CASSANDRA STORMS INTO THE BED AND BREAKFAST, seeing Katherine relaxing on the couch, her feet resting on the coffee table. Cassandra was practically radiating anger as she stared at the Petrova doppelganger. "Are you out of your mind?" Cassandra scoffs as she walks over to the girl angrily, trying to resist the urge of killing the girl. If Katherine wanted to get herself killed, Cassandra would gladly call Klaus herself and hand the bitch over if it meant her not getting caught because of Katherine's impulse decisions.
"Please. Come in." Katherine says blankly with a roll of her eyes. Cassandra knocks her feet off of the table causing Katherine to scoff as she looks at the girl expectantly although she knew what her little lecture was going to be about.
"Why did you turn Caroline?" She asks as she crosses her arms, raising her eyebrows as she waits for an answer. Cassandra already knew it was in spite of Elena but she didn't get why, especially given their situation.
"To send a message." Katherine bluntly says with a shrug of her shoulders, a smirk forming on her lips knowing it really pissed off Elena and her little group.
"If we start to draw attention to this town, Klaus will find us." She states firmly but her face falters when she notices the expression Katherine was trying to hide. Cassandra could always read the girl like an open book and that's why Katherine could never get away with anything. "Oh, my god. That's why you did it. To get everything he needs for his stupid sacrifice?" Cassandra snaps, wanting to tear Katherine's head off for even putting them at risk of being found. Katherine knew how easily Klaus could find them if word of the doppleganger got out.
"Oh, don't tell me you actually care for my pathetic excuse of a doppleganger." Katherine sneers in disgust as she rolls her eyes. She saw how easily Cassandra cared but caring for Elena Gilbert made Katherine feel rage but also jealousy. Everyone loved miss precious Elena. It annoyed Katherine to her core.
"I don't want to be killed." Cassandra states in a stern voice, trying to make Katherine see the bigger picture than trying to torture Elena for fun. Katherine couldn't have her fun if she was dead or locked up in Klaus's basement for the next two hundred years.
"We won't be! If we have everything we need to give to Klaus in exchange for our freedom." Katherine explains angrily, wanting her freedom badly and knowing this is one of the only ways they would get it.
"Are you that stupid, Katherine?" Cassandra scoffs as she raises her eyebrows at the brunette. Katherine only stares at her confused, not seeing the problem. "Klaus will kill us regardless." She hisses, knowing that even if they gave Klaus everything, he would take everything from them and then kill them painfully.
"Have you told Elijah about any of this?" Katherine asks, pressing her lips together in a firm line. Cassandra shakes her head as she wipes the lonely tear that escaped from her eye.
"Do you honestly believe he won't betray me for his brother?" Cassandra scoffs as she pulls at her hair, putting her head in her hands. Katherine frowns as she moves closer to the raven haired girl, grabbing her arm.
"We can trust him." She tries to reason with the girl who sighs, not knowing what to do. Cassandra knew Elijah was noble but she didn't know to what extent. "You put your life on the line for me. I don't think I could ever repay you for that. I care about you, Cass. And I would die before I let anything happen to you." Katherine promises with a small smile which Cassandra returns before she dramatically gasps, smirking at the brunette.
"Oh, my god. The elusive Katherine Pierce would die for moi? I'm honoured." She jokes with a laugh causing Katherine to throw a pillow at her. Cassandra only playfully glares at her as she throws it right back. Katherine sighs as she falls back against the couch.
"You never told me how you even met Klaus." She points out, her eyes watching Cassandra's face fall. Cassandra glances over at her for a second, pain written in her eyes.
It was mid 1297, Cassandra had just arrived in a new place, a fresh start from where she was previously. She convinced herself that if she forgot about what had taken place beforehand, she wouldn't pressure herself to turn it off. To not feel the pain she had brought upon herself by killing all those innocent people.
She was remorseful, hating herself for even feeding off of the humans. Unable to control herself when she got the taste of blood. Cassandra found herself in the midst of royal blood as she stood by herself in the gathering room. She breathes deeply, trying not to go out of control and kill any of them. Even though half of the snobby, selfish rude Royals deserved it for the way they treated their so called wives.
