Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 9 — Pᴀʀᴛ 2 : Lᴏᴠᴇ ʙᴇʏᴏɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ʟɪᴍɪᴛs ᴏғ ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ

3rd person's POV

"So there really is going to be a war just for killing us..."

(Y/n) looks at the pair of sneakers that Endorsi has lent her at her feet, wondering. Bam puts a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"They attacked us first, you don't need to ask yourself any questions.
- You're right, Bam, thank you. Then I got enough reason to attack them, but... I was wondering if that's how my foster mom and Mr. Yu died..."

Bam looks at the guide, a little surprised. "Doesn't she know how they died?", he thinks. He looks at (Y/n) who looks away from her sneakers towards him.

"One day, we left the floor of death. We had to, Hell Joe had become a threat to us... When we left the floor of death, it was the first time I'd seen outside, the fake shinsu sky for in a long time ago. I'll always remember that day. It was snowing and so cold that my whole body was freezing. But it didn't take long before the snow was stained with blood. Jahad's army attacked us, and Mr. Yu and my foster mother protected me."

The dark-haired boy listens attentively to her story without saying anything, but something comes to his mind.

"But how did you escape ?
- Mr. Yu had contacted someone. That person saved me. He wanted to help Mr. Yu and my mother but they ordered him to go far away from here with me. That's how I survived...
- Hansung Yu is in the FUG but his father was in it too? — asks Bam
- Yes. It was someone from the FUG who saved me... His name was Jinsung Ha."

Bam seems surprised and smiles like a child when he hears his master's name, remembering the time he spent with him.

"So he saved you too...
- Yes, he did... I heard he was your master and that you saw him again before you got on the train from Khun. I wish I'd seen him again too, maybe after, if we get out alive of this train."

(Y/n) laughs with Bam in unison. They start telling each other a few anecdotes related to the high ranker while they still waiting for the signal to start the plan.

"But I'm wondering... Miss (Y/n), if the Jahad's army saw your face, why didn't they look for you before ? You didn't have red hair ?
- I already had it before... I don't really know why they never actually looked for me. — The guide shrugs her shoulders
- And that's exactly why you're gonna have to give up your red hair."

Hwaryun just arrived with them, products in her hands.

"Say goodbye to your red hair."

Hwaryun grabs her childhood friend's wrist and drags her into the next room.

"Hurry up, we only have 5 minutes left.
- But Hwaryun, what are you doing ?!"

About 3 minutes later, (Y/n) comes out with her hair tied in a ponytail, with a bright (h/c) color.

"Wow it really changes you, turtle in love ! — Rak laughs
- You should keep your hair like that afterwards, it'll be a surprise when Khun wakes up ! — Hockney smiles
- Thank you guys, but stay focused."

Everyone nods their heads and Hwaryun comes back from the other room with a mask and a box this time.

"Hwaryun, what's this again.
- Do you prefer contacts or the mask ?"

(Y/n) sighs and chooses the blue lenses. She takes the contacts box from Hwaryun's hands when the train starts moving around and begins to fall.

"Too late ! Put them on after, let's start the plan ! Endorsi !!"

Hwaryun gives the orders and Endorsi grunts before activating Bongbong.

"No need to give me orders, I know what I have to do !!"

"The train arrived early, and on top of that... The people who have been found on the train are insignificant. Why would Jahad demand to kill all the regulars on the train ? Well, it's looks like the 1st Division has finally arrived.
- What are you talking about, Cheonhee ? Wasn't just your division on that mission ?!"

Yuri looks at the woman in front of her in shock. She didn't expect to see so many people gathered.

"Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to tell you, Princess. For this mission, three of the four divisions of the 4th Squadron have been mobilized. And as we speak, Squadron Commander Kallavan is on the way to the station."

Yuri's in shock. Squadron Commander Kallavan himself was moved...

For only killing regulars ?

"Princess Yuri, you came from the train, saying you were investigating but we still can't believe you... We're going to have to arrest you too, those are the orders.
- Do you doubt about me, Cheonhee ?"

Yuri got off of the train as soon as it was stopped by the Army and fought White and Karaka to prove that she's on the Army's side.

"Yet I arrested two rankers. Why don't you let me help you, for proving my good faith ?"

The Princess of Jahad smiles at the black-haired woman next to her who holds the position of Division Commander in the 2nd Division of the 4th Squadron. Cheonhee is also the one who watched Princess Yuri grow up and trained her when she was a child.

