The boys finished getting ready and met up with Shino, Hinata, TenTen and Neji so they all could travel to the location together. Along with them Naruto carried the beverages and snacks that Kiba got for the party, most liquor of course, while Kiba carried Akamaru under his jacket.

Other students were seen already leaving the campus to begin their break with their families or even their friends. It felt almost surreal for Naruto, not too long ago he was just a newbie but today he felt like he was apart of something.

It wasn't the last he'd see them, it was his first year after all, but something just felt a bit bittersweet.

They went off the campus grounds and headed to the outskirts of the forest near by like the first time Naruto came here. They didn't do too much talking, just the couples sticking to their significant other and just kind of having their own little moments with them.

Shino and Hinata walked causally with a few jars for the bugs he planned to rescue while telling her the old story that she never gets tired of hearing.

Neji and TenTen carried some games to play while staring deeply into each other eyes and directing a few glances in Naruto's way.

At that point Kiba allowed Akamaru on to walk on his own and of course he ran off into the woods to go hunt a fluffle of rabbits.

As for Naruto and Kiba, they kept their distance or rather tired too. Kiba wanted to be close to the blonde, but every time he tried Naruto would pull himself away playfully as the ring would always poke him in his pocket.

"Could you two be anymore obvious?" Neji teased, earning a glare from the blonde.

"Could you be anymore nosey?" He replied before sticking his tongue out at him

"When it comes to your business? I definitely can." He chuckled, earning laughter from the rest.

"Still having trouble in paradise with those two?" Shino asked.

"You have no idea." TenTen smiled.

"Just give it a shot already the worst that can happen is you realizing it was just a HUGE crush." Shino encouraged the pair.

"Leave them be Shino, you can't rush that type of thing. They'll do what they want too when they're both ready." Hinata advised him.

"What are you the couple councilor now?" Shino pouted.

"No, but I'm your girlfriend who know a lot more than you do."

"Really?"

"Yeah?"

"Well do you know how much I love you?"

"A lot."

"Mmm... no. That's not enough for me." Shino smiled, kissing Hinata against her cheek as they continued walking.

"You okay?" Kiba asked.

"Hm? Yeah, just something came to my mind." Naruto replied, coming back from his train of thought.

"Something is always on your mind but you always keep it to yourself."

"Problem with it?"

"Quite frankly, yeah. But I'm willing to wait for you to explain it and even more to me."

"More?" Naruto asked his lips forming a small smile as he looked at the brunette, the space between them no longer existent. "What more would I need to explain?"

"Hm, that's for another time, for now I just want you to promise me something."

"More promises? Aren't we getting too old for these?"

"Ha, if we could actually keep them." Kiba joked, sharing a laugh with the blonde before looking at him with a hint of sincerity. "I want you to promise that you'll step out of your head for tonight, that and just enjoy the party."

"..."

"Promise me?" Kiba asked, bumping Naruto gently with his shoulder.

"Haha fine, I promise." He replied, pushing the brunette back before Neji and TenTen came next to them.

"What promises are we making again?" Neji asked.

"Oh nothing, just that Naruto is gonna be enjoying himself tonight."

"That makes the two of us." TenTen smiled.

"We've arrived lovebirds!" Shino advised them as they heard the music slowly getting louder and louder as they approached their destination.

Naruto was hoping that for tonight he could just put everything behind him and just focus on tonight with his friends, old or new, love him or hate him, it didn't matter anymore. Just having fun that's what he was supposed to do and that's what he promised he'd do not only for Kiba, but for himself too.

He wanted tonight to be something to remember.

"GUYS!" Ino cheered upon their arrival. "YOU MADE IT!"

"You say that like they had a choice not to come." Sakura smirked.

"They didn't." Ino winked while hugging each of them. "I am glad you all came and brought more food and drinks though."

"It's the least we could do." Neji replied.

"Well let Gaara show you the table to lay them down and just have fun honestly! It's Winter Break after all so we can get as wasted as we wanted!" She hollered, throwing her hand in the air and downing another glass of alcohol, despite the look on Gaara's face.

"You're gonna have to carry her home, you know that right?" Kiba advised him jokingly.

"Don't remind me, I've done it three times already, she's my own personal gym equipment." Gaara replied with a small grin.

"Haha at least you're thinking of your fitness. Hey Naruto you coming?"

