Steven and his father went up to the stage, taking the next turn on a duet, both males grabbed their instruments and slung the black belt around their shoulders and tightened the rope into a more suitable and comfortable way to set the guitars.

Through the crowds, your eyes shined bright due to overwhelming excitement, not to mention that it was your very first day being in a concert, your very best friend will be making a performance too!

Steven, who was on stage, took a very deep breath while clothing both of his fists.

"Come on, powers. Work with me here" Steven whispered to himself, clothing his fist tighter as his eyes were shut tight.

Steven exhaled slowly, turned his gaze to his father who did the same as his son, giving each other a knowing nod, both of them pluck a string and continued to the next one and so on; as they had just started playing their guitars, the crowds roared their cheers and claps were heard, part of the claps had you in it as you can't actually scream your cheers very loudly due to your soft voice.

As the performance had started, the blood-related males skipped their ways backwards, bumped their backs onto each other as they glared into each other's eyes, a tint of courage and determine could be spotted inside of their eyes.

The stage's effects did it work, letting some explosions and smoke to make it more interesting, both males began to glow which made the whole crowd gasped, including you.

A cloud of smoke blurred and covered the crowd's visions to see what was happening between both father and son, but the smokes were pretty thick, they couldn't see anything through; but slowly, the smokes dispersed into separated ways of winds and unhurriedly revealed a fusion of Steven and Greg itself.

The crowd gasket again, but this time, it was more into surprised.

You, who was among the crowds too, gasped; a hand made its way to your mouth, covered them.

A sudden tall man, curly brown hair, four muscly arms sticks out, had Steven's shirt onto his ginormous body that it ripped through the fabric and the jeans perfectly fit his thighs, suddenly began playing the guitar, continuing the rhythm of the song while rocking his hips too.

"Um Greg?" you heard Pearl shouted in worry, you couldn't really blame her, you would be worried too.

Spinel who had her eyes on the stage soon join Pearl, her eyes were as wide as Homeworld as her voice was still squicky and joyful to hear.

"Steven?" Spinel yelled after.

You didn't speak, you couldn't, you just could stare admirably at the new fusion you had known; you never really had seen any other fusions right in front of your eyes -aside from Garnet- instead of confusion and shocked, your eyes held sparkles at the new merged form of Steven and Greg.

"It's a big, old universe out there. And when you're getting crushed under the weight of the stars..." Steg started, his voice echoed inside of the sudden silent warehouse.

Steg threw his jacket to you and winked at you, you just smiled uncomfortably, a bit awkward to the fusion in front of you.

"Wha- Where-" Pearl panicked.

"Well, sometimes, you need that special someone to remind you that you're so much more," Steg said, pointing to Pearl before winking at her.

"Wha..." Pearl blurted out, confused.

The new fusion, Steg, began to strumming his double-headed guitar using his pick, sudden energy came from the power, created fogs to cover the ground which managed to push Buck away from the stage and onto the ground harshly; Steg smirked, looked to the crowds and began to sing.

"Nothing's holding you back now
No one can push you around
What do you wanna do?"

Steg used his power to lift up Pearl, surrounding her with pink glows, she began to float off her feet, her eyes widened and jaw hung open, her blue orbs wander to the ground that looked further and further away.

"You're the master of you,
And isn't the thought enough to lift you off of the ground?"

As Pearl nearing the fusion, Steg still held the smirk on his face, reaching out to Pearl before spun her for a few times and threw her into the sky which Pearl was awed by the beautiful night scenery, Pearl's eyes sparkled with her two blue orbs, she felt so wondered.

Pearl reached out both of her hands and looked at it, her eyes wandered to it with lips slowly chanting lyrics which she automatically recites.

"Nothing is holding me back now
No one can push me around"

Pearl slowly landed onto the ground, her lips twitched in a bright smile with Steg beside her, still strumming the double head guitar.

"What do I wanna be?
I'm the master of me
And isn't the thought enough to lift me off of the ground?"

Pearl clenched her fusts, straightened her post as Amethyst hopped on to the stage with Steg and Pearl, smiling hugely, Pearl slowly gained back her independence and sang along the lyrics through her parted lips.

Amethyst smiled widely at the sight of Pearl, she was actually happy that Pearl had returned to her original self and not some kind of servant to anyone, especially to Greg.

Again, Steg strummed once which revealed the three of them to be floating through his power, pink glows surrounding the three of them but only Pearl and Amethyst flew to the night starry sky.

"We could be independent together!
Independent together, we can fly!
Independent together,
Independent together!
Independent together, you and I!"

Spinel, Garnet and you watched in awe, your eyes sparkled at the sight of Pearl glowing and returned back to her old form, the jacket and blue pants that hugged tightly on her legs had returned, which Pearl smiled at the sight.

Amethyst beside her smiled at her and Pearl returned the joyful smile, Amethyst grabbed her hand in hers and danced in the mid-air which Pearl followed suit.

