CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
"Congratulations you have a beautiful baby girl."

THEY HAD GOTTEN HER INTO THE CAR BUT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. It wasn't exactly a normal baby so were they supposed to go to the hospital? Cassandra just wished they'd make up their minds because the pain she was feeling was unbearable. She hunches over, her eyes squeezing shut for a moment. "Cassandra, love." Klaus says as he strokes her cheek but he knew she was in pain. She only opens her eyes, meeting his as she gives a tight smile.

"Where'd all this blood come from?" Katherine asks as she notices the blood covering Cassandra's stomach. Klaus glances down, his eyebrows furrowed as he wanted to know what had hurt her.

"She was still linked to Qetsiyah." Kol answers and everyone was confused on how they had unlinked her because no one had magic to do it other than Qetsiyah.

"How did you unlink her?" Elijah asks as he looks between them. His eyes settle on Cassandra who avoids eye contact with everybody.

"That doesn't matter right now." Bonnie tells them and everyone was still confused how she was standing in front of them right now.

"How are you alive?" Katherine asks her and Bonnie knew Cassandra didn't want her to say anything so she only changes the subject quickly.

"Are you just going to keep asking questions or help Cassandra since she's about to give birth?" Bonnie almost snaps at them and they all know it's better to ask afterwards.

"Do we take her to the hospital? I mean I've never dealt with a magic baby before." Nathan says as he looks at them and no one truly knew that answer because none of them had dealt with it.

"I think it's the best bet." Klaus says with a sigh as he just wanted to help Cassandra in the best way possible but they didn't know how to do that.

"Cassandra your grips kind of hard." Damon complains as he tries to pull his hand away only for Cassandra to yank it towards her.

"Oh, I'm sorry Damon." Cassandra says as she snaps her eyes to the younger vampire who knew he said something wrong. "I'm a little busy feeling a human trying to pry its way out of my vagina." She sneers at him and he only clears his throat, knowing that he should probably stop talking.

"Sorry." He mumbles as he gets into the car next to her, letting her take out the pain on him. Once the car was gone, Bonnie looks at Kol who was just watching it drive off.

"Did we just make her go into labor." Bonnie mumbles as her eyes go wide, the thought crossing her mind as soon as she saw that Cassandra's water had broke.

"No, I mean.. she was due anytime." Kol tries to convince her but Bonnie only frowns as she could not think that she conveniently went into labor right after bringing her back and using her power.

"If something happens to her baby, Kol." Bonnie says as she looks at him, Kol only shakes his head as he puts his hand on her cheek and leans in close to her.

"Hey, nothing will." Kol assures her but he was mainly trying to convince himself. He couldn't live with himself if she lost her baby because of him. She chose to help him get Bonnie back but if she died.. or if her baby died. It was his fault.

CASSANDRA LETS OUT A SCREAM AS SHE FEELS ANOTHER CONTRACTION HIT HER. The lights flicker as she arched her head back, her eyes squeezing shut. Damon glances around the room, his eyes widening before he looks down at the girl who was relaxed for a moment. "Okay, this isn't going to work if you flicker the lights every two seconds." He tells her as he knew the doctor would ask questions and he didn't really feel like answering them.

"It's not me." She says breathless as she rests her head back against the pillow. Klaus holds her hand, rubbing his thumb along her skin.

"It's her baby." A voice pipes up and that's when they see an unknown woman walk into the room. "It most likely is a witch as Cassandra had the witch genes in her blood before turning into a vampire." She explains as she glances around at them who only stare at her confused.

"Who are you?" Klaus asks, protective over cassandra just incase this woman was going to harm them in any way.

"A doctor who can actually help." She responds with a raised eyebrow and Cassandra could care less who she was. If she knew of the supernatural and was a doctor, she could be a serial killer for all she cared as long as she helped her get the baby out.

"Good. Get everyone out of.. here!" Cassandra groans at the end, feeling another contraction hit her.

"Good luck." Damon sing songs with a smile and she looked like she could really strangle him at that particular moment.

"Damon, I will actually kill you!" Cassandra yells at him, screaming as she grips onto klaus's hand making him groan a little bit.