Cheonhee took the time to ask to the assistant commander of the 4th Squadron, named Elpathion, if Yuri's presence could be accepted.

"... Okay. You have the permission to join the fight, Princess."

Yuri smiles and starts to get out of the huge flying ship. She sighs as she exits and looks at her pocket, which she has made visible, before she calls someone with it.

"Evan, we have to help them. Do what you have to do if you already get them into the station.
- All right, Princess Yuri. Take care of yourself. "

The dark-haired woman ends the call and takes Green April out of her weapons inventory.

"I hope they're okay..."

(Y/n)'s POV

I slowly open my eyes with difficulty. When the car of the train we were in started falling down, I got scared. But I was right to trust Evan's plan.

Evan activated Enna Core while Endorsi used Bongbong at the same time. Evan teleport us into the station with the entire wagon while Endorsi sent Bongbong to find Rachel and her team.

Bongbong then had to teleport Rachel's wagon instead of ours, all at the same time while the train was falling, so the Army wouldn't be noticed.

"It really worked ! I can't believe it..."

Endorsi sighs after her words and voices start to can be heard outside the wagon at the same time.

"The train...? What's it doing here ?!"

We all look at Hwaryun who is nodding to tell us that we can go.

Our group, consisting of Rak, Bam, Hwaryun, Miseng, Hockney and I get off the train. While the rest of the group immediately starts attacking, I use my lighthouses to help them and stay by Khun's side to protect him.

"They were rather weak. — Comments Endorsi
- No time to talk. (Y/n), put on your contacts and we're leaving now. We need to find a warship to get away."

Hwaryun really respects her leadership role. I take the contacts box out of my jean pocket and put them on while others ennemies come.
Several soldiers who appear to be from Jahad's army like before, but accompanied by a man with shaved hair with blond hair in some places. He finally spoke as Bam and Endorsi who moved away towards them, leaving us behind.

I can't listen to their conversation but after a while a woman's scream echoes somewhere.

"It came from underneath...!"

Hwaryun frowns and looks in the direction of Bam and Endorsi. In the distance, I see Bam jumping among the enemies with ease right after Hwaryun's look.

"What have you done Hwaryun ?
- I told him to go and save the woman. She'll be useful to us. You saw it too, didn't you ?"

I squeeze my lips against each other and let out a nervous sigh.

"I haven't had a vision since we got here...
All I can think of is a dark room with chains."

Bam's POV

"Save the women !"

"Is that Hwaryun's voice...?", I thought before jumping right in between the enemies to run towards the scream.

"Endorsi, take the lead and fight them for me please !!"

I hurriedly ran as I saw Endorsi in the distance complaining.

I get there fast enough to see a woman with her hair tied in a low ponytail holding her neck in pain.

"Stop !"

I do a shinsu sphere to launch an attack on the man in front of her and rush to her side.

"Who... Are you ?"

The woman looks at me in amazement, she seems better.

"These people... Did you kill them ?
- Oh, yeah, I did... You got a problem with that ?"

I clench my fists at the response of the man. He shouldn't have taken the lives of innocent people, he's going to pay for it.

Hwaryun's POV

We're heading a little bit later to where Endorsi and Bam were with the enemy, but still... There are no more enemies, no sign of Endorsi too.

Doesn't even surprise me.

"Where'd they go ? — Hockney looks around
- They vanished into thin air, and Endorsi too…”

I see the group looking at me. I can tell they're wondering what to do. I look around and analyze a way without soldiers to join Bam and Endorsi.

"Follow me. We're going to find them."

Everybody nods their heads and I look towards (Y/n). She floats on one of her red lighthouses next to Khun, whom she's protecting. She seems disturbed.

As I look at her, I can see the path she's about to take. It's the first time I've been able to read in her, to see her path, and what I've seen has frozen my blood.

All I could think about at that moment was:

"I have to don’t let this happen."

(Y/n)'s POV

We walk on the path that Hwaryun is show to us.

I've had a bad intuition for a while, but I've been trying to forget it and focus on saving Khun.

When we reach our destination, red hair has flown through the air, making someone I saw briefly disappear.

"Bam !! How could you leave me behind with all the enemies ?!"

Endorsi gets mad at Bam while the man with the shaved hair who was our enemy a few minutes ago is with them. He's running towards the woman who must be the one who screamed earlier.

"Soyong ! Are you sure you're okay ?!
- Sowa...!"

