Family situation: Vivian Prescott (Jessie and Journey's mother, and J.W.'s wife) died when Journey was five years old from a car accident, she's been living at the Military Base before her father moved her to New York, after her breakup from her ex-boyfriend as she caught him cheating with Darla's little sister (who is the same age as Journey and whose name is Bethany).

Friend situation(s): Evelyn: Her best friend Evelyn is Journey's best friend and will always be her best friend. They have so much in common and every night they talk to each other even though they're in different time zones but they don't care. Evelyn was the first person that Journey told when she dated Ravi, and Evelyn was so happy for her best friend and she always made the time to come to see her best friend on occasion and or when she has the time.

Samira: Journey and Samira clicked immediately because they were both wearing Taylor Swift merch when they met each other. So they instantly became fast friends, they've been best friends ever since and Bertram liked her because she wasn't annoying like the other kids. Jessie also told Journey how much of a Taylor Swift fan Samira was so when she heard that she knew immediately they're destined to be best friends. Like most friends they have their moments of arguing and fights but they typically make them up.

Ravi: Ravi was special to Journey as she didn't expect to be in a relationship with him. Unlike her previous boyfriend who cheated on her with Bethany. Ravi waited until Journey said that she wanted to start another relationship as he's learned a couple things from Samira with her relationship with Luke and also from her sister's relationships in the past. They don't really 'fight' and argue. If anything that they argue is like which sports team is better. Journey helps Ravi with his projects when he's assigned with Luke knowing that he won't help his brother, which they annoys her to say the least.

Bertram: her and Bertram have a stable relationship as she and Samira would help him.
