Everyone went silent.

An old form of Garnet was formed right before their eyes, made everyone's jaw was hung open so widely and eyes went huge.

Slowly, Garnet opened her eyes and looked to her surroundings before looking to her weirdly clothing, confused, she began to panic to who she was.

Steven didn't think any of it, he just ran to Garnet, ready to embrace her tightly.

"Garnet! Garnet! You're back!" Steven went and tried to hug Garnet but she awkwardly backed off from Steven, let him fell onto his face. Steven shrugged the pain and happily stood up, faced Garnet once again. "Thank goodness it's you"

Garnet looked at Steven, grew more confused than before.

"W-W-What's going on?" she asked but Steven ignored the question.

"Everyone's memories are wiped, and my powers are all messed up. We need your help! What should we do, Garnet?" Steven panickly explained to Garnet.

Garnet grew confused as to why a strange creature was talking to her like he had known her for her entire life, yet she couldn't even remember who she was.

Garnet furrowed her eyebrows deeply, looked at Steven with a confused expression.

"I'm sorry, but do you know me?" Garnet questioned, held her hands deep into her chest.

Steven and the others gave Garnet a sad look to she still doesn't remember who she was yet, but only Spinel who gave a bright aura around.

Spinel came to Steven and wrapped her arm around his neck, gave a huge awkward smile to Garnet before snapped her fingers together.

"Good question," she said.

Steven sighed in disappointment, turned back to face his friends before spoke.

You approached Steven and grabbed one of his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze which you could feel the same squeeze by Steven.

"Her memories aren't back. I guess fusion was only the first piece" Steven said lowly, informed to the others.

Slowly, you slipped your fingers into his, intertwined both of your hand into his, giving it another assuring squeeze as you pulled his hand and planted a kiss onto his forehand, just a soft smooch.

Steven's head immediately turned to you, cheeks burnt red as his words were stuck down his throat, heart felt like bursting out when you did that.

Everyone's eyes actually went wide open at your sudden actually, looked at you who shyly put Steven's hand back to his side as your face slowly burning rosy red, didn't expect yourself to put yourself together to do that.

You looked at Steven's brown eyes, mesmerizing it before gave him a shy smile.

"We can do this, Steven" you assured him. "Together"

Steven was still shocked by your action earlier, made his face went all red to the sudden action of yours, even everyone around the both of you was shocked to your action, you set your lips on Steven's soft hand seriously shocking, to the few months you were living in the Beach City, they haven't known that you could just kiss anyone's hand, especially when you a very shy type of girl.

Steven looked at you, no, starred at you for the longest time, slowly made you wonder to why he was staring you down with such huge and wide eyes and crimson face flushed, when you turned around, everyone was having the same reaction of Steven's except the blushes were darker of their skin colours.

"D-Did I do something wrong?" you asked softly but loud enough to let everyone hears you.

Almost immediately, they snapped out of their embarrassment and shook off their heads and concentrated on you once more.

"Y-Yeah! Together!" Steven blurted out, pointed his index finger to the sky which made his face exploded with red. 

You looked at Steven in a confused state to his sudden stutter and burst.

"Huh?" you blurted out.

"Nothing! Nevermind!" Steven shouted, panicked crawled all over his figure as sweats trickled downwards.

But thanks to luck, everyone's attention turned to Greg's van that had just happened to be arriving into the awkward situation, made Steven relieved internally to his dad saved him from the burst of embarrassment.

The vehicle slowly parked up near the group as the door opened and revealed the still unrecovered Pearl walked to the back of the van, seeing she was carrying up short white stairs and a short red carpet with her, setting them in front and under the van, she summoned a trumpet and blew to it, let some classic tune out of it.

"Attention, everyone. "Um, Greg Universe" has arrived" Pearl announced loudly, opened the door before bowed.

But the bow was ignored by Greg as he rushed to the son of his who was still holding your hand dearly, clearly forgot about it for a moment when he saw his dad's face was filled with panic and fear.

"Steven! Oh! Have you seen Amethyst?" Greg asked.

Steven's eyes went wide at the news.

"What? I told you to watch her!" Steven barked at his father.

You flinched beside Steven at the sudden outburst, craved your hand to his shoulder, tried to calm him down which seem to be working, patting his shoulder softly as to assure him that Amethyst was fine and still in a good health.

