CHAPTER NINETEEN
"If you don't, I will rip out your heart before you can even step out this door."

ONCE CASSANDRA WAS SURE THAT BOTH KLAUS AND ELIJAH WERE DISTRACTED, she used the key to unlock the door and sneak out without them realizing. Did they really think she was that desperate for them? She'd rather go to Silas before she went back to either of them. Sure she would have had sex with them if they gave in but she knew one of them would have their key on them. All she had to do was get close enough to them while providing a distraction.

It didn't mean that she wasn't completely worn out by the torture and taking Bonnie's expression. Her body was aching and she could feel the sweat cling to her skin as she tries to walk straight. Maybe she was just hungry since she was blood deprived as well. Her eyes land on the grill, a smirk forming as she walks over. Entering the bar, she could see just the right amount of people. Cassandra felt her face transform, her eyes darkening as she looked at all of the walking blood bags.

Speeding to one, she rips into their throat, draining their blood as she throws them to the ground. Letting the blood go down her throat, she moans satisfied with the taste before feeding on another. And then another. Cassandra didn't stop until every last person in that bar was dropped dead on the floor.

The expression inside of her was making her even more hungry than she was normally. Feeding on the last person, she hears someone walk into the grill. Cassandra was too consumed by blood to care about who it was. "Lovely turn out." Silas pipes up as he glances around at the dozen bodies scattered around the grill. Cassandra drops the final guy, her eyes moving to Silas as she snarls at him. Speeding at him, he only smashes her against the bar, holding her tight. "Don't be stupid Cassandra." He tells her as he looks at the blood dripping from her lips. Cassandra's face goes back to normal and that's when he saw the pale skin and sweat glistening on it. Silas would've thought she would be fine with how much blood she ingested but he knew something was wrong.

"Take it off." Cassandra tells him as she lifts up her wrist to show him the bracelet. She didn't know if it was that or the expression that was making her body feel she was dying. "I can't do it myself." She knew Silas was strong enough to take it off as Bonnie had made it so she couldnt take it off herself.

"A power dampening bracelet. Fancy." Silas says as he looks at it for a moment before letting Cassandra go.

"Silas, take it off." Cassandra demands as she glares at the man who simply smiles at her, leaning against the bar.

"Now, why would I do that?" He asks her as he crossed his arms against his chest. Cassandra scoffs as she faces him, wondering what the hell he was doing.

"You need me." Cassandra tells him but he only raises his eyebrows at her with a smirk on his face.

"Do I?" Cassandra only coughs, gripping onto the bar as she squeezes her eyes shut. Silas looks her over once before licking his bottom lip. "You don't look so good." He points out the obvious making her groan as she looks at him.

"I have expression in me, it's not exactly sitting easy." Cassandra admits as she groans, almost breaking the bar top as she feels something course through her

"Why do you have expression?" Silas asks confused as he takes an interest now to her current state.

"Not telling until you take this damn thing off." She says with a smirk, even negotiating when she was in pain because she knew it was the only way she could get him to take it off of her.

"How about you tell me and then I'll think about taking it off." Silas renegotiates as he raises his eyebrows at the girl. Cassandra glares at him but sighs.

"I took some of Bonnie's expression hoping it would help her control, obviously not." Cassandra mumbles as she grips her stomach, feeling the blood come back up. "It's poisoning me." She tells him but Silas only stares at her for a little while longer, squinting his eyes.

"She channeling you." He corrects as he clenches his jaw a little bit, wanting to know why bonnie felt the need and why she was doing magic in the first place. "Why?" Silas asks as he grabs her arm, bringing her close to him as he looks into her eyes.

"I don't know." She tells him as she rips her arm from his grasp but he only grabs her throat instead.

"Yes, you do. You may not have been told but in your mind you know." Silas says as he grips her throat making her nod her head. He lets her go, looking at her expectantly.

"She's using the expression triangle. Linking them." Cassandra states making Silas glare at her as he moves closer.

"Why." Silas wanted to know why bonnie was connecting the triangle without him.

