-White Diamond x Child Reader

P.S: All the Diamonds are human-sized. The story is WAY out of your idea, I'm really sorry! Changed of writing style will be occurred.

Where White Diamond adopted you as her child and tried her best to support both of her works and her cares of you.

You were running down the hallways, the cute little smile of yours still had plastered on your face. Your tiny feet made echoes in the empty hospital hallway. To cute your boredom, you started running around and hoping childishly. The doctors and nurses tried to shush you but you still kept on making noises. It wasn't technically your fault, you're just 7 years old.

Why you were in the hospital? That's a really good question.

Your parents had been caught in some kind of disease that is still unknown of how they got it in the first place. You heard the doctors told you that your parents need to be surgery as soon as they can and told you to be brave and strong. You didn't know what they meant by being brave and strong but you nodded nevertheless.

It's been 4 hours since you've been in the hospital and you grew bored. Some doctors came and greeted you like Doctor Blue and Doctor Yellow. Doctor Blue is very easy for you to get comfortable with but not with Doctor Yellow. She gave you the creeps.

You are now sitting on one of the hospital seats with a delicious chicken sandwich in hand. Doctor Blue had given it to you. But when you asked who, she told you it was from another doctor. You could care less though, you were famished.

Another hour rolled by fast and you've finished the sandwich. Licking the leftover mustard on your lips, you looked around to see that no one is still in the hallway.

Your legs swung front and back your feet can't reach the floor since you still are small. You leaned your back on the chair, sighing in boredom.

Then, as if your wish of getting the boredom goes away came true, Doctor Blue sat next to you. You flashed her a very cute smile which Blue returned the same, patting your head and ruffled your hair for it to be a mess.

"When will I can go home, Doctor Blue?" you asked innocently, looking up to see Blue had her face almost broken.

Blue looked down to you, smiling weakly at you, her eyebrows furrowed in sadness per usual. "Soon enough. Doctor White will inform it you," she said.

You nodded, staring off back to he familiar cream coloured hallway. The smile on your face still there as your cheeks flushed softly due to the low temperature. Blue looked at you again, her soft smile earlier had turned to a soft frown. Her eyes saddened further. It broke her heart to tell you about the news but she knew you have to know it sooner or later. But she couldn't bare to see tears pricking on your cute (E/C) orbs that always seemed to shine in the dark.

After another painful and suffering hours of waiting patiently in the cream coloured hallway, you grew extremely bored again. With the loss presence of Doctor Blue, Doctor Yellow and Doctor White on your side, you felt yourself have the ability to eat a single chair by your own without any utensils needed. Your stomach growled in hunger again, even though Doctor Yellow had just given you a set of Fish and Chips a while ago, your stomach had growled loudly again. Like your parents always say, you have such a big stomach for a little girl.

You hummed in boredom, head tilted side to side. But your mood quickly turned when you saw Doctor White was walking your way. "Doctor! Goodnight!" you cheered, giggling after.

White laughed after you but her laughter died down and her happy facial expression turned into sad ones. White sat beside you, a long sigh released from her mouth.

"(Y/N), dear. I have some news to tell you." White said nervously, ruffling your hair cutely. You nodded at her to let her continue. White inhaled shakily before exhaled, her facial expression turned serious, made your smile flattered down a bit. "Y-Your parents had a major virus that invaded their lungs and brain. We tried our best to heal them but the virus spread faster than we thought. The virus was unknown to us so we barely can do anything about it."

You tilted your head. "So... where are my parents?" you asked innocently.

White inhaled. "T-They're gone, dear. They had left us." White informed.

Your eyes pricked back upcoming tears, cheeks became flushed further and mouth shut tightly. Your heartfelt as if it had broken into million or trillion of pieces and it is very painful.

You covered your mouth, sobbing through your small hands and let the burnt tears ran down your cheeks painfully. You almost choked a sob as you sobbed rather loudly. You shook your head aggressively, wiped the tears away to only be refilled with new ones.

"M-Mama... and P-Papa... are gone? F-For forever?" you asked, looking at White in hope of she's telling a lie or rather a prank.

But White only nodded, her gaze guiltily looked away from you. When you saw her reaction, you cried further. Your heart squeezed badly that it hurts for you to even let out a sob. You cry and cry. Again and again, until it was 2 in the morning. Doctor White hadn't left your side ever since and only hugged you for comfort.

You dug your head on White's chest, sobbing weakly. White softly brushed your hair, humming softly a song she was fond of. You slowly calmed down from all of the cryings. You wiped your eyes and nose with your sleeve, sniffed here and there. You looked down to your tiny feet, sniffed again.

"Where am I going to go now? I-I don't want to go to my auntie's house. She's mean!" you said, sniffing on your sleeve.

White gave you a sympathetic look, signing through her nose. "You can sleep with me. It'll be like a sleepover, but it's an everyday joy!" White cheered, hugging you.

You giggled at the idea, nodding softly at her suggestion. You hugged for a while, getting the warmth from each other.

It's been a month now and you are officially adopted by White. You didn't mind it much but it still pained you to remember that your parents are forever gone and you only had White, Blue and Yellow left as your family.

As a good daughter you wanted to be, you started your learning on Biology and Chemistry early so that you could be like your mother, White, as a doctor. White had been protested about it but you forced her to be agreeing with your choice. In the end, she sighed and nodded softly at you.

You flipped another page of human's body book you found in one of the cabinets White had been keeping in her room. She didn't mind you borrowing it, instead, she gave it to you as a present of your early birthday. You were so happy about it that you had been repeatedly read the book countless times.