"She must have wandered off while I was wrestling my laundry out of Pearl's hands" Greg confessed, scratched the back of his head in distress. A squeaky sound was heard from the van, made Greg turned towards it and saw that Pearl was rubbing clean the tyre using a yellow sponge in a circular motion. Greg's eyes went wide. "Pearl! You don't have to do that. I own a car wash!" Greg told before rushing over to Pearl, leaving you, Steven and the others behind.

Steven was silent for a moment, thinking of what he should be doing for the problem, and when his mind clicked an idea, he turned to Bismuth with a very serious face plastered on his face, let go of your hand in the process.

You stood in silent, brought the hand to your view, felt that the warm of Steven's left the palm of yours quickly which you missed instantly, a sudden of feeling were felt in your stomach but it was different, it wasn't the feeling of you wanting to puke or vomit again and it was different, you actually secretly liked it, something bloomed inside of your stomach and it wasn't bad.

Recalling of Steven's hand matched perfectly into yours made your cheeks suddenly grew hot, hotter and hotter each second, the unfamiliar freaked you out, did you somehow caught a fever or flu? Because it wasn't the best time to be healing.

Your thoughts immediately were interrupted with Steven's rough voice which you actually never noticed until now.

"I need to go find Amethyst. Can you watch Garnet?" Steven asked Bismuth.

"Yeah, sure" Bismuth agreed while nodding her head. "But it looks like she's doing a pretty good job watching herself" Bismuth pointed out, used her thumb backwards and showed the old Garnet was checking herself out.

You giggled at the answer of Bismuth, found it cute that Garnet was all from badass to innocent in just a minute, but nevertheless, you needed to get her back no matter what.

"Thanks!" Steven thanked Bismuth before turned to you once more. Your face heated up even more for an unknown reason of yourself, tried so hard to shrug off the feeling but it seems to be impossible. "(Y/N), I need you to come with me"

You froze.

"H-Huh? Why?" you asked, face burnt further.

Steven seems to be oblivious of your flushed face and continue to speak.

"I just need you to always be beside me, I can't risk having you hurt" Steven stated.

You were internally over-thrilled of hearing those words from Steven's own mouth which still unknown to you to what blossoming feeling you were feeling at the time but eventually you managed to shrug it off.

As an answer, you smile softly and nodded your head, seeing that Steven's face lightened up by your answer made you figured you chose the right one.

Steven grabbed your hand softly, dragged you to the Beach City to find the missing purple gem but suddenly, your free arm was all wrapped with pink noodle arm belonged to Spinel, stopped in your track which Steven followed, turned around to see Spinel caught up with the two of you and Steven.

Steven's face instantly turned dark of the sudden presence of Spinel, not wanting him to be third-wheeling as he wanted to find Amethyst only with you, probably will have some more romantic moments if Spinel wasn't really joining the duo.

"Don't forget your best friend, Spinel!" Spinel cheered loudly, loosen her noodle arm from yours and intertwined her hand with yours, which you accepted.

You smiled at Spinel, glad that she could join since you wouldn't want to be awkward and all bashful around Steven, probably will make him worry sick of your weirdly behaviour and told you to rest up.

Steven in otherwise was pissed at Spinel for gladly making him the third-wheel in the adventure, gripped your hand tighter, he sighed before he spoke to Spinel.

"Hey, Spinel. Maybe you should stay back with the others, that will cause us less trouble to find Amethyst" Steven spoke, highlighted the word 'less'.

Steven pulled you to him and away from Spinel, but her hand was glued into yours, as Spinel's facial suddenly turned dark, eyebrows furrowed in madness, teeth sharpened.

"No!" Spinel growled deeply.

You flinched at the bark but kept yourself calmed since you don't want to make a scene, not when there was a friend of yours went missing.

You turned to Steven and grinned.

"Come on, Steven. It wouldn't hurt for her to come. The more the merrier, right?" you informed.

Steven stared at you, long enough to try to convince of changing your mind of ringing Spinel along, but when Steven found you wasn't caved in, he sighed and nodded which you and Spinel squealed into, but your squeal was soft and low.

You turned your head to Spinel, proudly showed her a bright smile of yours which she returned the same.

"This will be so much fun, Spinel!" you cheered softly as Steven continued to lead you and Spinel onto lion, Steven had to lift you up by the waists since you seem to be having climbing lion.
