CASSANDRA WAS STANDING IN HER ROOM, eyeing herself in the mirror as she tried her hardest to get her corset off. She sighs a little as she tilts her head. Cassandra had just spent her morning with Rebekah in the town but it didn't stop her from wanting to be with Nik. He had promised to be with her yesterday but something came up. Something always came up. I guess that is what happens when you are with an original vampire who is also one of the Lord's.

She didn't let it get to her, putting on a facade around him to let him think that he wasn't hurting her. But all she wanted was one day with him, one day to just be loved. Cassandra didn't notice the man leaning against their doorway until she had almost gotten her corset off. She couldn't help the smile that formed on her lips, even if she was a little upset with him. "Nik, you musn't intrude into a lady's bedroom while she is changing." She scolds him playfully as she smiles at him. Turning around to face him, his eyes roam her body for a second, taking in her beauty. Nothing was really covered since the corset was really loose but Cassandra was never shy whenever she was with Nik.

"Well, you are my lady so I will do as I see fit." He answers her with a smirk on his lips, his eyes gazing into hers as he licks his bottom lip. Leaning in, he plants a passionate kiss onto her lips, his hands gripping her hips. Cassandra returns the kiss before she pulls away, her arms wrapping around his neck.

"Are you spending your day with me?" She asks with hope in her tone as she didn't want to be pushed to the side once again. Klaus smiles at her as he runs a hand through her hair, pressing a kiss to her cheek before he nods his head.

"I have a little business to take care of, but then I am all yours, my love." Klaus tells her as he moves to take off his shoes. Cassandra falters for a second but covers it up as she puts on a smile, clapping her hands. At least she would get to spend some of the day with her love even if it's not what she wanted.

"Excellent. You have been quite distant lately." She admits as she moves over to him, fiddling with her fingers a little bit. Klaus glances at her as he moves his hair away from his face. He hadn't noticed he had been distant but it was probably because he almost had everything he needed in order to break his curse. All he needed to find was the doppleganger.

"I apologize. A lot has been happening." Klaus says with a sigh as he pulls her in for a hug. Cassandra let's him hold her for a couple seconds before her eyes drift up to his, a small frown on her face as she was worried something was wrong and he just didn't want to worry her.

"Is everything alright?" Cassandra questions with a small gasp as she takes his hand in hers. Klaus only gives her a smile as he nods his head, planting another kiss on her lips to reassure her.

"Everything is perfect, dear. Just like you." He states as his eyes move over her body once more. Cassandra playfully rolls her eyes as she nudges him a little, knowing he was just trying to be his charming self to try and distract her.

"Oh, do not be such a suck up, Nik." She teases him as she turns back to the mirror in able to try and get her corset off. He only moves behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. Klaus pulls her towards him a little more so his body was pressed against hers.

"I am not being anything. I am only stating the truth." Klaus tells her as his lips hover over her ear. Cassandra only smiles lightly at him as she tilts her head to the side a little. "You are magnificent, my dear Cassandra." He whispers into her ear as he places a ghostly kiss on her skin. Cassandra closes her eyes for a moment as she feels his hands move across her body. "Your skin glows under the light of the moon." He says as his fingers trail over her thighs, making their eyes connect in the mirror. She gasps as his hands move closer to the edge of her corset. "Your eyes sparkle with pureness and desire. Your lips pull every man's eyes to you... Dying to be kissed." He says as his hand tilts her head so their lips were hovering over one another's. Cassandra kisses him deeply, her tongue entering his lips as a breathy moan escapes her. "Your body shimmers under everyone's gazes as your curves captivate their eyes." He adds as she tries to capture his lips once again. She is suddenly underneath him on their bed as his hand grips her thigh tightly, his body pressing against hers. "But I can do the one thing that they cannot." He finishes with a smirk playing on his lips. Cassandra returns it as her eyes gaze up into his.

