Ruby was marching in front of Sapphire, right to left then left to right with her fingers formed guns after stopping for 5 seconds each.

She was huffed in every step she took, signalling that she was a bodyguard that is overprotective and also a fool at the same time.

Sapphire had already predicted everything in her mind, she sees the future after all, but she just stood silent and watched her Ruby guarding and protecting her from harm.

While the others were discussing what should they do, nearby.

"So, when Ruby and Sapphire first became Garnet, Ruby rushed in to save Sapphire from danger, and bam! They fused" Steven began to explained, interwined both of his hands together. Steven thought for a while and did a hum. "So, maybe we've gotta create some sort of dangerous situation"

The four other than Steven nodded in understatement, knowing they had actually a shot either than nothing.

You actually concerned of Steven since he had been through a lot already, and you seem to be not doing anything to help, so there was no progress.

But when you see how he started to form a plan, you just let him be and follow his suit to see what he have in mind.

"Well, what do we have that's deadly and dangerous laying around?" Lapis asked, especially to Peridot since she always kept weird things around, probably dangerous too.

Peridot had her arms crossed and her lips formed a huge smile, already got an idea in her huge maniac brain.

"I think we could dig something up!" Peridot exclaimed, immediately ran to a nearby dumpster before literally dig into it.

You and Steven soon neared her, seeing she deeply dug the dumpster which revealed most unimportant stuff, in short, junk.

"Danger, danger, danger. What have we got? Hmm. No" she continued her rummaging through the dumpster, gave Steven a glass roaster, you were awestruck when you saw the roaster, which Steven chuckled to it before handing it to you. Peridot then suddenly gasped before got out from the dumpster and held out a huge pizza cutter thing. "Aha!"

Steven's and your eyes went as wide as possible when the huge pizza cutter was in view, made you almost dropped the glass roaster, so you immediately set it onto the ground so it couldn't be break.

"A giant pizza cutter?" Steven yelled and asked at the same time.

You curiously looked at Peridot with one of your eyebrows rose.

"That is one of its functions, yes" Peridot exclaimed, gave the pizza cutter to Steven which had his hands trembled.

Steven's eyes went wide once he touched it, suddenly had a huge doubt on the plan of making the two different gem to fuse.

"I-I can't threaten them with this" Steven told.

Peridot seem the trouble that Steven meant and pushed the red button that was on the pizza cutter, made the saw rolled face, made your face immediately turned pale.

"Here! Now, it's much more threatening. Off you go now!" Peridot said, pushed Steven slightly so that he could move forward to the two different gems.

Steven held the pizza cutter as far as he could from him, not wanting to be hurt nor harm by the silly plan.

You who watched Steven slowly near the two gems, ran to beside him and away from the pizza cutter, immediately stopping Steven midway.

Steven turned to you with a worried face on, eyebrows wrinkled together as sweats slowly formed since he was holding the heavy pizza cutter.

"Steven wait. D-Don't you think this might harm them?" you asked worriedly.

Steven's face softened when he saw your worried expression, almost immediately gave you a warm and soft smile.

"Don't worry. I'm just pretending to hurt them so they could fuse. You know that I wouldn't let anything happen to them, right?" Steven explained.

You hesitated to let Steven go at first but soon nodded and stepped aside to give Steven more room for his "action" towards the two different gems.

Steven continued to walk slowly to Ruby and Sapphire, still holding the running buzzsaw, gulping a lot amount of saliva.

Ruby still guarding out for Sapphire, still doing her routine as a bodyguard.

A sound of buzzing was heard, made Ruby halt her steps and looked towards Steven who inching nearing her and her master behind her.

Ruby instantly stood in front of Sapphire, hold her arm out as a signal for Steven to stop nearing them both.

You and the others just watched from afar, getting anxious due to could it work or not.

"Halt! I cannot allow you to approach my Sapphire with such a threatening device" Ruby ordered.

Steven gulped once more and spoke.

"That's too bad, 'cause I'm gonna... get you!" Steven spoke in a wavy tone, playing along.

The buzzsaw was held high on his head, showing that Steven was about to throw or slice them into half.

Ruby had her positioned into combat mode, haven't summoned her weapon yet.

Sapphire who was behind Ruby only stayed quite, just waiting for the action of the dark curly haired boy.

From afar, you, Bismuth, Lapis, Peridot and Spinel watched the three, grew their anxious about the situation unfold.

"Will this work?" Bismuth asked.

You shrugged your shoulders as a signal that you didn't know, turning back to watch Steven, Ruby and Sapphire.

"Permission to dispatch the curly-haired one, my Sapphire?" Ruby asked, preparing herself to get into a combat.

Sapphire who just stood still in silence soon spoke.

"No need. I predict he won't be able to follow through" Sapphire told Ruby.

