'So you know that cute new bakery that opened up down the street? I was thinking we could go after school?' Sam asked eating small bites of strawberry yogurt in between.
'What has been up with you today?' He puts down the yogurt leaning over to Colby laying his hand on his thigh, trying to snap him out of this haze. Ever since this morning when they were getting ready for classes Colby has been distant, completely out of it.

'Nothing, nope all good, why would you think differently? Are you? Good that is, are you okay?'
Sam's eyebrows furrow, Colby definitely doesn't look good, his eyes are bloodshot and he seems all nervous.

'Yeah I'm okay...' He responds in a whisper.

'Okay, yeah that's good, you know I'm always here for you, if you ever need to talk I'm right here, always.'

'You're starting to worry me now... Do you want me to drive you home? You look like you need sleep, a lot of it," Sam mumbles looking the brunette up and down.

'Sorry, yeah I'm being weird, just over thinking. Let's just drop this?' Sam nods wanting nothing more.

'So... the bakery?'

'Yeah sounds amazing,' Colby smiles his mind relaxing for the first time today.