"And what might that be?" She asks in a seductive manner as she bites her bottom lip. Klaus answers her by roughly connecting their lips, moving his hand into her corset. Cassandra wraps her legs around him as he grinds down against her. Pulling away, Klaus meets her eyes and she can see the obvious lust and passion in his eyes.

"Ravish you like the queen you are." He finally says before his lips leave open mouthed kisses down her neck. Cassandra grips his hair tightly as she could feel him taking off her corset. Her hands move down to his pants, unbuttoning them so she was able to pull them off.

"Nik..." She moans out as she squeezes her eyes shut. Cassandra tries to flip them by Klaus only holds her down, his strong grip keeping her body still. She would be lying if she said that him being all controlling wasn't a big turn on for her.

"Let me pleasure you today, darling."

WALKING INTO THE SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE WASN'T WHAT CASSANDRA WANTED TO BE DOING, but apparently Rose had come back and wanted to make amends with everyone over what she had done. Damon also said they needed to know more details about Klaus and who better to learn it from than his former lover.

Her and Rose never had a close friendship but they had hung out quite a few times which is one of the many reasons why Rose fled whenever Elijah was staked. She still thought of Cassandra as Klaus's girlfriend which wasn't the best title since it made everyone fear her. They didn't really fear her but since she was dating Klaus it was just something that happened.

Her heels catch the attention of the group who were sitting in the parlor. No one was surprised to see her except for Rose who's eyes widen at the sight of the raven-haired girl.

"You didn't tell me she was coming." Rose says, her voice shaky as she visibly gulps. Cassandra makes her way over to the other side of the couch away from where Elena was sitting.

"Well, I didn't know." Stefan admits as he eyes Damon who only shrugs his shoulders. It was a good idea to call her since Cassandra was really the only one who knew the real Klaus and the entire story, not just the rumours that Rose knew.

"I invited her. She probably knows more than you." Damon points out as he pours a glass of bourbon. Cassandra looks over at him for a second before her eyes land back on the short haired woman who was staring at her with terror in her eyes.

"Hello, Rose." Cassandra says as she reaches over to grab Damon's glass from him. He only glares at her as he watches her down his drink. Rose fiddles with her fingers as she meets the eyes of the older vampire, she didn't seem mad or anything, there wasn't even any emotion in her eyes.

"E-elijah spared me." She tells the girl who only raises an eyebrow. Cassandra places the glass down before she crosses her arms over her chest.

"And I am not under their control." Cassandra responds to her making Rose a little calmer in her presence. The three others look between them confused, their eyebrows furrowing.

"You two know each other?" Stefan questions as he flickers his eyes between the two women. Cassandra only smirks as she tilts her head at Rose.

"We go way back, don't we Rose?" Cassandra states as Rose raises her eyebrows at the girl. The girl nods as she crosses her arms against her chest, pressing her lips together tightly.

"Last time I saw you, you were glued to Klaus's side." She points out as she walks a little closer. Cassandra only shrugs as she avoids the gazes she was getting from the rest of the group.

"Well, a lot has changed since then." Cassandra admits as she picks at her nails. Elena furrows her eyebrows as she glances around at everyone, maybe she was the only one who didn't know who they were talking about. It seemed that Damon and Stefan already knew the name.

"Who's Klaus?" Elena asks them in a confused tone but Cassandra only flickers her eyes to the doppleganger for a second. She didn't feel like explaining her whole origin story so of course she was just going to let Rose explain for her.

"Look, I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. That's the problem with all this vampire crap. But Klaus I know is real. Cassie can back me up with what's actually real." Rose explains making the girl simply nod. Sure, she'd get the facts straight so they weren't thinking the totally wrong thing.

"He's real. Or else I screwed a ghost for almost two hundred years." She mutters with a scoff making Elena's eyes widen at the information. Again, the only one being surprised since she was kind of left out of the loop. Not that Cassandra cared at all.