"I don't know. I swear." Cassandra says as she gasps, coughing as blood spits out of her mouth. "Now take it off." She looks at Silas who does what she wants, dropping the bracelet to the ground. Cassandra could feel her magic course through her veins, making her feel better as it was acting as a virus towards the expression magic. "What do you want from me, why do you need my power." Cassandra asks as she regains her strength.

"When Bonnie drops the veil, I need you to kill Qetsiyah." Silas tells her making Cassandra only stare at him, Qetsiyah was already dead the best she could do was snap her neck.

"She's already dead." Cassandra points out the obvious as she pours herself a drink, feeling thirsty even though she just killed the whole grill.

"Yes. But I need you to wipe her from existence. She'll try to stop me and I can't have that." Silas states making Cassandra choke a little on her drink. Did he think her trying to kill a witch that old would be easy?

"And if I don't." She challenges as she stares at the man who only stares back before he throws the glass in her hand across the room and grips her throat tightly.

"If you don't, I will rip out your heart before you even step out this door." He threatens as he leans in close before letting her go. Cassandra rubs her neck before jumping onto the bar, swinging her legs.

"What if I can't?" Cassandra asks making Silas slide her over in front of him, his hands resting on her thighs.

"Then you kill Bonnie." Silas tells her making Cassandra furrow her eyebrows.

"Don't you need her?" Wasn't the whole plan depended on Bonnie being alive?

"Once the veil is dropped, she serves no use. Now, Qetsiyah can harness her energy to take you on but if Bonnie is dead..." Silas trails off as he raises an eyebrow at the girl who only shakes her head.

"I'm not gonna kill her." Cassandra shocked herself when she said this, seeing Silas glare lightly at her.

"Is that emotion I hear?" He asks with a scoff as he looks deeply into her eyes.

"Nathan opened a door inside of me and now I can't get it shut again, all these emotions are spilling out." Cassandra admits with a groan as she glared at nothing in particular.

"We can't have that can we." Silas mumbles to himself before grabbing her head. "Shut the door. Bolt it shut, I don't care. We don't need your emotions getting in the way." He tells her and Cassandra only looks at him before closing her eyes for a moment. She reopens them, Silas glancing to them for a moment. "Great. Now listen to me. If you don't succeed in killing Qetsiyah then you kill Bonnie and you won't stop until she's dead or you are." He says before tapping her cheek and finishing his drink. "You hid from me. I didn't like that." Silas admits as he watches her unzip the sweater that she had on, his eyes scanning over her.

"Aww, did you miss me?" Cassandra taunts him as she grips his shirt, pulling him closer to her.

"On the contrary." Silas says as he leans closer to her. Cassandra could feel his breath on her as she stares back at him. "Do not hide from me again, do you understand?" He asks as she only rolls her eyes at him. It wasn't like she was liking her little side quest away from him anyways.

"Well, I couldn't exactly help it. I don't know if you can see, but I was being tortured not having a vacation." Cassandra states as she shows off the many marks scattering her skin. Silas chuckles lightly under his breath.

"I see." He tells her as he moves his hand over some of the wounds. "That must've hurt." Pressing down slightly, Cassandra only stares at him.

"On the contrary." She replies making him look up into her eyes. Cassandra bites her bottom lip as she feels his hand go back to her thighs before roughly jolting her forward against him, his lips going to her ear.

"Go find Bonnie." Silas says making Cassandra clench her jaw lightly.

"If she drops the veil on the full moon, there's gonna be more than Qetsiyah I'll have to fight." Cassandra points out but it didnt seem that Silas cared much about it. Brushing her hair behind her ear, he only strokes her cheek.

"You can handle it." He responds, wanting her to leave by now but she just kept having to ask questions.

"How do you know she will even show her face?" Cassandra was more trying to get more information before having to go fight Qetsiyah or Bonnie who was consumed with expression

"I don't. So if she doesn't, you kill bonnie once the veil is dropped completely." He states making Cassandra get off of the counter with a sigh.

