls face?
Displeased by her mum's statement. Nara sets up the confidence to speak. Stacking up the bravado. One brick at a time, till it was ready to be used as a stepping stool. However, It seems she'd already forgotten. Well, if she had. Then her mum was just going to have to remind her.
"Yeah, I mean it's great n'all but, really. I was doing just fine before. So, why? Like...why now? Couldn't I have done that earlier?" She asks, not sure if she was mentally ready for her mum's ordain. This would mark the fifth time that she'd been having doubts about going. Perhaps for good reason. Or...selfish ones.
"Er...Excuse you young lady!"
-Oh..ho! here it comes...
And this would be the twentieth time her mum would say this; "Some mother's may have been impressed seeing 'B-'s' on every SUBJECT! on their child's assessment card!...But I, DEFINITELY wasn't!"
-Well that was underwhelming. Hold up though! before we continue. I just need to commend this girl. Like, now that I think about it. How the fuck! did you build up the courage to present that card to your mom?
*Mocking*...
....Ha! I bet the author would never have the guts to pull that off. Infact, I bet they aren't even smart enough to get B-'s. On every subject. That seems like a win-win in my book.
*Appluading*...
....DAMN! Bravo girl, bravo...I'm utterly speechless.
Now annoyed, Mrs Akimitsu sternly addresses Nara. "It seems I obviously indulged you way TOO MUCH last semester. Letting you hang out with your friends, instead of allowing extra hours of study was a fault on my part!"
Lil miss Nara avoided direct eye contact with her mum -nervously biting on her lower lip. It was true, she did slack off last semester. Being an A+ student right from the get go. This result, came as a shock! Not just to her parents, but to her teachers as well. This was the girl who was tagged.
'Albert Einstein'! Of...
'The Tokyo super scholar competition'.
-'Alberta Einstein' sounds more like it.
Then went ahead to gain the title of...
'Junior league science wizard'
And...
'The Empress of Art and culture'

Apparently there was too much drama going on, and she'd just been dealing with stuff! Stuff, which she never mentioned to her mum. Either way, whether she liked it or yes...She'd need to go to this school. Else, the cause for her Lack of focus for last times error, would definitely come barging down her heart's doors. And the poor girl wasn't ready to welcome such. Ugh! If only she hadn't been so stupid.
Highschool was a new beginning and now was the time to start off right. Equipped with her newly obtained...
*Cough*....
....And I quote; "Wisdom" from her.."Past...experiences". Girl, if you think you can survive highschool with the knowledge you obtained from junior high alone? Then baby, you probably were born with the wrong kind of brain cells.
"No, no, no, no I will not stand by and watch as my daughter slowly becomes a 'FAILURE'!"
-Honestly though, I think Mrs Akimitsu is overreacting at this point.
Sternly pointing her glossy nails at her daughter face. Mrs Akimitsu in a strick tone says; "Anata wa sono gakkō ni tōtte imasu!" [You, are going to this school!] (あなたはその学校に通っています)
Defeated, and uneager to cause her mum to complain any further. Nara backs down. Accepting her fate. "Okay, okay...you win!" Waving off the argument, she chuckles nervously.
Seeing that her mum's demeanor had gradually begun reverting back to normal. Nara sighs, holding firm to the straps on her backpack, then proceeds towards the door.
"Bye mum!"
"Jizoku suru!"
[hold on!]
(持続する)
"...Uh? what is it?"
Nara asks, -stopping in her tracks. She Intently observed in wonder, as her mum sprints into the kitchen and back in the span of a few seconds.
"Have this! I've packed up your favorite snacks for the road."
Mrs Akimitsu says, presenting a box of various snacks consisting of: Manju, senbei, mochi and dorayaki.
*Snickering*
....All snacks I bet the author is wishing she could taste, pffft!
Gasping, her eyes bubbled in awe and explosive sparks of joy. "YAY!!! thanks mum! you're so-o-o awesome!" She exclaimed.
Feeling like the most prestiged person in the world, at the moment. Mrs Akimitsu raised her chin up in humble-pride.
"Well ofcourse I am, I'm the Bes--"
Without a second thought. Nara rammed herself aggressively into her mother's unsuspecting arms.
-Without collecting the box, I suppose? If I were her I'd take it away first.
