Melody's POV

"Alright sweetie you're going to stay with Nana and Papa for a while. I'll be back before you know it."

I pull Nova into a hug and squeeze her tightly. She holds onto me and squeezes back.

"Mama I can't breathe now!"

"Sorry baby."

Pulling away, I smile widely then stand up and look at my mom and dad. My mom smiles as she walks over to Nova and holds her hand.

"Mel honey I'm so glad you are finally doing something for yourself. You turned into a beautiful, intelligent, strong, independent woman and I'm so proud of you and how you're raising Nova. I pray that things turn out right for you on this show."

"Thanks mom..."

She hugs me and kisses my cheek then disappears with Nova around a corner. Probably to Nova's play room. It used to be dads workout room but he's so whipped he painted it pink and filled it with barbies and dollhouses.

I look at my dad and see him smile at me widely, "What about you daddy? What do you think? Am I making a good decision?"

"It's not particularly what I had in mind but as long as you're happy, I'm happy. You're my little girl I can't bear to see you upset anymore. I want you to find that person for you again. And maybe, just maybe you might find him on this show."

I hug him and rest my chin on his shoulder. He kisses my head then pulls away.

"Alright well it's time for you head on out of here if you wanna catch your flight."

"You're right. I'll miss y'all."

"We'll miss you too. Have fun and always remember who you are."

I nod then grab my purse and walk out the house. I see Nova in the window waving at me with a big smile. I blow her a kiss which she catches them she does the same to me. I catch it and put it in my pocket.

A car horn honks nearby making me turn to see Loran roll down her cars passenger window.

"Come on Mel, you gotta get to the airport."

I hurry into her car then we jet down the road to the airport. After checking in my luggage and saying goodbye to Loran, I go through security then wait to board at my terminal. After boarding the plane, I look out the window and smile.

Bachelor here I come.

My legs shake in nervousness as I sit in the limo with five other girls. I found out our limo is literally the last one, and ever since then my calm mode has jet off to Italy and my freak out mode has taken its place.

Caelynn pats my leg and smiles making me sigh in relief and breathe.

"You'll be great girl!"

"Thanks."

She nods and looks out the window. We had only met an hour ago back at this fancy hotel where Chris Harrison introduced us all to each other. Some of the girls I could tell would be friendly and there were a few I was already on the fence about. But it's not about them. I came here to find love. I mean making friendships would also be nice but love is the main priority. Tyler is the main priority.

I look at all the girls and wonder if I am pretty enough to even be on the show.

Caelynn has long flowing brunette hair and gorgeous brown eyes. She has a perfect smile with straight shiny white teeth. Her make up was on point and she wears a red evening dress with a slit.

Riley has long red hair that goes past her shoulders. The red brings out her green eyes. She has hard features but they don't make her look older or more mature, even though she's in the oldest group of girls being 29. She wears a black mermaid dress with a few rhinestones on the top but other than that it's plain.

Layla has curly black hair that stops directly at her shoulders and magnetizing steel blue eyes. She has a slightly crooked nose but honestly it gave her character. She was rocking a small hoop nose piercing and surprisingly a tongue one too. She wore a long sparkling silver flowy dress.

Charlotte looks like her name. Cute short girl with brown hair and blue eyes. Her hair was darker than Caelynn's and it was in a bun on top of her head. Her facial features were childlike which made sense with her being the second youngest; she was 22. Charlotte wore a lavender dress; it was a halter top that slimmed down into a mermaid bottom.

Sadie who was the last girl, had a slight stank look to her face. She honestly looked like she had gotten her lips done. She has platinum hair almost silver that goes down to her butt. She has grey eyes and if it didn't look like she was smelling shit all the time then maybe she would be cute. Now Sadie wore the most revealing dress that I had seen all night. She wore a light purple asymmetrical sleeveless mini dress that stopped halfway up her thigh. The top part of the dress was loose because she wasn't top heavy. It was a nice dress but on her it looked like too much skin showing.

No I don't hate her because she's pretty. In the hotel room, Sadie thought it would be a good idea go through a bag that wasn't her own to find some lipgloss. She was a little tipsy and spilled her drink all over Novas picture that she drew for me before I left her. I was pissed and obviously wanted to let her have it but I kept my cool and was nice. We hadn't even started the day and I was already done with her. All I know is if I stay here tonight... she definitely better not be my roommate.

The limo stops making me clear my head and focus on the present. The door opens to one of the producers who was wearing a huge headset.

She smiles at each of us, "Hi girls, I'm Laura. Now you guys are our last limo as you know so here's how the entrance will work. Layla is first, then Sadie, Riley, Charlotte, Caelynn, and last will be Melody. If you have something with you then don't forget to take it out the limo, once the door has been shut you can't open it back. Girls who stay in the limo you cannot speak because the mics will catch it. Make sure to never look at the camera and to smile. Have fun girls."

She shuts the door and the limo starts to slowly move again. We stop and smile at each other silently wishing one another luck. One by one the girls leave with and without props. Sadie had a huge pink jersey with rhinestones and her name on it. Riley had a football with her number written in sharpie on it. And Layla had a cutout of the Bachelor. Noted he was super hot and super my type.

Finally the time comes and I'm told it's my turn. I'm the last girl with no prop and no gimmick. I'm nervous as I reach for the door handle but quickly the butterflies in my belly start to disappear as I slowly open the door. Then as soon as I set eyes on Tyler the butterflies start to go crazy again. I smile and he smiles back widely. He's way hotter in person. Not that he's ugly in pictures or on tv... he's definitely not.

He stands in a nice blue suit and black shoes. He has brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes. His jawline is chiseled and he has strong bone structures.

I slowly but surely make my way to the bachelor and then grab his hand while standing in front of him.

"Hi. You look beautiful and that dress is wow."

I smile and twist side to side looking down, "Thank you! You're not so bad yourself."

He chuckles making my whole body shiver in delight. His deep southern voice calms me and brings joy to me already and we just met.

"Thank you."

"So I'm Melody. My friends call me Mel. I'm 26 and I don't have a gimmick or anything. Just me, myself, and I, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm super excited to be here. I'm so happy the bachelor is you and I can't wait to get to know you more and see if we can connect on a deeper level."

"I love that Mel thank you. It's so nice to meet you."

"I'll see you inside." I smile then pull him into a hug which he quickly reciprocates.

Shocks fill my arms and chest as we touch making me smile wide. I don't know what this is but it might be something good. Or I could be slowly dying.

We pull apart and suddenly stare into each other's eyes. His blue eyes stare into my soul making me feel like he already knew every single thing about me. He smiles and squeezes my hand.

"I can't wait to talk to you."

I nod then turn and make my way into the mansion but not before hearing him whisper wow.