From below, your eyes still held sparkles while looking at the two favourite Gems of yours, it was amazing that you couldn't even tear your eyes away from them; Steg who had still singing looked at you who still starting at the soy in awe, which Steg - Steven - blushed and chuckled at your cuteness.

"High above an endless sea,
No one brought us here but me
Every step and every choice,
It's my fault, it's my thought, it's my words, it's my voice!"

Pearl and Amethyst circled around in the air, eyes shut closed while dancing to the rhythm of Steg's guitar, feet lingered around and circled around each other; slowly, they both dived down to meet the ground with their heads, which you gasped at the sight of them falling down, but soon was blinded by a very bright white glow shone in the warehouse.

You covered your eyes for safety, you didn't actually plan to get blind at the age of 16, and not on your first concert too; slowly, you removed your hands away from your eyes and looked in awe at the fusion of Amethyst and Pearl, Opal.

Opal stood elegantly on the stage, a guitar in hand as her eyes were closed when the song came in from the distraction early.

"Independent together,
Independent together, if we try!"

Lion came beside you and Garnet, crouched to the floor, you smiled widely at Lion and climbed to his back with Garnet followed you; Lion stood in his four and floated in the air too, joining with the others with the helping of pink glows surrounding the three of you.

You didn't even notice that Spinel wasn't on the ride too, but looking above with a very heartbroken face with a hand reaching out to you but you didn't notice it.

You were distracted with the starry night in the sky, it was glamorous and pretty that your eyes can't avert away from it, your smile stretched very widely and your heart pumped excitedly, it was your first time to ever float off the ground and on Lion, it was a whole new experience for you.

"Independent together,
Independent together!
Independent together, you and I!
Independent together,
Independent together, we can fly!"

Steg's gem began to flicker dimmed and his body starting to sweat hard, his breath was slowly sinking and his lungs burned in needing of oxygen, he started to feel the struggle of flying with everyone and started to sink from the sky slowly.

Steg shook his head, not allowing the power of tired take over his body and just continue playing his instrument.

"Independent together,
Independent together!
Independent together, you and I!
Independent together, you and I!..."

Steg began to sink but with the help of Opal, she threw Steg further in the air as he smiled widely at the help but slowly frowned when he saw the most terrifying sight, the sight of Steven's favourite garden, he loved that place because of you, he memorized that you loved to see new flowers bloomed with the beautiful colour of butterflies flying around, and the green grass under the bright blue sky, he loved those moments.

The song had finally come to an end, everyone slowly floating downwards to the stage as Steg glowed and unfused between Steven and Greg, everyone had very bright smiles on their faces, including you but Steven couldn't see since he's distracted to gain more oxygen in his lungs.

"You did it!" Greg cheered loudly. But no response was received by his son before he turned to him. "...Steven?"

Steven panted heavily, his eyes drooped and dark bags surrounded his tired eyes, drools and sweats covered his tired and aching pain body, he collapsed on the stage as his body shook violently, his knees shaking and so are his arms, he lifelessly laid down on the stage.

Steven looked up slightly, he saw Spinel's heartbroken face before she ran away and through the crowds, Steven's heart clenched at the tears Spinel had spilt out, he was about to run for her but his body reminding him of how tired he was.

"Spinel!" you called out and ran after her.

Steven saw your movements and reached out for you but his arms tiredly laid down on the stage, his eyes held back burning and salty tears, he barely can do anything with his situation like that.

"Wait... (Y/N)! Spinel!" Steven called out, his voice was above a whisper.

Pearl and Amethyst who had unfused stared worriedly at Steven, their eyes widened and jaw hanging, their eyebrows were snitched together.

"Steven, are you okay?" Pearl asked, jogged to beside Steven.

Steven struggled and stood up with his shaky legs, eyes shut tightly. "D-Don't worry about me, it's Spinel. We need her to remember how to stop her injector. Ugh!" Steven's legs gave out which made him collapsed in his father's arms. Steven looked at Pearl desperately begging. "Pearl, what do you know about her?"

"Spinel? She was Pink Diamond's little playmate. They used to spend ages together in Pink's garden-"

"Garden?"

"That's where they used to play!"

Amethyst interrupted, eyes twitching in anger. "So, what's her problem with us?"

Pearl shook her head. "I don't know. I haven't seen her in 6,000 years!"

"Something must have happened to her since then" Steven answered, stood back up on his shaky legs, he took a deep breath. "Then that's what I need to find out before (Y/N) gets hurt!"

With that, Steven climbed on Lion, his eyes held determined on saving you, his lips formed a straight line, but before he could leave, his father interrupted.

"Whoa, kiddo, are you sure you don't need a break?" Greg asked, worriedly.

"It looks like that fusion took everything out of you" Amethyst shouted.

"I gotta do what I can with the little I have left. I'm going after (Y/N)" Steven answered confidently.

Steven gripped Lion's fur, signalling that he needs to move forward, Lion used his four and ran towards the door with Steven ignoring the call of his father.

"Steven, wait!"