"Who is he?" Elena questions with a sigh as she looks at Stefan for a moment. They had been at a bit of an odds for quite some time though. She didn't want to fight but it wasn't a situation they could just fix.

"He's a legend. One of the originals." Damon answers her as he leans against one of the chairs. Cassandra rolls her eyes a little, she wouldnt say Klaus is a legend. If they knew him the way she did, they wouldn't even be the tiniest bit afraid of him. Well, now she is because he will kill her with no remorse but when they were dating, he wasn't scary to her.

"One of the first generation of vampires." Stefan adds on making Elena nod her head a little, trying to understand what they were saying. Elijah was also older but she wasn't completely sure if he was also one of them.

"Like Elijah?" She asks with a raise of her eyebrows but Rose only sighs as she shakes her head. Cassandra now understood that maybe the woman didn't know as much about the originals as she thought.

"No, Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." Rose tells her making Cassandra sigh as she stands up. Gaining everyone's attention she shakes her head, debunking Rose's little theory.

"Well, I wouldn't say that anymore. Elijah and Klaus had a falling out. One of the many reasons why he hasn't turned me over." She states making everyone nod their heads. Stefan looks back over at Elena, pointing his finger a little.

"Klaus is known to be the oldest." He says making Cassandra groan as she shakes her head, scrunching up her nose a little. Damon rolls his eyes a little as he raises an eyebrow at the girl.

"Are you just going to debunk everything." He asks her in an annoyed tone but the girl only smiles tightly at him. Damon was the one who asked her to come over, if they don't want her help they can just think their facts are the truth.

"He's not the oldest but he is the most powerful." Cassandra tells them with a sigh as it seemed no one was actually listening to her. She could make them listen but she really didn't feel like it.

"Okay...so.. you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of the world is coming after me?" Elena questions with a small gasp making Cassandra roll her eyes. That girl really didn't listen to anything anyone that wasn't her two boys said.

"Yes." Rose says with a nod, raising her eyebrows as she looks at Stefan who decided to talk at the same time as she did.

"No."  He says trying to not let her freak out. This Klaus guy could be a figment of their imagination. Elena could be perfectly fine.

"What they're saying is.. I mean if what she says is true." Damon starts as he walks up to Rose who has her hands on her hips. She only raises an eyebrow as she glances over at him.

"Which it is." Rose tells him, slightly annoyed but Damon only gives her a sarcastic smile as he holds his hand out. Cassandra pours another glass of bourbon since god knows she needed it to survive with this bunch.

"And you're not just saying this so we don't kill you." He says in a sing song voice as he clicks his tongue. Rose shared an annoyed look with Cassandra who was ready to knock some sense into the two boys. Literally.

"Which I'm not." Rose states with a roll of her eyes as Damon turns his attention to Elena.

"Then we're looking at a solid maybe." He tells her with a sigh making Elena only stare at them scared. She didn't want to be captured or killed over this stupid little curse.

"It's a solid yes." Cassandra groans out, hating how no one seemed to be listening to her. It was pretty obvious that Klaus was real but they were just in denial because they didn't want their precious Elena being hurt. "He spent a long time looking for Katherine. And now a long time looking for you, Elena. He is going to find you eventually." She tells the girl who only squints her eyes a little. Elena trusted the girl but she couldn't help but think Cassandra was just playing them so she could hand her over to Klaus herself.

"And you're not going to give me over to him?" Elena accuses as she crosses her arms which only made Cassandra roll her eyes. Of course Elena would think like that and it took everything in her not to just wring her skinny little neck.

"I am not in his good graces." Cassandra simply replies as she drinks some of her alcohol. Elena only scoffs as she glares a little at the older vampire. They didn't truly know her, sure Damon and Stefan knew her back when they were human but it was probably all lies.

"Maybe you want to get back into it. How do you know him anyways?" She asks in a suspicious tone but Cassandra only gives her an annoyed expression. Her eyes flicker to Damon and Stefan who were only watching the scene unfold in front of them. Of course, they would never put poor Elena in her place.

