CASSANDRA WASN'T BLIND, she could see the looks of pity on Klaus's face as they walked the halls of Mystic falls high school. Rebekah had stayed back to watch Stefan as the originals were afraid Cassandra would end up ripping his heart out like she had threatened. Klaus was walking a little bit behind her as he didn't know if she wanted him to be near her or not when she was overrun by her emotions. "Stop looking at me. I'm not in the mood to talk." She suddenly snaps at him, having enough of his longing stares. Cassandra knew he wanted to say something but she was in no mood to listen or to say anything about what had happened with Stefan.

"Love, you can sit this out if you prefer." Klaus tells her softly, a small frown on his lips as he notices the way she was acting so hostile. No one could blame her though as yet another person had decided it was okay to just use her and betray her trust like it meant nothing.

"I'm not a baby, Nik." Cassandra scoffs, crossing her arms against her chest as she knew Klaus just didn't want her to lash out at Elena or anyone else that was helping them.

"I know that. I just don't want you doing something you might regret." He states, immediately regretting his choice of words because Cassandra never took being treated like she was made out of glass lightly.

"And what exactly will I regret?" Cassandra sneers at him as she turns on her heel in order to face the man who kept his mouth shut. "The only thing I regret is not leaving when I had the chance." She mumbles as she let her mind wonder to what it would've been like if she had just ignored Damon's call that day and took off like she had originally planned. Cassandra would not be dealing with another heartbreak that's for sure.

"Now is your opening, since I see Stefan will no longer be on your friends list." Klaus tries to lighten the mood a little but but she only glares at him, scoffing as she shakes her head. Cassandra would've taken that opportunity a few days ago but there was new factor in staying in Mystic Falls. Rebekah.

"I just got Rebekah back. I'm not gonna leave her." Cassandra tells him with a small frown, not wanting to leave Rebekah just as soon as they had reunited. Plus, she needed someone in her life who she genuinely liked. "And as annoying as it is, you are one of the few that is not on my want to kill, list." She says before moving to walk again. Klaus allows a playful smirk to form on his lips as he moves beside the girl, glancing down at her.

"You can't kill me, love." He tells her making her give him a blunt expression. Cassandra squints her eyes at him, shaking her head a little.

"I wasn't being literal... Well about you." She says with a sigh, running a hand through her hair as she follows after Klaus, who had finally heard the doppleganger coming their way. As soon as Elena turned the corner, she ran into someone making her eyebrows furrow.

"There's my girl." Klaus says with a smirk as he blocks the girls way. Elena jumps a little bit, not expecting to see anyone let alone the hybrid in the school.

"Klaus." Elena gasps in surprise, her eyes burning into his so she didn't even notice the raven haired vampire standing behind the man.

"You are supposed to be dead. What are we going to do about that?" He asks as he cocks an eyebrow at her. Elena falters, trying to back away but Klaus only grabs her arm in order to keep her in place. "You've put a rather large kink in my plans sweetheart. The only point of breaking the curse to become a hybrid was to make more hybrids. I haven't been able to do that. Now, my bet is that it has something to do with the fact that you're still breathing." He explains to her with anger laced in his tone. Elena glares at him, wondering how he even figured out that she was still alive.

"If you're going to kill me just do it." Elena tells him as she tries to pull her arm away from him but it was no use. At this time, she had noticed the other vampire only standing back and letting Klaus hurt her.

"I'll do it alright. But I do have ways of making you suffer." Klaus sneers at her with a wicked smirk on his face which makes Elena gulp and glance at Cassandra for help. The girl only gives her a hateful expression, not caring for the girls life one bit. The man looks towards Cassandra as well, before the girl decides to walk away. She didn't want to deal with Elena, mostly because she would end up tearing into her before Klaus asked any questions.