"I don't get how killing Bonnie stops anything." She admits as she crossed her arms against her chest.

"Qetsiyah is using her for some of her power, without her she's weak and I'll be able to take the cure before she tries to stop me."

IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG TO FIGURE OUT THAT SHE HAD SOMEONE ON HER TAIL. It didn't take her long to realize where Bonnie was, in order to harness the energy of the expression triangle she had to be at the center of it. That's where she was heading before she realized that their was a presence following her the whole way. Cassandra only stops in her step, her eyes squinting as she feels them get closer to her.

"Are you following me?" She asks before turning around and raising an eyebrow, setting her eyes on Klaus and Elijah who were both semi-stunned that she knew they were there.

"Where are you going?" Klaus asks as he sees her smirk a little bit, shaking her head. They couldn't get information out of her before, why did they think she would tell them by just asking.

"Why would I tell you?" Cassandra questions as she takes a couple steps closer to them. Elijah was a little cautious, making sure he was analyzing her to see if she was going to make a move. She may be strong right now but she couldn't take both of them.

"Because you want to stop Silas too." He tells her making her squint her eyes a little. She did was to stop Silas but she also wanted to keep her heart so she wasn't just to going to betray him for them. All of a sudden all of the lights around them spark out, the world going dark as a wind picks up around them. Elijah and Klaus glance around wondering if it was Cassandra who did it.

"What's happening?" Klaus asks as he feels the heavy wind push against him. Cassandra only laughs, looking around them as she shakes her head. The little bitch actually did it.

"She did it. She dropped the veil." Cassandra announces toward them making Klaus and Elijah glance at each other. She notices this, knowing they were worried since there was still a white oak stake somewhere. "I'd watch your back." She tells them, backing up a little bit as she was about to vamp speed away from them.

"I'd watch yours." A new voice interjects making her furrow her eyebrows but turn around, only to see a face that she hadn't in centuries. "Remember me, Cassandra?" She asks as she glared at the woman who only stares blankly back at her. Cassandra knew who it was, it wasn't like she would forget. Hannah James. They had met back in 1506, a little over a decade from running from Klaus. They had been friends and Cassandra had told her that she was in trouble with multiple people and Hannah immediately wanted to help her. She was a witch so it made Cassandra skeptical at first but she knew Hannah wouldn't betray her. "You made me protect you from you dad's minions and then you ripped my heart out of my chest." She snaps at the girl who only shrugs her shoulders. They had known each other for a year before her dad's minions found her. A couple of them were questioning Hannah but she killed them using her magic thinking she was helping Cassandra until she felt her heart get ripped from her chest.

"You were a loose end." Cassandra says in monotone voice as she knew it was the only way she could be invisible. She didn't need Hannah opening her mouth to anyone accidentally. "You're dead, every witch dies. Move on." She tells the girl before turning away from her and beginning to walk off.

"So will you." Hannah mutters before putting an aneurysm in her brain making Cassandra grip it, screaming in pain lightly as she drops to the ground. "I'm going to make you feel the same pain that I did." She sneers at the girl, increasing her magic but Cassandra only laughs. She lets go of her head, feeling her magic heal whatever Hannah was doing to her.

"I don't think so." She says as she stands up, turning to face the girl again who was in pure shock as she backs up a little bit, dropping her hand. Cassandra's face transforms before she speeds over and snaps the girls neck. Hannah falls to the ground with a thud. Cassandra knew she would come back but she could deal with her.

"Who was that?" Elijah pipes up from behind her, he was shocked to know that she had enemies that did not stem off of klaus. At least ones that he did not know about.

"No one. She's dead." Cassandra replies bluntly, turning to them as she sighs. "Now, if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go." She says as she points behind her but she just watches them exchange a look. "You can't exactly stop me." She scoffs as she knew they didn't think she was as powerful as she says she was.

"No, but I can." A voice adds behind her making her roll her eyes a little bit. Would people leave her alone? It's not until the voice finally hits her that she turns around to face the man.

