 "I don't know about this Sam" you sighed and rolled your eyes as he dragged you by the hand. You weren't really having a good time lately, you were pretty moody and your boyfriend Sam was taking notice something was up and so decided to take you out to the county fair in an attempt to cheer you up.

 "Listen up (y/n), I don't like seeing you miserable like this, and the county fair is fun and everybody likes it so we're going! You'll have fun, I promise ya"

 "I doubt that" you muttered as you both entered the place. The smell of the animals hit you as you walked in and you immediately wanted to go home.

 "Do we have to go?" You complained.

 "Yes, and that's that. I ain't gonna see you feeling down and do nothing about it. HOLY SMOKES! Would ya look at that?" He exclaimed and pointed a pig race. You tried not to show any interest, but your curiosity was piqued.

 "That's pretty cool I guess" you shrugged.

 "Come on! We have to watch them!"  He grabbed you by the hand and ran over to where they were. He almost dragged you across the ground. Yeesh, he didn't know his own strength sometimes.

"My moneys on that one right there" he pointed to a little one on the right"

"Really?" You folded your arms and smiled.

"Look, you're smiling! I told you this place would do you the world of good!"

" Eh, we'll see"

The race was pretty interesting really. It was amazing to think you could race animals like these instead of just dogs and horses.

 "They're pretty darn cute though" you admitted. " makes you feel guilty for having a bit of bacon or pepperoni "

 "A-a-and it should" said Porky who was standing beside you, clearly offended.

 "I'm sorry Porky, no offense" you apologised, embarrassed.

 "Eh, the heck with that guy. He's loony" said Sam as he put his arm around you and you walked away.

 "Hey, Sam. Know what would really cheer me up?" You have him a suggestive smirk.

 "I won't know unless you tell me"

 "If you were to win me one of those" you said pointing to one of the game stalls.

 "What do you wanna go throw your money away on a rigged thing like that for?" He asked.

 " It's fun. But maybe you're scared? " You teased.

"Ah, that's a piece of cake" he bragged as he paid the money for the game. It was a knock over bottles and win a prize game. Only thing was he was pretty short.

"Right then, let me give this varmint what for" he rubbed his hands before throwing the ball. He missed!

"What?" He cried out. You worried. You forgot how bad his temper could be. " That can't be right " he muttered before throwing the ball for a second time and missing.

"Well uh, third time lucky " you chuckled nervously. What was he going to do it he lost this time?

and once again, he failed. That was when he had had enough and his temper flared up. He pulled out his gun and shot the bottles down.

 "Here! Take whatever one you want! Just go!" The guy running the game said, now scared for his life.

You picked a big stuffed seal. "See, I told you I'd win one for you" he smirked proudly as you both walked away. Sure, he was crazy and bad tempered toward anyone who dared to mess with you, but that was just his way of showing he cared.

 "Thanks. Gee, I'm starving" you said as you notice you hadn't eaten anything in hours.

 "Fear not my lady, don't you know all the foods this place sells?" He informed you and you suddenly remembered all the weird and wonderful foods they sold here.

 "Oh yeah!"

 " Now what do you fancy? A hot dog? Pretzels? Deep fried butter on a stick? "

"Uh, I think we should just get a pizza" you shudder at that last suggestion.

 "A pizza it is then. One pizza please" he ordered.

It was a beautiful sunset now as you both enjoyed your meal.

 "Sam, I just wanna say thank you for dragging out here and I'm sorry if I wasn't being very nice to you these past few days" you apologised for your recent behaviour.

"Eh, it's alright. Just as long as you enjoyed today" he smiled.

You looked into his eyes. You could see how happy he is, but there was always room for improvement, and so you gave him a kiss. A wonderful ending to a wonderful day.