Cassandra had rounded a corner, noticing a brunette wandering the halls by herself. She was so full of anger that she just needed to get it out of her system. Flashing in front of the girl, she gasps as she thought maybe she just didn't notice the woman standing in front of her. "Oh, my god. You scared me." The girl tells Cassandra with a small smile on her lips, a hand on her chest as she tries to slow down her heartrate.

"I did? My bad." She says as a smirk makes its way onto her features. The girl furrows her eyebrows before her eyes widen as she sees veins form under the girls eyes. The girl tries to scream but Cassandra had already launched her fangs into the girls neck, draining all the blood from her body.

It had been a week since Cassandra had gone out with Kol and drained so many human bodies, she couldn't believe she had actually killed so many people. Klaus had been trying to wean her off of it since then but his blood didn't taste the same right now. All she could think of was the warm fresh blood coming from all of the humans in their home. She was currently in the dining room alone as she had told Rebekah she just needed some quiet. Truthfully, she was degrading herself on what she had done. She truly was a monster.

"Miss Cassandra, are you feeling okay?" A voice asks making her turn her head only to see one of the maids standing their with a kind smile on her face.

"I am fine, thank you." Cassandra says quickly as she feels her grip tighten on the chair in front of her. The maid didn't look too convinced though as the girl was practically shaking.

"Are you sure, you look a little pale." The maid speaks up again with a small frown forming, taking a few steps closer.

"Leave me be." Cassandra tells her with a sigh as she looks away from the woman, fearing that if she looked at her, all she would see was a human blood bag.

"Do you want me to go grab someone--" The girl was cut off as Cassandra slams her hands against the table making the maid jump.

"I do not care. Just leave me be." Cassandra sneers, honestly not caring what the woman did right now because she was just trying not focus on the cravings she was feeling.

"Maybe you should not be alone." The woman says, not leaving like she was told multiple times to. Cassandra feels her blood boil before she flashes over to the woman, slamming her into the wall as her hand grasped the girls neck.

"Can you not hear? I told you to leave me alone because right now all I can hear is the blood pumping through your veins and it only makes me want to rip into your throat and drain all the blood from your body until you are dead on the floor." She snaps as her grip grows tighter on the woman who seemed to grow wide eyes, her mouth going agape at what Cassandra had just told her.

"W-what?" She asks, her voice stuttering as her blood ran cold. The woman didn't think she had heard Cassandra right but luckily the vampire had let her grip go.

"Please, please just leave." Cassandra compels her making the girl start to run towards the exit only to run into the vampire yet again. She didn't want to feed on her but she was just so hungry.

"Y-you told me to leave." She says with a gasp as she stares at Cassandra who shakes her head. Feeling the veins form under her eyes, she lets her fangs bare at the scared girl.

"I'm sorry." Cassandra apologizes before tearing into the girls neck, holding her body close as the woman screamed in her arms. She doesn't stop though it only urges her to continue drinking, a moan slipping out because of the taste. Eventually she hears the woman's neck snap which causes her to grow limp, making the girl drop the body to the floor. Cassandra feels the blood drip down her chin but she was so in ecstasy that she didn't care for the woman who's life she just took. She only feels a slight smirk take over as she eyes the two men who had rushed in after hearing the commotion.

"Cassandra, love?" Klaus calls out but gets no response making a sigh leave his lips as he continues on down the hall, Elijah and Rebekah following after him. "Are you sure she was this way?" He asks his sister who had mentioned that Cassandra was in the dining hall the last time the blonde layed eyes on her.

"It's where I left her, Nik. She wanted to be alone." She tells her brother as she follows after them, a sigh leaving her lips as she didn't want her brother to go ballistic on her just because he couldn't keep an eye on his girlfriend.

"Are you in here?" Klaus asks as his head peeks around the doorway, his body freezing at the sight in front of them. Elijah and Rebekah had also decided to glance inside after seeing their brother go wide eyed.

"Bloody hell." Rebekah gasps as she seems to notice the bodies on the floor. There had to be at least a dozen. Cassandra was crying in the corner, her bloodied hands in front of her as she simply stares at them. Klaus glances towards his siblings before making his way over to the girl, bending down in front of her. Cassandra's eyes were wide open but she didn't even register the man right in front of her.