"I have never seen you around before." A British voice makes her look away from all the walking blood bags. Cassandra is about to politely declined whatever errand they want her to run until she meets the eyes of a gorgeous blonde man who was standing before her. Her breath catches in her throat as she stares into the man's stunning blue eyes. "Why is a beautiful woman like yourself all alone in a crowd full of people?" He asks with a smirk playing on his lips that would make any woman fall at his feet. The man couldn't help but admire the woman standing in front of him. Her raven hair was loosely curled as part of it was in two braids, stretching over the top of her head. She was wearing a pastel color dress that made her skin glimmer and her eyes stand out. Cassandra clears her throat before she smiles at him brightly.
"Do you say that to all of the women you see?" Cassandra says as she moves to walk around him, biting her lip as she trails her finger across his chest."Offer her a glass of champagne and try to seduce her with your good looks and fairly used lines?" She asks with a giggle, stopping once again in front of him, closer than they were before. Klaus shrugs his shoulders as he licks his lips.
"Well, I shall offer champagne if she does not get seduced by my good looks at first. Then I may simply try and get her heavy on alcohol so she does think that I am very much handsome." Klaus explains jokingly causing a laugh to leave from Cassandra's lips. She nods her head, as her hand moves to place on her hip.
"Why shall I offer you my presence?" Cassandra asks with a raise of an eyebrow, wondering what he would offer her. Klaus only stares at the champagne in his hand, a disgusting expression set on his face.
"I do have better tasting alcohol than this cheap champagne they seem to be serving us." He states as his eyes flicker up to meet hers. Cassandra giggles as she nods her head, placing her glass on the table.
"You have sold me completely." She teases with a happy smile on her face. Cassandra let's out a breath as she plays with her fingers. "My name is Cassandra. Cassandra Harrington." She tells him as she curtsy's in front of him since it was the formal thing to do when meeting someone. Klaus chuckles as he takes her hand in his, planting a soft kiss on it.
"Niklaus Mikaelson. But please, call me Klaus." He introduces, his smirk reappearing on his lips as he looks into her eyes. Cassandra's legs almost buckle at the man's smirk but she keeps herself up, standing tall. His last name sounded familiar but at the moment she only cared about spending time with him and possibly maybe taking a bite. If he tasted as exquisite as he looked, she was in for a treat.
"Lead the way, Klaus." She says with a smile as she stares at him. Klaus mirrors her smile as he takes her hand in his, oddly liking the feeling of it. Cassandra follows him as he leads her to a seperate room, away from everyone. She glances around the room, seeing a sofa in the middle of the room and deciding to take a seat, her shoes giving her blisters. Klaus sits next to her, watching as she breathes heavily trying to survive in the tight dress. Klaus didn't understand why she would torture herself in the constricting clothing but he knew that people didn't respect women that often. He was one of the few that actually thought that women deserved better than to be housewives.
"So, love. What brings you here?" Klaus asks with a smile as he leans back against the couch, looking into her eyes. Cassandra let's out a breath as she sits closer to the man, letting her hand rest between them.
"I love to travel. See all of the beauty that nature shares with us." She admits with a bright smile, showing off her perfect teeth. Klaus nods his head as he continues to listen intently. "But it seems that nature sometimes dies." Cassandra states, her face slowly turning into a frown as she stares at her hands for a few seconds. "Why does something so beautiful, always seem to die?" She asks him as she lifts her head up to look at him. Klaus was speechless for a moment, not really knowing how to answer a question like that.
"If you shall go into a garden, what flower shall you pick?" He eventually questions as he meets her eyes. "The beautiful one, or the dull one?" He asks making the girl sigh as she shakes her head, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I believe that all things are beautiful. Things should not be forgotten just because they are not as vibrant as others." Cassandra explains as she fixes the front of her dress that seemed to have become undone. Klaus looks at her in astonishment, wondering why this girl he had just met, had so much control over him.
"I agree." Klaus says as he brushes a strand of hair out of her face. Cassandra can't help but melt at the touch. "Let me show you something." He whispers as she nods her head, pulling at her fingers which is what she did when she got nervous. They both stand up, Cassandra watching as Klaus walked over to something that was leaning against the wall, covered. He takes off the cloth, revealing a beautiful painting which makes a smile overtake Cassandra's features. She walks over to stand next to him as she admires the painting.
"Did you paint this?" Cassandra asks as her eyebrows furrow, not knowing many people who like the craft of art. "It is incredible." She gasps as her finger trails the frame. He smiles lightly as he looks at the painting in front of them.