She squeezes and embraces her mum tightly. Lost in mixed emotions. She was going to redeem herself. This time no distractions. Besides there was no way that he was going to be there. "I mean what are the odds right?" She pondered. Almost forgetting she'd been hugging her mum.
"Ugh..argh! Too tight, too tight, I c-can't breATH little bear.."
Ignoring her mum's desperate plea for freedom and escape from the tight clutches of her embrace. Nara Squeezes harder.
-Okay. So...I guess the plan was to kill her then?
Still struggling. Mrs Akimitsu swept a glance at their lemon green cat shaped wall clock, and exclaimed!
"Hey!, hey! you've gotta get going!"
Wriggling and maneuvering, as her daughter still refused to let go. Mrs Akimitsu presses down on Nara's face, ultimately pulling away. After releasing herself from restraints of her daughter's 'HUG OF DEATH!'. She takes a firm hold on Nara's wrist, stomps towards the door, opens it, and literally shoves the poor girl OUT!
"Hurry up!" she yells,
closing the door behind them.

In a fit of both worry, and the fear of falling. Nara cries out. Swinging, wobbling and flapping her arms like a penguin attempting to fly.
"Whoa...mu...mu..MUM!"
Floundering, Nara maintained her balance. Placing her foot out, in attempts to avoid colliding face first unto the steps.
-That would've been funny though.
Safe from imminent danger, Nara sways off beads of imaginary sweat.
"Phew, that was close."
Immediately afterwards, she bombastically turned to face her mum. The woman, stood behind her holding the box of treats with both hands -awkwardly smiling. Obviously sorry and not sorry about what she did.
"Hehe...Gomen"
[sorry]
(ごめん)
Nara's eyes twitched in slight annoyance. Sighing, she shook her head as if amused. That's just how her mum was, always in a rush. Suddenly, after straightening herself up. She'd begun to feel it. The cool breeze, blowing mildly, as if caressing her light beige skin.
Breathing in, the somewhat sweet air, Nara waved gleefully at her uncle who'd been standing outside for a long while. He was leaned on his pearl white sedan, checking his phone. When a familiar perky voice rang like a shot! towards him. Consequently pulling him back from the enslaving trance his device had put him under.
"Uh?...Oh! hey there NARA!" Says her uncle, flashing a dashing smile that could melt even the most hardened heart.
-I mean the man may have just been '5 foot 2', but that had nothing to do with his captivating allure. Damn he's F-I-N-E...
*Coughs*...
...Well, er..yeah! back to the story.
Filled with new found Spirit.
-Probably cause of the delicious excitement that awaited her taste buds.
Nara places a gentle kiss packed with immence LOVE on her mum cheek.
"I love you."
She playful says, expecting an immediate response, but, there was none. Instead, there was only a small nod. Judging from her mum's body language, Nara knew it was time to get going. So, she collected the the box of snacks, smiled, and proceeded towards the car. Swinging open the picket fence. Nara skips towards her uncle. The two exchanged pleasantries, performing a secret handshake they'd invented when she was five.
Switching his attention towards his older sister, the man called out. "Hey sis!" yelled Mr 'Hirobara' aka Hiro. As he waved happily at Mrs Akimitsu, she let's out a smile in response, standing still by the door.
"Come on uncle Hiro... Ikimashou!"
[Let's go]
(行きましょう)
Yells Nara, more eager to leave than she had been earlier.
-I swear the switch in emotions with this girl is wild, and trust me when I tell you..it's gonna get way worse! Then again, she is a Gemini. Guess it's just proof of her signs double personality. Or... something.
*Shrugs*...
....Whatever, let's get back to the story.
Literally throwing herself into the passenger seat of the car, Nara checks the back. Feeling rather excited, then happens to spot her luggage. "Huh? why'd mum put it in here?" She wondered. Waiting rather impatiently for her uncle to get in. The thought of getting into highschool. What was she so worried about?
Hiro salutes his sister, striking an enthusiastic smile. Which only irritated her. To her, whether Hiro was an adult or not, he was still the annoying little brother she grew up with.
-Ironic, he's still basically the same height pffft.
And like a Strike Force Commander, Mrs Akimitsu searched within the ambits of her abdomen and thundered the words;
"GET GOING!!!!!!!!!!"
-Chill lady. It's not like it's the first school day. Geez.