"Hm? Oh yeah I'll-"

"He can stay Kiba, you two lovers don't have to always be together, right?" Ino interjected.

"Yeah Kiba it's not like we'll take him from you." Sakura agreed.

"I'd rather him be around more sober people." Kiba teased. "Then again in the next fifteen minutes I won't be one of them."

The group erupted into laughter at Kiba's statement knowing fully well he was right, though he was disappointed Naruto couldn't be with him all night he thought it may be best for him to socialize with his friends more.

He didn't want him to feel like these were just his friends and he could tell they already liked him enough, the real him at that.

"Fine, you guys can have him, for now." He decided.

"So in other words maybe an hour or so they'll be gone to fuck somewhere." Shino figured.

"Pretty much." They all agreed in unison to Kiba and Naruto's amusement.

"You all know too much of our business you know that?" Kiba laughed, before walking off with Gaara, Neji, TenTen, Hinata and Shino.

"Glad you could make it Naruto!" Rock Lee greeted him with a hug before standing next to Sakura.

"Same here, but you guys say that like I wouldn't come."

"Of course, after everything that's happened, plus three other people being here that you don't exactly have the best-"

"Ino..." Sakura warned.

"I think you've had too much to drink Ino." Rock Lee added.

"She hasn't, she's just being a usual blabber mouth self."

"How about we stop stating the obvious about me and appreciate that Naruto came here to be with his friends and boyfriend despite who hates him, a true King!" Ino stated hugging Naruto and rocking him playfully earning a laugh from the trio.

"Alright, I don't want to tire you out before you get something to drink or eat, but Kauri wanted to talk to you when you got here so she asked me to tell you to go over to the bushes over there. Also if you're wondering Sai and Shikamaru are at the bar as you can see chatting it up, so don't worry we'll try to keep them away from you." Ino advised.

"Oh, but what about Choji?"

"Eating his secret snacks." They replied in unison.

Naruto looked at them in a humorous but confused manner, they told him he'd eventually see for himself, but seeing as he already knew Choji well he was aware of what they were referring too.

After the brief conversation Naruto headed over to the location Ino told him, before going behind the bushes he glanced over his shoulder and saw Kiba, Neji and TenTen taking shots while Hinata and Shino cheered them on. He then noticed Gaara talking to Sai who looked upset about something, but when they locked eyes for a moment Naruto diverted his gaze and went on his way.

Immediately his mind already started rambling on what Sai could be talking about, he recalled Gaara talking to Kankuro earlier but he quickly pushed the thoughts aside and continued walking.

Eventually he stumbled upon the same campfire where he first met the group and there was Kauri looking at the night sky as the soothing orange flames brighten the area and her features.

"Kauri..."

"Hm, I should've known that you arrived from hearing Ino's scream." She chuckled.

"Yeah, she said she isn't drunk but I doubt it."

"Blabbering?"

"Yeah, a lot."

"Hm, that's normal Ino behavior."

They shared a short laugh before it got quiet once more.

"Come and sit, I'm glad you came so we could talk, almost thought you wouldn't." She invited.

"Yeah apparently you weren't the only one."

"Can't really blame us, you aren't exactly on good terms with some people..."

"Yeah..."

"But that's actually what I wanted to talk about."

"I had a feeling, look Kauri whatever it is that Choji told you may be true. I did betray him and Shikamaru and I know that's something that I can't take back and that I can't even beg them back because I'm still somewhat on the path that I wanted without them, it would be selfish of me to do something like that."

"..."

"They were the first set of people who knew me, not just the way that everyone knows me, but the way only Neji and TenTen does, even Kiba.

"That doesn't mean anything to me Naruto. It was the past and it's okay to make mistakes back then, we're still young."

"Yeah, but just how many mistakes can someone make and use being young as a reason for it before being held accountable?"

"..."

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like that."

"It's fine, Naruto. I'm just glad you're sharing your feelings with me, at least you consider me a friend in that department haha."

"I guess I'm trying to be more open ha. Kiba says I need to explain what's on my mind more, and I guess Choji and Shikamaru are always there."

"You miss them?"

"Kind of...it sounds weird but they're your friends too, and so am I so I kind of feel reunited with them even though they hate my guts."

"Who said they both hated you?" Kauri asked, tilting her to the side with a smile.

"They don't need to say it trust me."

