CHAPTER ONE
"Marry me"

β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’

CASSANDRA WAS SURPRISED TO SAY THE LEAST WHEN SHE WALKED OUT ON THE BALCONY OF THEIR CASTLE, seeing Rose petals scattered around and a candle lit dinner set out on a table. Her eyes widen as a bright smile takes over her features. Klaus had decided to do something for the woman's birthday even though Cassandra wasn't fond of celebrating it. He follows behind her, watching her take in the scene in front of them. She covers her mouth, giggling before turning around to face Klaus who gazes down at her. "Wow, what is all of this?" She asks as she was a little bit taken back by the sudden affection. Cassandra didn't know why he did this, maybe to show his love though he hadn't been around easily.

"Just something special for my special girl." Klaus says with a smile as he leans down to press a kiss on her lips. Cassandra kisses back softly, feeling his hand stroke her cheek. Pulling away, she looks at him, seeing the pure love and admiration in his eyes as he stares down at her.

"Nik, you didn't have to..." Cassandra trails off, shaking her head as she didn't think she deserved him going to such lengths to please her. She didn't need any of this fancy stuff, all she needed was more time with him. Klaus brings his hand down to hers, clasping them together and giving her a comforting squeeze.

"It's your birthday, of course I did." He answers her as he brushes a strand of hair behind her ear. Cassandra falters at his words, totally spacing on her birthday. They rarely did anything for it because Klaus was gone most of the time around it. Sometimes she didn't even want it to come around. Cassandra didn't like celebrating her birthday because it was just a reminder that she was stuck. That and that it was the day her mother died and she was left with her horrible father. She didn't want to remember that.

"They're beautiful, thank you." Cassandra tells him after composing herself, putting on a tight smile to hide the obvious pain in her expression. Klaus noticed it but didn't address it as he didn't want to bring the mood down even more.

"Sit down, love." Klaus says, clearing his throat as he gestured to one of the chairs. Cassandra moves to it, sitting down as she stares at the table. "You're the big one fifty this year." He states with a smile reshowing on his lips. Cassandra frowns, sighing as she wanted this night to be lovely, not bringing up her age and past.

"Please don't remind me." She begs, shaking her head as she rests her hands on the table. Klaus stares at her confused, furrowing his eyebrows. He didn't know why she was feeling this way, he thought doing something nice like this for her would make her feel happy.

"I thought you loved being with me for all eternity." Klaus points out as he reaches over to grab her hand again. Cassandra sighs, squeezing it as she meets his eyes. It wasn't because she didn't want a reminder of their eternity together, she just didn't want a eternal reminder that her mother died for her.

"I do, but not when you put an actual age on my life." She says softly, her eyes casting to the ground as she didn't really want to say the full reason. Klaus knew what she was holding back though and he felt horrible that he made her remember that day.

"Okay, fine." Klaus says, offering a kind smile earning a curious expression from her. He leans forward, putting his hand overtop of hers. "This day will no longer be celebrating your birthday, it will be celebrating the journey we have gone on together and will continue forever." He explains to her as he presses a kiss to her hand. Cassandra could feel a genuine smile form on her face as she felt glad that he was understanding towards her.

"I like that." She says with a nod, leaning on the table as she giggled. Klaus licks his bottom lip, finally allowing his eyes to roam over her, taking in the beauty that sat in front of him.

"You're magnificent." Klaus tells her seeing her eyes light up at the compliment. She leans over, pressing a kiss to his lips, careful not to knock anything over. He presses a last kiss before pulling away from the girl.

"You're not too bad yourself." Cassandra replies, a smirk playing on her lips as she eyes up the man. Klaus chuckles, raising an eyebrow at the girl's obvious staring.

"I love you." He says as he gazes into the eyes of the woman he loves. Cassandra giggles, blushing lightly as she glances down at her hands. Klaus plays with box in his suit pocket, clearing his throat as he was waiting for the right time to use what was in it.

"I love you more." Cassandra states as she meets his eyes once again. Klaus had been planning to propose for quite a while now, he just hasn't found the right moment to do it. "Did I tell you that Rebekah was trying to get me to buy this wedding dress last week?" She catches his attention again, his eyes widening lightly. Klaus furrows his eyebrows for a moment, not understanding why his sister would do something so transparent.

"No, but do tell." He says as he lifts his glass up to his lips. Cassandra laughs, shaking her head as she couldn't even think of anything close to marriage.

"Well, it was obviously very beautiful and we could obviously afford it but I don't know. What's the point?" She asks, making the man frown shortly as his eyes flicker to the table. Cassandra didn't seem to notice the man's distant expression as she continues to talk. "We're gonna be together forever anyways, why do we need to 'make it official'." Cassandra finishes as she shrugs her shoulders, picking up her fork in order to start eating. Klaus gives her a tight smile, although his eyes didn't show the same. It was her opinion but hearing the words come from her mouth was unsettling to him.

"Yeah, you're right." Klaus replies as he stares at the food on the table. Cassandra smiles over at him before digging in, not noticing the saddened expression on his face. He didn't care about the wedding, he just wanted to make her his officially. Make her his wife. But it seemed she didn't want that. She thought they were perfectly fine.

β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’

THE UNIVERSE DIDN'T SEEM TO GIVE A DAMN ABOUT HER RECENT LOSS. One moment she was in her apartment crying her eyes out over Klaus's death and the next she had ten vervain needles shot into her. She thought maybe it was a sign that she should just give up. That they'd meet again in the after life. On the other side where all the other supernatural creatures seemed to go. Cassandra didn't know if she would be able to see others but she was hopefully. It beat being miserable for the rest of eternity. She didn't want to go on without him. What was the point? What was the point of realizing who she wanted when he was dead. She wasn't even given a day with the man because he was taken so suddenly.

