Walking back to Aslan's How was probably the most silent I heard Peter this whole journey. Once we got inside Lucy came running towards us.
"What happened?" She asks Peter
"Ask him" Peter says nodding towards Caspian
"Peter" I warn
"Me? You could've called it off. There was still time" he tells him
"No there wasn't, thanks to you. If you kept to the plan, those soldiers might be alive right now" Peter snaps
"If you stayed here like I suggested they definitely would be!" Caspian yells back
"You called us remember?" Peter says
"My first mistake." Caspian answers
"No. Your first mistake was thinking you could lead these people" Peter tells him as he turns away but Caspian doesn't let him
"Hey! I am not the one who abandoned Narnia!" Caspian yells
Ok now they were both just getting petty.
"You invaded Narnia. You have no more right to lead it than Miraz does. You, him, your father. Narnias better off without the lot of you" Peter scoffs
And something snapped in Caspian. He pulls out his sword yelling while pointing it at Peter's neck, but Peter does the same pointing his at him.
Alright this has gone on long enough.
"Enough!!" I yell making both of them turn to look at me
I walk over to them both, pushing them apart.
"You are both wrong." I tell them
Then I turn to Peter
"You. I didn't want it to come to this but you have forgotten your place. I told you to call it off but you didn't let go of your pride and listen. From now on all decisions go through me first" I tell him poking his chest then I turn to Caspian
"And you. You have no right to stand here and point out our mistakes when you've made some of your own. I understand wanting to know the truth, but risking a mission to do so is not the right answer. Before you go off making some wild decisions again, it goes through me, same as I told Peter" I tell him poking his chest as well
"It's time you both grow up and stop acting like children. You're kings for goodness sakes, act like ones" I tell them before walking away
When I saw Edmund and Peter running with their swords in their hands, I knew something was wrong. And I knew it had to be Caspian.
"Éla" I say taking off running as I catch my sword
Once I get there I see the white witch, Caspian and Peter standing in front of her
"Peter! Caspian!" I yell as I see him reaching out his hand.
Then the ice breaks into tiny pieces, and reveals Edmund holding a sword on the other side.
"I know. You had it sorted" Edmund says to Peter before walking off
Edmund walks past with Susan right behind me.
Caspian and Peter both turn to look at me, but all they saw was a disappointed look on my face. Aslan, I sure am putting a lot of faith in you.
I walk up the rocks to see Caspian sitting there alone with his thought.
"May I join?" I speak up and he turns to look at me before giving a slight nod
"Forgive me, I let my anger take over my actions, it was my fault" he tells me after I sit down
"Yes. Anger wins most of the time. But, in the end we all have a choice, and what matters is that we acknowledge our wrongs and make them right. Not many people people apologize for their actions the same hour Caspian" I tell him and he gives me a grateful nod
After a few moments in silence he spoke up again.
"My professor, he used to tell me story's of the Queens and Kings of old. But no matter how many he told me, my favorite was the story of how High Queen Cora, took down the white witch, but yet she didn't kill her. For she knew her life was not hers to take" he tells me as if he was reading it from a book
"How did you control yourself? All she did to Edmund and you, how did you not kill her when you had the chance? That story amazed me because I could never quite understand" He asks me as I let a small chuckle escape my lips
"Aslan has taught me many things, one being believing in myself. I don't know how I did it, no words could truly explain that. But I felt as if magic ran through my body, telling me the exact moves to make. And instead of doubting it, I believed it. I listened to myself and it turned out to be true. You have to look deep inside yourself to truly understand how to believe yourself. It may take time, but in the end, you'll get there" I smile at him
He turns and smiles back at me as we kept eye contact for a long while
"Thank you Cora, truly" he smiles
"I'm here anytime if you need to talk" I tell him until something caught my eye
Worry instantly fills my face, Caspian follows my gaze. Looking at thousands of Telmarines lining up, with swords, and shields, and all types of weapons.
"We must tell the rest" I say quickly before we both run back inside