"Well I know my boyfriend and he doesn't hate so easily. That's something I can assure you."

"Of course Choji doesn't hate easily, I know that about him, but after what I've done, he definitely hates me."

"Then I guess that means you don't know me too well anymore." A voice replied from behind Kauri, immediately Naruto recognized it.

"Choji?"

Meanwhile back at the party music blasted from the speakers and the flashing lights and glow sticks created the perfect ambience to get drunk and have fun around your friends, but among the carefree partying was a bit of tension.

Mainly between Kiba who noticed Sai was keeping his distance from most of them.

"You plan on joining us on the dance floor anytime soon?" Neji yelled as the music clouded his voice, sitting next to him on the log.

"Huh?"

"The party man, you plan on joining?" He repeated as he smiled at the others having the time of their lives. "It isn't a party if we're not all having fun after all."

"Hm, well I'm doing wonderful."

"Come on dude, don't give me that shit. Hinata has been keeping an eye on you and she knows when you're not yourself."

"..."

"Look we just want to make sure you're okay, it's been a rough couple of months and-"

"It's always like that for me."

"So I've heard," Neji continued. "But maybe it's time for a change."

"Change?"

"Yeah, starting right here."

"You know the reason, don't you?"

"What reason?" Neji asked.

"The reason Naruto behaving the way he is, he's your best friend after all. If he can't tell me anything then you must know."

"..."

"Well?"

"Yeah, but I can't tell you."

"I didn't ask you too, it's great to see that he's at least confiding into someone, even if it isn't me."

"..."

"It just fucking sucks that I promised him to just enjoy tonight and forget whatever he has in his head yet I'm here doing the exact opposite. How am I supposed to help him if I'm such a hypocrite to myself?"

"Kiba have you..."

"No man, you said it yourself, I've barely drank so I'm sober as shit right now. I'm done with the drunk out of mind bullshit anyway, Naruto doesn't like it."

"And you...you changed that for him?"

"Was that foolish of me?" Kiba asked, seemingly out it.

"Why would you asked that?"

"Because you're the closest thing to his heart that's willing to tell me the truth."

"..."

"Am I wasting my time, Neji? Is it too late for me and Naruto to be together, or is there even a spec of hope that I can cling onto?"

Neji was utterly speechless, he truly didn't know the answer to give Kiba. Well, he did, but he knew it wasn't his place to say what happens to their relationship, he was their friend and he didn't want to see either of them hurt but it wasn't his situation to speak about.

They had to make that decision, but he couldn't sit idly by and watch them both get hurt in the process.

"The only thing I can offer is advice, I know it won't be the solution to anything right now, but it's all I have."

"I'm listening." Kiba replied, not even looking up at Neji, feeling down within himself to even try and do something like this to get answers.

"Be patient with Naruto, he's lost and he hasn't realized that yet, or he's slowly beginning too... either way you'll have to make a decision as well, it wouldn't be fair for you to put everything you have down for him while he continues to walk this path."

"..."

"He'll need you Kiba, you've made the most progress with him, but you'll need yourself just as much as he does."

"Love should be fifty fifty, half for them and half for you."

"You're starting to sound like Chiyo..."

Kiba didn't want too, but he gave more thought to what Neji said, as it was similar to the advice Chiyo had given him after Naruto left them. It wasn't an easy decision but he had already put everything in place and if he wanted Naruto back, the real Naruto, he had to play his cards right.

In the meantime, he had to act accordingly.

"Kiba!" A voice roared, earning the attention of Neji who sighed in irritation.

"Sai?"

"We need to talk!" Sai demanded, glaring at the both of them as Gaara watched from over the bar, turning his back to them with a disappointed look on his face.

"About what?"

"I think you can already guess."

"Naruto."

"Hey." Choji smiled, nervously standing next too Kauri.

"Hey...."

Kauri smiled despite the awkward silence that now took place, she was happy that her boyfriend finally came to a place where he could speak to his long time friend, but she figured they'd need to do that a bit more privately.

"I'll leave you two to chat." She stood up and gestured for Choji to sit before ruffling his hair, giving Naruto a reassuring pat on the shoulder and heading back to the party. "Don't take too long."

"We won't, promise." Choji stuttered while Naruto shifted his gaze elsewhere.

"So, how was the party?" He asked.

"Just got there so it was fine I guess."

