"So Princess what is the news you wanna share?’’ that question from dad froze me. It’s now or never I have to tell them.

"Yeah umm I got approved by a company" I said

‘’Wow that’s a  great Princess’’ dad said

‘’CONGRATULATIONS Win’’ Steph screamed attacking me with a huge hug

‘’Congrats Princess’’ Vis said with a smile

‘’I’m proud of you baby’’ Mom said holding my hand

‘’Finally’’ Kenny smirked

‘’I always knew you could do it I’m really proud of you baby sis’’ Francis smiled at me

‘’So what company is that? And where is it?’’ by now I already have everyones attention, they all left their food to stare at me. I felt like rolling my eyes at that

‘’It's the V.S Corps’’ I waited for their reaction

‘’what do you mean?’’ Dad said

‘’V.S Corps?’’Vis scowled

‘’Which V.S Corps?’’ and that was Kenny

‘’Oh they have a branch in New York? I never knew’’ said Steph frowning cluelessly

‘’No it’s in Italy’’ I mumbled

‘’Be audible Princess’’ Dad said looking me in the eyes

‘’It’s in Italy’’ I said loud enough. There was silence

‘’Oh’’ Steph was the first to speak

‘’Italy ?  Why would you apply for a job in Italy? Nevermind it’s okay. It’s not like you will be taking the job.’’ He said then drank his water nonchalantly.

‘’I accepted the job already’’

‘’Well you better reject it’’ said Kenny

‘’Your brother is right’’ dad said

‘’No I won’t, I wanna work there that’s why I applied please don’t force me to drop this because I really want it’’ I said all in one breath looking at them all.

‘’I'm really proud of you baby. I know how difficult it is for people to get a job there it will be a wonderful experience for yo…... mom said smiling at me when dad cut her off.

"NO! stop giving her ideas. She isn’t moving to Italy. Don’t fight me on this Princess I won’t sit and watch my only daughter move to a different country all because of a stupid job. That won’t happen. I don’t wanna hear this again’’ he stood up and left the dinning.

‘’Forget about this you will get another job…..’’Vis tried to convince me but I cut him off with a small and trembling voice.

‘’No, I want this one, cant you all just support me on this big step I wanna take in my life? I have never wanted anything this much I …….’’ I took a deep breath and rubbed my chest to ease the flash of pain I felt.

‘’Are you ok Princess?’’ mom asked. My brothers all stepped towards me concerned.

‘’I’m ok’’ I walked out of the dinning before anybody else could say something.

I went to my room and lied on my bed with my eyes closed hoping for the ache in my chest to pass quickly.
What was I really expecting from them? I knew something like this might happen but it still doesn’t make it hurt less.

GRACE POV

‘’Was that necessary?’’ I said to my husband the moment I stepped into our bedroom, he was sitting on the bed and he was clearly in a deep thought. Seeing  our daughter so hopeful and excited about this job then losing that hope because her father wouldn’t approve is really sad and heartbreaking. I won’t let my child get hurt like that because of her father and brothers overprotectiveness.

‘’What are you talking about’’ he acted innocent I glared at him.

‘’Why would you say that to her, this is her happy moment and you stole that from her’’I told him while pacing around the walk-in closet to get ready for a bath and nightly routine.

‘’You know I didn’t mean it like that, I’m just trying to protect her, after what happened to her I don’t want that to happen again’’He said with his head down playing with his finger, god this father and daughter are so much alike. Winnie also does that when she is nervous or in a deep thought.

‘’I understand but it’s hurting her too, there are many ways to protect her without tying her down. She will hate you’’I stood in front of him.

He looked heartbroken I wanted to take back my word but I needed him to understand the gravity of his decision.

‘’I will think about it’’

‘’Well you better think fast her interview is on Tuesday’’i told him going into the bathroom

‘’What! That soon?’’ he asked

‘’Yeah and while thinking, think about the possibility of sleeping in the guest room for two months if you refuse again’’ I said seriously while bringing my head a little out of the bathroom door. I didn't wait to hear his response before closing the door.