"It is nothing fancy, I was just passing the time." Klaus explains as the girl stares admirably at the painting. She furrows her eyebrows as she turns her head to face him, their eyes connecting.
"You are clearly mistaken. This is truly a masterpiece." Cassandra tells him with a smile on her face as she looks back at the painting, loving the feeling it gave her when she stared at it.
"You shall let me draw you one day." Klaus says in a hopeful tone as he gazes at the girl, adoration in his tone as he couldn't help but be smitten by the girl. Cassandra raises an eyebrow as a giggle leaves her lips.
"Who's to say I will be sticking around for another day?" She asks in a teasing manner, turning her body to face Klaus who only smirked at her question.
"I think that my strong alcohol and awful lines will do the trick." He states as he pours a glass of his oldest bourbon, holding it up as she squints her eyes at him. Cassandra takes it from him, eyeing it before letting some of it into her mouth, it burning her throat. She coughs as she stares at the alcohol in her hand, covering her mouth.
"Oh! This is quite strong." Cassandra states with a laugh as she swallows to try and get rid of the taste. Klaus takes the glass back as he raises an eyebrow.
"Can you not handle it?" He teases as he goes to drink some of it. Cassandra scoffs playfully as she hits his arm.
"Do you wish to challenge me, Mr Mikaelson?" She asks with a giggle before grabbing the glass and downing to contents in it. Cassandra coughs lightly afterwards but smiles as Klaus laughs at her attempt. Klaus goes to pour more in the glass when he hears footsteps heading towards them.
"My apologizes for the interruption." Cassandra's servant says as he pokes his head into the room. Klaus squints his eyes at the boy, having not seen him around before. She puts her glass down, a sigh leaving her lips.
"What shall I do for you, Augustus?" Cassandra asks as she backs away from Klaus a little to face her servant. She has a polite smile on her face as she faces the young boy.
"Your carriage is ready for you, Miss Cassandra." He tells her with a smile as he glances towards Klaus. Klaus was angry they had been interrupted but kept a calm face.
"Thank you, Augustus. I will be out shortly." Cassandra states as she turns back to Klaus, hearing the footsteps of the servant walking away.
"You are leaving so soon?" Klaus questions as he can't help the frown that appears. Cassandra sighs as she grabs a napkin and wipes the remaining alcohol off of his lips.
"I have matters to attend to." She tells him as she pulls her hand away but he only grabs it, pulling her closer to his body. Cassandra's breath hitches in her throat as they stare at each other for a moment.
"Well you shall visit whenever you feel you want to." Klaus states as he lets her hand go, allowing her to step back. She seems taken aback by the revelation that he was the owner of this place.
"You are the Lord who owns this place?" Cassandra questions with a gasp as she glances around the room. Klaus nods his head, a smile present on his lips. "A given reason to come back will suffice." She teases as she gazes up at him, fluttering her eyelashes. Klaus takes a step closer to her causing her stomach to twist at the close distance.
"Isn't I enough reason to come back?" Klaus asks as their lips hover over each others, leaving Cassandra speechless. He suddenly backs away, a smirk on his face as he turns around and leaves the room. Cassandra was absolutely awestruck.
"Klaus seemed so sweet. He was always kind to me." Cassandra says, staring blankly across the room as Katherine looks at her, her chin on her palm.
"Then he betrayed you." Katherine points out with bluntness in her voice making Cassandra glare at her. The doppleganger purses her lips as she had noticed everytime Klaus would come up, she would become enraged. But Katherine could tell the girl was still in love with him even after everything which made her internally roll her eyes.
"I knew I was stupid for falling for him." She states angrily as she throws a vase at the wall causing Katherine to sigh. She watches Cassandra grip her hair, somehow trying to stop thinking about her ex.
"Especially when you had Elijah pining after you." Katherine mumbles under her breath, a small smirk on her lips. Cassandra had no idea of the love Elijah felt for her and it honestly made Katherine mad. Katherine knew she could have love again and the girl didn't even see it. She was still so blinded by Klaus even if she didn't realize it.
"What?" Cassandra asks, not hearing the girl fully enough to understand her. Katherine only shakes her head, replacing her smirk with a fake smile.