Cassandra never even got to tell him that she chose him. Klaus died most likely thinking she was going to choose his brother. This was her breaking point. She couldn't even feel her emotions as they poured out. Cassandra felt numb, her gaze void as she stares at the floor of the van she was in. Cassandra didn't even notice Rebekah and Caroline were also with her, both trying to gain her attention to no luck.

They were currently being taken somewhere by the council who were told by Alaric Saltzman of the vampire's in town before his demise. If Cassandra could kill the man again she would. Maybe it would give her some peace but she figured it wouldn't. It didn't the first time. Cassandra let's her head roll to the side as she felt the tight ropes around her arms. It seemed Rebekah had noticed them as well as Caroline sitting next to them started to talk. "Vervain ropes. Looks like Alaric outed us all to the council." She says unamused as she looks over at Rebekah who scoffs, rolling her eyes. The council wasn't going to be able to get much out of her.

"Council?" She asks, her voice tired as she didn't even know what this council was. Rebekah didn't pay much attention to what happened in the little town. "What does the council think they can do to me?" Rebekah adds as she tries to tug at the ropes but it was no use because she was still weak from the vervain in her system.

"Whatever they do to me, I hope it's quick." Cassandra pipes up, catching their attention as they stare at her confused. The girl was willingly wanting to be tortured but there was no logical explanation to it. "I want to die anyways." She tells them blankly as she stares at her hands. Rebekah shares a worried look with Caroline who didn't want to lose the girl. She had already lost Tyler, she was not planning on losing anybody else.

"Don't say that Cass. Don't ever say that." Caroline scolds the girl, not wanting to hear those words come out of her mouth ever again. She knew Cassandra was hurting but she thought maybe she could push through it. She'd already perservered through so much but it seemed this time was different. She was about to say something else when suddenly something hits the van, causing it to spin around. They were in shock as the van crashes on its side, sending a brief pain into the girl's.

"What the hell happened?" Rebekah asks with a groan as she tries to look around but her vision was clouded. The door of the van suddenly flies open, revealing 'Tyler' who was currently habited by Klaus, unaware to the three girls. Caroline glances over, her eyes widening at the sight.

"Tyler?" She asks confused as she didn't think she was seeing the man right now. Klaus nods, ripping off the other door as well before moving into the van.

"I'm harder to kill then you think." He states as he clears his throat, glancing behind him for a moment making sure there was no one trying to sneak up behind him. Caroline was in pure shock, thinking Tyler had to be dead because Klaus was. That was the way it worked.

"You're alive? You're actually alive." Caroline says with a gasp, happiness filling her as she stares at the man she thought was dead. Klaus gives her a quick smile as he glances around the van, seeing his sister and Cassandra next to each other.

"No time to talk." Klaus tells her quickly making Caroline nod, not wanting to interfere with him savings them. He quickly moves over to Cassandra who was blankly staring at the roof, not even budging when he rips off her ropes.

"Wait, why are you just taking her?" Rebekah asks with a scoff as she glared at Klaus who only glances at her. Caroline was confused slightly, also not understanding since she thought Tyler would break her out first. Not that she wasn't happy that Cassandra could get away.

"One, she's stronger and can help come back for the rest of you and sounds like she has a suicide wish." Klaus admits as he lifts her out of her seat, catching her as she fell into his arms. She was only partially weak but she was hoping he would leave her if she acted like she was no use.

"That's true. She really needs help, Tyler." Caroline pleads, her eyes following Cassandra as she finally gave up on her little tactic and moved out of the van. Klaus kneels down to his sister, giving a little smirk towards her.

"Keep them busy, little sister." He whispers to her, winking at her before leaving the two girls. Rebekah was in shock, her eyes widening as her mind was going through all different emotions. Her brother was alive. And he just left her. He went after Cassandra instead.

Klaus sighs as he had Cassandra's arm around his shoulder even though she wasn't even injured. "Come on, you gotta put some effort in." Klaus tells her as they made it halfway in the woods, practically pulling her the whole way as she wasn't motivated into walking. Cassandra scoffs, rolling her eyes as she pushes off of him, her arms crossing over her chest.

"Why did you save me?" She asks as she glared at 'Tyler' who was standing there. Cassandra wanted to be killed and this man had to come and ruin it. He didn't even save his own girlfriend, instead he chose the girl who he had hardly had any interaction with.

"You're stronger and can help get everyone else back." Klaus states as he shrugs his shoulders, glancing around their surroundings as he knew they had to hurry so they were actually able to save Caroline's life. Rebekah would be fine since they couldn't kill her without a white oak stake so he wasn't particularly worried about her.

"I didn't want to be saved." Cassandra groans as she turns away from him, beginning to walk away as she wanted to be alone. Klaus just followed her though, not wanting to leave her alone in this state.

"Could I at least get a thank you." He asks as he raises an eyebrow, appearing in front of the girl who only glares at him before breaking off a wooden branch and bending it in half. Klaus watches her cautiously wondering what she was going to do with it.

"Go away, Tyler. Let me stake myself in peace." She pleads as she holds it up to her chest but the man only feels his heart drop as he stares as her. Klaus didn't understand why she would want to end her life just because she thought he was gone. Did he have that much of an impact on her?

"No can do, love." Klaus tells her as he shakes his head, shaking off the slap as he takes the wood from her hand and throwing it to the ground. Cassandra groans at the persistence of the man in front of her. What did she have to do to end her life without the interference of anyone.

"I know you love Caroline and all but just let me--" Cassandra stops herself as she stares at the ground for a moment. Her eyebrows furrow as she recalls Tyler's words. She didn't know why they sounded so familiar, and when did Tyler ever give her a nickname. Let alone love. Caroline wouldn't care if he did but the two really weren't that close. In fact they barely knew each other. Cassandra turns to the man slowly, suspicous eyes on the man as she puts her guard up. "Did you just call me love?" She asks, it still not clicking in her head yet. Klaus stares at her, tilting his head as he smirks at the vampire in front of him.

