"No matter how heartless you portray to be, I'm still your best friend. You can't kill me"

CASSANDRA BEGRUDGINGLY WALKS INTO HER APARTMENT, Silas glancing over at her with an amused expression as he saw blood splattered over her body. She only glares at him as she sits down next to him.
"What happened to you?" He asks with a laugh as he stares at the girl.
"Caroline and Stefan happened." She says making Cassandra rub her face, seeing Silas stare her for a second before moving on.
"Bonnie is doing the sacrifice tonight." Silas informs her as she only stares at him, not really getting her point in it.
"Good." Cassandra states as she wipes the blood off her hands with a cloth. "So the next step is the cure." She says as she knows exactly where to find it as she had been texting Katherine.
"I need you to make sure everything goes right tonight." Silas says as he leans towards her making her roll her eyes.
"Fine." She says with a sigh as she shakes her head. "Klaus is making sure nothing happens. I made a deal. You can't harm him or anyone who he wants to protect." Cassandra explains to him making his face drop as he glares lightly at her.
"Why would you do that?" Silas asks as he clenches his fists together.
"Because. I know for a fact that he isn't going to let Bonnie do the sacrifice." Cassandra says as she shrugs her shoulders. There was no way Klaus was actually going to allow the other side to come down. He had too many enemies over there.
"Do you have a lead on the cure?" Silas asks as he raises an eyebrow at her.
"I practically have it." Cassandra smirks at him making him glance at her curiously but she just stands up, walking to the bathroom and leaving Silas to ponder that thought.

KLAUS STARED BACK AT SILAS AS HE CHUCKLED A LITTLE BIT. Of course he had showed up when he was in the woods burying the twelve dead witches. He had tried to stop the sacrifice but stupidly Caroline had killed them to save Bonnie's life. He didn't know what Silas wanted, probably asking about Cassandra, or gloating. "Silas, I presume." Klaus says making him smirk a little bit as he takes a step forward.
"I need you to find the cure." Silas tells him making Klaus laugh as he pats his jacket and pants pockets.
"Sorry, mate. Don't have it." He answers making Silas fake smile at him as he raises his eyebrows at the man.
"But you know who does." Silas states making Klaus scoff as he rolls his eyes a little bit not knowing why he was coming to ask him.
"So does Cassandra." Klaus points out the obvious as he drops the shovel to the ground. Silas only bites the inside of his cheek.
"She won't tell me. Said she's handling it." He replies making Klaus laugh a little bit, shrugging his shoulders finding it amusing how he couldn't even control Cassandra.
"Then let her handle it." Klaus tells him but Silas only smirks at him, taking another step closer.
"I know you care for her." Silas says, catching klaus's attention as he clenches his jaw. "And the last thing that you want is for that cure is that cure to be used on you so you bring it to me. Then it won't be. You get to live. Because you see.." he trails off a little bit, rubbing his lips as he meets the hybrids eyes. "Cassandra is going to want to double cross me. Steal the cure for herself. Only she can't take it. Who do you think she's going to use it on?" Silas asks the man who only glares at the immortal before shaking his head, going back to his question.
"Yeah, with all of my dad's supernatural enemies from the other side. You know, you don't scare me Silas. Or Shane. Whoever you are. And why work with Cassandra if you know she'll betray you?" Klaus asks, crossing his arms taking a couple steps forward.
"Because, she has the power I need. And it's better to be her friend than her enemy." Silas answers him keeping his cool composure but Klaus sees right through it.
"I get it. You're scared." Klaus points out with a smirk playing on his lips but Silas isn't faltered by his statement.
"I'm keeping her on a leash. Do you want me to let her loose, she'll be glad to come kill you... Rebekah... Caroline.. well, oops she already almost did last night." Silas says with a chuckle as he remembers that Cassandra had tried to kill Caroline but failed.
"You don't scare me." Klaus says after a moment making Silas nod his head.
"No, but I think I know what does." Silas tells him before bringing out the white oak stake, Klaus tensing up as he stares at it.
"Now, where did you get that." He asks as he glares at the man in front of him.