"Nothing." She replies as she hands the girl a glass of vodka. Their signature drink. Cassandra huffs as she takes the glass from Katherine. "So, are you still mad at me?" Katherine asks with a raise of her eyebrow as both girls down their drinks. Cassandra sighs as she shakes her head, a defeated look on her face.
"No. But you can't go around turning people or drawing too much attention." She scolds the brunette who groans as she lets her head hit the pillow.
"Fine. As long as you tell Elijah about Elena and the moonstone." Katherine tells her with a pointed stare causing the raven haired girl to roll her eyes as she sighs.
"I will. Soon." Cassandra lies to the brunette, a tight smile placed on her face. Cassandra knew Elijah could not know about any of this, at least for as long as she could prevent him from finding out. Katherine obviously believed her lie, even though they both knew that sooner or later, Elijah and Klaus were both going to find their way to Mystic Falls.
And it would be the two girl's perish.

LOOKING AROUND AT ALL THE TEENAGERS, a groan leaves Cassandra's lips as she couldn't seem to find Stefan. He had called her, telling her to meet him at the swimming hole without informing her of all the drunk human's strolling around. She thought he wanted to hang out, swim around. Actually have fun for once in his life. She was clearly mistaken since the bunch of teenagers were scattered around and Stefan was nowhere to be seen.
Her eyes catch the sight of the familiar werewolf who was talking to Tyler, sitting in his car. A sigh leaves her lips as she starts to walk closer to him, getting to the car just as Tyler leaves. Mason's eyes land on his girlfriend who leans against the open window. "Hey there, stranger." She flirts with a smirk evident on her lips. Mason smiles as his eyes check her out for a moment, licking his lips before a laugh leaves his lips.
"I didn't think a seven hundred year old vampire would party with teenagers." Mason says playfully as he leans closer to her. Cassandra shrugs her shoulders as she licks her lips, gazing at him.
"I'm not. I got a text from Stefan telling me to meet him somewhere in the woods." She grumbles, annoyed by the Salvatore even though she liked him, as a friend of course. It wasn't that he was annoying, it's just she hated having to help them with every single little problem. "But I wouldn't mind taking a dip."Cassandra's attitude changes drastically as she smirks at her lover, playing with his collar. Mason raises an eyebrow as he allows her to rip a part of his shirt.
"I thought we were meant to be fake fighting." Mason teases as he takes her hand in his, giving it a squeeze. She lightly smiles at him as she nods her head.
"Damon is out of town and I can just make up a lie for Stefan." She explains as she meets his eyes, pulling her hand back to place it on the door.
"Make sure you get out of here by dark." Mason states as he glances around at the teenagers surrounding them. Cassandra sighs as she nods her head.
"Oh, right. Or you'll wolf out on me." Cassandra imitates a wolf causing Mason to laugh as he shakes his head. She only leans in close enough so their lips are hovering over his. If it was any other day she would be hounding him to find the moonstone but now was not the time to make him angry. "It's your loss." She purrs as she backs away from his car and lifts her shirt over her head, leaving her in a black bikini top along with her high waisted denim shorts. Mason groans at the girl's tactics, her knowing very well that he had to resist her. He gives her one last glance before putting his car into drive. Cassandra only giggles as she turns around, noticing Stefan and Caroline a few feet away from them.
"Why are you staring at him with your serious vampire look?" Caroline asks as they watch Mason drive away from Cassandra. Stefan turns to face the blonde, his eyebrows raised at her word choice.
"My wha-- my serious vampire look?" Stefan asks, amused at the girl as he tries to figure out what she meant by that.
"Mhm, it's not too different from your worried vampire look, neither of which stray far from your 'hey it's Tuesday' look." Caroline says before closing the trunk, seeing Cassandra stop behind Stefan. Stefan chuckles lightly as he nods his head at the girl.
"I get it. You uh .. you think I'm too serious." Stefan points out with a raise of his eyebrows watching as a smirk forms on Caroline's lips.
"Well, I wasn't going to say it like that but..." Caroline says sarcastically as she giggles, Cassandra smiling at how well the girl had turned out.
"I thought you and Mason were on the outs?"Stefan asks curiously as he eyes the raven haired girl. Cassandra only raises an eyebrow at his question as she shrugs her shoulders.
"I still need something from him so I have to play nice." She says being criptic as she kicks the dirt underneath her feet. Stefan furrows his eyebrows as he crosses his arms.
