After the death of Klaus, Cassandra Harrington didn't feel like her life could get any worse. She had just figured out who she wanted to be with and he was killed by Alaric Saltzman. There was no greater pain that she has ever felt in her life.

But of course nothing ever stayed sane for long. Hunters coming into mystic falls brings a whole new problem for them to face. But they weren't any ordinary hunters. They were the ones that would bring on the destruction of them. And the knowledge of a new, greater evil.

Old faces coming to light though make Cassandra optimistic about their chances against the evil that is threatening them. Cassandra couldn't believe she was seeing them again after so long, and the originals aren't too thrilled when other people are captivating the girls attention.

The mess in mystic falls is only getting greater as things didn't seem to go as planned ever in the small town. Old alliances form, new enemies grow and will love prevail through it all?
