PERSONALITY
Tessa is a broken girl, hardened and changed after years of being passed around like property. She is definitely tough and unbelievably difficult to fully understand.
When you want to do something insane and you want someone to do it with, you ask Tessa. Her answer 99.9% of the time is yes. Whether it's cliffjumping, cruising, partying or anything in between...she's up for it.
She has a desperate wanderlust that follows her wherever she goes. This can border on recklessness, to the point of endangering the people around her with her madcap antics. Its rarely intentional, and she'll always try to reverse her fuck-ups. Many believe she is careless about her life, because of her tendency to jump into danger willingly. She is very playful and competitive. She'd jump off a cliff so she could say she survived it. Thats probabaly why she does underground fighting...thats when she doesnt reverse what she does to people.

She's bold! She is known to be determined, headstrong and stubborn as she is set in her morals and will not shift. She is very accepting of everyone and doesnt agree with any sort of bias. It is very difficult to tell her that can't do something or that she shouldn't do something. She will simply prove you wrong.
You may think that you're close to Tessa or that you have finally brought her walls down, but trust me that's just her being polite. What's the point in walking around all "you'll never understand me, I'm weird, I'm a weirdo-" when she can just keep her guards to herself? Given that she usually puts others before herself, they see this as a sign of weakness, of letting people in. No, it's just the way she is.

One of her maxims is "work hard, play harder". She works very hard towards her goals, so much so that she will sometimes end up greatly sleep-deprived. She's smart, very smart, due to her curious nature and thirst for knowledge. She is tactical, observant and very good at solving problems and mysteries. In school the teachers were always super bafflee by her ability to get straight As and be on the cusp of expulsion at the same time. She took pride in it for sure.

Don't think this adventurous spirit is why she's going on this godforsaken trip, no. It's because she is so scared of what the future may hold now that she doesn't have the foster care system as a safety net. She doesn't want to deal with the responsibility of building a life from scratch so right now she is relying on the gang she is in and the one person who isn't petrified of her, its leader.

BACKSTORY
Tessa had been raising her little sister, Lily, in a trailer park in the small town they grew up in after their father left them and their mother was arrested for dealing and doing drugs. Her mother floated in and out of their lives while they struggled to get by after a couple months, Tessa was forced to call child protective services on herself and her sister. They got separated and grew up with little to no contact. Ij order to protect herself she built walls, a reputation and relations with a gang. One of her better moves? No, but she was in too deep now. Recently she turned 18 just as this trip became a possibility to her. She is only going so that she won't be homeless at the beginning of summer.
She'll deal with it as late as possible.