"You need something? What?" He asks curiously, waiting for the girl to spill her secret. It wasn't a dumb idea for him and Damon to think she was hiding something.
"It's not polite to butt into people's business, Stefan." Cassandra scolds playfully as she smirks at him. Stefan stares at her, somewhat knowing that whatever it was, she wasn't going to tell him. Which only made him want to know more. "You don't see me asking why your girlfriend is off on a road trip with Damon." She sing songs with a fake smile on her lips. Stefan clenches his jaw as he nods his head, pressing his lips into a firm line.
"We're gonna go there?" Stefan asks, internally hating the idea of Elena being with Damon. Cassandra sighs, deciding not to make Stefan angry.
"You know it's the swimming hole, right? Lose the shirt." Cassandra demands jokingly as she points at his torso. Stefan only laughs as he crosses his arms.
"I'm not here to party." He answers her with a shake of his head but she could see the tiny smile on his face. Cassandra dramatically sighs as she hangs off of his shoulder, pouting at him.
"Oh, right. Serious Stefan never has fun." She says with a giggle as he shoves her playfully off of him. Stefan squints at her as he gives her a sarcastic smile.
"Very funny." Stefan replies as he rolls his eyes, watching as she stole two beers from a boy before turning around and holding one out to him. She wiggles her eyebrows, taking a drink of hers. He is about to take it when he notices something happening with Caroline in the distance. Stefan brushes past the older vampire, making his way over to Caroline. Cassandra groans but follows after him anyways.
"Hey, I saw that. You compelled her." Stefan points out as they watch Matt walk away from the blonde, obviously mad about something. Cassandra stops beside Stefan as they both watch Caroline seethe in anger.
"Yeah, she deserved it." She snaps at the salvatore who only shakes his head.
"Caroline, no one deserves to have their mind messed with for shallow reasons." Stefan tells her, scolding her and Cassandra is about to disagree when he only gives her a stern expression making her raise her hands in defence.
"You know what, why is everyone sticking up for Aimee freakin Bradley?" Caroline asks frustratingly as she grips her blonde hair, turning to face him.
"You're letting the jealousy get the best of you." Stefan tells her with a sigh but it only makes Caroline more angry as she flings her arms around.
"Oh, so now I have magnified jealousy issues too. That's great." Caroline scoffs as she rolls her eyes. Cassandra sighs as she puts her hand on the girls shoulder, squeezing it.
"At least you don't care too easily and get your heart ripped from your chest." She tells the girl who's eyes widen at the revelation before Cassandra smiles, shaking her head. "Not literally." Cassandra clarifies making Caroline let out a relieved sigh. But a frown instantly takes over the blondes face as she stared at the older vampire.
"Someone hurt you?" She asks, sadness laced in her tone. Stefan glances over at Cassandra who only gave the girl a small smile.
"Not in a long time." Cassandra admits as she rubs the blondes arm. Caroline lightly smiles but her eyes told a different story, she felt bad that the girl was betrayed just because she cared.
"I told you this wasn't going to be easy." Stefan states, changing the subject because he always knew when Cassandra didn't want to talk about something anymore. It's a thing he picked up about her when they first met.
"Yeah, well I should've just stayed dead. My entire personality is just killing me." She groans as she leans against one of the trucks. Stefan only chuckles at the girl causing a glare to surface in her eyes. "Shut up." Caroline scolds the boy who only continues laughing, causing a small smile to form on the blonde's lips. Cassandra crosses her arms across her chest as she glances up at Stefan.
"Is this seriously what you invited me to do? Talk?" Cassandra asks the Salvatore with a small glare, although she enjoyed Stefan's company. He was always so nice to her in 1864 and she thought they would've made good friends if she hadn't of had to leave. Sure she has checked up on him over the years but coming back to Mystic Falls was the first she saw the two brother's since she left over a hundred years ago.
"Is that not fun enough for you?" Stefan asks sarcastically, a smile on his lips as he raises an eyebrow. Cassandra squints at him before a smirk forms on her lips as she starts to unbutton her shorts. He watches with a confused expression as she shimmies out of them, leaving her only in a black bikini. She tilts her head at him before turning around and heading towards the water. Caroline shares a glance with Stefan before they both watch her swing on the rope before landing in the water.