"Bring my little niece or nephew into this world." Rebekah says with a smile but Cassandra wasn't having any of it. She wasn't exactly happy with her current situation.

"Would everyone stop talking!" She pleases as she lets out another scream making Rebekah clear her throat before leaving with everyone else.

"Okay, it's just like a regular birth except you might experience some shock because your baby is coming from an original hybrid and a mother who is a witch." The doctor says as she thought they would've at least known some of this by now.

"Great... What kind of shock." Klaus asks as he wanted to know exactly what she was talking about.

"Well, you could die." The doctor announces and that's what makes them shocked because they didn't think their baby was that powerful.

"What?" Cassandra asks as her eyes widen, sharing a glance with Klaus.

"Thats why I'm here, to make sure that doesn't happen. You're baby Is a miracle and very powerful, it's sucking your life force as it attempts to leave your body." She explains to the couple who's eyes widen at her words. Not only did she feel the pain of labor but apparently her baby was trying to kill her.

"Fantastic. You wanna tell me some good news?" She asks as she sighs, leaning against Klaus who was way more worried than her.

"The birth will be fast..?" The doctor was almost unsure with her words making the girl glare at her.

"This doesn't feel fast!" Cassandra screams at her making the woman grimace a little bit.

"I'm sorry, I can't give you any medication because well.. you're a vampire." The doctor explains as it would just leave her system immediately so it wouldn't be effective at all.

"This is torture." Cassandra states with a groan as she feels yet another contraction. "Why did you do this to me Nik. You couldn't keep it in your pants?" She asks as she throws her head back, Klaus only smiling as he shakes his head.

"Love, this is as much your fault as it is mine." He says with a chuckle but she didn't like his joke as she glared daggers at the man next to her.

"Are you the one pushing it out of your body?" Cassandra asks as she raises her eyebrows at her fiance who only awkwardly shakes his head. "Then you don't get an opinion." She snaps at him and he only clears his throat, holding onto her hand.

"You're gonna wanna push." She tells Cassandra who shakes her head, tears falling down her cheeks. It was too much for her.

"I don't want to." She admits as she closes her eyes, not wanting to even push a tiny bit.

"Cassandra, you have to." The doctor states but she only continues to shake her head.

"No. It hurts." Cassandra says as she takes a few deep breaths to get the pain to leave her for even a second.

"Just look at me. Hold my hand." Klaus tells the girl, taking her hand and gazing at the woman.  "You can do this." Klaus states as she only keeps their eye contact before beginning to push. Cassandra could only go for a few seconds before stopping, her energy depleting.

"There we go, come on. Again." The doctor tells her but she only shakes her head, she couldn't do it.

"I-i-- can't."  Cassandra gasps out as she squeezes klaus's hand, feeling his rub her with his thumb.

"Push Cassandra!" She yells at the woman who takes a deep breath before pushing, a loud scream leaving her lungs. After, Cassandra collapses back, sweat covering her body.

"Okay, I see the head." The doctor says making Cassandra sigh in relief that it was almost over.

"You're almost there, love." Klaus assures her as he brushes the damp hair out of her face.

"Just one more!" The doctor tells her and cassandra screams as she pushes again before feeling a sense of relief. Cassandra's body relaxes as she sees the woman holding a baby in her arms. "Congratulations, you have a beautiful baby girl." She announces making a smile form on cassandra's face for a moment before her vision goes black and she crashes back against the pillow.

"What just happened?" Klaus asks concerned as he strokes the girls cheek, he was glad that he could still see that the girl was breathing.

"Shes okay. It took a lot out of her. She needs her rest." The doctor explains as the man continues to stare down at an unconscious Cassandra. "Do you want to hold your daughter?" She asks the man who only snaps his eyes to the baby in the woman's eyes. Klaus nods his head slowly, making his way over. The woman smiles as she passes the baby over to his arms carefully.

"Hi." He says softly as he stares down at his baby, the eyes staring up at him innocently. The baby coos making Klaus smile as a few tears prickle in his eyes.

