(Y/n)'s POV

An irregular.

Yes, that's what I am.

What's it for me ? Not much, really. I consider myself a normal person, and I wish I could be. I wish I could go back to those sweet times outside that tower before all this.

Is it impossible to go back after all that ?

My mom's always been a guide, but not me. My mother didn't blame me and she was happy for me because I could live a normal life.

That's what she thought.

Mom, you'd be sad if you saw me right now.

I always lived with my mother and my father was a stranger, whose identity I never knew. She taught me everything and taught me the basics of how to defend myself in case of trouble.

But one day, there was a problem...

A huge problem.

I should have warned you what really happened. I should have told you the truth...

The next morning...

Khun's POV

I managed to close my eyes thanks to (Y/n), but in the middle of the night, a "beep" from my lighthouse woke me up.

We were invited to the Workshop battle. All his efforts were not in vain... I suddenly feel relieved, even though it's only the beginning. We must fight now. For Bam.

I hurry out of my room in the bunker, everyone sleeps together in one room, just like they were told to (Y/n). They look exhausted. Are they really so stupid that they forget to sleep ? It's a good thing she takes care of them.

Speaking of her, I haven't seen her anywhere.

She's usually in the kitchen stealing food like bread and spread. Yet this morning, she's nowhere in the kitchen. I even checked to see if the spread was in its place and it hasn't moved since yesterday morning.

What's happened to her ?

All of a sudden, the kitchen door squeaks and red hair sticks out.

"(Y/n) ? If you're here for stealing food, you can leave."

The girl finally comes into the kitchen and looks at me in amazement.

"Excuse me, Khun, but I don't steal food. By the way, are you looking for (Y/n) too ? Isn't she here ? I thought I'd find her here with her «lovely spread»..."

It's Hwaryun.

I look at her with even more concern. Is she looking for her ? She must've already checked several places, but she must not have found her if she's looking for her here.

What happened (Y/n) ?

"Oh, I have an idea where she might be. It's like Bam who spends all his time on the rooftop looking up at the sky. She also has a place she likes to go when she's not well, and the way I saw her yesterday..."

The way she saw her yesterday ? What is she talking about ? I can see a smile on her face and I can tell right away that she did it on purpose. A guide is never wrong in the choices he makes, so what is she trying to do ?

"You know, Khun, you should get to know your partners better."

I look at her and quickly see where she's headed.

30th Floor

I've been walking towards where Hwaryun thought we could find (Y/n) for about 20 minutes.

She told me that (Y/n) likes to calm down and come to her senses near water. She is a guide, so she could go down or up the floors as she would like, but in the lower floors there is no water, however I thought directly about the artificial beach that existed on the 30th floor, where our bunker was heading for the Workshop battle. Might as well check there, since she doesn't answer to her pocket.

We arrived 10 minutes ago on the 30th floor. Everyone was amazed, but I was mostly worried. I left the team with Dan and Hwaryun to take care of them, I don't trust this team to stay alone, they're like children in a nursery.

I keep walking for a long time before I get lost. I should've checked where the beach is first. I can't know everything from the floor because it's the first time I've been here, unlike her, I'm sure.

I wonder how many floors she's been through. Why would a guide pretend to be an fortune teller when she could join a good team ?

I'll never understand guides, and I don't like them either.

But (Y/n) is different. It's like she's asking to be normal.

She asked me to say nothing to our team about her specialty, thatq it was better to get to know the team, but... I know when someone's lying.

She wanted to be ordinary to the team.

Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice from my pocket.

Meanwhile, on the (Y/n) side...

Viole's POV

I got a call through my pocket from Miss (Y/n). She had also arrived on the 30th floor with Sweet and Sour team and Mr.Khun. I was reassured that he was fine. I told Mr.Reflecto that I was going to leave to train and see the place, but in reality, I was going to join Miss (Y/n) at the beach as she had asked me. Her voice sounded shaky and broken when she called me. So I couldn't leave her alone.

I arrive at the beach only 5 minutes after her call and I find the red-haired woman sitting on the sand, looking at the artificial water that stretches as far as the eye can see. I join her by sitting next to her.

"Miss (Y/n), you don't look well. Do you want to talk about it ?"

She turns her empty gaze away from the sea to look at me. She's totally broken.

"I couldn't protect the team and Khun anymore."

I look at her stunned. What happened to her ? She didn't seem like that the first and only time I saw her.

"You know, Viole, I'm just like you. Soon, it'll be my turn... And that day, I'd rather be alone. Khun and the rest of the team won't be able to protect me."

I understand now.

She's an irregular. I don't know how she can be a guide too, but... I understand better what Cassano said to Mr. Reflecto now.

A month before, after the accident with Arlene's hand...

Cassano looks at his left arm and suddenly speaks.

"This girl... She's weird."

Mr. Reflecto turns to Cassano and asks him what he's talking about. He points to his left arm, in which resides half of his demon he shares with Mr Horyang.

