We all laugh, rifling through clothes on Emily's bed.

Aira points to a top. "Okay, wait, wait, yeah." Hanna tosses it to her. Hanna holds up a shirt looking at us questioningly as Alison raises a skirt up to her before immediately tossing it down.

I eye a pair of black short shorts while Hanna holds up a gray pencil skirt for Spencer earning an excited gasp from her. Alison winks to me as she moves to the mirror to slip on a pink flower shirt and I smirk, slipping on a ruffled black mini skirt. Oh I have the PERFECT heels for this.

"That's really hot Ali."

"So sexy, Scar."

Ali and I smirk, admiring ourselves in the mirror when suddenly Ali snaps. "I can see you!" She rages, causing me to jolt, she pushes past Aria and Spencer to the window and slams her hand on it. "Oh, my God! I can't believe it!" She turns to us in disgust. What the hell?

"What is it?" I rush out.

"Who was it, Ali, what did you see?" Emily asks.

"He was in that tree spying on us!" She shouts. "I am so creeped out." My brows furrow angrily. Someone was watching us?

"Who was it?" Spencer wonders.

"It was that perv, Toby Cavanaugh." Ali clips.

"Are you sure?" Aria squeaks.

"Yes, I'm sure! He was right there!" Ali stresses, looking horrified. "I bet he saw us all naked." I cross my arms tightly, feeling exposed and disgusted... but most of all furious.

"Wh... Should we tell someone?" Aria questions.

"I mean, we could..." A smirk appears on Ali's face. "But I have a better idea."

"Good." I hum. "I'm in."

Fireworks crackle all around us as we step through the yard.

"Are we sure he's not in there?" Aria asks abruptly.

"Aria." I roll my eyes.

"He's not, okay?" Ali snaps. "You've got the lighter right, Spencer?"

Emily skips a step, grabbing Ali's arm. "Let's wait a second." I sigh. All I want is to be put Toby in his place and go back Emily's house.

"What, Emily?" Ali turns to her.

"I don't wanna do this." Emily panics. Figured she would. It's just a little payback, it's not like we're killing him.

"Fine. Go back. You're on your own." Ali tells her.

She turns to me and I shrug, standing with Ali.

"Okay, maybe, Emily's right." Aria speaks up. "We should just call the cops. They'll take him in. They'll take care of it."

"Where's the fun in that?" Ali proposes.

"We can handle this on our own." I agree. Besides, what would they actually do? Think we pranked called or something?

"Girls, Toby Cavanaugh is a freak and we need to teach him a lesson." Ali continues, trying to snap some sense into them.

"To you ladies think loser guys can just peep through windows to see us naked because they're not getting any?" I scoff.

"If he thinks he can come and spy on us while we're in your bedroom, Emily, he needs to know that his little domain is no longer a safe little hideout." Alison bulldozes.

My blood boils for Emily. Thank God Alison caught him, cause I can't imagine how long this has been going on.

"Exactly! Emily, babe, what about all the times we're not here and it's just you? I'm sure this isn't the first time the perv has tried something." I point out to her. Hello?!

"Exactly, Scar. I mean who knows what he does in there all day that little freak!" Alison spits out.

"Are you sure that it was Toby?" Spencer checks.

"Spencer, he quite literally lives across street!" I look at her.

"Yes! And it's a stink bomb, for God's sakes! We're not nuking the place." Ali exasperates. They act like we're setting the place on fire, geez. "Now, let's do it." She steps over to the window of Toby's garage with the stink bomb. "Give me the lighter." She looks at Spencer.

Spencer, to my surprise, doesn't argue or take long, and pulls the lighter out and hands it over. Ali lights the stink bomb and cracks open the window peaking in before she throws it, but she keeps her head in for a minute... does she see something?

She then gasps. "Let's get out of here. Run." She slams the window shut. We take off, Spencer next to me as Aria, Emily, and Hanna grab hands. Something explodes behind us and a couple of the girls scream. We all come to halt, spinning around.

Shit. The garage is engulfed in flames. My mouth parts.

"Ali, what did you do?" Spencer chokes out.

"We have to get out of here." Hanna says.

"Come on, let's go." Emily echo's. "Come on." Spencer pulls me along as we hurry off...

Our phones chime, pulling me out of the Godforsaken memory and I blink coming back to. Spencer snaps her eyes at me as the rest of the girls stare down at their phones. Jenna feels around in front of her until she grabs Spencer's phone and holds it out to her.

"Aren't you gonna get that?" She asks. My jaw tightens as I scoop up my phone, my fingers gripping it tightly as the rest follow my lead picking up theirs.

I read the message, my blood running cold, but I don't show it. I look up making eye contact with Aria as she scans the table. Spencer raises

Somehow I blinked & this book turned 2 years old today... uhhh, what?! I cannot thank you for sticking with this book & Scarlett's journey for the past 2 years!! We are truly just getting started!! ALSO CAN WE HAVE A MOMENT FOR THE GIF?!

Also... sorry it's been a hot minute... lmao. I was on a role this summer & then started working/got a new job & worked on other books... buttt here we are!! The cliffhanger from last chap was quite evil of me haha, but hope y'all enjoyed this chapter & the flashback of the Jenna incident. I just couldn't see Scarlett not being fully on board with Ali bc it's Ali, she thought Toby was a freaky perv, & like she said it was supposed to just be a stink bomb... I never said Scarlett was nice!! Haha, she is the bitchiest liar for a reason!!