"Kol?" Cassandra asks, raising her eyebrows at the man. She didn't get another word out before Kol quickly snapped her neck. Cassandra falls to the ground and Kol takes a step forward, smirking down at her.

"Now we can have some fun." He tells her as he runs his eyes over her for a second before glancing up and noticing that Elijah and Klaus were both staring at him in shock. Kol only lets out a happy sigh before laughing and tilting his head while looking at them. "Hello brothers."

β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’

KOL WAS TAPPING THE GIRL'S CHEEK, seeing her nose finally scrunch up as she lets out a light groan. Kol smiles victoriously before standing back and letting the girl come back to reality. Cassandra lifts her head up, hitting the wood behind it as her eyes tiredly land on Kol. "Ah, look who's awake." Kol announces making Klaus and Elijah move their eyes to the girl in the chair. Cassandra only tugs her hands against the ropes, inwardly groaning at the thought of yet again being in this situation. "I'm dead for all of two seconds and you flip the switch and let some darkness take over you." He says as he shakes his head, leaning on the chair arms as he stares at the woman he barely recognized in front of him. Cassandra laughs in his face, shaking her head.

"If you think I did this because you died, I didn't." Cassandra admits to him before leaning closer, her eyes filled with slight anger. "I could care less that you're dead." She sneers at him but Kol didn't take that to heart, only standing back up, tsking his tongue.

"Now, I don't think that's true." Kol replies as he walks over one of the coat racks and stares at it for a moment before breaking it in order to get a piece of wood.

"What? You thought that coming back was going to magically make me feel again? You're delusional." She tells him as she rests her head against the wood, staring at all of three of them.

"Am I?" He asks as he flips the wood around in his hands, noticing Cassandra's eyes move towards it. "You see while you were asleep I looked into your head. I see that door, barely cracking open but it's open" he explains as she clenches her jaw, her hands wrapping around the chair arms. "All I have to do is trigger you to open it completely." Kol says as he grips the wood in his hands, stalking closer to her but she only smirks at him.

"Go ahead, Kol." Cassandra tells him as she didn't let him know what she was feeling. "You have what? An hour here?" She scoffs as she shrugs her shoulders. "Bonnie's not going to keep the veil dropped. She doesn't want to help Silas." She states as Kol raises his eyebrows at her before pointing the piece of wood at the girl.

"But you're helping Silas aren't you? Isn't that why you were heading off to find Qetsiyah." Kol asks making Cassandra roll her eyes. He did realize that he was signing her death warrant if he didn't let her go because Silas would see that he didn't need her anymore.

"Let me go, Kol." Cassandra says as she stares into his eyes. Kol only sighs as he shakes his head.

"No can do, love." Kol replies as he leans closer with every word. "You see, I need to make you feel. As you said I only have a limited time here." He tells her as Cassandra glances at her hands, burning the rope discreetly before looking back at Kol. "Feel pain, anger, sadness, fear.. I just need you to feel one." He admits as he smirks at her. Cassandra only tilts her head at him, laughing lightly. Ripping her hands out of the ropes, she takes the wood he had in his hand and stabs it into Kol's stomach before using her magic to throw him across the room, smashing him into the glass mirror. Elijah and Klaus look over at the chair but notice she's gone.

"Anger it is." Kol grunts out as he lifts the wood out of his stomach, letting it fall onto the ground. He sighs as he lets his head rest against the ground, he knew they could get her humanity back, she just had to pushed by the right person.

BONNIE SMIRKS AT SILAS WHO WAS IN THE FORM OF ALARIC AS DAMON HELD HIM BACK, allowing Bonnie to complete the spell that she had been told by her grams to perform. Silas grunts as he fights against Damon but the man only keeps him still.

"I may not be able to kill you, but I will stop you." Bonnie tells him, Silas glaring back at her. She closes her eyes, concentrating before she senses that someone else was there. Opening her eyes, she meets the eyes of the Harrington girl, her eyebrows furrowing.Β  "Cassandra, what the hell are you doing here?" She asks but instead of an answer, Cassandra only charges over and sinks her fangs into the girls neck. Bonnie screams as she tries to fight against the girl.