"Let's just say your sisters mind is a little easier to read than yours. So, care to reconsider my offer?" He asks but Klaus only speeds towards him causing Silas to disappear. Klaus glares at the empty air before feeling something go through his back making him scream out in agony. "Missed by an inch but don't worry I'm not trying to kill you, not yet. Just enough to remember me by." Silas says as he breaks off a piece inside of him causing Klaus to groan, holding onto the ground. "I'll be in touch." And with that Silas had left Klaus in a sea of agony.
β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’
CASSANDRA WAS ABOUT TO HEAD OUT TO SEE KATHERINE BUT WOULD NOT STOP GETTING TEXTS AND CALLS FROM KLAUS. Needing her phone to contact Katherine, she decided to stop by quickly to see what he was so eager about. Walking in, she rolls her eyes as she enters the room where Klaus was hunched over the table.
"What?" She snaps annoyed, staring at the man but her eyes adjust to what she was seeing. His body was covered in sweat and there was a bloody hole in his back causing her to laugh lightly. "What happened to you?" Cassandra asks as she crossed her arms against her chest, smirking at the man in clear pain.
"Your buddy Silas happened. He stabbed me with the white oak stake, part of it is still in me." Klaus explains to her as he gestures towards his back. Cassandra only stares at him, wondering what she had to do with it.
"That sucks. I have plans." She tells him with a fake smile, turning around to leave as the cure was much more important than him.
"Cassandra!" Klaus yells out making her stop and sigh, turning around and giving him a raised eyebrow.
"You broke our deal and expect me to now help you?" Cassandra asks as she scoffs, shaking her head as she wasn't about to allow him to use her yet again. Klaus only grabs onto the table, using it to stand up.
"Please." He says but Cassandra wasn't budging. "Silas knows you don't trust him. He doesn't trust you either." Klaus says, knowing that if he gave her information, she would help him.
"What is your point?" Cassandra asks with a sigh, it not being news that Silas didn't exactly trust her.
"Silas said he needs your power." Klaus adds making Cassandra furrow her eyebrows a little bit.
"Why?" She asks as she walks closer to him making him shake his head.
"I don't know." Klaus admits making her deflate and go back to walking towards the door. "He's using you." He says, not wanting her to fall into his trap even if she was emotionless.
"That's obvious." Cassandra replies as she shrugs her shoulders.
"Cassandra, please. I told you everything I know. Help me get it out." Klaus pleads as she could see the true pain on his face. Cassandra groans before walking over to him, standing behind him as she pushes him.
"Lean over." She tells Klaus who does what she says, leaning over the table. Cassandra grabs a set of pliers from the drawer and walks back over, opening his wound and beginning to search for the piece of the stake. Klaus groans as he could tell she wasn't being gentle with it. "Oh, my god." She gasps a little bit making him glance over his shoulder at her.
"What?" Klaus asks her, wondering if she found the white oak stake.
"You do have a heart." She teases him with a smirk making him roll his eyes before she pulls at something inside of him making him let out an agonizing groan. "Oh, no. Just a bloody rib." She corrects with a laugh before she continues to search but couldn't find anything.
"Stop playing games and get it out of me." Klaus snaps at her but she only puts the pliers down on the table, turning him roughly towards her.
"I don't see anything." Cassandra admits making Klaus grab at his back, still feeling it scraping against his heart.
"It's in there." He replied, shaking his head making Cassandra groan as she leans her head back.
"It's not. Now, can I leave?" She asks with a raise of her eyebrows making him scoff as he turns away from her.
"Fine, walk away. I know you don't feel anything right now Cassandra but when that switch flips, you are not going to be able to handle everything that you've done." Klaus tells her making cassandra laugh a little bit as she crossed her arms.
"Well it's a good thing I'm never turning it back on." Cassandra states as she begins to walk towards the door, Klaus was getting beyond angry.
"Don't turn your back on me!" He screams at her making her stop before speeding over to him and wrapping her hand around his throat. If she had the stake, she would gladly drive it through his heart.