"You're okay." He says, catching her attention but she only shakes her head frantically. Cassandra could feel her body become overwhelmed, pure fear in her eyes as she glances over at the body next to her. Klaus never ever used mind compulsion on her but he needed her to calm down and she was too frantic to do it by herself. "You're okay. You're okay." Klaus tells her as he looks into her eyes. Cassandra seemed to soften at his words, nodding her head lightly but she was still staring at him in pure shock. "Rebekah." He says as he glances back at his sister who seemed to get what he was trying to tell her. Making her way to the couple, she grabs Cassandra's hands and pulls her up from the ground.

"Come on, Cass. We're going to get you cleaned up alright?" She says to the girl who only follows her out of the room, not muttering a word as she passed by the brothers.

"This was Kol's fault. He made her feed on humans again and now she can't stop her urges." Klaus sneers, wanting to kill his brother for forcing Cassandra to drink human blood again.

"He didn't know, Nicklaus." Elijah tries to calm his brother down but Klaus only sends him a harsh glare. There was no truly defending Kol, he had sent Cassandra down this path. But he didn't quite know the reason why they had kept her off of human blood for so long. How was he supposed to know this is what it would lead to? Klaus only storms out of the room, leaving Elijah to clean up the mess that Cassandra had made.

"Cassandra, love?" Klaus's voice rings through Cassandra's ears as she was knelt down against a wall, her hands covering her face as their was blood dripping down her dress, not that you could tell easily because it was also red. She didn't even know how she had gotten to a different part of the school, all she knew is after the first body, there were many after that. "Where are you." He asks as his eyes meet the first brunette girl who was dead on the ground. A sigh leaves his lips as he was stupid to leave the girl alone when her emotions were running so high. "I'm assuming this trail of bodies was you?" He says as he finally lays eyes on the raven haired vampire who seemed to be completely out of it. Klaus didn't need to look around to know that their were more bodies to be found. "You missed quite a show so far." Klaus tries to say, hoping it would bring her back to reality which she didn't want to live. Not right now after we she had done.

"Go away." Cassandra mumbles as she sniffles, her eyes squeezed shut as she was afraid to open them and look at the disaster she had caused. Klaus takes a step towards her, his eyes searching over her.

"Are you okay?" He asks cautiously as he stares down at the woman who's head was in her hands, rocking back and forth.

"I said go away." She snaps this time, wanting to be left alone to wallow in her self pity. Cassandra felt disgusted with herself for letting her urges take over. She didn't even know how many people she had killed.

"What is it?" Klaus wanted to kneel down next to her but the girl had suddenly gotten up to her feet in order to stand right in front of him. By then he could see the obvious tear stains on her cheeks, the pure emotion in her eyes as she glances at the dead bodies for a moment. Klaus didn't know whether she was crying about killing or what's been going on in their lives, even a little bit of both.

"Why did you have to say all those things?" Cassandra asks him as she stares into his eyes, shaking her head. Klaus furrows his eyebrows for a moment, not seeing what exactly she was questioning him on. "Why couldn't you just be a vampire who wasn't ashamed of anyone knowing he loved." Cassandra says as she could feel a few tears slip down her cheeks, Klaus looking at her with an expression of guilt and remorse. "We would've still been together." She completely breaks down, not only over Klaus but over the people she had just openly murdered. Cassandra knew she was in no control anymore but she didn't want it to be anyone elses problem. She cries as she wraps her arms around the man, some of the blood getting onto his clothes but he didn't really care at that moment.

"Shh, it's okay love." Klaus assures her as he allows his arms to embrace the girl, holding her tightly. Her head was buried deep in his neck, her hands holding onto him like he was the only person left on earth. "I'm sorry." He whispers into her ear as he could hard the soft whimpers escaping the girls mouth. Klaus closes his eyes for a moment before pulling her back, his hand stroking her cheek as he looked at her. Their were a couple tears still dropping down her face but he wiped them away with his thumb.

