Dinner last night was a complete bore. It was all just gossip between Rose and Melissa, but Wren tried his best to entertain Spencer and I.

I exit the locker room showers, feeling refreshed from my back to back volleyball and dance practice. I'm co-captain of volleyball team, only reason I'm not captain is because this senior threw a fit and her mom is a teacher soooo, and I'm captain of the dance team.

I walk up to my locker in my towel just as Emily and Spencer do the same, Emily also in a towel and Spencer in her field hockey gear.

"Hey, you been hanging out with Aria?" Spencer asks her as she opens her locker.

I slip in between them to get to mine. "Oh, yes Emily, do tell." I encourage.

"Not really," Emily responds. Please.

I scoff, "What, gossiping about me in class isn't hanging out?"

She doesn't saying anything, focusing on a piece a paper she pulled out from her locker.

"Ooo, is that love letter?" I tease. I think she's dating some guy in our grade named... Brad? Bryce? I notice her face falls and she looks a little shaken. I nudge Spencer.

"Emily? Is everything alright?" Spencer checks gently as Emily folds the paper up quickly.

"Why wouldn't it be?" She flashes us the fakest smile ever. Spencer doesn't seem to buy it but lets it go, glancing over at me to mouth bye before she leaves.

Oh well, if Emily isn't gonna spill I'm not gonna pry since we don't really talk anymore... but I can't help this nagging feeling I have from it. Her face looked a little to similar to what I felt like yesterday when I got that text: Horrified, violated, and trying to keep it together all at once.

I rub my eyes before slamming my laptop shut. I'm trying to get a head start in a few classes and I'm already exhausting and wishing for summer to come back. As the spots fade I notice it's now dark outside. When did that happen? I literally just got homed, blinked, and now it's late? And I skipped dinner! Ugh.

I go over to shut my blinds and curtains when I see Melissa and Wren laughing together as she pulls him towards the barn. I look over to find Spencer staring at them with jealously written all over her face before she notices me too. Well, this doesn't make me look creepy at all... but hey she was doing it too.

She sends me a small wave. I wave a few fingers and point to the couple. She rolls her eyes and I do a gagging gesture causing her to chuckle before she furrows her eyebrows and holds up a finger indicating 'one sec' and goes over to her laptop. She looks over her shoulder, terrified and worried at whatever she just read. That doesn't seem good. Hmmm. She looked pretty miserable watching Wren and Melissa. Surely she wouldn't go down that road again.

Flashback

Alison, Spencer, Hanna, and I enter the Hasting's kitchen, getting ready to head out to the jacuzzi. Hanna grabs one of the cookies from the cooking tray on the counter.

"Are you really gonna eat that, sweetie?" Alison asks her. Hanna stops just as she's about to take a bite. Spencer looks a little stunned but quickly looks away. "I'm being a friend, Hanna," Ali smiles and Hanna puts it back.

I sigh. Hanna is a little bigger than the rest of us, which has never bothered me or the other girls, but she wants to lose weight. Ali tries to advise her, in her own.. Ali way.

"How about we half it?" I offer her, knowing half a cookie isn't gonna make a difference and that she really wanted one. She nods happily.

I break it in half just as Melissa enters with her boyfriend Ian and Rose with her flavor of the month right behind them. "Aren't you supposed to be at Alison's?" Melissa asks annoyed.

"Or our house? That's why I came here," Rose huffs. I roll my eyes.

"Hi, girls," Ian greets much more chipper.

"Hi, Ian," Alison responds and Hanna and Spencer smile as I eat my half of the cookie.

"You still need help with your scoop, Spence? I've got my stick in the car?" Ian offers since he plays field hockey too.

Melissa nudges his arm, "Ian, what are you her babysitter?"

"We're going upstairs, Lis," Rose calls over her shoulder. Who asked?

Melissa grabs Ian's hand, "Right behind you."

"You need to tell your sister," Alison blurts out causing Melissa to pause. Oh shit, here we go.

"Tell me what?" Melissa looks at Spencer who looks to Ali as she tries to contain her pissed expression before quickly recovering with a smile and turns back to Melissa.

"Nothing."

"Come on," Melissa gives her a strange look, turning back to Ian and they finally head upstairs.

Alison looks at Spencer with a smug look. Has she lost her mind?!

"Outside," Spencer tells her sharply and storms off. Alison follows.

"What's that about?" Hanna turns to me.

"Why don't I go see, wait here," I tell her, even though I already know, but Hanna surely doesn't need to.

"Please, join us," Spencer mutters to me as she holds the door open before slamming it as we step onto the patio.

"Someone should make sure this doesn't turn into a brawl," I roll my eyes. All I wanted to do was come over here and relax in the jacuzzi.

"What the hell are you doing?" She scolds Ali, ignoring me.

"She's gonna find out." Is all Ali says, crossing her arms.

"No she's not," Spencer determines, crossing her arms too. I groan, we could be out here all day. These two could just go back and fourth forever if you let them.

"I promise you she is. Because if you don't tell her, I will," Alison declares. Ugh, do we really have to do this now?

"Can we just not talk about this right now?" I suggest.

"I thought you were my friend," Spencer looks betrayed.

"Don't you get it? I'm trying to help you do the right thing," Alison stresses. So that's a no then? I sigh, looking behind me to find Hanna watching everything unfold while eating another cookie.

"It was one kiss!" Spencer defends.

"Alright!" I jump in, raising my voice. I've had enough. I clear my throat, jutting my head towards the door to let them know they have an audience now.

Alison scoffs, turning to walk away.

Spencer grabs her arm, "No, you listen to me, Alison-"

"Or what?" Alison challenges.

"If you say one word to my sister about Ian... I will tell everyone the truth about the Jenna thing," She narrows her eyes.

"Spencer!" I shout. Ali glares at her before jerking her arm back and walks away without another word.

I step in front of Spencer, crossing my arms. "Those are two very different situations! You went too far!" I yell at her before shoving past her to go find Alison

Back to Present

I shake off the memory, crossing my fingers Spencer doesn't go for a round two. I still can't believe Spencer ever threatened something like that... that doesn't just involve her, it involves all of us.

I sigh, grumbling as I move on to grab my pjs and glance over to the DiLaurentis's house- well, I guess it's not their house anymore, is it? My head instantly snaps back over, doing a double take as I gasp, dropping my stuff. I swear I just saw a glimpse of a figure with long, curly blonde hair.

"Alison?" I mumble. Chills shoot down my spine.

No, Scarlett, don't be dumb. I'm just sleep deprived that's all. Right?...