"Do you have a name for her yet?" The doctor asks and Klaus nods his head, glancing over at Cassandra for a moment.

"Yeah, we do." He says as he looks down at his daughter, a smile on his face. Klaus never knew he would feel this happy. He had the woman he loved and now he had a second love. Someone who he never thought was possible to have.

A daughter.

OPENING HER EYES, the hospital lights shine brightly making her squint a little bit. She groans, turning her head to see Klaus sitting next to her holding their daughter with a smile on his face. Cassandra wanted to feel something, happiness, relief, anything but it didn't seem to want to appear. She could feel physical pain of course but not emotional, not even after having her beautiful daughter.

"Nik?" She asks quietly making his eyes move to her, offering her a soft smile as he moves towards her so she could see their daughter.

"Hello, love. You're awake." Klaus says, trying to keep his voice soft as he could tell she was still recovering.

"What happened?" Cassandra asks as she sits up lightly, grimacing at the pain that she feels in her stomach.

"Your body shut down. Everything was too much so it needed to rejuvenate." Klaus explains to her making the woman nod before her eyes move to her baby that Klaus was holding.

"Is that her?" She asks as she stares at the baby, Klaus smiling as he nods his head before standing up and moving closer to Cassandra.

"Say hello to your daughter." Klaus says as he passes their daughter over to her, Cassandra tensing a little bit.

"Hi." She says softly as she stares down at the baby in her arms. "Hi, Helena." Cassandra felt like it was foreign to her body to say that. It didn't seem real and even if it was, she couldn't feel it. "I'm your mommy." She tells Helena who coos a little bit making Cassandra smile lightly. "We may have to push the wedding." Cassandra states as she moves her eyes to Klaus who knew what she was talking about. They were going to get married this week, not knowing their baby was going to come.

"What, you can't do a Caroline Forbes wedding next week?" Klaus asks jokingly making her laugh lightly. Cassandra glances down at her daughter, her eyebrows furrowing a little bit.

"I can't believe this is real. I keep thinking this whole thing's a dream." She admits as she plays with the girls hands. Cassandra just wished that she actually felt the pure happiness that she knew was inside of her.

"You got your family, love." Klaus says as he presses a kiss to her head. Cassandra smiles as she leans against him.

"We have a daughter." Cassandra says softly as she stares down at her baby who was only staring back.

"You better not get into any trouble miss." The man says as he points his finger at the baby making Cassandra raise an eyebrow as she shakes her head.

"Already so protective." She states making Klaus smile as he chuckles lightly. No one would mess with his daughter. Not as long as he was around.

"Can we come in?" Katherine asks as she pops her head inside the room. Cassandra nods at her causing her to smile and open the door wide, the room filling with people who all wanted to see the baby.

"Oh, my god. She's adorable." Caroline says with a gasp as she smiles at the baby in Cassandra's arm. Elijah looks at Klaus, seeding the pure joy on his face.

"Congratulations, brother." He states as he clasps the man's shoulder making him smile at Elijah before looking back down at his daughter.

"What's her name?" Octavia asks as she reaches her finger out to hold the baby's tiny hand. Cassandra glances at Klaus before looking at everyone with a smile.

"Helena Bonnie Mikaelson." Cassandra says making Bonnie's eyes brighten as she stares at the couple. She didn't ever expect for her name to be added since she didn't feel like she deserved it. Cassandra did. "Named after the woman who saved my humanity." She states as Kol had told her it was her idea to find her mom and bring her to her. Bonnie knew it would trigger something inside of her.

"Can I hold her?" Bonnie asks with a smile as she gestures towards Helena. Cassandra nods before carefully passing her daughter towards the girl.

"Hi." Bonnie says as she stares down at Helena who stares back up at her. The witch smiles as she glances over at Cassandra only to see the woman blankly staring at her hands. She furrows her eyebrows confused, her eyes flickering around the room only to see Elijah also staring at Cassandra. Bonnie didn't know what was wrong, but now that Helena was out in the world. The divine had no chance of surviving inside of Cassandra. Not when they would do anything for cassandra to be normal again.