So their names are Soyong and Sowa. I watch both of them before the girl runs to the the room to her side.

"Ryu-Ahn !!"

Bam and Endorsi start to join the woman in the room but they stopped as when a sizzle sounds can be heard.

I look to the screens that have appeared from our pockets to see a old man talking.

"To all ticket holders who have entered the station, listen carefully. I'm Lee Xiawun, the manager of this station. Your presence here is not welcome, you who broke the laws of the tower. Get out of the station immediately. If you stay, we’ll cooperate with the Jahad's army and arrest you, and if you resist, we may kill you. We have a message from Jahad's royal army. Listen to it and make your decision."

We all look at the screen and wait for the message to appear, with stress and fear. I guess we're all wondering right now if we're gonna make it out of here alive.

"Greetings."

A blue man, who looks more like some kind of alien insect speaks.

"To all the regulars who take control of the Hell Train, my name is Elpathion. I’m a High Ranker as well as the 4th Assistant Squadron Commander of King Jahad’s Army. You committed a serious crime by taking over the Hell Train and traveling all over the tower. Come out of the station and surrender immediately."

Assistant Squadron Commander ? How can they send someone so strong just to stop regulars like us ? He's asking us to surrender, but he must know we won't do it without a reason.

"Otherwise, starting in an hour from now, we’ll execute your companions one by one.”

The image has changed to show Sachi and Boro imprisoned in a kind of cocoon. So they were captured... I knew that Hwaryun's plan wasn't safe, and she knew it too.

"I repeat. Leave the station and surrender."

The screen shut down and disappeared. I'm clenching my fists. Sachi and Boro always laughed and spent time with me on the train, we had become good friends together. I can't leave them like this, but... I have to protect Khun too.

"I have to go save them."

Bam's voice echoes in my head, as if he's saying it in my ears while he's away from me, talking to Endorsi. I approach Endorsi and Bam as she yells at him that it's a suicide.

"Still, I have to go...
Because there's something I fear more than death.
I don't ever want to lose the people who matter to me."

I can see a faint smile on Endorsi's lips and hear her thoughts in my head as if she'd said them out loud.

"You haven't changed one bit, Bam..."

I'm smiling back. She's right, he's never changed, even after all he's been through.

Suddenly, I felt an aura of incredible strength coming from outside.

Soyong and Sowa took us all together to a room that was reserved for us basically. Hwaryun told Bam she had a plan, but I know when she's lying.

"Bam, I lied."

What did I say ? She wouldn't let Bam go and get killed.

"Hwaryun. Whether it's possible or not, I'll go and save them.
- Bam, I'm going with you !
- No Endorsi, I'll go alone. Hwaryun is right. I may still be too weak to save everyone… But still… If I have to choose someone to sacrifice, I would rather sacrifice myself first. I still… Can’t give up on anyone. Look after Khun for me."

He leaves the room without saying anything more and Endorsi turns towards to us. If he thinks he can get rid of her like that, he doesn't know her well enough...

"Who's coming with me ?
- Me ! I want to help Viole ! I'm going to show him that I'm stronger now !
- You've grown up well Miseng. Let's go. (Y/n), I know you are the strongest among you all, so protect them."

Endorsi go away with Miseng thanks to Bongbong without giving me time to finish. I guess I'll have to protect them then.

Soyong tells to Bam with her pocket how to get to the place where there are warships. I concentrate and draw a red line on the map she shows us.

I trace the safest route to the location of the ship. Soyong thanks me and tells to Bam the way.

"So ! What should we do, turtle ?! Is there a way to get out of here for sure ?"

Rak stands up from the bed and looks at Hwaryun.

"Well, there is, but I won’t tell you if you bother me about it too much."

Rak starts grumbling as usual but after a while, he finally calms down and stares at Hwaryun before asking her one more question.

"Black turtle can definitely succeed, right ? You must know since you’re a guide !
- Honesty, there’s no chance of rescuing the hostages. The chances of regulars surviving in a batlle against rankers are so low that you can’t even use the word “possible”. But if he somehow manages to succeed…

He may rewrite the history of the Tower."

While the four of us are running around in the station's corridors, the large bay windows show the disaster going on outside. Fire has invaded the whole space. So it was the person using that fire whose incredible strength I felt.

"Red turtle ! Are you sure we should just follow you ?! You know how to get out of here, right ?!
- Trust her, Rak !"

