For those who don't know who the other characters are, they are as followed:

- Chin length white hair: Piko

- Short white and purple cut/ponytail: Flower

- Long pink hair: Miki 

- Blond with the bandages covering left eye: Oliver

- Blond ponytail: Len

- Blue hair: KAITO (yes his name is in all caps, that's not just me)

As for why they are known as the meme squad... I don't actually know. It could because they are super underrated? But for the most prevalent four, I can make a few guesses:

- People always think Flower is a boy when they first see her since they usually see her design  with the boy cut (she's canonly female, but I headcanon them as genderfluid)

- Fukase has the "interesting" design, but there's also the fact that there are millions of memes of him. People also compare him to Len and Flower so...

- Piko is still stuck in Vocaloid2, so his voice quality isn't the best. Then there's the fact that he's a trap-

- I'm not so sure about Miki. I'm assuming it's because people keep mistaking her for Luka.

As for the others:

- There are a ton of memeish headcanons about Oliver. For starters, we have his left eye. What is underneath those bandages? Some say his eye is just sensitive to light or he's blind, others theorize that he's actually missing an eye or he has a weird looking eye underneath like Fukase. Then there are those who joke about his eye socket being used as a birdhouse for his pet bird, James. Then there's the fact that he's a shota, he eats dirt (look up the song "it's dark!" by GHOST and Pals) and curses like a sailor.

- Len is a meme himself; he likes bananas, is horny as fuck, dies in every fucking song, is everywhere on Reddit and Twitter- must I say more?

- Kaito isn't a member of the meme squad, but he is kinda a meme cus he sounds like Kermit the Frog (no joke, look up any of Kaito's English songs), his nAKeD sCArF stuff, him loving ice cream-