"I pierced that girl's chest with my full power... Anyone would be dead. I'm sure I struck next to her heart... But, yet in the explosion, I saw her rise up and pounce on that Khun to protect him."

Mr Reflecto looks at Cassano with a slightly shocked look on his face, then I can see a slight smirk on the corner of his face.

"Another monster is with them too, then. I'll notify the FUG about her."

My blood is freezing. By now, FUG must know about it, and she seems to know it, too. Well, then, she wants to abandon the team to protect them.

"You should ask someone else to protect that stupid blue-haired guy... He can't even sleep on his own."

A nostalgic, melancholy laugh escapes from her thin, pale lips. Her voice breaks and she starts shaking all over, tears streaming down her cheeks as she bites her lower lip with all her might to make it stop.

"This team... I liked them. Are Ran and Novick okay ? I'm hoping... I don't want anything bad happen to them. I wouldn't have cared before. Why do people change so much through other people's contact... I can't go back now. That's why I have to go and face FUG alone. I won't let Khun or anyone else fight at my place. I was planning to disappear now, I'll go back to my good old home... On the death floor. I'll see you again, I know it."

I look at her and I know I couldn't change her mind. It's her choice if she wants to fight FUG on her own but I'm worried about her, even though I don't know her very well.

"You should leave. It's risky for you to stay here too, your team will be looking for you and Khun also knows your true identity...
- (Y/n) ! Bam !!"

I froze in place.

During the discussion, on Khun's side...

Khun's POV

Recording her pocket to locate her and hear her conversations was not useless. But I would have liked to learn that by her.

(Y/n), an irregular ? Is she going to leave us ? FUG is going after her and she wants to run away ? No way.

I'm not letting someone I love run away from me again. Bam, (Y/n)...

After running for a while, I come to the beach and take a breath for screaming.

"(Y/n) ! Bam !!"

Bam petrifies on the spot and (Y/n) looks at me, with eyes filled with tears.

"Bam... We're gonna win the Workshop battle, so you'll can come back with us... (Y/n), please, stay. I'll protect you no matter what."

I look so pathetic. The guy who couldn't count on anyone before begs someone to stay with him and promises someone else to bring him back...

So, everyone really changes through people's contacts, right, (Y/n) ? I've also changed by your side.

"Khun... I can't risk hurting you. You have a goal... I've seen it. When you were asleep yesterday, I took advantage of it..."

Last night

Hwaryun's gone, and I finally get up after a while once I calm down. I wanted to be sure of something and so, I entered Khun's room without making a sound. I sit on the edge of the bed, stroking his soft blue hair. I put my hand on his forehead and close my eyes, trying to see what he's really thinking, why he took this path.

When I closed my eyes, I could directly see an image engraved in my mind. I opened my eyes slowly, taking my hand away and leaned over him to give him a kiss on his forehead.

"I hope your dream will be come true."

"You said you wanted to become the head of the Khun family... For one reason, didn't you ?"

There's a heavy silence and Khun ends up nodding his head. I smile sadly and move closer to Khun while Viole stands still, daring to say nothing.

"You want to have a real family. I saw an image in your mind... I can surely see that because I'm an irregular but... This picture, the people in it, they're your family, aren't they ?"

In the picture I saw, there were eight people. They were all a little bit different sizes and the tall man in the middle was probably the head of the Khun family, Khun Edahn, known to be one of the heads of the 10 families with the most wives.

Strangely, in the image his thought gave me, the face of the girl furthest to the right is not visible. A blue-coloured fan hides her face, as if Khun was hiding it so that even in her thoughts she would not see it. Did you have a problem with that girl, Khun ?

The symbol of their family was flying on flags behind them with the sky and trees as a background.

During all this time, he just wanted to be the leader of Khun family for stopping all the wars between Khun's children, and with that strength, he thought he can have a real family.

"Khun Aguero Agnis. This isn't a farewell, it's just a goodbye. Come back to me once you've grown stronger, saved Bam and found your friends... I'll be waiting for you where I lived with my mom after I entered the tower by myself."

I took him in my arms and he did the same. Three of my lighthouses surrounded me and I said only a few words: "Teleportation". My body began to disappear and the feeling of Khun's embrace began to fade away too.

The few red particles left behind by my teleportation danced in the air before they fell to the ground, letting Viole run towards Khun and take him in his arms, as if to comfort him, before he left too, telling him :
"See you next time at the Workshop battle."
All this took place under the red eyes of a small crocodile hiding behind a shop near the beach.

I only joined his team two months ago, and yet I'm not the same. I'll never let myself be stepped on again and I'll fight now, you can be sure of that.

This is just the end of a prologue, and the beginning of the real story that begins with my departure.

Now everything will be harder, people will die, I won't be able to fight alone but I only ask myself one question...

Could I have a happy ending to this story that is my life ? I don't dream of becoming the main character as I could see it in Rachel's path, the only thing I want is to be...

Ordinary and happy.
