AFTER THE COPS HAD LEFT Happy had tried for hours to get something out of the man they had kept in the back; but nothing. This guy had been one loyal fucker and would've rather died, which in the end happened, killed by none other than him before Tig made sure to get rid of his body.
It was almost the early hours of the morning when he slipped into his room, grunting annoyedly under his breath as Julia waited for him, her naked body tangled in the blanket and sheets. She stirred awake the moment he slammed the door shut and kicked his shoes off, not giving a damn if he woke her up.
"Baby hey..I've been waiting for you", she cooed, only filling his annoyance as she once again pretended they were more than they actually were. "Come to bed, you need sleep."
She looked up at him through batting eyelashes, still sleepy and reeking of booze. She hadn't been the only one sitting at the bar after the clubhouse got attacked. Her glassy, bloodshot eyes also told him that she had smoked his joint that was in the ashtray on the nightstand.
Happy grunted again, running a hand over his tired face. He wasn't a smoker, but every now and then he smoked a joint, trying to calm his never-ending thoughts. "If you smoke my shit at least make sure to leave me some."
"Iᅳ I'm sorry", Julia stammered, playing dumb again. She crawled out of bed, revealing her naked body that wasn't really doing much to Happy, his thoughts on a completely different person. "Come to bed and I'll make it up to you, okay?"
"Just get the hell out", Happy growled lowly as her arms snaked around his neck, her body snuggling against his.
The SAA took her arms from around his neck and disappeared into the bathroom without another word to take a shower, after all he still had the other's bodily fluids all over him, leaving Julia whining.
When he was done he didn't bother to put on clothes and stepped out of the bathroom only to find out that Julia was more persistent than he liked. There she lay, still naked and on his bed, a strand of hair wrapped around her finger.
His mind wandered, his gaze down her body, imagining it was someone else. He always did that, every fuckin' timeᅳ he just couldn't get Randi out of his head. And then it happened, his cock twitched just at the thought of his her.
He had loved the woman so much, still did, and hated her at the same time because she was still haunting his mind. But how couldn't she? He had wanted to marry her back then, they lived together and had planned a future. But he had to try to get her out of his system.
"Are you coming to bed now, baby?" Julia's sultry voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
Again no answer, instead Happy tried to push the thoughts aside before he would see Randi soon anyway, after all his alarm would ring in two hours so he could leave as soon as the sun came up.
Grabbing Julia's ankles he pulled her into position and settled between her legs before he buried himself inside her, as he often did while imagining Randi beneath him, his hand pressed firmly over Julia's mouth while he fucked her brains out.
He didn't need to hear her exaggerated moans, it would only make it harder to imagine Randi while listening to that fake ass, porn movie moaning. His face was, as always, buried in Julia's hair, knowing that she always wore the perfume he had given her months agoᅳ Randi's perfume; which Julia even knew.
It was like this at least three times a week, whenever he felt the need for his Old Lady; who was now in Seattle, had broken his heart and her own as well, he knew that. Happy had never doubted her words that night she broke up with him; and yet it still hurt like shit to let her go.

AS RANDI WALKED INTO THE HOUSE and the smell of one of her favorite meals, a simple Chinese dish, enveloped her, the guilt she felt only grew. Chewing the inside of her cheek, a letter clutched in her hand, she walked into the kitchen and swallowed softly at the sight that always filled her chest with warmth.
It wasn't unusual for Happy to stand behind the stove and cook for her, he loved to spoil her; he didn't even care if the others teased him for that, the SAA always made sure that the roles were divided fairly and that she wasn't the only one who had to do all the chores at home. In fact, she was the chaos queen and he was the neat freak.
As he turned around, he greeted her with a small smile and placed the spatula on a plate next to the pan. Turning off the flame, he strolled over to her.
"How was shopping with Tara?" His hands cupped her face before his lips met hers, pulling her into a loving, longing kiss that had Randi immediately snuggling up against him, her muscles relaxing right away. As they pulled apart, Happy looked down at her. "Already hungry?"
"Pretty goodᅳ we bought way too many presents for Abel", she whispered against his lips with a grin, forgetting for a moment that she was about to ruin the whole evening with the news she had. "Sure, I'm always hungry, especially when you cook."
"Sounds like I need to do that more often", he chuckled, pressing another kiss to her lips before stepping back a little so she could put down her bag and get rid of her leather jacket. "What did you get for Abel? Was the money enough?"