"I don't know, love. Did I?" He asks as he raises an eyebrow at her. Cassandra could make out that cockiness anywhere and the way his body was showing similar movements to the man she was in love with. She just didn't know how it was possible. Part of her felt it was a trick because she saw him go up in flames. Rebekah and Elijah were both currently grieving the loss of their brother.

"Nik." It was almost a questionable tone as Cassandra couldn't truly tell if it was him or not. Klaus could tell the wheels were turning inside her head but Cassandra only continued to stare at him, needing confirmation.

"In the flesh." Klaus could see the girl's eyes light up as she gazes at him. He knew his 'death' affected her and he felt horrible that Bonnie wasn't able to contact her before Alaric reached him but it would of gave it away if she didn't have a realistic reaction. "Well, relatively." He corrects as he glances down at Tyler's body. Klaus was grateful to Bonnie for actually going through with the spell since she wasn't his biggest fan. Cassandra suddenly kisses him roughly, her hands gripping his shirt In order to pull him closer. Klaus kisses back for a few seconds before he snaps out of the daze he was in. "Woah, easy there." He laughs as he smirks at the girl. Klaus loved the energy she was displaying but it wasn't the ideal situation for him. "Wrong place, wrong time, wrong equipment." Klaus says quickly, clearing his throat as he steps away from the woman but she only pushed him back against a tree, taking off her shirt swiftly. He groans at the sight, having an internal battle with himself.

"You are miraculously alive. You're really alive and all signs point to hot hybrid vampire sex." Cassandra doesn't even finish her sentence before she devours him again, moaning against his lips. It was different since it wasn't really him but it seemed she was the only one who wasn't affected by it. Klaus wanted to give in to her lips but he didn't want their moment to be whilst he wasn't in his own body.

"Once I get back in my original body." Klaus tells her as he holds her away from him, not wanting her to be kissing Tyler's body, even though he was the one in it. He wanted it to be authentic. "Then I will rock your world, love." He adds with a smirk playing on his lips. She brightly smiles back at him, pressing into him as she rests her forehead against his. Granted, it was a little bit weird since it was Tyler's body but in that moment she didn't care.

"You're really here." Cassandra gasps, not believing her own words as she stares at the man, a distant expression on her face. Klaus nods, taking a step closer to her as a way to hopefully get her out of her trance.

"Now, go help save Caroline and my sister. I will go get my body back." Klaus informs her as he rubs her hand a little bit more. Cassandra just stands there for a moment, almost afraid to leave because she was scared this wasn't real. That if she turned away for even a second, he would be gone. The man only gives her a reassuring smile, squeezing her hand as he knew she was probably still in shock to him still being alive. Eventually, Cassandra hesitantly pulls away from Klaus, her eyes still gazing into his before disappearing in order to do as he said. Praying to herself that it was all real and that she didn't lose the one person who made her feel whole.

β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’

CASSANDRA SAVED REBEKAH AND CAROLINE IN RECORD TIME. Granted she just wanted to get it done quickly so she could get back to klaus which still felt like she was living a fever dream. She could tell Rebekah knew, giving her a nod as to tell her to leave them whenever their cages were unlocked. Caroline was confused but gave her the go ahead too. Cassandra had also opened the cages for Stefan and the newly vampire Elena. To say she was shocked to see the doppleganger still living was an understatement. She didn't realize that the girl had vampire blood in her system when she died. But right now that was not the pressing concern she wanted to address.

Bursting into his house, Cassandra looks around frantically. She could feel her pulse raising as she was scared that she wouldn't be able to find him. That maybe Tyler was just playing a trick on her. But that wouldn't explain how the Salvatore's and Caroline, and frankly Tyler were still alive. They were part of Klaus's bloodline. So there was only one conclusion. He was alive. She hadn't imagined it. Turning the corner, her eyes land on the soft figure standing in the living room, a glass in hand. Klaus had his back turned to her as he drunk out of his glass.

It seemed like he noticed her presence because he had turned his body to look at her. His real body. This time, she knew for certain it was him and it made her sigh in relief. Cassandra stood frozen for a second before she practically jumped into his arms. Klaus caught her, chuckling lightly as he wraps his arms around her, holding her up as she wraps her legs and arms around him. She snuggles her head into his neck, holding him tightly as she was afraid he'd disappear again. Klaus smiles, glad to be able to see her again because he thought for sure he was going to die until Bonnie came to see him.

"Oh, my god." She breathes out before bringing her head back to be able to look at his face. Klaus gazes back at her before feeling her lips smash against his own. He is taken back a little bit but kisses her back almost instantly. Their lips move together with passion and love as they were afraid that one another may be taken away. She gasps into the kiss as they devoured each other, soaking in the moment. Klaus pulls away ultimately, a little shocked at the sudden affection. "I didn't think I'd ever get to see you again." She admits as she strokes both of his cheeks, feeling him let her down to stand. Klaus nods, his eyes moving to the ground for a second as he remembered the split second before Alaric staked him.

"I know, love. I was worried too." Klaus tells her as he sighs, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. Thinking he would never see his love again was weighing his heart down. He was just glad Bonnie wanted to save her friends and that she wanted to spare Cassandra of another heartbreak.

"I chose you." She blurts, not wanting to waste another second longer. She felt like he had the right to know as soon as she could tell him because that would mean more time together. Because what has been made apparent is that they may not have eternity together after all.

"What?" Klaus asks, his eyes wide as he snaps his head towards her. He thought for a second that this was a dream but then she touched the skin of his arm. Cassandra looks down at the ground for a moment before moving her eyes up to meet his. A soft look in behind them.

