You turned up for work as assistant to a certain member of the loonatics like you always do when he has an idea to help acmetropolis, but lately you had been hesitant about the work. It wasn't that you were incapable, oh no, far from it, it's just that you were recently crushing on the coyote and so things were becoming awkward now and you were really reconsidering your work with the loonatics.

[Flashback, a few months earlier]

You were at the mall with your best friend, Lexi, and it just seemed like a regular day for both of you but you had an important announcement that you wanted to make to her.

"Mmm, these doughnuts are really hitting the spot" She moaned in pleasure as she finished her treat. "I really shouldn't but todays a girls day out, i can treat myself" She shrugged and grinned.

"You said it best, sis" You smiled and took a bite out of yours. "Listen, Lexi, there's something i really want to tell you"

"Huh? What it is it?" She asked curiously as she put down her food to listen to you.

"It's just...we've known each other since forever, we've been best friends since we were kids and the fact that you now fight crime, it's amazing!" You had known Lexi all your life pretty much but you had only been introduced to the rest of the guys through her and you felt truly honoured to know them.

"Yeah, i guess it is" She chuckled as she thought of how her whole life had changed dramatically since that meteor struck last year.

"It is, and it's really challenged me, i really want to do something to help others like you do, i know i don't have any super powers like you do but i really want to give something"

"Hmm" She had been listening intently to your speech and was now considering what you were saying. "Well we'll talk about it later with the rest of the guys, it'd be great to have you as a member of the team or even just helping in someway"

"Aww, thanks bestie"

"Hmm, i don't know, after all, she doesn't have any awesome powers like i, i mean we do" Danger duck harshly criticized.

"Eh, give her half a chance, Danger! I'm sure she'll be useful in some way" Ace quickly came to your defence from the dumb duck.

"Yeah! I just want to do something! Anything!" You stood there, eagerly hoping that the team could find something useful about you.

"Do you have any skills or anything? Strengths in a certain area or knowledge about anything?" Tech stood there and quizzed you.

"Hmm" You thought about it for a moment. "I do have a phd in science" You stated proudly. "But i don't see what good that will do"

"Science, eh? Well then perhaps you COULD be of some use after all! (y/n), how would you like to assist me with my inventions?" the coyote offered.

"Ohthat'dbegreat!Imagineithavinganothersupergeniusaroundtheplace,imeantechssmart,realsmartbuteveryoneneedshelpandi'mtheonlyotherwhocankeepupwithimsoi'msurehe'dappreciateyourassistance!" Rev fidgeted and giggled excitedly and clapped his hands.

"Yeah!" Slam nodded fiercely in agreement.

"Yes, thank you, Rev" Tech rolled his eyes and gave a good natured grin. "So what do you say, (y/n)?"

"I would love to!" You smiled and shook his hand eagerly.

"Good, well it's settled then"

[Present time]

"(Y/n)? (y/n)!" Tech cried as he waved his hand in front of your dazed face.

"What?" You suddenly came out of your dream sequence and returned to the real world where your frustrated partner was standing. "Oh, sorry, Tech, i don't know what came over me, i just had my mind on something"

"Well could please return your attention to this invention we're supposed to be working on?"

"Of course" 

As hard as you tried, it was hard to concentrate on anything else when he was around. He was so smart and charming and handsome you thought, but you persevered and kept your on work until you were both done.

"Ah!" He exclaimed as he took off his goggles and put down his power tool. "Now this is going to be revolutionary! Just what we need to save acmetropolis from the invaders!"

"It's awesome!" You laughed as you also marvelled at the finished machine.

"It's one of my best yet! They'll all think I'm such a genius! And you too, (y/n), i really couldn't have done this without you" He smiled lovingly at you, making you go red.

"Well thank you! But you're really the brains of this project, you're really smart" You admitted.

"Well i can't argue with that, but seriously, give yourself more credit! Everyone will see just how intelligent you are now!" 

"Really?"

"Of course, it was only a matter of time, and they already see how pretty you are" He blurted out.

"Wait, what?"

"Uh, i was just being polite, no need to make this weird" He chuckled awkwardly.

"You honestly think I'm pretty?" Your face lit up. You then threw your arms around him and gave him a much wanted hug. He looked surprised at first but put his arms around you and hugged back before breaking away and then kissing him. You eventually both pulled away and smiled as this was what you both wanted.

"I love you, (y/n), i always have"

"I love you too, Tech"

"I know. Now come on! We both have a city to save!"