"Go back to your apartment, I'll meet you there when I'm done." He tells her softly causing her to nod her head a little. Cassandra doesn't move though, she stays exactly in the same spot, her eyes gazing into his. Klaus pulls her closer a little bit, his hands sliding down to her jaw. Her eyes flicker down to his lips, her heart beating out of her chest. She didn't know where to look, into his eyes or at his lips which seemed to be getting closer by the second. She flickers her gaze up to the man, seeing him staring down at her with a couple different emotions.

All she saw in that moment, was the love in his eyes. Cassandra couldn't fight her feelings away, she knew they have always been there. There was a part of her that wanted to be with him again, to have his arms wrapped around her once more, to be loved for eternity by him but another part of her was telling her to stay the hell away from him.

She was stuck in the middle. So she did what her body was telling her to do. Cassandra connects their lips in a fiery hot kiss. Klaus immediately kisses back as he presses her back into the lockers. Her hands grip his hair as she presses her body up against his, their lips moving together as if they needed eachother to breathe. Cassandra tries to pull him closer, her lips greedily enveloping his as she pulls at his belt lightly. After a couple seconds, they both pull away from each other. Breathing heavily, their eyes connect as Klaus let's his tongue run over his bottom lip. He didn't know why she suddenly decided to kiss him but he wasn't complaining at all.

Suddenly, Cassandra had Klaus pinned underneath her on the couch in the teachers lounge. Pulling off her shirt, she roams her hands down the man's chest, her eyes hooded as she bites her bottom lip. Leaning down to connect their lips again, she moans into it as her hands move up in order to pull his hair. Klaus groans, tugging at her bottom lip a little bit as their mouths move together in unison. He helps remove the rest of their clothes as they were devouring each other. Cassandra gazes down at Klaus, before she connects their lips again, their tongues clashing together in passion. She wasted no time in sliding down onto him, earning a groan from the man underneath her. Cassandra allows him to thrust into her as she begins to move, their speed and tempo matching quickly. Strangled cries leave her lips as his hands grip onto her waist to help the process. Her nails were digging into his chest as each thrust went deeper, her head tilting back at the feeling. Klaus had his mouth slightly agape, sounds escaping his mouth as both their eyes were shut in bliss. Nearing her end, she begins to slow down her pace before letting him thrust into deeper. Cassandra moans out loud as they were now going a slow, deep pace. She suddenly let's go, a cry escaping her lips as she leans forward, her head resting in the crook of his neck. "Nik!" She whines out, her lips brushing against his neck as he concentrates on getting her through her climax.

"Cassandra." He gasps out as she moves her hips again to try and get him close. Cassandra feels him empty into her, a satisfied groan leaving his lips. They stay pressed together for a couple moments before Cassandra leans back up, their eyes connecting after it all.

She just sends him a soft smile. A simple gesture with such meaning behind it. Klaus knew he didn't have her back, it was just a moment they both needed. He still had a long way to go before he got her back but Klaus couldnt help but relish in the feeling with her. He didn't know when he would get this feeling with her again so he was cherishing it as much as he could. They hadn't kissed since before they had left Mystic Falls but this time was different. Cassandra actually felt strongly for the man this time because she wasn't going to openly admit it. Klaus just kept telling himself that he shouldn't hope for something to happen again, that's why he was kissing her like he would never again.

The door swings open, catching their attention but Cassandra doesn't dare move as Klaus hadn't exactly moved from her yet. "Nik, your timer is almost up." Rebekah's voice tells them causing the raven haired girl to internally face palm. She knew If Rebekah and her were alone right now, she would be giving a scolding look. But instead the Mikaelson was staring anywhere other than at her brother who was currently in a very sexual position with Cassandra. "You two are disgusting, by the way." She scoffs before turning to leave the two of them alone. Rebekah was yet again scarred by the people who couldn't seem to keep it in their pants.