"When I thought you died... I finally realized that's it you. It's always been you, Nik." She states as she takes a step closer to him, Klaus only staring at her. He was listening to her words very carefully, worried that this was all in his head. "I want to be with you forever and when I saw you burn up in flames it's like a part of me died as well. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe. And the longer I stood there, the more I felt like I was dying too." Cassandra explains to him as a small frown takes over her features. Reliving the memory of watching him fade out of her life, she felt like she wasn't even in her body. Klaus looks at her with saddened eyes for a moment, feeling horrible that she had to witness such a thing. He made her feel like that. "I choose you." She breathes out, a smile on her lips as she meets his eyes. Klaus didn't believe it, he didn't think she would actually choose him. Elijah seemed like the better choice. But she didn't want the better choice. She wanted him.

"It's about time, love." He tells her with a smirk growing on his lips. Cassandra giggles, falling against his chest as their lips press together. Klaus rubs her cheek, bringing her closer as they kiss softly. Cassandra looks at him lovingly, knowing she made the right decision. Elijah was a good man. She knew that. But he deserved someone better than her. Someone who would love him and only him.

"Marry me." The words came out of her mouth before she could even process them. She even shocked herself when they were said out loud. Klaus just stares at her, eyes widening lightly as he seemed to clamp his mouth shut. A nervous feeling erupts in her stomach as she stands in silence with the man. "We have eternity to be together and I want to do it right this time. I want to be with you completely. I want to spend every day for the rest of our lives with you. And I know I said we didn't need it but I was dumb and stupid and probably botched like your dozen attempts of proposing. So marry me." She says, laughing lightly as she stares at him, terrified that his silence meant that he didn't want it. Perhaps he had changed his mind. He didn't want her anymore. But that was so far off from his true thoughts. Klaus just didn't think he deserved this. Happiness.

"You're not kidding, right?" He questions curiously as he thought it may have been a joke she was pulling on him. Klaus was confused at the sudden question, especially after everything they've been through. Cassandra smiles, shaking her head as she gazes at the man she loves.

"Marry me, Nik." She says again, this time grabbing at his hands and pulling him closely to her. Their foreheads rest against each other, their breathes perfectly in sync. If he was being honest, Klaus didn't think he heard her right. He never thought she would accept his proposal let alone ask him herself. Cassandra was never the one to think marriage was a happy ever after. Mainly because she never thought people got a happy ending until she met him.

"You do know im gonna propose to you properly, right love?" Klaus asks as he raises an eyebrow at the girl amused. Cassandra shakes her head, giving the biggest smile possible. She couldn't believe after all this time, not even thinking she would ever get married because she never wanted it in the past. Cassandra was going to marry the man that she was in love with. That she was destined to be with. But she didn't need a fancy proposal. This was all she needed. Him in that moment.

"I don't need that. I just need you." She tells him before smashing their lips together again. Klaus moans into the kiss, picking the girl up and allowing her to wrap her legs around his waist. She grips his hair, their lips moving feverishly together. She moans, pressing closer to him as she takes in the moment. They were finally happy together after so long of being apart. "And plus, Caroline will plan us a wedding that will literally last forever." Cassandra says as she pulls away from the man for a second. Klaus chuckles, knowing that was very much true. Caroline probably had it all planned out already. He shakes his head, connecting their lips again as he drops her on the bed, crawling on top of the woman. Cassandra smiles up at him, feeling finally pure again, like she was put back together. She wasn't broken anymore. And she wasn't going to let anything ruin that.

β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’

CASSANDRA WAS FILLED WITH JOY AND HAPPINESS AS SHE STARES AT THE MAN LAYING NEXT TO HER IN THE BED. She hadn't felt this way in a long time but now it was back. They just gazed at each other as thoughts ran wild in their heads. They were finally back together, and engaged. Cassandra never thought they would get to this point in a million years. Let alone her being the one to actually propose. She just wished that she had figured out her feelings earlier. Or even better, had never left him in the first place. Elijah was amazing but it never truly compared. Although, he was truly kind to her and she appreciated that. Cassandra giggles as she peeks over the covers, finding Klaus smiling at her as she was hiding from him.

The pureness in her smile, in her laugh, in her eyes, he never thought he would see it again. Klaus always dreamed of it, to see the girl as her true self again. The person she was before he tainted her. To see it, it seemed like a whole nother life. Klaus couldn't let this slip away from him again. Not when they were both truly happy again. They finally had each other. He leans over, hearing her laugh again as a bright smile takes over her features. Klaus plants a kiss on her forehead before sitting up and moving towards the edge of the bed in order to get up.

Cassandra sees this and gasps, not wanting to leave the comfort and content she was feeling. Reaching over, she grabs onto his arm, pulling him back towards her and engulfing his body into a hug. "No, no, no." She squeals a smile as she wraps her legs around him. Klaus chuckles, giving into her touch as she smothers him with kisses.

"Love, we've got to get up eventually." Klaus states as he smiles down at her. Cassandra groans, not wanting to leave because she knew there was going to be a new problem to deal with. She only shuts him up with a kiss as she leans against his chest. Klaus gives in to the affection as he deepens the kiss, pulling her closer.

"Let's just stay in bed. Make love all day." She tells him as she plants kisses on his neck down to his chest, feeling his hand rub the back of her head. Cassandra keeps moving downwards as she hears a soft moan leave Klaus's lips. It seemed that he was getting lost in his thoughts as he felt that her lips were against his skin. He didn't want her to stop but he knew they should before they got too carried away with each other. But Cassandra didn't stop, continuing her path to the edge of the sheets.

"As much as I'd love that..." Klaus trails off as he watches her disappear underneath the covers. He groans, feeling her lips wrap around him. Cassandra starts off slow, using her hand to pump what she couldn't fit. Klaus closes his eyes, his hand moving under in order to grip her hair. She teasingly licks the tip, making him jolt before jerking him a few more times and emerging back on top. Klaus wondered why she suddenly stopped, but he still felt immense pleasure. "Love." He gasps out for a moment as he squeezes his eyes shut. Cassandra smirks at the affect she had on him, knowing he desperately needed to finish after that.