"Yeah, the money was enoughᅳ but you know I would've also paid for the presents he gets from us", the brunette noted, but she also knew that Happy wouldn't let her pay anyway. "So what did I do to deserve my favorite meal? Did you do something I need to know about?"
Happy's grin grew at the cheeky glint in Randi's eyes before he shook his head slightly and crossed his arms as he leaned against the kitchen island. "Nope, just wanted to spoil my Old Lady. What's that?"
Randi just chuckled quietly and gathered her hair together, pushing it to one side. When Happy pointed to the letter, she sucked on her teeth before a sigh slipped past her lips. "We need to talk, Hap. And I don't think you'll like it."
Her heart was already aching at the thought of possibly losing him, the man she loved more than anything. Their relationship was perfect. Sure, they argued sometimes because they were both stubborn as hell, but that was a rarity. They had only moved into this house together half a year ago, both of them thinking that after more than two years of being together, it was time.
Both were immediately enthusiastic about the house and quickly made a decision. And their future was planned. No kids, preferring to be the cool aunt and uncle for Jax' and Tara's kids. Happy wanted to open a tattoo studio soon and she dreamed of opening a dance studio here in Charming one dayᅳ but she still had to save money for that. And until that she'd keep working at TM.
She wore his crow and a smiley tattoo on her ring finger as a symbol that she belonged to him, that she accepted his dark side. And he wore her name on his skin, right over his heart between his other tattoos.
They were an unbeatable team, they accepted the other as they were, with all their flawsᅳ and losing him was the last thing Randi wanted; but her dream could finally come true.
"What is it?", asked Happy, now visibly tense. He pushed himself away from the kitchen island and let his arms sink as he strode towards his Old Lady. "What kind of letter is that, Randi?"
"Do you remember when I applied to be a choreographer and dance teacher at a dance studio in Seattle four years ago? The one with the contacts to all the famous dance studios?", she asked, her voice already trembling under Happy's intense gaze.
"Yeah, and?", he asked impatiently. "What about it?"
"Babe, this is probably my only chance to get to live my dream", she continued in a whisper, the first tears rolling down her rosy cheeks, her mascara already leaving streaks. "Apparently they finally have a free position and they want me. Iᅳ I never thought that after so many years someone would actually answer. They said I could start next week", she explained, her voice cracking and her heart breaking as Happy was at a loss of words, tears gathering in his own eyes; but of course he wouldn't let them fall. "You could come with me. Please Hap..I want you and only you, but this..I've wanted this since I was a little girl."
She could hear and see Happy swallow, his jaw clenched tightly as the muscles in it twitched; a sign that he was angry, disappointed, or about to lose his shit any second. It didn't scare her, it just hurt her further.
"Happy..please say something, anything", Randi pleaded before folding her hands over her mouth and nose, a sob escaping her lips and her eyes widening as Happy pulled a small box out of his jeans pocket and threw it on the kitchen island.
"You wanna know why I cooked today?", he asked as he stopped close to her, his voice dropping as the disappointment in his eyes became obvious. "I didn't just want to spoil you. I planned the whole fuckin' thing out, wanted to ask you to marry meᅳ guess our relationship isn't as important to you as it is to me, huh?"
Randi grabbed his arm as he pushed past her, slamming his shoulder into hers. "Happy please listen to me! Our relationship is just as important to me, I love you! Butᅳ"
"I don't' want to fuckin' hear it, Randi", the SAA barked, visibly hurt; which always turned into anger. Yanking his arm out of her grasp, he just looked down at her with a huff, shaking his head. "Just live your dream if that's what you want more. We talked about this, you said you're happy here, that you're not thinking about leaving anymore."
Randi choked on her own tears, sniffling heavily as she followed Happy into the hallway where he slipped into his boots and Kutte. "I know, and I thought I was okay with giving up my dreamᅳ but I can't. Please just come with me, Hap! Tacoma is close, you couldᅳ"
Happy cut her off by sweeping some pictures off the shelf in the hallway, sending them to the floor with a loud clatter. "Our life, our family; everything is here in Charming, woman! We had fuckin' everything. It's up to you if you want to give that up or not."
"I want both! Is that so wrong?" Clutching her chest, another sob tore through her. The brunette tried to keep up with Happy's pace as he stormed out of the house and toward his bike. "Happy wait!"
But it was too late. Already on his bike, the SAA started the engine without even looking at Randi, too hurt to continue this conversation calmly. She was slipping out of his hands and he just couldn't handle the thought of breaking up, making him wonder why he had even gotten involved in all this; he should've known better.
