"I've Done It"
A drabble written in 2018

"I've done it."

I told him proudly,

He was standing in front of me. For a moment, I didn't get a reaction from him. I waited patiently, letting it all sink in for him. It slowly dawned on him that I did it... and it was successful.

He took a step forward. There was a small warm smile on his face, making me beam back at him as well. He continued to approach me until there was barely any distance between us anymore. He pulled me into a hug.

"That's great. I'm proud if you. Thank you." He whispered sweetly, voice like honey.

I didn't know what happened. I never saw it coming. There was a sudden shift and suddenly I was with a stranger. It was as if I've never known him.

The expression on his face was warm and welcoming a while ago. Now it's all cold. It sent shivers down my spine.

I felt something cover my eyes. Everything turned black; I couldn't see a thing. I felt his thin bony hands wrapping loosely around my neck.

"Now that I got what I wanted from you, I can dispose of you now." He let out a chuckle. "You didn't expect this, didn't you? You thought I actually cared about you."

He gripped on my neck, his hold becoming tighter.

"Well you thought wrong..."

I couldn't breathe. I felt him grip even more harshly, crushing my throat until I let out my last breath.
