Coffee (Part 1)

Suho takes a deep breath as he is finally face to face with the cafe he wanted to work for. He already did his interview with one of the workers at this cafe and today was supposedly the day he meets the owner.

Suho opens the door and is immediately greeted by the smell of freshly baked muffins and freshly brewed coffee.

"Hey kid! Over here!" Suho looks around for the voice until he spots a girl with blonde hair and milky skin.

He walks to the kitchen where the voice came from and he bows. The lady chuckles and wipes her hand before taking Suho's hands for a shake.

"No need to bow. We're only 2 years apart." The lady surprisingly had a soothing voice that was perfect for singing. Suho bows by accident and he mentally curses himself for doing that.

"I-I'm sorry. Are you perhaps the owner?" Suho stuttered for a bit before he took a deep breath to calm himself. The lady laughs whole heartedly and she shakes her head.

"No, no. I'm not the owner but you can call me the owner's best friend. Kim Taeyeon. Nice to meet you Suho"

Suho widens his eyes. "H-how do you know my name?" The lady chuckles again and he points at the folder at the counter behind the latter.

"Saw your file. We're gonna get along well. Don't worry I don't bite," Taeyeon says as she tries to comfort the obvious nervous latter.

Suho smiles a little and asks her if he could borrow an apron and help her baking the rest of the desserts and finish brewing the rest of the coffee.

A few hours passed and Suho was completely drained from moving desserts places to places with their trays while Taeyeon was dancing to some song called "I".

Suho looks at the time and it showed 7:30 am.

"Noona! When does this cafe open?"

"What time is it?" Taeyeon yells back and Suho looks at the clock one more time before shouting "7:32 am"

"We're opening in less than 30 minutes! Get ready! Wash your hands and grab a couple of cups and small plates."

Suho yells back an okay and washes his hands and gets the needed cups and small plates. He places them at the counter behind the cashier's place.

Taeyeon stands next to him and gives him instructions on how to run the cashier spot and how to make cold drinks while Taeyeon runs the dessert and hot drinks.

"I'm handling the orders and cold drinks?!" Taeyeon nods. Suho stares at the older girl in shock.

"You'll trust me?!" Taeyeon pats her back and smiles. Suho still has his mouth open and eyes wide.

"What a strange cafe," he whispers to himself. Suho looks at the clock and there it showed '7:58 am'.

"Showtime!" Taeyeon yells. Suho stretches his arms and rolls his neck around. "Showtime," he whispers to himself.

Hours later and it was finally close to closing time. The cafe closes at 8:00 pm and suho was glad it was no more than 15 minutes before closing time.

Suho sighs as he stretches his back and yawns. First day of the job and he's already drained.

"I know the feeling kid. You'll get use to it," Taeyeon states. Suho gives her a little before the bell rings and the door opens. Suho looks at the clock and it was already 8:00.

"I'm sorry miss..." as suho looks up he's met with the face of his ex girlfriend.

"Tiffany" the latter whispers.