I shout to Rak, who keeps running, looking out, it seems he already saw this flames somewhere else.

We stop running to look outside because Rak seems totally unable to continue for the moment. While I was concentrating...

"Watch out !"

We narrowly dodge the attack and look at the man in front of us. I only saw him for a brief moment earlier, but I'm sure he's the man Bam was fighting against before.

"Who the hell are you?!
- My name is Levy. I'm here to destroy you... But let me ask you a question... Who's the guy in this blue box ?"

As he asks the question, I see Rak starting to control the stones around us. Since when can he do that ?! I suddenly feel my throat hurting and I'm holding it sore.

"Turtle in love ! What's wrong ?!
- I-I don't know !"

Rak's starting to get angry and I see more and more rocks flying around him.

"Did you do this, ugly turtle ?!
- Ugly turtle...? That's my spell. If you want to keep her alive, give me that guy in the blue box…
- You really want to die ?!"

Rocks are flying everywhere and hands made entirely of rock have formed and are relentlessly attacking him. Levy ends up trapped under the rocks pretty quickly.

"A-all right, fine !! I'm going to free her from my curse ! And I don't need that blue guy anymore either !!! Just get me out of this pile of rocks !
- That’s enough, alligator. He lifted the curse, and we’ve got to do.
-... Red turtle."

Rak releases Levy from the stones as I finally breathe. The spell is gone and I finally feel better.

"Don’t you ever look down on alligators again !! Let’s go !"

We keep running to where Hwaryun guides us until we reach a place with a kind of turbine.

At that very moment, we get a call from Endorsi that Hwaryun picks up.

"We've freed the hostages !
- That's great. I've got good news too. The station hidden a teleporter for the warships. I'll have to prepare it, but if you arrive in time... We could escape. Hurry back."

Hwaryun hangs up and I run to several buttons next to the turbine. Hockney and Rak come up close to me, trying to figure out how the system works but we're quickly stopped by a voice behind us.

"So you manage to find the warp drive.
- You're that turtle I saw on the screen...!!
- I should have gotten rid of that thing as soon as I found out it existed... But I didn't want to draw anyone's attention. Still, it's a good thing I installed a bomb on it."

I jumped away from the controls of the teleporteur for being safe.

"That's right. If I press this button, the bomb will explode. You can't escape."

Rak seems to get angry and he starts shouting as the man presses the button, but nothing happen.

"He was joking about the bomb...?
- Look !"

A wolf jumps out of nowhere and grabs the remote and quickly destroys it. Behind the wolf is a beautiful woman with long dark green hair. The men just screams and goes away when he saw the wolf.

"Kaiser !!
- Do you know her ?"

I look at my team and the girl smiles at me. She tells me to just call her Elaine. She said that she's here for help us for Jinsung. I was so happy to hear about him. While I'm looking forward to the help, I let everyone else activate the teleport as I watch Khun near me. I reach out a hand to him, smiling, when I suddenly feel something appear behind me.

"I let one of the people King Jahad wanted go away because he was saved by his friends... But before you go with them as well… You’re gonna have to come with me."

Everyone is startled and Hwaryun grabs her weapon and runs towards the man behind me. When I turn around to see him, I can see a man with a gaping hole in his stomach.

How can he just survive with that ?

"(Y/n) ! Move ! — Hwaryun rushes to try to help me
- Turtle in love !!
- I-it's Squadron Commander Kallavan !"

My body is paralyzed.

I can't move at all.

A hand comes out of one of my lighthouses and Beta ends up coming out even though I've been hiding it all along. He propels himself towards Kallavan to give him a blow but Beta is propelled to the wall with ease.

"Beta !!
- D-don't touch her..."

He gets up and I come to my senses as I watch him fight for me. I quickly open my weapon inventory as I create a shinsu sphere at the same time. I was going to pierce his throat with my needle but it broke in half and my shinsu had no effect.

As I look into Kallavan's eyes, I feel his arm piercing my stomach.

"(Y/N) !! LET HER NOW, YOU THINK IT'LL SAVE YOU IF YOU FOLLOW THAT STUPID KING'S ORDERS ?! —Beta starts screaming as he spits blood
- I'm taking her with me. Say goodbye to her."

Elaine throws her wolf at Kallavan, but my eyes are already darken. I feel my body fall as the Squadron Commander grabs me like a rag.

"(Y/n) !! Fight ! Don't give up on us, don't give up on Khun !! You must survive !"