"If I wanted to turn you over, I would've the second I saw you." She points out with a scowl on her lips. She couldve easily taken Elena bit she didn't, because she didn't want Klaus to get a hold of her. "Klaus and I were together, as I said before about me screwing him for almost two centuries." Cassandra bluntly states knowing Elena probably wasn't even listening to her now. Could the girl at least pay attention for at least two seconds?

"So, you guys were a couple?" Elena asks the dumbest question ever which made Cassandra internally face plant. This girl literally made her want to jump off a freakin cliff.

"No, we were siblings." She says sarcastically with a bored expression on her face. Elena knew the girl was trying to make her feel stupid but she just kept a neutral face.  "Of course we were a couple." Cassandra says as she was trying to think of any reason why she would have two brothers fawning over her. She really wasn't that special. "Look, nothing I do will get me back on Klaus's good side, but what I can do is keep him from breaking the curse." She tells the girl who nods a little but Cassandra could tell she still didn't trust her a lot.

"Look, Elijah's dead, right? So no one else even knows that you exist." Stefan points out with a sigh as his arms cross against his chest. Damon and Cassandra share a knowing look since she told him that wooden stakes don't exactly kill him.

"Elijah's not dead."  Damon states making all of their heads snap towards him. Stefan didn't understand though, they watched him die.

"Oops, we didn't tell them that a wooden stakes does not kill him." Cassandra says with a hiss as she scrunches up her nose a little. Stefan gives her a stern expression but it didn't stop her from laughing a tint bit.

"What? He's still alive?" Elena asks with shock clear in her tone, her eyes wide as she thought Elijah was out of their lives. Now he was probably going to come back and try to take her again.

"Oh, most definitely." Cassandra says with a smirk as she thinks back to her little rendezvous with Elijah.. that didn't exactly end the way she had hoped.

"She broke his little heart." He tells them with a snort, running his hand through his hair. Cassandra only squints her eyes at him before grabbing a pillow to throw. Damon easily dodges it as he chuckles at the girl.

"That is the last time I tell you anything." Cassandra groans but Damon just keeps smirking at her. He actually liked their talk and if she didn't betray them, he could picture them actually becoming close friends.

"Woah, you and Elijah?" Elena gasps, her eyes widening at the sudden news. Stefan was even a bit shocked at the revelation as was Rose. She didn't care for their judgement though.

"No." Cassandra immediately shuts it down as she didn't want people thinking that her and Elijah were actually together. Wouldn't want that getting back to Klaus, not that she even cared what he thought of her anymore.

"Yes." Damon says at the same time causing the girl to bluntly stare at him, silently telling him to shut the hell up. Of course he would tease her now about the complicated relationship with Elijah.

"There is no me and Elijah. We're friends." Cassandra admits with a smirk playing on her lips. Damon grimaces at this but it seemed he was the only one who understood, mainly because she told him what Elijah said which ultimately led to the Salvatore putting two and two together. But the rest were only staring at her with confused expressions on their faces. She rolls her eyes as she licks her lips a little. "We're just the occasional fuck buddy." She says in a language they could understand instantly earning disgusted expressions from them. Damon only chuckles as he drinks his alcohol, having already known this. "Well, until i--" Cassandra starts to state the obvious but of course Damon had to swoop in because he wanted to be his irritating self that always seemed to know how to get under her skin.

"Broke his little heart." Damon says bluntly with a tight smirk on his lips. Cassandra gives him an annoyed expression, regretting ever opening up to him about her love life. It's not like she purposely did it. She didn't even know Elijah loved her until yesterday, she never meant to ever hurt him.

"How was I supposed to know that he's been in love with me for the past seven centuries." Cassandra asks with a groan as she raises her eyebrows at Damon who only shrugs, his smirk still playing on his lips.