"Timer?" Cassandra asks after Rebekah had left, leaving her to gaze at Klaus curiously. He only shakes his head, stroking her cheek before leaning down to grab his pants.

"No need to worry about it, love." He tells her as he starts to put them back on, glancing at the girl who was just staring at him. "Just go to your apartment, like I said." Klaus says as he watched her sigh as she starts leaning down to grab her clothes as well. She slips the tiny dress back on before searching for her panties which seemed to be nowhere.

"I'm not just using you for sex." She pipes up as she didn't want him to think there is nothing between them except sex. Klaus looks over at her, watching her eyes move over to him, or better the panties he was twirling around his finger. She gives him a scolding expression before grabbing them from his hand. "I just.. I need to figure out what the fuck is going on inside of my head." Cassandra explains as she lets out a sigh, sitting back down on the couch and putting her head in her hands.

"It's perfectly fine, darling. Take all the time you need. I'm not going anywhere." Klaus assures her as he buckles up his belt, her eyes roaming over him for a second before meeting his eyes. "And if you need help clearing your head again, I'm here." He tells her but his voice was kind, even though it had been in playful manner. Klaus wanted her to feel like she could get all of her feelings out with him, even if it was just in a physical way right now.

"That might be quite a lot then." Cassandra teases as she brushes a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thank-you for understanding." She says softly, meeting his eyes, watching him give her a small smile. Klaus wasn't going to push the girl, especially since she seemed to be having more problems than just him right now. He didnt want to add onto it.

"Thank you for even giving me a chance at getting another shot with you." He replies as he finishes putting his shirt back on before sitting back down next to her. Cassandra nods a little bit, her eyes drifting to the floor.

"Nothing is certain, you know that right?" She asks cautiously, a small frown on her lips as she hated thinking she was just using him. Cassandra just didn't want to give him any false hope because that just wouldn't be fair to him if she decided to not go back to him.

"Of course." Klaus says with a small smile as he presses a kiss to her bare shoulder. Cassandra glances towards him before allowing her lips to capture his again. She didn't know why she had decided to kiss him again but she needed it right now, she needed to know he was there. Klaus kisses her back, his hand going to he cheek as he pulls her closer. When they pull away, their eyes connect as they stare at each other for a moment. Both of them not wanting to look away because then reality would set back in.

IT WAS A COUPLE HOURS BEFORE KLAUS HAD FOUND HIS WAY INTO CASSANDRA'S APARTMENT. Since she owned it, anyone could enter without needing an invite. She was just thinking to herself the entire time, trying to convince herself that she was not a monster, almost like she hadn't killed all those people at the school. Cassandra was sitting on her couch, actually wearing a long shirt and sweatpants for once as she didn't feel like she deserved to sleep nice that night.

"Hey." She says, noticing the pair of eyes on her as she stares at the drink in her hand. Klaus appears in front of her, a small smile on his face although his eyes were filled with curiousity and amusement at the sight of her outfit. Cassandra had never dressed so comfortable around him.

"Hello, love." He replies as he puts his hands in his pockets, not knowing whether or not he should bring up what happened at the school with her losing control yet again.

"So? Fill me in." Cassandra beats him to a conversation though, wanting to know what she had missed and if Elena was as dead as a doorknob this time.

"Elena is the key to my hybrids." Klaus states as he gives a tight smile to her before making his way to the couch in order to sit down.

"That's a twist." She scoffs as she rests her head on her hand. Klaus nods his head as he makes himself comfortable next to her, letting out a little sigh.

"Tyler is my first successful hybrid and I might have turned off Stefan's emotions." Klaus says like it was nothing, pouring himself a glass of bourbon. Cassandra falters at the last part of his sentence, silently praying that he was just trying to tease her and that he didn't actually forcefully make Stefan turn his humanity off.

