The next morning, her eyes jolted open. She grinned, checking her phone. There was a text from Gyu.
'I'm here!' He sent a photo of the airport.
She replied. 'I'm so nervous T-T'
'Don't be! Now, get ready, I'll send you where we'll meet.'
Adele got dressed, hands shaking slightly from nerves, and checked her phone again. He told her where to go, a little cafe just three blocks away.
She got there a few moments later.
Adele got out of her car, assuming he wasn't there yet, and leaned against her car door.
She had waited for no more than two minutes when a black Escalade pulled in. A tall man wearing a mask got out of the drivers seat. He had blonde hair, but it was obviously dyed, and he looked around for a moment. When he saw her, he waved, and began walking towards her.
Adele's heart beat faster as he casually approached. How could he be so calm?
When he reached her, they stood awkwardly for a moment.
"Hi," she said first.
Gyu's eyes crinkled up in a smile. "Hey, love."
Adele blushed. "Gyu, you're really, really attractive, I'm not sure I'll make it through the day without fainting."
He smiled again. "I'm sure you will. Now come on, no hug from the love of my life?"
She smiled. "I wasn't sure I'd be allowed..."
"Of course you are," he replied.
She smiled, hugging him. He was warm against her, and as his arms wrapped around her shoulders she felt her face heat up. Gyu placed his chin on the top of her head. "This is nice," he whispered.
Adele smiled, eyes closed. "It is. I love this so much. Hug me tighter, will you?"
He laughed. "Of course." He pulled her closer to him, her face pressed in his neck.
After a few minutes of standing like that, neither party wanting to pull away, Adele finally spoke. "So, what's with the mask?"
She felt Gyu tense against her, and wondered if she said something wrong.
"I can take it off, if you'd like," he said quietly.
"Only if you want," Adele said, pulling away from him for a moment.
Gyu undid the mask strap from around his ear, undoing it.
Adele's eyes widened as shock rippled through her body.
"What?!" She exclaimed, taking a surprised step backwards. "What- i-" Spur of the moment, Adele reached out a hand, smacking him on the face to see if he was real.
He gasped, playing offended. "What was that for?!" Adele went red and he giggled, pinching her cheeks slightly. "You're cute."
Dazed slightly, she unlocked her car door, gently pulling him inside. "You idiot," she told him once she shut the door behind them. "Just because you're in America doesn't mean people won't recognize you."
Adele was surprised by how calm she was being, but that changed as she hugged her legs to her chest. "It's you?" She asked.
Gyu-Beomgyu- smiled at her. "It's me, love. Not what you were expecting, right?"
Adele shook her head slightly, face buried in her knees. "What? How?" She laughed to herself, sitting back. "Well, now that I've met you in real life, I can die happily. That was our agreement, right?"
Beomgyu shook his head, humming. "We'll have to change that agreement. Now that you've met me, you don't get to die until I get to kiss you."
Adele's eyes widened in shock. "I get to kiss you?!"
He laughed. "Of course you do, you're my girlfriend, aren't you?"
Adele's brain was practically shut down, she couldn't process the fact that the guy she had been flirting with for weeks, and then dating, was freaking Beomgyu.
"That wasn't the deal though, was it?" She asked. "And I might die of embarrassment anyways."
"What's there to be embarrassed about?" He asked.
"Well, the fact that I sent you hot photos OF YOURSELF!" She exclaimed, smiling slightly. "I think I can die."
Beomgyu smirked gently. "Well, kiss me, and then I'll let you go to heaven."
Adele laughed. "I think I'm going to hell." She was trying to hide the fact that she was freaking out. Her, dating Beomgyu? It was some MOAs dream, and here she was, living it.
Beomgyu laughed with her. "Okay then, kiss me, and then you can go meet the devil."
Adele blushed, hiding her face in her hands. "I would like that, a lot. But I'd rather you kiss me," she admitted sheepishly.
"What's the difference?" He asked teasingly.
"You're the one to make the first move," she answered, face flaming.
Beomgyu smiled at her. "Okay, love."
They were in the backseat, and he pulled her closer, until her forehead brushed his. Adele's breath caught in her throat. He smirked, moving a bit closer. Now his lips were a mere centimeter away.
"How's this?" He asked, lips touching hers as he spoke.
She went to move her head away, too embarrassed, but he placed his hand on the back of her neck.
"There's very little space between us, but it feels like too much, don't you agree?"
Adele nodded slightly, and he smiled.
"I can fix that, if you want."
"Yes, please," she whispered.
"Your wish is my command."
Here, he finally kissed her, and Adele's heartbeat almost painfully fast. Beomgyu's-Beomgyu's!-lips were soft on hers, and she felt lightheaded at just this touch.
His arms snaked around her waist, pulling her body closer to him, and Adele's eyes closed. She finally kissed him back, one hand on the side of his face, the other on his chest.
His hands moved to cup her cheeks before resting on her shoulders, thumb brushing gently over her collarbone.
The touch of him on her skin had her almost trembling, and she pulled away a moment later, catching her breath.
Adele leaned her head against the headrest of the car seat, eyes closed as she processed what just happened.
She, Adele May, an average girl on Twitter, had managed to meet CHOI BEOMGYU on there, started dating him, and now they were kissing in the backseat of her car.
Adele opened her eyes. "One moment," she said to him, opening the car door and getting out.
Beomgyu's mind was still reeling from the kiss, how gently her lips had been on his, the feeling of her under his fingers. He was dumbstruck, sitting in the back of her car.
He had been so nervous: there were a million reasons to be.
She could not like him once she knew who he was. She could treat him differently instead of how she used to. The agency could find out. The members could find out, and he'd never hear the end of it.
Beomgyu had to be so, so careful. He couldn't lose her, not now.
Foreshadowing? Maybe? But you didn't hear it from me, so shh 🤫
Anyways, the next 4-5 chapters are VEEEERy dirty, so be prepared :D
Actually I think we have a fluffy chapter first. Or maybe it's just the first half that's fluff. I can't remember. But it gets reallllyy dirty after that 😏