"You open your eyes, woman." He tells her with a laugh but Cassandra only rolls her eyes playfully. Elena flickers her eyes between them, her jaw clenching a little as she noticed the way Damon was checking her out. Why did Cassandra have to get everyone? She was a slut, next thing she is gonna be told is that Cassandra slept with Stefan. Which Stefan would never do.

"Klaus is real. And he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus then you're an idiot. I mean, Cassie is afraid of him and she's much older than all of us." Rose points out as she raises her eyebrows at the group. Elena glances towards the raven haired girl with a confused expression on her face.

"If you two were together, why does he hate you?" She asks with a frown although she didn't feel bad about what Cassandra did to klaus one bit since he was planning to kill her.

"Because I saved Katherine. Can we move on from this?" She asks in a bored tone as she rolls her eyes a little. Cassandra walks to the alcohol, needing a little bit more to drown out Elena.

"So you turned her?" Elena asks with furrowed eyebrows, wondering if Cassandra was the reason for Katherine being the selfish vampire she is.

"Nope. That wasn't me. She has an eternal debt to me though which I am always loving." Cassandra smirks as she laughs a little, her eyes flickering to Rose for a second since they both knew who really turned Katherine. Or at least have their blood. "But yeah, I'm afraid of him. Klaus is ruthless. He will stop at nothing, killing everyone you love in the path to get to you."  She explains as she clicks her tongue, kicking the ground a little as she was getting bored with the conversation.

"I don't know if it's true... But I heard some rumours that Klaus is using all the witches he can find to track you down." Rose informs her but Cassandra only sighs, rubbing her head a little bit. Damon glances at the girl, wondering if that was why the girl got all those headaches all of a sudden.

"I know. He's trying to force his way into my head." She grumbles as she takes a sip of her drink. Rose frowns as she steps a little closer to the girl. Klaus really cared for the girl, that she knew to be true. But of course Cassandra would be in denial about it.

"He doesn't want to kill you, Cassandra. He thinks that if he finds you, you will fall back into his grasp and be his again." She explains to he girl who only clenches her jaw thinking of the lie Rose was trying to tell her.

"Like you said, a rumour. Klaus wants me dead." Cassandra says with a scoff as she crosses her arms, not believing for one second that Klaus actually wanted her back.

"But he is in love--" Rose begins to tell her but Cassandra instantly cuts her off. Klaus did not care for her anymore, no matter what ever rumours the short haired girl was hearing.

"Was, Rose. Not anymore. Trust me, im as good as dead now." She mutters as she picks at her nails. Elena sighs as she gets up from her seat, grabbing her bag to put over her shoulder. As she is walking out, Stefan furrows his eyebrows as he moves to stop her.

"Where are you going?" He asks her in a confused tone as she only sighs, stopping in her spot to glance at him.

"School. Im late." Elena lies as she tries to keep a straight face. The truth was she was going to see Katherine. She knew she could just ask Cassandra but she wanted to hear her dopplegangers side.

"Let me grab my stuff, I'll go with you." Stefan says as he goes to move but Elena only shakes her head, not wanting him to come with her. Mainly because she wasn't actually going to school but also since she didn't really want to be around him.

"That's okay. I know where it is." Elena says with a tight smile before heading out. Stefan watches after her with a frown on his face. Damon slowly moves over to Rose, a small smirk on his face.

"She's in denial." He whispers to the vampire, only earning a glare from his brother.

"Shut up, Damon." Stefan snaps at his brother in annoyance before walking off, pissed off. Cassandra didn't know what was happening with the couple but frankly she didn't care. All she cared was that Elena stayed alive and didn't try and get herself killed because Cassandra has had enough of saving her ass every ten seconds. It's like the girl is just getting herself in these situations for attention which would surprise her in the slightest.

Elena had the Petrova charm and had Damon and Stefan roped in. Cassandra just hoped the girl had some decency to either let them both go or to stop playing with their feelings because if she didn't.. she would be left with no one and that would be her own damn fault.