While right from the car window, Hiro could feel a cold shrill of hostility emanating from it. Evidently tired of waiting, Nara grunts, throwing a fit! Her impatient side broadly showcasing. Once she'd made up her mind to do something, she becomes overly impatient to achieve that goal.
"You take after your dad. Both of you always wanna get results quickly." Her mum would say.
"Nani o shite iru no? ikimashou!" [What are you doing? let's go!] (何をしているの、行きましょう)
There he was, the poor guy, in-between two 'behemoths'.
"Eh?! So-sorry...
Mochiron desu!"
[Ofcourse]
(もちろん)
-Cut my guy some slack please. He's just being polite.
Chuckling nervously, Hiro bows in respect to his sister. Then, jogs towards the other side of the car, slipping into the driver's seat. Wailing in his head he wonders; "Why are the women in my life so aggressive?!"
Absentmindedly he Inserts the car-key into it's slot. The engine starts and begins reverting. Pressing down slowly on the peddle, and positioning his hands on the steering wheel. The car gradually begins to move. Nara glances at the rare-veiw mirror, noticing her mum waving goodbye. "You could've just said I love you back." She thought. Retracting, she looks at her uncle sitting beside her, handling the wheel like a pro. He had even been sweating. Odd, given the fact that it was a really windy day.
-Must be cause of his near death experience. Lol.
Luckily, he had just been given some time off from work. So, when he heard his precious neice needed to be driven miles away to some 'Epic School'. He couldn't help but oblige. All for nothing more, than a chance to see his little 'Sugerplum'. So, loftly, he returned her gaze. The two then burst into a frenzy of smiles and laughter as they drove off. Leaving behind houses, and rolls of roads.

Finally, the car was out if sight. Mrs Akimitsu went back into the house closing the door shut. Holding fast on the door knob, -it begun to rattle. Her hands were shaking, but, she hadn't noticed. She places her forehead unto the door, and let a subtle, shimmering tear drop slide painfully down her cheek.
"Silly girl, you nearly made me cry in front of you and Hiro."
She sniffs, heaving a heavy sigh. Stepping away from the door, she wipes off cold sweat and tears using the end of her purple sweater.
"I hope you don't hate me for what I've done. keep doing your best sweetie. I love you!"
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
Feeling an uneven mix of readiness and anxiety. Nara breathes in, deeply. -Biting on a dorayaki.
"Let the journey begin!" She muffled, her mouth was stuffed. When it came to her snacks, nothing else mattered.
So the journey continued...
After a few hours on the road. The car finally pulled up. Parking a few feet away from a grand gate. The walls that surrounded it went up a colossal height.
*Mocking*...
....Ha! the author doesn't know anything about geography.
"I think...this is it!" says Hiro, overwhelmed with shock!
-Pffft...You think? Well obviously what else would it be?
"It may have taken a while to get here, but it was certainly worth it wasn't it?" He says in awe and utter disbelief. Expecting a response from his usually chatty niece.
"Nar..a?"
Nara had now become oblivious to the world around her. All she was focused on, was the school's gate. The fact that she was in 'awe' was noticable. I mean seriously, her face was plastered unto the car's window. She left her mouth agape, breathing in, and out. The moisture from her breath happened to blur the window.
"WhOooA!!!"
She subconsciously mumbled out. Fully mesmerized by just the entrance alone. She couldn't help but wonder what the inner walls of the school had kept hidden within. All of the sudden, adrenaline coursed through her. This was it, the feeling of accomplishment. The journey had led up to this moment.
What new discoveries would she make? Oh right! her friends were here as well!
Within the ambits of it's vicinity, no one knows what truly awaited them till they finally go in.

Aseop: Well guys, this is the end. Make sure to comment down below your thoughts, vote and share this novel if you found it interesting.
...What hidden secrets do you think this novel will unfold?
...What do you think Mrs Akimitsu meant by;
..."I hope you don't hate me for what I've done?"...
...What do you think about the narrator?
Which is me ofcourse!
Anyway, that's all for now folks. Just so you know, this chapter is very long since...you know, it's the first chapter. The others might not be as lengthy as this. Or, maybe it will be, depends on how inspired the author is.
Also, there isn't a given time as to when she'll make updates, but, I'm sure she'll try to post new chapters frequently. Given she doesn't procrastinate that is!
Now, if you excuse me. I've gotta go prepare myself for the next chapter.
See you when I see you!