"What were you saying?" She asks as a smirk takes over her features, moving her hand back down towards his waist. Klaus grabs it, clenching his jaw as he stares at her with a small smile. He loved her enthusiasm but they were never going to leave if they couldn't even get out of the bed.

"We still have to finish packing." He tells her, his breathing still a little heavy and she noticed that. Cassandra moves her lips to hover over his, pressing a hard kiss to his lips before pulling away with a teasing smirk.

"I didn't hear you complaining." She teases him, licking her lower lip as her eyes flicker up to his. Klaus only stares at her with a playfully stern look. He presses a couple kisses to her hand before going to stand up. "Nope." Cassandra giggles as she straddles his waist, not allowing him to get up from where they were. She connects their lips again, her hands going to either side of his face. Klaus sighs, kissing her back for a couple seconds, allowing her to wrap herself around him. Cassandra moans against him, a soft gasp leaving her lips a she grinds down on his lap. Klaus groans but lifts her up anyways, laying her on their bed next to him. "Nik." She whines as she crosses her arms, looking up at him as she wanted to spend the day in his arms. Klaus only stands up, ignoring her suggestive eyes and her foot that was crawling up his thigh.

"We have an eternity to do that, love. Come on." Klaus demands softly, gesturing her to get up. Cassandra only lounges across the bed as her eyes follow his movements. She gazes at the mans naked composure, loving what she was seeing as he stretched. He doesn't seem to notice the longing looks as he searched for something to wear.

"My fiance is hot." She states as she checks the man out. Klaus only smirks at her, putting on a pair of pants as Cassandra finally sits up on the bed. Pouting, she reluctantly gets up from the bed, grabbing her clothes off of the floor in order to put them on. Klaus grabs a shirt from his dresser before making his way to the door and walking down the stairs.

After Cassandra got dressed, she followed Klaus down the stairs not even noticing the blonde that was that waiting for them. She did not seem too pleased by the arrival, glaring at Klaus as she blamed him for a lot of things that have happened the past couple days. "How dare you leave me there?" Rebekah asks has she stares at her brother not wanting to be near him but she knew she had to confront him before It was too late. Cassandra stood back awkwardly knowing it was not going to be pretty because Rebekah seemed to have enough with Klaus's antics.

"Hello, brother. Thought you were dead, so pleased you're not." Klaus says as he moves his eyes, not wanting to deal with Rebekah's bullshit. Rebekah seemed offended by his comment though only becoming more angry by the second.

"You left me." She snaps at him, obviously not pleased by his answer as she thought he would give her a logical explanation to why he would just leave her like that because he clearly had enough time to get more than just Cassandra go but he decided not to.

"I only had time to save one of you and you can't die. Stop being so dramatic. I think it's time for us to move on, find some more werewolves." Klaus responds to her, wanting to get out of Mystic Falls before it was too late. Cassandra only stares at her hands not wanting to butt into the conversation because she felt like she would only make it worse.

"So you can create you hybrid family? You don't know anything about family." Rebekah cries, tears filling her eyes as she knew Klaus didn't truly care for her if he would so blatantly leave her behind. She didn't understand what Cassandra saw in him especially after all that he has put her through.

"I know how easily they can be silenced with a dagger." He states with a small smirk forming on his face. Cassandra obviously wasn't pleased by this comment as she gave him a glare, not understanding why he was so cruel to his siblings after all they have done to help him.

"No!" Cassandra hisses at him, not wanting him to put another dagger in Rebekah since she has hardly lived because of all the times that he has stabbed her in the back. But Klaus was too preoccupied watching Rebekah throw one of his blood bags at the wall causing it to splatter all over it. Klaus stares deadly at his sister, hating her for even wasting one bit of it.

"You chose the wrong brother." Rebekah tells Cassandra, staring at the girl with saddened eyes wishing that the girl had chosen Elijah because he would actually treat her right and not the way the Klaus did making her feel like the second choice.

"Drop them." Klaus demands her, a glare set on his face as he didn't want to lose any more of Elena's blood because it was the last of it. He wanted to be able to make more hybrids so he had protection in order to survive with Cassandra because she was easily killed and he was not.

"I warned you. My heart broke thinking I'd never see you again." Rebekah cries, wanting him to see her pain inside that she so blatantly tried to cover up because it didn't seem that he cared too much for her pain or the way she felt.

"Put the blood down, Rebekah. That's a good girl." He tells her again to no avail as she held the last two blood bags in her hand ready to squeeze them if he said the wrong thing to her.

"It's always been me. Not Finn. Not elijah. Not Kol. me. I loved you through everything and you didn't even care." She cries towards him, shaking her head as she couldn't believe after everything they've been through that he would screw it up over and over again and never once truly apologize for the way that he treated her.

"Drop it!" He screams at her earning a flinch from Cassandra as he was filling with rage. She didn't want to see him acting like this but she knew it wasn't an inevitable with the way Rebekah was acting.

"You want your family? Here's your family." Rebecca finishes before squeezing the blood bags making the blood go every where. Klaus clenches his jaw, staring at his sister blankly for a second. Cassandra didn't know what he was going to do in that moment. Suddenly Rebekah is held against the wall, his hands wrapped around her neck causing her to whimper out as she cried looking at him.

"Do you know something, Rebekah. You're right. I don't care. From this moment on, you are not my family, you are not my sister, you are nothing." He sneers at her before snapping her neck and dropping her body to the ground, Cassandra gasps out as
She runs towards Rebekah but it was no use as the girl was already unconscious on the ground.

"Nik!" Cassandra scolds the man as she turns to give him a deadly stare. She couldn't believe that once again he had failed to apologize and just own up to his own actions.