"Just because I came here, does not mean we have a truce." She snaps at him, before sending him back into the table. Klaus suddenly feels nothing, no pain, no stake making him glance at her.
"It's gone." Klaus tells her making her glance at him curiously. "Silas, he was in my head." He says as he leans towards her, placing his hands on her head. Cassandra stares at him, lifting her hand up to his cheek.
"Nik." She says softly, making him lean his forehead against hers. Cassandra suddenly smashed his head into the table causing his neck to snap. She drops him to the floor, looking down on him. "That was for breaking our deal."
β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’
AFTER LEAVING AN UNCONSCIOUS KLAUS, Cassandra made her way to the little town that Katherine had decided to settle down in which she didn't really understand. Klaus was not gonna kill her, at least when everything before the cure happened. I'm guessing he was pissed that she stole the cure so she had to run again but Cassandra didn't understand why the girl was so stupid in the first place. Katherine knew that Klaus would end up killing her sooner or later anyways, even before the cure. So she needed him to finally admit that she was free.
Walking into the diner, she notices Katherine was already accompanied by Rebekah and the Salvatore's making her sigh but walk over to them nonetheless.
"Gentlemen, ladies." She says making them look over at her surprised, well everyone except for Katherine.
"Cassandra. What the bloody hell are you doing here?" Rebekah asks as she stares at the girl who only gives her a fake smile before her eyes shift around the table.
"For the same reason as you I reckon." Cassandra says before looking at Damon and gesturing for him to scoot over. Damon rolls his eyes but moves over making Stefan have to as well. She notices their eyes on her hands which were stained red. "Oh, guess I forgot to wash my hands." She tells them as she shrugs her shoulders, looking at them.
"Who'd you kill?" Katherine asks with a smirk as she raises an eyebrow at the girl but Cassandra only shakes her head.
"I didn't." Cassandra says noticing Katherine was giving her a curious look. "Long story, Kat." She tells her not exactly wanting to get into it right now.
"So, everyone here wants something that I have." Katherine says changing the subject as she leans back, crossing her arms with a smirk on her face. "This is fun." She adds making everyone roll their eyes. Cassandra drifts her eyes over to Stefan who had already been staring at her.
"Stefan." She says bluntly, squinting her eyes at him making Stefan clear his throat.
"Cassandra." He replied, surprised he hadn't lost his heart the minute she walked in.
"Pull that little stunt again, and you won't get away so easily." She snaps at him making him move his eyes to the table. Damon glances at them confused at what had happened.
"So, let me get this straight. I tell you where Elena is, you shove the cure down her throat and then I end up in a box, right?" Rebekah decided to pipe up as her eyebrows raise, flickering her eyes around everyone.
"And so what? We give Cassandra the cure and you let Silas turn the world into the walking dead? Not gonna happen either." Damon states as he knew Cassandra was going to say something about it. Cassandra only stares at him for a moment.
"Don't underestimate me Damon." Cassandra warns him but Damon only leans closer to her, a smirk forming on his lips.
"Oh, I'm not." He tells her with a tight smile before looking over at Katherine who was smirking to herself. "What about you over there, smiley. Do you know where she is?" Damon asks about Elena but Katherine only raises an eyebrow at him
"I can give you a hint. Start by looking at the town morgue. She's probably dead." Katherine tells them making everyone look at her confused. She rolls her eyes, leaning on the table. "She went to go meet up with a friend of mine. You may know him. An original brother, impeccable taste." She states with a smirk as anyone with a brain could put together who she was talking about.
"Elijah?" Rebekah asks confused, not understanding why his brother would even trust her again.
"Elijahs here?" Damon asks with a scoff as he looks at Katherine but Stefan only raises his eyebrows.
"Well, you sort of have to question Elijah's impeccable taste if he's friends with you." Stefan states making Katherine only smirk at him as she licks her bottom lip.
"When I say friend... I mean friend." She corrects herself causing everyone grimace and make disgusted noises. Cassandra only raises an eyebrow, laughing at the girl.
