Author POV:

After there first date to the movies and weeks later to their first kiss under their childhood tree, Buttercup and Butch began to date.

Months past and many memories were made. Butch felt the luckiest guy being able to kiss and hug Buttercup, and much more.

"I love you," Butch said, making Buttercup stop walking and turn around to face Butch. "Really?" Buttercup said, looking shocked. Butch's cheeks turn to a pink color and he nodded his head as a 'Yes'.

What Butch didn't expect to happen in this situation is for Buttercup to cry, "Hey, Hey, don't cry." Butch rushed to Buttercup's side and began to wipe her tears away with the pad of his thumb. "I...I love you too." Buttercup said, looking up to meet his eyes. Butch held her chin and leaned down to kiss her.

"....so much..." Buttercup whispered in the kiss, Butch deepened the kiss and began to hold her closer while she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Butch felt like nothing could come between them, nothing.

"I'll never forget this special day." Buttercup mumbled, smiling into his chest as they hugged tightly in each other's arm, not wanting to ever let go.

As more months kept passing, everybody in Townsville High started to notice the couple and they were all supportive about the Football player and team captain soccer player relationship.

No one dared to make a move on Buttercup or Butch, even the cheerleader captain that hates Buttercup's guts.

Everything was going smoothly and great....

Until Buttercup was sent to the nurses office.

"Do you want to get burgers after practice?" Butch asks Buttercup, "Definitely! I been craving burgers for weeks now" Buttercup says, "Alright, it settle." Butch smiled at Buttercup.

"Hey Butch! Come on, let's go!" One of Butch's football teammates yelled out, Butch only nods and turns to look at his girlfriend, "I'll see you after practice." Butch says and pecks Buttercup's rosey pink lips.

"Mm, green apple?" Butch questions, tasting the lip gloss flavor on his lips, Buttercup shrugs in response "I'm trying something new."

"Like it."

They both waved goodbye and Buttercup walks to the girl's locker room to change her clothes since she also has to go to practice for the girl's soccer team. "Hey there captain, you ready for practice?" Robin asks, "Yup, just have to tie my shoe laces."

Buttercup's friend nods and tells her she'll be out in the fields waiting with the other girls. Buttercup only nods. Buttercup has been getting a lot of headaches lately and having trouble sleeping, yet she hasn't told Butch anything about it because she didn't want her boyfriend to worry about something small.

"I'm here," Buttercup announced, making all her teammates look at her.

After a small talk, they began playing.

Buttercup's all worries went away when she played soccer, it kept her happy and free. Buttercup kicks the soccer ball, and makes a goal. A few friends fist bump her or tell her 'nice kick'. Buttercup looks over to the football field where her boyfriend is having practice. She smiles and continues to play.

While playing, Buttercup could hear her couch yelling at her and telling her to keep her eyes on the ball and don't let anything distract her. Buttercup doesn't respond and just does what she's told, "Hey Buttercup! Isn't that your boyfriend talking to the captain of the cheerleading squad?" Somebody unknown yells out, and what Buttercup did next was a big mistake.

Buttercup right away looks up to look towards the football field, forgetting all about the soccer ball needed to be pass to her, "BUTTERCUP!" A teammate yells, as a warning for the ball coming right at her head.

Buttercup falls on the grass and her head hits a rock nearby.

Everything goes dark for Buttercup.