Emerging from the water, she lets out a light gasp before her eyes meet the Salvatore's. Stefan only shakes his head with a smile on his face. She giggles gesturing for him to come over but he only denies it. Cassandra rolls her eyes before an idea enters her head. She smirks to herself before speeding behind Stefan and jumping on his back. Stefan groans as he tries to get her off but Cassandra only laughs as she rubs all the water onto him. He flips her over so she falls onto her back on the hard ground. She glares up at him but he only laughs as her. She can't help but smile up at him, seeing the happiness in his eyes for the first time since 1864.
"See. Having fun makes you smile."
β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’
CASSANDRA IS SITTING IN HER LIVING ROOM, staring at her phone as a message from Stefan pops up. She sighs as she leans her head back against the couch, closing her eyes for a moment. Cassandra couldn't wait to finally have her freedom, if she ever gets it. Then she could go wherever she wanted, not have any secret agendas or be bothered by other vampires. She could do whatever she wanted. She would be free. Cassandra hoped for the day to come, desperately awaiting its arrival.
Tilting her head down to look at the message, she internally groans at the subject. Of course they would try and figure the damn thing out.
Mason may be werewolf. Bite kills vampires. Caroline is missing.
Cassandra already knew half of the text but Caroline being missing was new to her. She didn't see what Stefan was asking her to do though, if he thought she would run into the forest where a werewolf is roaming free, he had another thing coming.
Not my problem.
She wasn't lying, it wasn't her problem to keep Caroline in check. She ran off by herself and if Stefan wants to go on a mission to find her he can do that but Cassandra wasn't going to help. Her phone buzzes, making her roll her eyes as she looks at the message.
Please.
Cassandra stares at her phone for a moment, knowing she wasn't going to risk her life for Caroline. She cared for the girl, as much as she hated it, but to earn her freedom she had to be alive, not a werewolf's dinner.
I'm not risking it. You shouldn't either.
Cassandra sighs, knowing she would hear about it from Stefan later on but she wasn't an idiot. If she had gone looking for Mason he would've bit her, he has no control when he is in his wolf form. She bites into the woman who was in front of her, sitting on the ground in her living room. The woman only tilts her neck giving the vampire better access. Cassandra stares at the floor as she feeds, her head bringing her into another memory.
Klaus feeds on the woman in his arms, moaning as the blood rushes down his throat. His arms were tightly wrapped around her as he pulled her ever so closer to her more of her blood. It was the middle of the night, his siblings were all in their seperate rooms, leaving him alone in the middle of his dining room.
"That is a very impolite way to treat a lady." A voice calls out causing Klaus to detach his fangs from the woman, annoyed at the interruption. Although when he meets the eyes of the person who talked, his face immediately drops.
"Cassandra. What are you doing here at this hour?" He asks, his face turning back to normal as he stared wide eyed at the woman standing near the doorway. Klaus couldn't help but admire the girl's beauty for a minute. Her hair was half wrapped in a braid while the rest was straight, flowing down her shoulders. Her dress was a green pastel, the top part being tight, pushing her breasts up perfectly as the bottom half flutters out towards the ground. Cassandra's eyes sparkle in the moonlight that shone through the window, her skin gleaming. She was perfect in his mind.
"Visiting." Cassandra answers bluntly as she walks into the room, her feet clicking against the floor. Klaus clenches his jaw as he never meant for her to find out what he was. "You told me I shall visit whenever I saw fit." She states as she stares at the blood dripping down the woman. Cassandra gulps trying to control herself so she didn't turn.
"I can explain this." Klaus states, ready to vamp speed over to her and compel her to forget she ever saw him. Cassandra only raises her eyebrows as she glances around the room, seeing another woman passed out on a chair, or at least she looked passed out.
"Please do. Because you are doing it all wrong." Cassandra tells him causing klaus to look at her confused, he didn't know why she wasn't running away, screaming vampire down the halls. "You have to take pleasure in it. The thrill of the chase. Have her be afraid of you, so afraid she will try to escape your grasp and just as she is about to, that is when you grab her. You feed just right on the carotid and you will not miss a single drop." She explains, as she bites her lip, leaning on the table as she stares at him. Her corset was restricting her airway which annoyed her, she didn't understand why women had to wear these dumb clothing.
"You are not afraid?" He asks before it clicks in his head that she wasn't a weak, petty human. She was a vampire. Klaus raises his eyebrows as he watches her untie some of her corset, a sigh leaving her lips as she was now able to actually breathe.