"Elijah actually went for you? Are you sure he's just not using you as a rebound." She mumbles, staring at the girl who was slightly taken aback by the girl.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You told me to go for it." Katherine points out, just doing what she said but it seemed Cassandra didn't seem to care for her happiness.
"She's an emotionless, power hungry, witch-vamp right now." Damon sums it up for Katherine who clenches her jaw, her eyes flickering back to Cassandra who only stares at her.
"That explains it." She mutters before picking at her nails.
"Wheres Elena?" Stefan asks as he leans on the table but both girls stay silent. "Rebekah you know if Elena's dead, there's no chance for you to get the cure, right?" He points out making her clench her jaw.
"Fine. They went to the gazebo by the park." She spits out, sighing to herself as Katherine rubs her face.
"Great, I'll go talk to Elijah." Stefan announces as he stands up from the table
"You do that Katherine here will take us to the cure." Rebekah says making Katherine raise her eyebrows.
"No she won't." Katherine scoffs as she stares at them. "The cure is my one chance to actually bargain my freedom with Klaus. Since little miss here obviously isn't his anger coach anymore." She says as she glares at cassandra who only shrugs her shoulders.
"You're gonna broker a deal with Klaus?" Damon asks, confused on why she would even try to get near Klaus if she was telling the truth.
"No, she's going to get Elijah to broker the deal for her. Is that why you need your little friend?" Stefan asks her making Katherine bite the inside of her cheek. "Some thing's never change." He mutters towards her making her glance down at the table. Cassandra takes this time to disappear, needing to find Elijah first.
Unluckily he wasn't where Rebekah said but it didn't take long to find him as he was only two minutes away. Appearing behind him, she smirks as she looks him up and down. "Elijah." She calls out towards him making him tense before turning around to look at her.
"Cassandra." He replies softly as his eyes run over her features, wondering why she was here.
"Wheres Elena?" She asks as she looks around, not seeing the doppleganger anywhere.
"She'll be back in a minute." Elijah answers her before he takes a step closer to her. "What are you doing here?" He asks as he raises an eyebrow at her.
"What are you doing?" She asks in the same tone as him before smirking at him. "Oh, well. Except from shacking up with Katherine." Cassandra says, licking her bottom lip as Elijah only stares at her. "Never thought you'd go for it. Given Klaus wants her dead." She points out making Elijah glance away for a second before meeting her eyes once more.
"What do you want, Cassandra." Elijah asks again, walking towards her, making Cassandra tilt her head.
"Tell me where the cure is." She says, her eyes staring into his. Elijah only looks at her amused as he shakes his head.
"And why would I do that?" He questions, licking his lips as he watches the girls expressions.
"Because we can make a deal instead of you just being used." Cassandra points out, catching Elijah a little of guard but he only chuckles lightly. "You don't think she actually loves you, do you? She's using you to get her freedom." She tells him as she leans in closer towards him. "Why do you think she even told you she had the cure?" Cassandra asks him making him smile lightly as he looks away from her.
"You can't get under my skin, cassandra." Elijah tells her, knowing what she was trying to but that doesn't gaze the girl in the slightest.
"Oh, really?" Cassandra asks with a smile as she raises her eyebrows. "What did Katherine promise you, in return for her giving you the cure? Did she say you'll live happily ever after? She's Katherine Pierce, she's a manipulator." She explains to him making Elijah clench his jaw, looking towards the ground. She walks over to him, tilting her head as she lifts her hand toward his cheek. "Tell me where the cure is." Cassandra says as she looks into his eyes, purple mist appearing in them.
"I don't know where it is." Elijah answers honestly making Cassandra groan as she rolls her eyes.
"You're just shy of useless." She mutters, lifting her hands to his neck but she was suddenly sped towards the wall, his hand around her throat and his arm making sure she can't lift her hands.
"You may be able to play games and kill your little friends but you forget that I am stronger than you." Elijah says as he tightens his grip around her making her gasp. "Now, turn your humanity back on or so help me Cassandra I will make you." He threatens her, glaring at the girl who only fights against his hold.