β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’Β°β€’

SHE HAD JUST BEEN SITTING ON HER COUCH FOR THE PAST HALF HOUR, her mind stuck on Klaus since they had been talking about him a couple hours ago. It had brought up old memories that she didn't want to remember. If she did, then she would also remember that she still had deep feelings for the man.

Part of her hoped that what Rose heard was true. That he was still in love with her. Maybe he didn't want to kill her and she just let her mind think that. But she wasn't about to go looking for him to find out. That would be signing her own death sentence if he really did want to rip out of her heart. But it didn't stop the glimmer of hope that flickered in her at the idea that Klaus may still want to be with her. Even after her betrayal.

But it wasn't as simple now. Even if he did explain himself for the things he said. Even if she did forgive him eventually. She couldn't deny the feelings that were growing for Elijah. It was now a situation where if it came down to it, she would have to choose between them and she couldn't. She didn't want to lose either of them and she never wanted to hurt either of their feelings.

Her fingers trail the edges of the wrinkled piece of paper that she held in her hand. It was a painting of her. A painting that Klaus drew. She didn't know why she has kept it all of these years but she didn't want to let it go, even if Klaus did want to kill her. For some reason, it helped her keep going. It helped her not give up or turn her emotions off.

A single tear drops from her eyes as she remembers how simple life used to be. How happy she used to be with him. Some part of her wanted that back. Wanted to be in his arms once again, hearing the soft promises he made in her ear.

CASSANDRA OPENS HER EYES, her eyebrows furrowing when she notices that the place beside her on bed is empty. It wasn't a rare occurrence for her to wake up to Klaus being gone but she just hoped some days he would stay with her. Luckily, today was one of those days. Her eyes flicker to the movement that she noticed out of the corner of her eye only to see her boyfriend painting in his favorite chair.

She smiles a little as she tilts her head, admiring the way he looked in the morning sunshine. He was perfect to her. An absolute angel. That's what she saw in him anyways because she never really saw the devil everyone would always call him. But she didn't let anyone taint the person she truly saw. The person he truly was. "What are you doing?" She questions, startling the man a little as he was so caught up in his artwork. He lets a smile form on his lips though as he glances over at his love.

"Stay still, love. You'll ruin it." Klaus tells her as his eyes flicker back down to what he was doing. Cassandra only giggles though but does as he says, resting her head back against the pillow. A couple seconds of silence go by before she lifts her head again, squinting her eyes a little.

"Are you painting me?" She questions as she gets up from her spot, ignoring the sigh Klaus gave her because he wanted to finish his painting before he had to leave. Cassandra only walks over to him, moving the piece of art away from his hands so she was able to sit in his lap.

"It will be the most exquisite painting hung in this place." Klaus states as he places his paint brush down in order to keep her steady. Cassandra only raises an eyebrow at him as her hand brushes the stray hairs away from his eyes.

"Is this what we are going to do for all of eternity? Make love so you can paint me afterwards." She teases as she licks her lips, her eyes moving over his facial features. Klaus didn't see what else he could ever possibly want. To him, Cassandra was the only thing that he needed to be happy.

"It is everything that I could possibly want." He admits as he plants a soft kiss onto her lips. She only glances down though, a frown taking over her face as she knew that what he was saying wasn't the entire truth. Cassandra wasn't an idiot. She knew Klaus was desperate to become a hybrid but he kept trying to tell her that she was all he ever needed.

"What about your curse?" She asks lowly as she fiddles with her fingers, not hiding the obvious hurt in her eyes. Klaus sighs as he rubs her thigh, resting his forehead against hers. Yes, the curse was very important to him but if he had to choose between the two, he wouldn't hesitate to choose the love of his life. Most people would be surprised by that or think he was lying but it was true, and he didn't care if anyone believed him or not.

"You are more important than it. I will continue to search but nothing comes before you." He assures her as he can see the light come back into her eyes. All she wanted was to be truly loved, for someone to want to be with her till the end of time. She found that in Niklaus. And she was the happiest she could ever be.

