1: He Was A Skater Boy

"He was a skater boy, she said see you later boy. He wasn't good enough for her." ~ Avril Lavigne

3rd Person's POV

Peter stands near the schools news bulletin board, putting up his photo of the debate team. Just as he's doing this, he gets hit in the head with a basketball thrown by the school bully, Flash Thompson. The tall blonde stands with his groupies who all laugh.

"Good morning Flash..." Peter replies awkwardly.

They walk past and Flash bucks at Peter before finally disappearing down the hallway. Peter sighs and finishes putting up all the school photos he had taken earlier last week. When he's done he walks down the school hallway he gets approached by a student.

"Hey, it's uh... Peter, right?"

Peter looks at the brunette girl. Her name was Mandy and she was on the cheer team, so he had no idea why she was talking to him. Well unless it was for him to do her homework.

"Mmhmm."

Mandy smiles, "I really like your photo's."

Peter nods, "Oh, thanks."

Mandy looks back at her friends then moves in closer to Peter, "Uh... listen, are you busy Friday night?"

"Uh..." Peter looks speechless then shakes his head.

Mandy squeals and claps her hands together, "Cool! Uh... can you take pictures of my boyfriend's car. I just, you know, I really wanna frame a good one for his Birthday."

Peter frowns slightly but quickly smiles again awkwardly, "That's really nice of you. Wow, that's such a nice thought. Um...yeah, I'll have a look at the old uh... the old schedule."

He should've known no girl like her would ever be interested in a guy like him.

Mandy smiles widely, "Okay."

She turns back to her friends letting him know the conversation was now over. He chuckles inwardly and drops his skateboard. Stepping on it he glides down the hallway but is stopped by a teacher stepping out of their classroom.

"Parker!"

Peter quickly jumps off the board and holds it by his leg, "Yes sir?"

"You wanna keep that skateboard?"

"Uh yeah..."

"Keep it off the ground."

Peter holds the skateboard up in his hand and starts to slowly walk away.

"Wheels up." The teacher goes back in his room as Peter holds the board over his head.

As soon as the teacher is out of sight, Peter turns the corner, drops his skateboard, and skates down the hallway once again.

As he gets to his locker he sees a couple making out intensely exactly where he needed to be. He groans for a second looking at the two as the switch positions. Sighing he somehow opens his locker yet still struggles against the guy leaning against the door. Peter quickly grabs his books and moves away as his locker slams closed.

As he turns around and walks towards his first period, he glances over to the left side of the hallway and sees a beautiful girl walking. As if they were in slow motion, Peter's eyes scan her glowing face. High yet soft cheekbones. Heart shaped face with slight dimples that popped out even more when she smiled. Just as the girl looks over at Peter, he runs into an open locker.

Peter groans as he holds his face. The person behind the locker grimaces and says sorry as Peter waves him off.

"My fault..."

Peter quickly turns around hoping the girl hadn't seen. And to his luck she was gone. He sighs in relief and continues on his face, still rubbing his aching face.

...

Later around lunch time, the same girl from the hallway stands by a circle table outside looking around at all the students. A brunette with gleaming grey eyes looks away from her fruit salad and stares at the light skinned girl.

"Who are you looking for?"

A tray slams down on the lunch table making the brunette jump slightly. The blonde tall guy laughs as he sits down beside her. She glares at him then shakes her head as she sees his small dimples appearing.

"Who do you think she's looking for?"

The light skinned girl holds up her middle finger behind her back as she continues to scan the area. The guy laughs loudly as a platinum blonde girl with bright blue eyes sits down across from them.

The three of the friends all sit and watch as the light skinned girl quickly walks away. They see Peter Parker taking a picture of Gwen Stacy as she sits alone at her lunch table. Within seconds their friend had made her way to him. She stands in front of his camera and smiles. They watch as he grins widely and playfully pushes the girl.

The platinum blonde sighs angrily as she shoves her fork into her mashed potatoes, "Honestly if she's getting friendzoned right now, there's no way in hell any of us have a chance!! I mean look at her!"

The three glance over at their friend as she laughs at something Peter says. Her skin gleamed in the sun as her white teeth shimmered. Her black shiny hair flowed in the wind behind her back. Her face had light freckles scattered all over. Even with dark brown eyes she managed to make them appear as if they were bright honey when she smiled. She literally looked like a model.

The three sigh and dig into their lunches.

...

Peter quickly drops his camera down as a girl comes into view of his focal point.