But the answer was simple; because he loved Randi, more than anything else.
Her sobs literally shattering his heart, he backed out of the driveway and rode down the street. Glancing at his side mirror, he watched Randi run into the road but stop when she realized she had no chance of keeping up with him.
This couldn't be the end of their relationship, this had to be a bad dream he just couldn't wake up from.
But sadly, that's exactly what it had been. A break up that had followed a day later.
FLASHBACK OVER
HAPPY DIDN'T THINK about getting any more sleep, too awake now to even try. His last conversation with Randi was constantly replaying in his head, which put him in a bad mood. "Get out, I gotta leave soon."
Somewhat perplexed, Julia placed a hand on his chest and pushed herself up, her large breasts brushing against his skin. "But we still have some time."
"I don't have the patience for this shit right now, woman", Happy grumbled as he sat up, pushing the woman away. Reaching for the remaining joint in the ashtray, he placed it between his lips and lit the lighter. "Do I have to repeat myself?"
"No, it's fine", Julia mumbled as she slowly slid off the bed and rubbed her arm up and down. "Do you really have to stay with your ex? I don't like this, Happy."
The SAA lifted an eyebrow, slowly letting the smoke slide past his lips, the thick white cloud floating in front of his face before evaporating in the air. "You think I give a shit what you like or not? Get out, I gotta pack."
A loud scoff slipped past Julia's lips. With a scowl, she burned holes in his skull and crossed her arms like a child. "Don't talk to me like that, I'm not some bimbo you can push around. I thought we wereᅳ"
Julia flinched as Happy spun his head around after rolling the ash of the joint off in the ashtray, silencing her with a single look. "That's exactly what you are, a croweater. Now get lost before I throw your ass out of here myself."
"Fuck you, Happy!" Gathering up her clothes, Julia stormed towards the door, not caring that she was wearing nothing. Her hand was already resting on the doorknob when she turned back to him and met his unfazed but annoyed gaze. "Go find someone else to suck your cock in the future."
Happy almost rolled his eyes, once again fed up with the drama that Julia constantly brought into his life. And despite that, he needed someone next to him, someone he could hold at night and pretend it was Randi. But in truth, Julia was nothing more than a croweater, a cock warmer for lonely nights.
ᅳ
TWO HOURS LATER, Happy slung his duffel bag over his shoulder, the Reaper adorning his back with a thick black hoodie underneath to protect him from the wind. His boots thumped against the floor as he made his way into the main room.
It was still chaos everywhere but a few Croweaters, including Julia, who only shot him dirty looks, cleaning up. Happy just grunted something incomprehensible under his breath, done with the Julia dramaᅳ he definitely had to put an end to this when he got back; although he didn't owe the woman any accountability.
On his way out, Anne walked towards him after she just got out of her car, tiredness and concern from staying at the hospital with Gemma and Jax all night written all over her face. The keys jingled in her hand as her steps quickened and she came to a stop in front of Happy, smiling weakly at the SAA.
"Take care of my niece, okay?", she asked before pulling the much taller man into a hug, sighing softly as he squeezed her slim body. "And talk to her already; you two need to find a solution."
"There is no solution and you know it." Happy pulled back and stowed his duffel bag on the bike, grabbing his helmet. When Anne looked at him sternly, he just grunted. "Don't get involved in this. Randi and I have nothing to talk about, that's all you need to know."
Anne lifted her hands in surrender, her face slightly twisted with doubt. As different as Clay and his younger sister were, they still had a certain similarity. "I'm just saying, but it's up to you what you guys do in these few days you now have together."
"Jesus Anne, finally leave the man alone", Clay said with a smirk as he came up behind Happy and pulled him into a brotherly hug. "Take care of yourself and my daughterᅳ maybe even bring her home with you."
"Don't think she'll come back with me", Happy grumbled as he mounted his bike and put on his helmet and sunglasses. "But I can try. In any case, I promise you she'll be safe with me."
"I have no doubts about that, brother", Clay answered sincerely, knowing that his daughter was safest with Happy. "Oh, and tell her I wanted to head up there myself but couldn't."
"You can hardly ride anymore, Clay, she knows that", Anne interjected, hands braced against her hips as she squinted her eyes at the rising sun. "Drive carefully and come back whole."
"I'll let her know", he promised Clay as he started the engine and rolled back a little, winking at Anne. "Always."
He returned Anne's small grin as she stepped aside so Happy could pull out of the parking space. After exchanging a few words with Clay, his short trip to Seattle began, not sure if he was looking forward to it.