"You turned off his emotions?" Cassandra asks with a small frown, giving him a shake of her head. She instantly felt bad for the Salvatore, not caring for their history. No one deserved to have their freedom and humanity stripped away all at once.

"It was for his own good." Klaus says with a shrug but Cassandra only scoffs, giving the man a harsh glare. Who did he think he was thinking that he had any right to do that to Stefan.

"I may despise him at the moment but who are you to decide that?" She hissed at him, obviously upset by what he had did. Klaus sighs, knowing he'd have to explain it more if he wanted Cassandra not to be mad at him.

"It was just an in the moment spur." He says before feeling the woman hit the back of his head. Klaus looks at her like she's gone crazy but she only continues to slap him on his arm.

"And now he has to deal with the consequences of your actions." Cassandra points out before calming down in order to stare at him and say what she needed to. "This is what I'm talking about Nik. You can't keep doing this to people and expect me to want to be with you. You compelled me for fucking sake. And for what? To not wake Elijah?" She snaps at him, absolutely furious that he thinks he can just control people because he feels like it.

"I'm not going to argue with you because you're right. I do things that affect other people, things I just do in the moment because I get angry. I can't exactly change what I did, love. But I might change my ways for you." Klaus says with a sigh, brushing her cheek but she only squints at him not completely buying what he was telling her.

"Might?" She asks suspiciously, giving him a pointed stare but he only smirks at her.

"Well, not all my ways. I'd be dead if I did that." Klaus points out as he sets his glass down in the table after finishing his drink.

"You can't die." She says bluntly but Klaus only raises his eyebrows. It was not him he was truly worried about. "Right." Cassandra mutters before resting her head against the couch as she looks over at the man who's whole demeanor had changed suddenly.

"There's something I have to tell you." Klaus admits as he watches the girl sit up quickly, a curious expression on her face. "Do you remember me telling you about Mikael?" He asks, licking his bottom lip as he knew there was a much bigger problem at hand then him turning off Stefan's emotions.

"Your vampire, vampire hunting father who's not your father?" She questions as she raises an eyebrow at him which makes him nod.

"Damon and Katerina seem to have found him." Klaus tells her watching her eyes flood with shock for a moment before she glances around in confusion.

"But you're a hybrid. He can't kill you." She says with furrowed eyebrows as she moves closer to him, trying to understand why Klaus was still so afraid of the man.

"Love, he has a special weapon. One that can kill an original vampire. Even me." He states making her heart drop as she thought the while point of him being a hybrid was that he was more powerful and couldn't be killed. Why did these weapons always have to secretly pop up out of nowhere.

"I can talk to Katherine. She won't go and get him." She suggests in a hopeful tone as she couldn't believe that Mikael was actually found. They all had thought that he was in a place where no one would go looking. Not that people would want to look since he was a vampire, vampire hunter.

"They want me dead, darling." Klaus states as he rubs his face, thinking it was all over when he officially turned into a hybrid because he thought there was nothing that could kill him anymore.

"Katherine wants her freedom. She thinks she can only get it if you're dead." Cassandra explains, wanting to be able to try and convince the man to maybe make peace with the Petrova. That way Katherine would be on their side and give them Mikael instead.

"It's alright, love. Even if they find him, they won't be able to get close to me." Klaus tells her, not exactly ready to just forgive Katherine. Maybe eventually he would but he needed more time, that was If she didn't try to kill him.

"I'm scared for you, Nik." She says in a soft voice as she leans her forehead against his. Klaus sighs, closing his eyes for a moment as he lets his thumb run over her soft skin.

"You don't have to be." Klaus assures her before sitting back a little bit in order to look into her eyes. "Now, I'm leaving town for a little bit to turn some hybrids. You can stay here or you can come along with me." He says, wanting to give her a choice rather than forcing her to come along with him again.

"I'm gonna stay and see what I can get out of Damon." Cassandra says, knowing she would be more use trying to get information about Mikael and if Damon and Katherine were bluffing or not. "How'd you even know about this apartment?" She asks after a moment, never once mentioning it to the hybrid.