"Spying on girls again are we Peter?"

Peter chuckles and fluffs his hair slightly with one hand, "It's not what it looks like..."

The girl smiles and shakes her head, "Are we really going to use that excuse every time I catch you pointing that machine at Gwen?"

Peter feels his face flush slightly as he playfully pushes her, "Do we really have to go through this every time you catch me?"

The girl throws her head back and laughs. Two guys walk by and stare then look at Peter and glare slightly. He holds his hands up as if saying everything was all good and he wasn't trying to ask out the poor girl. One guy tries to look at her behind but Peter quickly grabs the girls arms and switches places with her.

"What the-"

"Sorry just saved you from a few pervs."

The girl looks at the two guys who now look embarrassed. They make their way through the courtyard and away from her and Peter as fast as they can. The girl stares at Peter with a smirk.

"Aww my hero."

Peter groans in annoyance as the girl grabs his cheek and pinches it, "Ror can you not... Rory come on... people are watching..."

The girl smiles widely and bounces back and forth from on her heels to her tip toes, "Let them watch Parker. I'm not afraid."

"Mila Rory you're a mess." Peter laughs as he watches her.

"Not the first time I've heard that Parker."

Just as Peter opens his mouth to reply he hears a crowd of people chanting. He holds up a finger to Mila as if saying one second and makes his way over to the crowd. Pushing his way through he sees Flash bullying another kid. He holds the kid's body in the air while shoving his face in his food. Everyone chants for the kid to eat the food... no one helps.

Flash glances up and sees Peter standing with his camera in his hand, "Hey, Parker, come on! Get a picture of this, come on."

Peter shakes his head, "I'm not gonna take a picture of this. Put him down, man. Just put him down."

He looks at the kid, "Don't eat it. You don't have to."

Flash grows angry as everyone watches silently, "Take the picture, Parker!"

Peter shakes his head again saying awkwardly, "Put him down, Flash."

"Take a picture."

"Put him down... Eugene!"

Peter groans inwardly already knowing what's coming as the other students laugh. Flash drops the kid and suddenly punches Peter.

"Get up! Come on! Come on!"

Flash kicks Peter in the stomach and Peter doubles up in pain.

Peter smiles lightly, "I'm still not taking the picture."

"Stay down, Parker!"

Flash turns to the crowd of students and starts shouting, "Who wants one more! Huh? Huh?"

Gwen who was sitting on her own walks over and calmly intervenes.

"Flash! Are we still on for after school today? My house, three thirty? I hope you've been doing your homework. Last time I was very disappointed in you."

Flash waves his hand disregarding what she says. He was too livid right now to listen to a word she had to say.

"Flash let's just go to class."

Flash chuckles and shakes his head, "Oh no Parker's gonna get it."

He freezes as Gwen stands in between him and Peter who was still catching his breath on the ground.

"Okay, listen..."

"Hey Flash!"

Flash turns around and sees Mila standing nearby holding her books.

"Walk me to class... now."

Flash glares at Peter then makes his way over to Mila. He grabs Mila's books out her grasp then holds onto her hand. Mila looks over at shoulder sadly. She makes eye contact with Peter who nods a thank you then she nods back.

Peter watches as Mila disappears with Flash then sighs. He looks at Gwen who was walking away but looking back every once and a while checking on him. As the bell rings, Peter tries to collect his belongs before everyone tramples him. Holding upΒ  his camera, which is now broken, he lets out a harsh breath and shakes his head.

Later in class, after the Flash bullying incident he notices Gwen looking at him.

Gwen smiles lightly, "I thought that was great, what you did back there. It was stupid, but it was great. You should probably go to the nurse, you might have a concussion... What's your name?"

Peter looks behind him to make sure Gwen was actually talking to him then lols back at her, "You don't know my name?"

Gwen chuckles, "No, I know your name. I just wanna know if you know your name."

"Peter... Parker," Peter clears his throat hoping it wouldn't crack again but he was so nervous, "Peter Parker."

"Okay, good, " She smiles and turns her face from Peter, Peter gives a longing look, "I'd still go to the nurse though."

Peter nods and points at her, "You're Gwen, right?"

"Gwen Stacy." Gwen grins and turns back to the teacher.

Peter definitely knew her name. He had a crush on Gwen since he was in 9th grade. He hoped it didn't seem too obvious but he was feeling over the moon that she had even said a word to him. He would forever remover this day.
