IV

ONE month goes by way too quickly for Jane. She and Eggsy had stopped being so awkward and finally got back to their unusual chill friendship which made her happier than ever. He was always at her apartment which she was appreciative of. She hated that Dean always picked a fight with Eggsy and when Dean picked a fight so did his backup and son.

Rottweiler had still hit on Jane almost every single day but he no longer touched her so she couldn't really complain.

Jane has gotten closer with Eggsy's friends Jamal, Ryan, and Brandon also over time. She loved them all. They were like older annoying brothers. Well of course not Eggsy. Her feeling were still there and she tried to ignore them every single day.

The group sits in the almost empty pub drinking their pints as Eggsy tells them what just happened when he left his apartment.

"If Dean treats your mum so bad, why don't she leave him?"

Jamal glances over at Ryan before shrugging, "Low self-esteem, that's her problem."

Jane slaps the back of Jamal's head making him flinch and rub his throbbing scalp.

Brandon laughs, "Fuck off. Why would she have low self-esteem? Eggsy's mum is well fit."

Ryan and Jamal laugh. Jane smiles as Eggsy frowns and slightly shivers in disgust.

"No offense, bruv."

Eggsy shrugs, "It's all right. One of these days, I'm gonna smash his face in."

Jane frowns as she looks at Eggsy's serious face.

"Eggs..."

Jamal stares wide eyed, "Are you mental, cuz? He'd just get that lot to do you and then pretend he knew nothing..."

He points to the group of guys sitting at another table just as they look over at him.

"...about it."

Everyone notices the group is Rottweiler and his groupies. Jamal sighs and whispers sorry to Eggsy as Rottweiler stands up and makes his way over to the table.

"Oi! You think you can chat shit about us and we won't do nothing just 'cause our guvnor's banging Eggsy's mum?"

Eggsy smirks, "Pretty much, yeah."

Ryan shakes his head, "Bruv, just leave it. Let's just go, man. It's not worth it."

"You boys have outstayed your welcome. Leave. But the girl can stay."

Jane scoffs and rolls her eyes. She stands and places a hand on his chest. As he stares down at her distracted by her beauty she reaches her hand in his pocket.

"Rottweiler I've told you once and I'll tell you a million more times... not interested. I like men... not little boys."

He makes an annoyed face as the guys all laugh. Poodle chuckles also making Rottweiler glare at him, so he shuts up immediately.

"Listen here you bitch-"

Suddenly Eggsy stands up and grabs Jane's waist moving her behind him. He stands firm chest to chest with Rottweiler as Ryan and Jamal leave. Brandon stays behind to make sure Eggsy doesn't do anything stupid.

Rottweiler growls slightly as he glares down at Eggsy, "What?"

Eggsy glares then suddenly smiles, "I'm sorry about that, bruv."

Jane frowns as he turns and starts to leave.

"Let's go Jane."

Brandon follows Eggsy out the pub as Rottweiler nods and chuckles to himself.

"Yeah. Mug."

Jane hurries and follows the boys out but not before calling out to the pub owner Tim.

"I'm calling it a night Tim!"

"Alright be careful!"

Ryan kicks rocks as they walk out the pub, "They weren't fucking worth it, boys. And girl."

Jane chuckles as she rubs her arms. Eggsy quickly takes off his jacket puts it over Jane's shoulders. Jane looks at him in question but he just waves his hand. She smiles sheepishly and puts her arms through the sleeves.

Eggsy stops walking making everyone freeze and turn to look at him, "Oy... It's freezing. Why are we walking?"

Everyone laughs as he holds up car keys.

Jamal claps, "You jacked his fucking car keys, bruv?"

"Yeah. Now we're gonna nick his car."

He unlocks Rottweiler's car then opens the door, letting Jane crawl into the passenger seat. The rest of the group all slide into the back.

Ryan slaps the back of the driver seat, "Fucking... Shit. Move, bruv!"

Jane takes something out her pocket which reminds her of why she even had her hand near Rottweiler.

"Hey! Anyone hungry?"

The boys all cheer as Jane holds up Rottweilers wallet in the air. Eggsy smirks as Jane sticks her tongue out at him.

Rottweiler stops taking as he hears a car engine revving outside.

"Hold on, boys."

He walks out the pub and sees Eggsy and his friends swerving the car around the parking lot.

"Hey, that's my fucking car! Hey! Hey! Eggsy, I swear, you want to fucking stop it! You're a fucking dead man! Stop it! I'm gonna fuckin' have ya!"

Ryan holds his hand out the window and throws up his middle finger, "Come on. Floor it, Eggsy! Floor it!"

Jane leans out the window and holds up his wallet making him stare wide eyes with his mouth hanging open.

"Thanks for dinner you wanker!"

Eggsy can't help but take a quick peek at Jane's behind as she leans out the window. She was wearing high shorts which showed off a small bit of her butt. He quickly shakes his head and looks away.

Jane finally sits back down as Eggsy drives off. Rottweiler calls Dean immediately as he watches his car disappear.

"Yeah, yeah, Dean, look, it's me. Eggsy just stole my fucking car, yeah. Yeah, I've come out the pub, he's done about 15 doughnuts in my fucking face, and he's drove off. Not to mention his fucking girlfriend stole my wallet. That ducking bitch! Yeah the one who works at the bar. No, I can't have it! He's disrespecting me, and that means he's disrespecting you."