"Oh."

"..."

"It's a nice night though huh?"

"Choji." Naruto sighed not really having the energy for the small talk and the diversion of what it was that Choji was trying to hold off. "Stop making small talk and just say what you have to say."

"How did you-"

"Know? Because I know you, and I remember when we used to get in trouble and had to give an explanation we could always count on you to say anything except that."

"Haha you remembered that huh?" Choji chuckled lightly, a small grin forming forming on Naruto's lips as well.

"It's a fond memory of mine."

"Even after you abandoned me and Shikamaru?"

"..."

"We felt pathetic Naruto, that and betrayed."

"I know, but I can't apologize enough because it doesn't matter what I say, it won't fix what has already happened."

"Well obviously we don't want an apology."

"Then what-"

"What we want is for you to just be yourself.

"People change Choji-"

"Don't give me that crap."

"Look if that's what you wanted to talk about again, then I'm sorry AGAIN! If saying sorry isn't what you and Shikamaru want then what is the point in us having this conversation?! To make me feel even worse than I already do?!"

"..."

"Well thanks, but no thanks." Naruto spat in frustration, standing to his feet with heavy breathing and watery eyes as he began walking off."

"I WANTED YOU HERE SO I COULD THANK YOU!" Choji yelled, causing the blonde to stop just as he had stepped into the bushes.

"..."

"The last night we were all together and I almost got caught by the security guard, you stepped up and helped me and everyone else get away."

"...That was me and Kiba."

"But you started it, despite everything Shikamaru said to you and what you've said about us. You came back like a true friend, like the Naruto we used to know and you had my back."

"..."

"You can't say it didn't remind you of the old times dude." Choji tried, extending his arm to Naruto bringing back the memory of their group handshake when they were younger.

Naruto knew the gesture all too well, and as much as he wanted too, he couldn't. The more he dug into the past and who he used to be he realized that it clashed with what he wanted and who he believed he was, or wanted to be.

The feeling of his ring in his pocket and the images of Sasuke's smiling face reinforced his new choice and he needed to start deciding what path he was going to take right now.

"You're welcome Choji, but this is who I am now, the old me wasn't a phase or anything, he's gone now." He began.

"Naruto..."

"If you can't accept that, then I'm sorry, to you, Kauri, Shikamaru and his girlfriend." Naruto finished before taking his leave, knowing what Choji's answer would've been.

"Hey Naruto..." Choji called out to him.

"..."

"You never did say whether the night was good or not."

"Ha..." Naruto sighed, tears forming in his eyes as he fought them back and showed a smile. "The night is still young."

"I'd say the same."

After Naruto got back to the party he and Kauri exchanged a look that would've basically told her the outcome of the conversation and she nodded in respect before going off to find Choji.

At the same time Kiba came to Naruto and he was visibly happy, not only to see the blonde but also just having fun in general with their friends. He wanted to tell him what happened but thought it would be best to just forget it.

He promised him a good time and that's what he'll give him, it's the least he could do even if Kiba would disagree. So instead of talking, he grabbed Kiba by his arm and pulled him back with his friends.

The group reunited and began partying despite the tension between some of the members, all except Sai who kept an eye on Naruto the whole night, which only gave Naruto the courage to party even harder with Kiba by his side the whole night.

Ino, Sakura and TenTen got on top of the log and jumped up and down while screaming the lyrics to every song as they were next to the stereo and got more and more tipsy as their boyfriends watched on worrying for their safety, especially Gaara as Ino was the hype master and was getting wilder from the alcoholic that had no effect on her earlier.

"THIS BODY IS FLY AND ITS GOT WINGS BITCH!" Ino slurred, holding another bottle of liquor in the air along with Sakura's hand.

"WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!" Sakura laughed.

"I DONT KNOW!"

"BITCHES I THINK WE CAN ALL FUCKING FLY RIGHT NOW!" TenTen added, fumbling along with the other girls and almost falling off the log.

"CAN YOU THREE BE CAREFUL!" Neji protested.

"NEJI CAN WE KEEP THEM!? WE ARE LITERALLY CHARLIE'S ANGELS AND YOU CAN BE...OH MY KAGUYA WHATS HIS NAME?" TenTen awed. "WHAT HIS NAME?!"

"EH?!" Sakura asked.