"Rebekah deserves it." He says with a scoff as he rolls his eyes not liking how she was taking his sister's side in all of this. Klaus thought that she would see it from his point of view but obviously not.

"Why? Because she killed your backup family?" Cassandra asks, tears forming in her eyes as she stares at the man who supposedly loves her back. Klaus snaps his head towards her at this, seeing the pure pain in her eyes and she thought that everything was a lie. "Am I not enough, Nik?" She asks, her voice cracking as she stares at him, shaking her head defeatedly. Klaus takes a step towards her, taking both her hands in his.

"Of course you are love." He admits truthfully as he knew that she needed to be reassured. Klaus wasn't lying like most people thought, he really did think she was enough he just wanted to protect her especially after all the people that have come after them in just the past couple months.

"Look me in the eyes and say that again." She demands as she needed one more sign that he was telling the truth. Because she didn't want to blindly follow him again only to get her heart broken one last time. Klaus sighs, grabbing her face on either side and his eyes piercing into hers.

"You are enough." He says again firmly as he wanted to get his point across. Klaus bites his lips as he glances down at the ground for a second. "I just..." He trails off for a moment, not knowing what to say for a second. "You left me once. What's stopping you from doing it again." He points out, not wanting to lose her especially for another five centuries. Klaus went through hell and doesn't want that to happen again.

"Nik, I love you. That should be enough reassurance." Cassandra says with a sigh as she smiles and gives his hand a squeeze to assure him that she wasn't leaving and that she wasn't going to again.

"We could've had an army to protect us." Klaus says softly as he stares at their hands, feeling that he let her down because he allowed Rebekah to destroy Elena's blood.

"We don't need them. We can protect each other." Cassandra tells him as she smiles at him earning one back from the man. "You clean this up. Apologize to Rebekah." Cassandra demands as she stares at him hearing the disgruntled noise he gives her after hearing what he has to do, he didn't want to apologize because he didn't feel he was the one that needed to. "Apologize to Rebekah. I'm gonna go grab us some drinks for the road." She says most sternly this time as she knew it would take more convincing because he didn't want to apologize because he thinks he did nothing wrong.

"Okay, love." Klaus replies with a sigh, not wanting to argue with that so he was just going to do as he was told. Cassandra gives him one last smile, giving him a kiss on the lips before turning around so she can leave Klaus to make amends with his sister.

After Cassandra had made her way into the Mystic grill, she sat herself at the bar so she was able to order what she wanted to go to take with her on the road. She looks at the bartender in front of her giving a brief smile as she didn't want to stay long ."Can I get a couple bottles of bourbon." She compels him with a small smile on her face tilting her head lightly. The bartender only nods before turning away to grab what she wanted.

"Early morning drought?" An unfamiliar voice asks causing her to turn her head only to see a man sitting next to her, an off vibe radiating from him causing her to put up a guard lightly.

"My fiancee and I are leaving town." She answers him bluntly not wanting to give him too much information because she didn't know who he was or if he was trying to gain anything from her. Because it didn't seem like anyone came to town without a reason and it usually ended up biting them in the ass.

"I just got here. Sorry we couldn't become accomplices." He tells her with a small smirk playing on his lips. Cassandra only gives him a weak smile although she wasn't getting the best feeling from him. She just wanted to desperately get her drinks and leave because see had a feeling that something bad was going to happen if she did stay there any longer.

"Yeah. Same here." Cassandra lies to him, not really wanting to get on his bad side because she smelt vervain on him and he didn't look like the time to be a vampire so he obviously was something else.

"Connor." He introduces himself as he puts out his hand in order for her to shake. Cassandra only stares at it, not wanting to shake his hand because she could sense something was wrong. Thankfully the bartender came back with the bottles and placed them in front of her. Cassandra gave him the money because she didn't want Connor to see that she didn't pay for what she ordered.

"I'm sorry. I'm late. We were supposed to leave an hour ago." She says politely as she glances at his hand one more time and gets up from her seat in order to turn around to leave.

"No problem. Safe drive." He says with a sickening smile. Cassandra returns it before slowly turning away for the man and heading towards the exit. As she got to the door, she turns her head over her shoulder to sneak one last glance. She didn't like the feeling she got from him. The fact that he smelt like vervain, even though very discreetly, is what set her off though. Cassandra didn't know who she was and she didn't want to. She just wanted to get out of Mystic Falls before another problem fell into her life.

SLAMMING THE DOOR TO THE SALVATORE HOUSE, confused eyes land on Cassandra as she makes her way inside. She only has a smirk playing on her lips as she walks like she owned the place. It wasn't exactly a warm welcome as she was met with glares and looks of betrayal. Technically, they betrayed her dozens of times before, she just got her revenge. And it was damn sweet. Elena was the first to pipe up, feeling the most angry as she was staring at the woman who had killed her and involuntarily turned her into a vampire. But that wasn't Cassandra's intention. She didn't even know that Elena had vampire blood in her system, Cassandra was simply just trying to kill her.

A scowl forms on Elena's face as she stares at the woman who places a hand on her hips as she looks at them. "What is she doing here?" She asks with a squint of her eyes but none of them knew. They actually thought it was a bit weird for her to suddenly pay them a visit after what she did. Even more especially that Klaus was dead. They thought she would be gone.

"I saved your asses, you should be thanking me." Cassandra tells her as she gives a little smirk towards Elena who was shocked.

"You killed me!" Elena yells, taking a step forward bravely. Cassandra killed her and she expected a thank you? Elena sure as hell wasn't going to give her one, she wanted just jam a stake in her instead.

"Okay, you've been a vampire for two seconds. Don't start acting like you're stronger because you're still the weak little bitch you've always been." Cassandra says bluntly as she rolls her eyes, getting annoyed by the girl already. It had only been two seconds and Elena had figured out a way to piss her off.