His words freeze in his mouth as he sees the police chasing Eggsy and his friends in his car.

"Oh, hold up! What the..."

The police chase Eggsy as he drives the car backwards down a few blocks. Jane laughs as Eggsy maneuvers professionally down the road. Her hair flows in the wind as he speeds away faster and faster from the cops. Eggsy glances over at Jane and smiles as he sees her big grin. Her laugh was like heaven to him. He was literally becoming whipped and the two weren't even together.

Eggsy looks in the rear view mirror and frowns as he sees something in the road. He holds out his arm in front of Jane as he crashes into another car trying to avoid hitting a fox crossing the street.

"Come on, Eggsy!"

"Dickhead."

Jamal rubs his head as he swears, "Foxes are vermin, cuz. Should've driven it over."

Eggsy glares as his fists tighten on the wheel. He makes sure Jane is okay before he moves his arm from her chest.

"Should've done a lot of things. I'll sort this. Get out of the car."

The guys hesitate before getting out. Brandon yanks open Jane's door but she doesn't move.

"I said, get out of the fucking car!"

Jane doesn't even flinch, "No! What the fuck Eggsy? You're going to get I'm so much trouble! You want to take all the blame?!"

"I should. It was my idea. My fault. I drove the car. Now go!"

"Eggs..."

Eggsy catches a small bleeding cut on her eyebrow and starts fuming. He was angry at himself for letting her get hurt, even if it was just a small cut.

"Take her!"

Brandon yanks her out the car as she fights back trying to get out of his arms.

"Brandon what the fuck? Let go!"

The guys pull her and start to run down an alleyway as Eggsy drives into the police car. They hide and watch as Eggsy is placed in the back of a cop car and taken to the police station.

...

Jane sighs as she leans against the brick wall outside the police department. She had been standing and waiting for anything. She was so scared that Eggsy would be locked up. If anything she should be blamed too. She stole Rottweilers wallet. Of course not as criminal as crashing a stolen car and then driving into a police car. But still. She had half a mind to walk straight in there and then herself in but she fought against it.

Instead the station, Eggsy is being interrogated by a regular policeman that he was familiar with.

"Eggsy, there is no such thing as honor amongst thieves. Now, you can start giving me some names of the boys you were with and don't forget the little lady... or you go down. It's up to you."

Eggsy smirks, "I want to exercise my right to a phone call."

The Policeman sighs, "Well, I hope it's to your mum, to tell her you're gonna be 18 months late for your dinner."

As the policeman leaves the room, Eggsy takes out the medal he wears around his neck and calls the number on the back.

"Customer Complaints, how may I help you?"

Eggsy frowns, "Um... my name's Eggsy Unwin. Sorry, Gary Unwin. And I'm up shit creek. I'm in Holborn police station, and my mum said to call this number if ever I needed help and..."

"I'm sorry, sir. Wrong number."

Eggsy starts to freak out. This was his one call. His only way out of here.

"Wait! Wait! Oxfords not brouges?"

"Your complaint has been duly noted, and we hope that we have not lost you as a loyal customer."

Eggsy stares at the phone in shock then groans and slams his head on the table. The policeman interrogating Eggsy gets a call as he smokes outside the station.

"Yeah. You what? I... Yeah. Yes, I totally understand."

He walks back into the station angry.

Jane continues to stand watching the cars go by. She hadn't heard anything about Eggsy and she was really about to start freaking out. She's so in her head, that she doesn't even hear a man walking up to her and standing beside her.

She finally comes out of her inner turmoil and notices an older man maybe in his early forties, standing beside her. He wore a neat black suit with a nice tie and stood holding a briefcase. His fluffy hair was black lightly peppered with grey and his eyes green. She quickly looks away as she sees him glance at her through his black spectacles.

Frowning, she feels his eyes on her but she chooses to just stay silent. After a minute goes by and she can still tell that he is staring at her, she decides to say something.

"I'm sorry do I have something on my face?"

The man looks at her slightly shocked yet smiles, "Oh no. I'm quite sorry. You just remind of someone I used to know."

"Oh..."

Before either one of them can speak another word, Eggsy walks out the station looking around confused.

"Eggs!"

Eggsy freezes in his spot and turns around to see Jane standing nearby. He smiles at her as she runs up to him. She leaps into his arms and hugs him tightly. He lightly rubs her back as he feels her shaking.

"It's okay Jane. I'm okay."

"I don't think I would survive if you were taken away."

Jane already knew she should've taken that back as soon as it came out of her mouth. She pulls back from the hug and watches his smile turn into a smirk.

"Taken away and put in jail you moron."

"Sure sure."

A throat clears interrupting the two. Jane had almost forgot that the man was still standing there. Why was he standing there?

The man looks back and forth between Jane and Eggsy with a light frown.

Eggsy's eyebrows furrow one confusion as he looks at the man in the suit. He feels like he had seen the man before but he can't think of where.

"Eggsy. Would you two like a lift home?"

Eggsy pulls Jane close to him as he stands firm, "Who are you?"

Harry eyes Eggsy's arm before raising an eyebrow, "The man who got you released."

"That ain't an answer."

"A little gratitude would be nice. My name is Harry Hart, and I gave you that medal. Your father saved my life."