"Of course I am not." Cassandra giggles as she notices his eyes moving across her chest before moving back up. She internally rolls her eyes at him checking her out, not that she didn't appreciate the fact that he thought she was attractive. "It did not take me long to realize where I recognized your maiden name from. You are one of the originals." She meets his eyes as he nods his head, confirming her theory. Cassandra didn't know for sure but as soon as she saw his vampire self, she knew she was right.
"Indeed I am." Klaus states, still not understanding why she isn't scared since when most people find out, they run like hell. "When did you turn?" He asks, still holding the woman he was feeding on a minute beforehand. Cassandra walks closer to her, her finger sliding across the handmade table next to her.
"1294." She states with a sigh, knowing it was not best to tell him how little she's been a vampire. Klaus seemed taken back by the girls answer, thinking she was way older than she said.
"You are quite young yet you have so much knowledge." Klaus raises a curious eyebrow, wondering how she learned all of that so quickly. Cassandra shrugs her shoulders innocently as she eyes the woman in his arms.
"I am a quick learner." She replies with a giggle before a pout forms on her lips, batting her eyelashes at the original vampire. "You do know that sharing is rather polite." Cassandra states as she crosses her arms, staring at Klaus who chuckles. He smirks at her as he raises his eyebrows, holding the woman's body out.
"Have at it, love." He tells her, blood still dripping down his shirt. Cassandra matches his smirk as she walks over to him, stopping in front of the girl. Her face changes as her fangs descend. Klaus watches her as she sinks them into the girls neck, moaning at the taste. Cassandra drinks more, unable to pull herself away from the exquisite taste. Klaus bites into the other side, relishing in the thought of feeding with her. He eventually pulls away with a smirk on his face, wiping his mouth. Klaus notices Cassandra still latched onto the woman's neck, he watches as she finally let's go the woman's body falling to the ground.
"I have still yet to know control. I cannot limit myself." Cassandra tells him sadly as she stares at the womans dead body. Klaus sighs as he turns her head away from the woman and looks into her eyes, making her furrow her eyebrows.
"Is that what you desire? To know control?" Klaus asks as he looks directly into her eyes. For some reason she felt herself being pushed to answer the question, even if she didn't want to.
"I do not want to kill an innocent every time that I feed." She states as tears threaten her eyes. She pushes them back so she doesn't look weak in front of him.
"Then let me teach you." Klaus says feeling euphoric when a bright smile made its way onto her lips. Cassandra knew trusting an original vampire was basically a death sentence but something made her feel like he wouldn't hurt her.
"That would be dearly helpful." Cassandra gasps as she looks at him hopeful. She didn't want to take the life of innocent people so if she could change that, she would gladly accept the help. Cassandra didn't know why Klaus would want to help her but she wasn't about to question the handsome original.
"You missed a spot, love." Klaus points out as he lifts his thumb to wipe the small amount of blood on her chin. He sucks the blood off, their faces inches apart. Klaus tilts his head a little as he leans in closer to her. Cassandra pulls back, shaking her head at him as she giggles, her hands planted solid on his chest.
"If you wish to kiss me you shall take me out for a special evening first." Cassandra states, keeping her head held high as a smile reaches her lips. Klaus chuckles as he licks his lips, smirking at the girl in front of him. He was intrigued by the girl, he wanted to get to know her. That was a first for him ever since he became a vampire. But he couldn't fall for her. He wouldn't. At the most, she would be a distraction until his family moved on to another place.
"With pleasure, darling." He tells her as he brings her hand up to his lips to plant a kiss on it. Cassandra giggles as her eyes gaze into his.
Cassandra stares at the fireplace in front of her, a tear dropping from her eye as she remembers her first love. She tried to forget him, she tried to get him out of her head but nothing seemed to work. He was always there. Part of Cassandra knew she would always love him but he would never love her back. She should've known he never loved her the second she met him. He was an original. Klaus only cared about himself and his family, not caring about a stupid newbie vampire. The only reason he kept her around was to get what he needed for his sacrifice.
Cassandra looked down at the glass in her hands, it shattered to pieces as she thought of Klaus betraying her. She knew she had to end her rendezvous with Elijah because sooner or later he would choose his brother. Cassandra didn't care how many times he promised he wouldn't let anything happen to her.
She knew how powerful Klaus's need for vengeance was.