"I took a wild guess." He says with a smirk before flashing off, leaving Cassandra to watch after him. She only rolls her eyes, laughing slightly as she knew the man had to have been watching her more than she knew. Cassandra sighs as she leans back on the couch, her eyes flickering to the ceiling as she tries to forget the events that had happened during the day. But those pounding thoughts would never leave her. The thoughts they she was a murderer. That she had no control. That she was a complete monster.

CAROLINE, BONNIE AND ELENA WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF THEIR HIGHSCHOOL, forced smiles on their faces as they stared at the building. Just the previous night, all hell broke loose in there and here they were about to enter it in order to start the last chapter of their lives. "Here we are. Senior year." Caroline says excitedly as she glances towards he friends her were trying to remain optimistic but it wasn't working out for them.

"Anyone else feel like this should feel slightly more empowering?" Elena asks as she furrows her eyebrows not feeling the energy like she did any other year.

"Okay, so prank night was a bust but we are accepting it and moving on" the blonde says sternly, not wanting what happened to put a damper on their final year of high school.

"You're right. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghosts of his ex girlfriends hinder this experience." Bonnie says in a sarcastic voice as she raises an eyebrow at her blond best friend.

"Yes! And why should I overlook the fact That my boyfriend was turned into a hybrid put a damper on an otherwise fabulous day." Caroline says with a fake smile on her face as she laughs a little with bonnie. Sometimes you just needed to laugh the pain away.

"Today's our anniversary. Technically, Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year." Elena says sadly which makes Caroline want to roll her eyes as she shares a look with the witch who was standing beside her.

"Yeah, you win." Caroline says with a sigh, only trying to make Elena feel better not that she ever did the same to them. The blonde wanted to put Elena in her place but decided against it because she didn't have anyone else.

"How on earth does she win?" Cassandra asks with a scoff as she stops beside the trio who were all shocked by her presence. Elena glares at her but Caroline and Bonnie are actually quite glad to see the girl. "Boo hoo, you miss an anniversary which isn't even yours since the day you met isn't an anniversary. Jeremy seeing his exes and Tyler being turned is was worse then missing a gushy day with Stefan." She explains as she raises an eyebrow at the Group. Caroline tries to hide her smile but it didn't work all too well. She wanted to continue her friendship with the older vampire but Elena didn't want anything to do with her. Bonnie didn't think Cassandra was that bad of a person either.

"Why are you here? I thought you'd leave town with klaus. You didn't seem to help me when I was taken." Elena tells her with venom laced in her voice, trying to act all touch but it only made her seem snotty.

"I didn't know you were even alive until recently so I honestly didn't care about you." Cassandra says with a shrug which makes Bonnie and Caroline nod their heads until Elena looked their way. In all honesty, they thought Cassandra had every right to act the way that she did. "I would be more mad at Stefan but he doesn't give two shits about anyone." She adds with a sigh as she sees Elena still burning holes in the side of her head, not that she payed much mind to it.

"You didn't answer my question." Elena says but Cassandra only flickers her eyes to the girl with a hateful expression on her face.

"You don't get to demand things from me." She snaps towards the girl who flinches a little bit as she moves closer to her friends and away from the new Mystic Falls pyscho.

"Are you sure you want to be here?" Caroline asks, trying to keep the two girls from killing each other. Correction, to keep Cassandra from completely destroying Elena.

"I have to be here. I have to put it behind me. New year. New life." Elena says with a smile as she glances at her friends who weren't so easily convinced by it. Cassandra only sighs as she looks at the school for a moment.

"If only it were that easy." She mumbles before walking off on her own, knowing that trying to put everything behind you, trying to forget it never worked out as planned. Cassandra tried that five hundred years ago and look where that had gotten her. It was much easier to try and fix the life that you have than to start an entirely new one. Cassandra had learnt that the hard way.