Another page was flipped as your eyes started to roam against the words on the page but it was soon interrupted by three soft knocks on your door. You turned your head around to see that your door was closed with few cute paintings you've made about the human inner part. You groaned softly, getting up on your two little feet, you grabbed the doorknob and twisted it to reveal your adoptive mother.

"Hey, Mama. Is there something wrong?" you asked.

White giggled, ruffled your hair. "No, dear. I just want to introduce you to your new sister."

You tilted your head to the side, confused. "My new sister?" you asked in confusion.

White brought a person out of her back, made your eyes widened at the sight of a girl coming. Her body was smaller than yours and she had two adorable pigtails tied up to both side of her head. Your smile was so wide when you saw the little girl shyly get out from her hiding spot.

"Introduce yourself, dear." White cooed softly, pushing her further to you.

"M-My name is Spinel. Nice to meet you, big sister." Spinel shyly informed, blushes formed on both of her cheeks. You won't even ask about how she got the scars on her cheeks because you were already happy that you got a new sister.

"Hi, Spinel. I'm (Y/N)! I promise that I will take care of you for as long as you need me." you said, holding out your hand for Spinel to grab it.

Spinel hesitantly looked up to your gorgeous (E/C) eyes and took your hand. You smiled wider, pulling her inside of your room and slammed the door shut so you can have peace to spend with your new little sister.

White was stunned, awkwardly waiting outside the door. "I guess... I'll be on my way now..." White said, only earned giggles from another side of the door and sighed before leaving.

Being average 24 years old was not how you imagined your life would be. You mean, you imagined yourself being the youngest doctor and it came true. But you never imagined yourself to be dragged inside of a cinema to watch about the sappy romance of two-person falling for each other. You almost gagged when you heard the suggestion fell right out of your little sister's lips.

"C'mon, sis! When was the last time we hung out?" Spinel asked, punching your arm softly.

You cocked an eyebrow. "Yesterday?" you answered in confusion.

"Exactly! We need more time to spend with each other with you busy being a hero out there!" Spinel chimed, jumping around while holding tightly the two romance movie ticket in hand.

Your eyes trailed your sister, sighing. Your shoulders slumped. "Fine, fine. I'll go. But remember, I have work on 7 tonight. So we have to go to the movie early! Or else we won't get to watch the movie together!" you said, shoving your coat in your bag with other work stuff you've been familiar with.

"Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Spinel cheered, instantly grabbing your hand to the car and drive away like a maniac.

It was now almost 7 pm and the movie had just finished. You groaned in both tired and boredom. The movie was literally just about kisses and hugs, nothing that takes your interest. But Spinel thought the otherwise. She thought it was the most romantic movie ever but you disagreed.

"Oh come on. Don't you think that a doctor fell in love with their patient adorable! It's super romantic!"

"And very unlogical. No doctors should be falling for their patience! It said in the book rules number #7: doctors could not falling, dating, kissing, making out, sleep, intertwine hands, blush, or have a connection with patience. Except if it's their relatives then it is allowed." you proudly informed.

Spinel rolled her eyes, entering the car as you did the same. "Come on, sis! Love a little!" Spinel groaned.

"You mean, live a little?"

"No, love. You seriously need to start a relationship now or else you won't have your generation continue. Who would be your successor, huh? Just think about it!"

You sighed. "I don't know. I just... don't want to love at the moment. It's maybe great for you, but not me. Maybe I just didn't find the right man yet."

Spinel let out a sad sigh. "Its okay sis. We're here. Go out there and save more people lives!"

You grabbed your coat out of your bag and smiled determined at Spinel. Slung the sleeves on your shoulders, you gave her a nod. "Already planned ahead of you."

You jogged across the white hallway, panting ever so slightly. Your hair flew everywhere due to the rushing feet you've been dragging. You cursed to yourself.

"I can't believe I forgot about my appointment! Screw Adam for setting me up in the last moment!" you mumbled to yourself, rushing into a room. But before you could enter, you straightened your posture, calmed down your breath and professionally hang your board in the arm.

You plastered a smile as you walked in, seeing a guy sitting on his bed with wires in his arm. You found him rather attractive but you shook your thoughts off and walked up to him.

"I'm sorry for the delay. May I know your name?" you asked professionally, fixed the stereoscope around your neck.

Your (E/C) eyes instantly met with dark brown ones. He had dark brown curly and frizzy hair that you found it cute on him. Chubby cheeks and strong arms were seen clearly with a nervous smile on his face. He scratched the back of his head sheepishly with a nervous chuckle escaped his lips.

"My name is Steven Universe." the boy said.

"Well, hello, Steven Universe. My name is (Y/N) White and it is very nice to finally meet you."

"The pleasure is all mine."

"So, where are you hurt?" you asked, setting the stereoscope to your ears and ready to begin.

"In my chest. I felt my heart getting weak slowly. Am I going to die?" Steven asked anxiously.

You set the stereoscope on Steven's chest, hearing his heartbeat slowly are dying. Your face saddened but you formed again the bright smile on you. "Of course not. I will let you live, I promise." Even though doctors can not make promises to their patience, you just had an urge to say it. You just felt bad for him. "May I have your permission to run some tests on you?"

Steven nodded. "Sure. As long as I won't die, right?" Steven joked, formed two finger guns and shot at you.

You giggled at his childishness, blushes crept on your cheeks. "I think you could say that..."

Oh how much you didn't know where it would lead you.

I've heard about your condition and I felt really terrible to let you suffer. I'm sorry that I'm not there to comfort you who are now in pain but I will forever cheer for you to keep on living. You're my friend, and I will always love my friends.

For Unphytri, I hope you get better in the future.