"Cassandra!" Damon yells at her as he wasn't able to do anything in order to not let Silas go who was now laughing, a smirk on his lips. Cassandra pulls back from her, her dark vampire eyes meeting Bonnie's fearful ones. Blood dripped down her chin as cassandra stares at the wound she left.

"Cassandra stop!" Bonnie pleads as she grabs a hold of the girls hand. Cassandra only laughs darkly as she shakes her head.

"I can't, Bonnie." She admits and Bonnie knew that it was actually the truth. She couldn't stop because Silas compelled her. It didn't take a genius to figure out that Silas had practically taken her free will.

"You can fight it." Bonnie says as Cassandra rolls her eyes, grabbing the girl once again somehow blocking Bonnie from doing her magic. "Fight it!" She screams, her voice laced with fear and pain. Cassandra stops for a moment, looking into her eyes as she could see the girl silently pleading for her life. The girl glares at the witch, her grip tightening. Bonnie only keeps her hand in the girls as she squeezes it shaking her head. Cassandra squeezes her eyes shut for a moment, groaning as she tries to pull her hand away. Bonnie only continues to stare at her, tears falling down her cheek. Cassandra suddenly looks beside of them, seeing the stake beside the girl. Snapping out of her thoughts she grabs it before speeding against the wall and stabbing it into her stomach making a groan leave her lips. Bonnie gasps, glad that she was finally let go.

"Do it! I can't hold back for long." Cassandra says as she feels her body try to fight the compulsion but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Bonnie stands back up, her eyes flickering back to Silas who had a glare set in his eyes.

"I will make the blood clot In your veins. I will make every bone, muscle, and joint in your body turn to stone. You won't have power of us anymore." Bonnie casts the spell making Silas groan in pain as he feels his body start to solidify. Damon lets him go, watching the man try to walk away from them.

"What is happening?" He asks as he notices Silas forming against the wall, his hand lifting up slowly to cover his face.

"He can't hide behind his mind control anymore, he's becoming his true self." Bonnie tells him, noticing Elijah and Klaus and run in, noticing Cassandra against the wall with a stake in her stomach. Their eyes flicker over to Silas who had completely turned to stone.

"Who exactly might his true self be?" Damon asks as he couldn't see through the man's stone hand. Bonnie raises her eyebrows with a shrug.

"I guess we'll never know." She admits to them before turning around to look at cassandra who pulls the stake from her stomach with a grunt.

"Easy, love." Klaus tells her, his eyebrows furrowing as he was wondering if she had felt something if she had stopped herself from whatever she planned to do down here.

"You did it, Cassandra. You fought against his mind control." Bonnie says with a smile as she bends down next to her. Cassandra only glared at her, scoffing a little bit.

"Yeah, so you could kill him." Cassandra sneers back but Bonnie only squints her eyes, shaking her head at the girls cold tone.

"No, I think for even just a split second. You cared about me. You didn't want to kill me." Bonnie says as she lets her hand rest on the girl's knee. Cassandra glares at her before looking towards the ground. "Just let it in, why are you fighting it so much?" She asks, wondering why the girl didn't want to let her emotion in so badly. Cassandra snaps her eyes back to the her before grabbing her head and closing her eyes. Bonnie screams out in pain, feeling Cassandra sending magic into it. Damon rushes over, pulling Cassandra off of her before the girl suddenly disappears and Bonnie is left cradling her head.

"What happened? Bonnie?" He asks as he leans down, taking the girls face in her hands. Bonnie had tears running down her cheeks.

"She showed me why she can't turn it on. She wont." Bonnie says, her voice cracking as she stares back at Damon. He only furrows his eyebrows as he looks at the girl.

"Why?" He asks, wondering what the reason was. Bonnie only slowly moves her eyes to Klaus for a moment who was also waiting for the answer. She only lets a small smile creep onto her lips because even if the girl was emotionless, they could use what she told her against her.

"She's pregnant."