"Cassandra, that's enough." Stefan tells the girl, a tired expression on his face. He just didn't want to deal with any of this anymore. Part of him wished he had never wanted to get Involved in the whole mess in the first place.

"It's your girlfriend who's acting all crazy." Cassandra mumbles as she rolls her eyes, staring back at Stefan who only sighs, rubbing his face as he didn't want to deal with any new drama right now.

"What do you want?" Damon asks with a sigh as he crosses his arms, not wanting to act like he cared around Elena. She had practically forced them to have no contact with Cassandra ever again but it couldn't stop the girl from coming to them.

"So hostile." Cassandra says with a pout, snorting as she shakes her head. Pressing her lips together, she walks towards the doppleganger who stands up straighter. "I don't get why you guys are acting like this is my fault. Elena started it when she gave Esther her blood. Nik and his siblings just did what they needed to do to survive." She defends the family who were like her own. Cassandra wasn't going to allow Elena to put all the blame onto the originals. Sure, Klaus had done the sacrifice but they hadn't really done anything to her when their mother was brought back. All Elena had to do was refuse Esther's plan and all would have been merry.

"And now Klaus is dead." Elena says smugly, smirking as she thinks of the dead original. She felt no remorse for the man. The only reason she was worried before is she thought Stefan and Damon were going to die.

"Not exactly." Cassandra replies to her, loving how they suddenly stand guard. Their eyes widen at her, not wanting to hear the words the came out of her mouth. "Why did you think you lot were still alive?" She asks curiously as she tilts her head at them.

"No." Damon grumbles, not wanting it to become a reality. Klaus could not be still alive because then they would have to deal with him again. All had been cherry when they thought he was dead and that he hadn't actually sired their bloodline.

"Yes." Cassandra replies as she giggled, taking a step closer to them. They weren't thrilled to say the least at hearing the news. "My dear fiance and I have a lot planned." She adds, none of them realizing the word she used to refer to the hybrid. Damon sighs, glancing down at the ground as he had a shimmer of relief inside of him. He was actually glad that Cassandra didn't end up losing Klaus because as much as he hated the original, it would've shattered her. And Damon still cared for her despite everything that he did. "Where's Alaric, isn't he usually around you Elena-- oh wait, I killed him." Cassandra decided to poke the hornets nest as she teasingly gasped, smirking evilly at Elena who saw red. Lunging at the girl, Cassandra simply steps back and allows Stefan to grab a hold of Elena to keep her back.

"You're evil!" She screams bloody murder as she tries her best to get at Cassandra but Stefan was still stronger than her. Well, everyone was stronger than her she just thought she was superior. "You are a manipulative, awful, murderous little whore!" Elena finishes as she finally stops trying to fight against Stefan who reluctantly let's her go. Cassandra laughs, her eyebrows raising at Elena as amusement fills her. It was hilarious how Elena thought she was getting anywhere with those insults.

"Ooh, Elena's got a tongue on her doesn't she?" Cassandra asks as she bites her tongue, glancing at the brothers with her natural smirk. "Settle down. Just because you're two boy toys wanted me isn't my fault." She says with a roll of her eyes, finally saying what she's been wanting to ever since the two had met. Elena always got on her nerves and she wasn't going to tolerate it anymore.

"You practically spread your legs to everyone. You're nothing special, and they want me not you." She tries to offend Cassandra who doesn't even let her words affect her in the slightest. She didn't think Elena's opinion was ever relevant so she usually just tuned it out.

"Oh, sweetie. I couldn't care less if they wanted me or not. I have my man. You on the other hand, if you don't stop acting like an entitled brat who thinks she's all that, you are in for a very rude awakening." Cassandra explains to the woman in a threatening tone, giving the girl a warning look. If Elena didn't stop while she was ahead, there would be no one left to defend her. Caroline was already out, Bonnie is on the verge and there was slight hesitation in Stefan, Cassandra could sense it.

"You probably forced them to have sex. It's not like you didn't compel them when they were human." Elena snaps, her face burning red in anger as she glared at the woman. There was no way they slept with Cassandra willingly, not after all she did to them. Elena couldn't get it through her thick skull that it was possible for Stefan and Damon to be attracted to someone other than her.

"You are so incredibly dimwitted that I don't even know how either of them fell for you." Cassandra admits as she shakes her head, her head physically hurting trying to understand Elena's logic. It's like she didn't have a single thought inside her head before she starts talking. "Face it Elena. Stefan wanted to fuck me just like Damon did so many times." She smirks at the sight of Elena's face dropping. There was no denying of Damon and Cassandra's friendship and because of how many times the man had brought it up, not caring of the doppleganger's feelings. "He didn't want your bland, basic sex anymore because you didn't even put his dick in your mouth." Stefan chokes on his drink, his eyes widening as he clears his throat. Elena gasps, not realizing that he actually talked to Cassandra about their relationship. She was hurt that he would do such a thing, allowing Cassandra to practically rub it in her face. "I'm pretty sure we had sex more times in one night than you did in your entire relationship." She states bluntly as she presses her lips together. Elena looked offended as she had her mouth hanging open, only staring at Cassandra who laughs humourlessly. "And he probably only lasted long with you because he wasn't horny enough to actually cum." Cassandra snorts as she puts a hand on her hip. Stefan coughs to try and stifle a laugh, turning away so Elena's stare wasn't burning into his head. "You're just jealous that you'll never live up to the standards I set for those two. They've been everywhere with me and you damn well know that they would gladly fuck me again if I was single because I can make them cum without even touching them." She says, leaning in close to the girl who was clearly getting angry at her words. Cassandra smirks, licking her bottom lip as she gives the brother's a look, fueling Elena's rage. Elena was even more furious that Damon and Stefan weren't even denying it, they weren't saying a damn thing. They were just allowing Cassandra to talk to her this way.