"Elijah." She tries to say but he only keeps his eyes set on her, not budging. "E-elijah please, you're hurting me." Cassandra says, tears forming in her eyes. Elijah softens, his hand loosening. Cassandra looks at him before her face going blank again, smirking at him as she breaks his arm and twists it behind his back, pushing him to the ground. "You're so pathetic." She scoffs as she goes to grab him but Katherine pulls her up and holds her against her, her arm wrapping around her neck.
"Hands off." Katherine threatens the girl who only clenches her jaw. "Now, you're gonna tell us what the hell you want with the cure." She says as she sees Elijah stand up, grimaces as he fixed his arm.
"You know I can kill you with the snap of my fingers, right?" Cassandra snaps at the girl, fighting against her. Katherine only rolls her eyes as she tightens her arm around her. Elijah saw Cassandra getting loose so he speeds over, taking Cassandra into his grasp and holding her tightly, Katherine taking a stake and pressing it to her heart.
"What do you want?" Katherine asks again as she raises an eyebrow at her. Cassandra rolls her eyes as she looks at her.
"I was going to make a deal with Silas. He wants it, I want his power. It's a win-win." She tells them, sighing as this wasn't exactly what she was hoping to gain.
"You're gonna let a supernatural purgatory roam around just so you can gain a little power?" Katherine snaps, glaring at the girl as she couldn't believe that she was so weak to let that mark take over.
"I don't care. I'd be unstoppable." Cassandra replies bluntly making Katherine shake her head.
"Or I can just end this right now." She replies as she pressed the stake into her a little bit but Cassandra didn't even blink.
"You can't. You don't have it in you." Cassandra says making Katherine falter a little bit. "No matter how heartless you portray to be, I'm still your best friend. You can't kill me." She says, laughing as she saw the obvious emotion on her face confirming her theory.
"No, she can't." Another voice says causing all of them to look only to see Damon. "But I can." He says as he walks over to them, taking the stake from Katherine and staring at Cassandra. "I made a promise." He says softly and she knew exactly what he was talking about. Her eyes widen as she sees him lift the stake, not even hesitating one bit.
"Wait!" She screams out, fighting against Elijah's grasp. Damon smirks a little before lowering the stake.
"You have two seconds to tell me where Silas is." He tells her making Cassandra sigh as she shakes her head.
"It won't matter Damon, you can't beat him." Cassandra points out as he was impossible to kill without the cure to make him human.
"Which is why you're gonna help me." Damon says as he points the stake at her but she only shakes her head.
"I can't do that. I'll kill all of you." Cassandra says making Damon roll his eyes. "He can control me, Damon!" She screams, getting his attention as he didn't seem to be listening to her. Elijah loosens his grip on her, finally letting her go. "If I try to kill him, and fail. He can tell me to kill all of you and I'll do it." Cassandra tells them but Damon wasn't believing it. She was so powerful and yet Silas could control her.
"You're lying." Damon scoffs as he rolls his eyes but Cassandra only pushes his chest.
"Why do you think my humanity is off, huh?" She asks making his face fall as he glances at Elijah and Katherine. "Why I let the power in? Just like I controlled Stefan and Caroline, he can do it to me." She explains as she steps towards him. Damon only stares at her. Flashing her to the wall, he presses the stake against her chest.
"Listen up." Damon says making her glare at him. "You're gonna help us take Silas down. If you don't, I will drive this stake right through your heart and not look back." He threatens as he presses it lightly through her chest causing her to groan.
"He'll kill me." Cassandra says, her voice cracking as she could feel the stake inside of her.
"Why do you think he friended you? He's scared, Cassandra. He won't touch you." Damon scoffs making her clench her jaw as she groans, letting her head hit the wall.
"Fine." She says loudly, pushing him away from her as she glared at him. "Did you really have to stab me a million times?" Cassandra grumbles as she rolls her eyes but Damon only shrugs his shoulders.
"That was for Jeremy." Damon states making her sigh, rolling her head back. "And Caroline." He adds making cassandra shrug her shoulders. Making eye contact with Elijah, he only shakes his head as he looks away from her. She clicks her tongue before looking at them with her arms crossed.
"What's your plan?"