"You are my entire world, Nik." Cassandra tells him with love in her eyes as she brushes her hand over his cheek. Klaus smiles at her as he couldn't believe that someone like her actually fell for him since no one in his life seemed to actually care for him. If they did, like Elijah and Rebekah, he couldn't be certain they would stick by him. "I love you." She says softly as she moves closer to him in his lap which seemed almost impossible.

"I love you more, my love." Klaus replies to her with clear admiration in his eyes. He didn't want to think of her with anyone else other than him. They were meant to be together. If anyone ever tried to come between them, he would end their life. Elijah was pretty close to his girl but it was clear in his eyes that Cassandra only thought of him as a really close friend. For Elijah though, Klaus could tell that his brother had developed feelings. He wasn't blind but he also knew that Elijah wouldn't dare try and take Cassandra away from him so he was no threat.

"Promise me we will be together forever." Cassandra says as she glances at him, a bit of worry in her eyes as there was always a small part of her that thought he would just leave her because she wasn't enough for him.

"I promise." He tells her, connecting their lips in a small kiss. Cassandra smiles up at him, happy with his answer. "We will be together till the end of time." Klaus assures her with a smile as he gazes down at her but she only frowns, her eyes filling with sorrow as she thinks about how easy it was for her to die.

"But I am not immortal. I can die." She points out, tears filling her eyes as she couldn't imagine ever leaving him alone. Cassandra never wanted to think of what he would feel if she were ever to die.

"You will never be harmed. You are in my protection." Klaus states as he didn't want her to worry. If anyone ever tried to hurt one hair on her head, which many have already, he was sure to send them to their own personal hell.

"I guess that makes me immortal." Cassandra says with a faint smile as it did make her feel better that he would never let anythjng bad happen to her.

"I guess it does." Klaus chuckles a little as they connect their lips again before her head turns towards the artwork he had recently put to the side.

"Can I see?" She asks as she reaches for the painting but Klaus only hits her hand lightly causing her to pout. He only chuckles as he shakes his head, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Not until it is done." He tells her as he moves his painting further away so she couldn't look at it. Cassandra let's out a sigh, almost sounding like a child who didn't get it's way which was what she was acting like at the moment.

"Just a peak." She pleads as she batts her eyelashes, giving her best puppy dog eyes but Klaus only smirks at her which she immediately knew meant she was not getting her way.

"Back on the bed." Klaus says as he taps her butt, lifting her off of his lap. Cassandra only stays where she is though, crossing her arms as she stares down at him.

"I will only go back if you come with me." Cassandra answers him with a firm nod which causes Klaus to raise his eyebrows in amusement. He licks his lips before rubbing his mouth, his eyes roaming her half naked body for a minute.

"Let me finish here first, then I will join you." Klaus assures her as he goes to continue his painting but he only notices the girl giving him pleading eyes. After a minute he huffs, getting up from his seat which makes her let out a happy sound as she rushes back to the bed to get into it.

Laying next to Cassandra, Klaus pulls her into him as his arms wrap around her tightly. She rests her head on his chest as his soft breaths make it go up and down. He gives her a kiss on the top of her head as his fingers rub her back.

"Nik." She says softly to catch his attention. Klaus glances down at her with curiousity in his eyes. "I can't imagine my life without you in it." She admits with a frown, not wanting to think of any scenario where he wasn't with her. If they were ever to be apart of if there were a weapon that could kill him, she wouldn't be able to survive.

"Well it is a good thing you will never have to." Klaus tells her with a smile on his lips as he holds her closer. Cassandra closes her eyes, taking in the moment as she couldn't feel happier than she was. He was her one true love. Her soulmate. Her happily ever after.

Of course she would think they had forever because that's what being immortal meant, right? Being together forever. But sometimes life didn't go the way you wanted. Sometimes everything you could ever ask for can turn into something that you never anticipated. It could breed eternal misery not eternal happiness.