Steven sighed as his thumb reached the red button and turned off the buzz saw that had been working on since earlier, threw off the saw to the ground slumpily.

"Ugh, I can't. Even if we are just pretending" Steven said, left the scene as Ruby was in a deep shock and surprised to Sapphire's prediction.

You saw that Steven was coming back towards the group, made your legs had the mind of its own and ran to Steven, your arms were sprung wide open as you then hugged Steven tightly.

Steven was shocked to your action, taken back to it.

Steven's face quickly went bright crimson red once he functionly processed what had happened.

You pulled away from him and cupped his face, brought his face to the sides so you could examine the injuries that he probably occurred accidentally.

"Steven. Did you get hurt? Where does it hurt? How did you get hurt?" you rambled on.

Steven chuckled at your action before held both of your hands into his and smiled softly at your concerned, happy that you care about him.

"I'm fine, don't worry" Steven assured you.

Your eyes examine his face, detecting any lies behind it, once you found out he wasn't lying, you smile to him.

Steven saw that your eyes drifted away from his crimson face and to his back, which your face soon turned pale.

"(Y/N)?"

"Wait! Spinel! Don't touch that thing!" you yelled, moved out of Steven's grasp and to Spinel.

But it was too late, Spinel had already pushed the button, made the saw went to all of the directions since Spinel's arms doesn't have the strength to hold the buzz saw like Steven.

She stumbling around and yelled out loud in fear of the saw as it revealed herself to vibrate violently, the saw touched the ground as Spinel was brought also with the saw, destroying everything around it in such a pattern.

"Hey, we just built that!" Bismuth yelled in anger.

Spinel lost her control of the buzz saw and continued to rolled and cut the ground, as she was still on the maniac saw.

Everything that was near around the place was destroyed, including the dumpster earlier.

Spinel let out a scream, not of fun, and the buzz saw crashed onto some buildings, destroying it in the process.

"Spinel!" you yelled.

As the saw getting near the group, you ran and jumped to save Spinel but accidentally got a cut on your left shoulder, made you cried in pain but still manage to get Spinel off the saw.

The saw was still cutting and escaped the place, crashing to things.

"My scaffolding! My precious scaffolding!" Bismuth let out a cry.

Everything was falling apart, half of the scaffolding was destroyed by the running saw, but it still continued to cut.

The half was falling but Peridot managed to use her power and keep it to its position, which three barrels feel down from the platform, Bismuth could only managed to grab 2 as the last one was rolled down, almost hit the tiniest gem walking which was saved by Lapis.

The half broken platform was finally crashed down to the ground.

Peridot released her power as she had nothing to hold on to, and Bismuth put down the remaining barrels.

Steven who was distracted earlier ran to you who kneeled down the impact earlier with Spinel beside you, worry washed all over Steven once he saw blood trickling down your left shoulder.

"(Y/N)!" Steven yelled, kneeled down beside you, hands shaking wether to touch you or not. "A-Are you okay?"

You slowly put your head up and looked around before Steven, immediately felt glad that he was there beside you.

"Is it... over?" Spinel hesitantly asked, still covered her head with both her gloves hands.

You just remembered Spinel was beside you and immediately grew concerned.

"Spinel. Are you okay?" you asked softly.

Spinel turned and face you and Steven, your face was soft and Steven wasn't, he held the face of a demon once he figured out that you were hurt because of her.

"I'm okay, I guess. Just traumatized by what just happened. Sorry" Spinel apologised.

Your face was soft, your right hand patted her head softly, like a mother gesture.

"It wasn't your fault, Spinel. You were just curious. We get it, I was too" you said and let out a few giggles.

Spinel had stars in her eyes, amazed to see how calm you got after the accident that had happened just a few seconds ago.

Her head felt slight dizzy, there was something reminding of something, but she couldn't put a finger on it.

"Spinel-"

Steven was about to let his anger out to Spinel for hurting you but was cut off by an anvil fell almost in a flash towards Ruby.

Ruby let out a cry as the anvil fastly almost hit her but was saved by Steven's shield.

His power was fading and you could clearly see that.

You got up to your feet and ran to Ruby who was having a small talk with Sapphire, ran in your full speed to catch Ruby away from the anvil.

You could clearly see Steven's shield are breaking, made your heart pumping fast as your breath soon washed away.

"Ruby!" you yelled. Suddenly you got tripped onto the ground, harshly onto your gem, deepening the small injector that was on your chest. You let out a whimper. You looked towards Ruby before the shield broke into million pieces. A tear escaped your eye when you watched the scene unfold. "No!"

The anvil then continued to fall down onto Ruby, crashed to the ground as sands were dusting all over the place, blinded people who watched the scene unfold.

And it revealed Garnet.