"Or you're just a fucking whore who can't keep her legs closed." Elena hissed as she crosses her arms, scoffing as she rolls her eyes. Cassandra was taken aback by her sudden statement. She knew Elena would not be nice during their argument but to say something so bluntly and contradicting to herself was what made her take a moment.

"Yeah, I've fucked a lot of people. Guys and girls. But I'm seven hundred years old. And please don't go slut shaming me when those two have fucked a lot of bitches too." Cassandra points to Stefan and Damon who awkwardly stand beside the two girls. She didn't understand how Elena could so blatantly try to slut shame her, knowing Stefan and Damon weren't too innocent either. She expected better from her, especially since in this society, women often got shamed for things that men get praised for. "Let me ask you something, Elena." She says slowly making Elena gulp as she knew it wasnt going to be good because of the way Cassandra was glaring at her. "How many times have you fucked Stefan, wishing it was Damon's dick instead." Cassandra questions, raising an eyebrow as a devilish grin spreads across her face. Elena turns bright red, her eyes widening as she stutters over what to say. She couldn't find the words though, not even wanting to look at either of the brother's as she was embarrassed. But that gave Cassandra an answer as, if she never thought of it, she would've immediately denied anything. "I thought so." She says with a smirk playing on her lips, loving the reaction she got out of Elena. Cassandra didn't want to say it infront of Stefan, feeling bad for the man but maybe it would make him realize that he deserved better than a girl who clearly didn't love him as much as she said she did.

"You had sex with both Klaus and Elijah--" Elena trys to point out but didn't even know where she was going with it. It didn't even correspond at all to their conversation. Cassandra wasn't surprised the doppleganger brought them up though since she never had one brain cell inside of her head.

"I'm gonna stop you right there." She snaps, not wanting to hear what Elena's excuse would be. How did her having sex with both of them relate in any way. There was never any infidelity in her relationship with Klaus and whoever she was with was her sole thought, no one else. "This is where you and I are different." Cassandra takes a step towards Elena, staring accusingly at the woman who gulps, her eyes moving to the ground for a split second. Cassandra wasn't going to allow her to compare them when they were nothing alike. "Yes, I loved both of them at once but I never led them on or played them into thinking they were going to get me. They both knew of my feelings, and they were both patient with me in figuring out what I wanted." Klaus and Elijah both knew of the risks, they both knew they might not end up with her but they still gave her time to think of what she really wanted. Cassandra was heartbroken when she had to tell Elijah she chose Klaus but she wasn't going to put him through any more unnecessary pain. Their time together meant a lot to her and she would cherish it forever, but Klaus was the one she truly wanted to be with. "Yeah, I may have fucked them both but that's when I was single. I had no obligation to either of them. I never once cheated on either and I never once thought of the other while I was with them." Cassandra explains herself as she knew that Elena has kissed Damon while technically still having an obligation to Stefan. Who knows what else she has done. Elena also played both of them because she knew they were wrapped around her little finger. She didn't truly care for either, she just loved the attention. And if she truly loved Stefan, she would have never made any attempt to get with Damon while he was gone. Cassandra wasn't with Klaus when she was with Elijah. She never attempted to get with him while in a relationship and that's what Elena didn't get. Cassandra never cheated with Elijah and when she was sleeping with them both, they knew of her feelings and she was single. So she could do what she wanted. "You're just a two timing bitch who makes everything about her and cries every fucking second." She sneers with a deadly glare set in her eyes. Elena only scoffs, shaking her head as she crosses her arms trying to act all tough. She just wanted the sympathy card from the Salvatore's by acting all sad but after not hearing them stand up for her, she knew she wasn't going to get it.

"I-i lost--" Elena starts to say, putting on tears as she glances back at Stefan and Damon who knew better than to interrupt Cassandra when she has had enough. They also didn't want to stop the girl, knowing that there were no lies being told.

"Your parents, Jenna. I know." Cassandra says bluntly as she rolls her eyes. Sure, Jenna was a loss for her too and didn't deserve to die. But there was grieving and using a person's death for your own gain. Elena didn't seem to know the difference apparently. "But guess what, I lost my mom when I was born. I never even got to meet her. My dad was a no good drunk who wanted nothing to do with me, letting his little minions do whatever they wanted with me. Abusing me for years until I got out. And guess what, the home I found stabbed me in the back and killed me. I lost my second family when I thought the love of my life was only lying about everything and during that time I lost more people than you can ever imagine. But do you see me crying every two seconds?" Cassandra asks as she raises an eyebrow at the girl who falters for a moment. The older vampire has lost more people than Elena, she never even got to have a true family and was abused mentally, physically and verbally for years. Cassandra didn't understand how Elena thinks she's the only person who has ever lost someone. Cassandra gets it. It does suck but Elena only uses it for sympathy and to get everyone to take pity on her. Reality check, after so long you just have to suck it up and get over it. That was Cassandra's thoughts anyways. "Do you see me flipping of my humanity? No, because I deal with it." She snaps at the girl who flinches a little bit but stands her ground. Elena was glaring at the woman in front of her, hating every word she was saying. But everyone but Elena knew it was the truth. She was just too self involved to see her flaws and how toxic she was as a person. "Now I suggest you get off your high horse before I knock your ass off." Cassandra finishes as she sees Elena practically seething. She hated how she got told off in front of Stefan and Damon who were both trying to hide their laughter. Cassandra smirks at the girl, tilting her head a little as she felt proud of herself for finally putting the girl in her place. Elena didn't get to say all these hypocritical things to her and not get reprimanded for it. The raven haired vampire glances at the Salvatore's before turning and walking out of the house, leaving silence in her spot. She was no longer going to take any bullshit from anyone. She finally has her life figured out. She was in control. And she sure as hell was not going to let anyone screw it up.
