It was the night of the day, and you were sleeping on Steven's bed peacefully.

Your strain tears could be seen clearly as your hand had been healed by Steven's smooch.

Steven was laying beside you, mesmerizing your calm face after crying too much.

He couldn't believe that he made you cried that much, eventually you felt tired of crying and went out of light as  soon as the couch touches your head, which Steven gladly carried you to his bed.

Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst knew that Steven was just worried, so they forgave him and told him to be easy on you since you were still learning new stuffs around you.

Steven pushed away a strain out of your face softly, staring at how beautiful you are.

He couldn't bare the heartache his feeling at the time, seeing you looked so afraid to even look at him made him regretted that he ever lived in the first place.

For these past few weeks, you were such a happy and patience girl, you tried so hard to adapt everything around and you also tried so hard to get comfortable in the town.

Even you smile more often, laughs more often and cry lesser.

But Steven thinks that he probably set you back to the scared girl and phobia with her surrounding once again.

Maybe you won't even talk to him again after what he had occur to you.

The pain wouldn't wash away as long as he didn't see you smile, or laugh, or even your shy expression.

He wouldn't feel at ease as long as he watched you in pain and struggles.

He really tried to help you, and even you took copperation to adapt everything, which made Steven's job a bit easier.

God, he hated himself.

Why would he even be worrued in the first place?

He knew that you were with the Gems, then why would he be worry sick?

With a very dissapointed sigh, he fell asleep due to tiredness and went to dreamless slumber.

𝒯𝒾𝓂ℯ 𝒮𝓀𝒾𝓅

The next morning had finallyreached its day, painting the sky with its beautiful mixed colours.

Steven slowly woke up from his dreamless sleep and patted to your side, found that you weren't there anymore.

He sprung upwards with wide eyes, worries began to flood down in him.

He looked around to his room, found no one in it except him.

Once the memories of the day before flooded back into his mind, he calmed himself down and reassured that you are safe and that you probably somewhere in the house or neither with the Gems.

He then set his legs first on the cold floor, trying to accept everything that he had just did yesterday.

A bright yellow sticky note caught his eyes at the nightstand of his, picking it up so he could read it better.

I just wanted to get something to drink. I promise I won't go anywhere!

It was obviously you wrote it.

First of all, the way you write it obviously showed that you scared that Steven was worry sick or something; second, your probably rarely write notes or diaries since your handwritting was all wobbly and out of its places, represents kid's handwritting.

Maybe he would teach you both read and write properly once you went back to normal around him.

A sound of soft grunts was heard downstairs, immediately knew that it was you since no other people spoke as soft and silent as you.

He set back the note to where it had got picked up and went down the stairs, saw you tiptoeing to reached the glass on the higher cabinet.

The sight was actually adorable to him, making Steven grin softly and continued made his way towards you.

"Hey, let me help you get that" Steven offered with a smile on his face.

You quickly turned to him with eyes widened.

You shook your head quickly and backed up away from Steven in fear.

"N-No. It's okay. I-I'm not thirsty a-anymore" you said, immediately ran away from him to the bathroom.

Steven who had the smile earlier turned to frown, he knew this would happen and yet it hurt him so bad.

His hands formed fists as his teeth gritted in frustration, he regretted everything he did to you.

The most painful feeling he felt was that you ignoring and avoiding to be near him.

The Gems who was sitting on the couch, saw everything that just happened, could feel the same feeling as to what Steven felt.

"Steven. Just give her some time. She still... You know" Pearl began.

Steven looked at the trio with sad and pain in his eyes, mouth formed a deep frown.

"I blew up everything..." Steven spoke, looking down.

Amethyst, Pearl and Garnet who watched from afar felt exactly what he was feeling.

The sad in his eyes, the way he gritted his teeth in regrettion, and the way his hair was messier than usual, those are the signs of someone fell in love but got rejected by their crush.

"She just wanted to do the right thing like you told her to do. She just wanted to be as useful as what you described yesterday" Amethyst spoke, reminding Steven what terrible things he said.

The notes, he told you to do that, the not wanting help, he also told you he hated that.

Burden was such a harsh word.

Harsher if you had lived around those terrible words.

The sound of door creaking was heard, made everyone looked to you, who just went out of the bathroom wih your face wet.

You looked to the ground and gripped your shirt tightly in your fists, making your knuckles grew white.

"I-I just wanted to i-inform you t-that I wanted to g-g-go out for a w-while. I-I promise I-I won't run or go a-anywhere far!" you said, could be heard clearly the crack in your tone.

Steven had his eyes teared up at how you had turned to, you wouldn't even meet his teary eyes and the way you gripped your shirt in fear of Steven getting mad making the apin increases.

Without any objection, Steven spoke.

"O-Okay. Just be safe" Steven said, staring down at your form.

You quickly nodded and bowed to him, before leaving the Beach House with his eyes glued on you till the sight of you gone.

Steven sighed in sadness.

"I felt like I'm being the 'Pink Diamond' once again..." Steven said.

The trio nodded in understatement, sad smiles were formed.

"Well, I'll be headed to work. Since I don't actually have anything to do" Steven informed the Gems before leaving to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Pearl looked to the both gems kn worry eyes, which the two immediately catch up to what Pearl felt.

Pearl put her palm on her mouth before sobbing slightly.

Amethyst and Garnet patted the back of Pearl, trying to comfort her.

"I... I felt so terrible for them... If only I followed my instict, this wouldn't had happen..." Pearl muttered, sobbing.

Garnet shook her head in disagreement, knowing what's the meaning behind all of this.

"You shouldn't be worry, Pearl. Every friendships need hard obstacle to go through. Trust me. I know what will happen" Garnet reassured, moving her visor up and down.

Pearl and Amethyst watched her, feeling slight hope in their hearts.

Maybe something even better will happen in the future.

As to what Garnet had seen so far.

I swear I never planned the plot to be like this. I never planned the reader to be sad or got any arguments with Steven. ai swear I never planned this out.

But here we are, I gotta change every plot that I have planned to let it go with the flow.