"THE GUY IN CHARLIE ANGELS, THE LEADER!"

"THE LEADER?"

"YEAH, I CANT REMEMBER HIS NAME!"

"ISNT IT CHARLIE?!" Sakura asked.

"OH! THATS WHY ITS NAMED THAT! NEJI YOU ARE NEJI AND WERE ARE NEJI ANGELS!" TenTen grinned, cracking herself up as the bottle fell from her hand.

"WHOS NEJI?!" Sakura asked, causing Neji and Rock Lee to look at each other in amusement.

"I WANNA BE THE HOT ANGEL!" Ino smiled while sticking her tongue out and attempting to pull her top off.

"GAARA!" Rock Lee warned.

"ALREADY ON IT!" Gaara replied before getting Ino and the girls down and carrying her away to get some water.

"YOU ARE FINE AS SHIT MAN WHO DOES YOUR EYELINER?!" Ino asked.

"MY GIRLFRIEND!"

"YOU ARE TAKEN, SHIT!"

"YOU ARE MY GIRLFRIEND..."

"I AM? SHIT I WORK FAST!"

Temari, Shikamaru, Choji and Kauri partied near the bar with the food and drinks. Despite Sakura and Hinata disapproving of them smoking near that food they could do it now that they were both distracted or in Sakura's case, drunk. Normally Temari wouldn't entertain Shikamaru and his smoking either but she knew that if Naruto was there then he'd be upset and just wanted him to relax and not get stressed out over it.

For Kauri she knew Choji was eating away the pain of losing his friend once more, but she didn't hold anything against Naruto. That didn't mean she was going to let Choji eat all the food though.

"Shikamaru don't you think you should chill on the smoking before you know, you die?" Kauri asked while sipping on her cider.

"I don't know Kauri, can you think of anything that'll kill me faster?" Shikamaru asked.

"Both of you shut the fuck up. Shikamaru she's just worried about you." Temari spat.

"Like you aren't?" Kauri teased, earning a glare from the blonde.

"I don't need anyone to worry about me right now, okay. Who you guys should be worried about is Kiba over there." Shikamaru spat, gesturing to Naruto dancing the night away.

"He seems happy, maybe you can learn something from that." Temari pointed out.

"What!? You think being over there and dancing means he's happy?"

"Yes!"

"Well I guess that just goes to show you don't know him very well!"

"Oh for fuck sake Shikamaru! Don't start with this bullshit again!"

"..."

"Ever since Naruto came here you've just been Naruto this and Naruto that! It's not that hard to think that people can change over fucking time, it's called growth dipshit!"

"He's not grown out of anything, Temari! He's faking who he is-"

"And what the fuck does that have to do with you?!"

"..."

"He changes you're upset, he's talking to Kiba you're upset, he's happily enjoying his life and you're fucking upset. Are you a bitch?"

"You don't get it!"

"No! I get it! He's your best friend that you lost because he abandoned you and Choji to live a life THAT HE CHOSE TO LIVE! Fake or fucking not what does it have to do with you now?"

"..."

"What I can't stand about this is that my own fucking boyfriend is so balls deep in choosing to hold a grudge over some long time bullshit against someone he clearly misses but instead of doing something about it like Choji you sit here and sink yourself into depression!"

"Temari!" Kauri protested.

"No! He need to hear this Kauri! The night we all almost got busted and Naruto saved Choji from getting caught, saved all of us from getting caught he talked to him about it! He grew a pair and he thanked him and even though it didn't turn out the way he wanted it too at least he tried. He didn't sit here and gossip to Kauri about him day and night like a little bitch ass school girl who obviously missed her friend and is solving the matter by making herself feel less bad in her own eyes."

"Shikamaru, I'm not saying all this to insult you or discourage you or what the fuck ever. I am saying this because I love you and I'll support you through everything, but you have to make up your mind on whether you want your friend back or you're done with him completely. Not sitting on the fucking fence of the matter." Temari finished before storming off in the opposite direction with Shikamaru's cigarette that she wanted to toss the moment he brought it out.

"Temari! I'll talk to her!" Kauri sighed, leaving the two boys to themselves.

Meanwhile on the dance floor Hinata, Shino, Naruto and Kiba danced under the stars. Shino and Hinata pressed their bodies together and danced slowly despite it not being a slow dancing song, but they were just enjoying each other's company.

Something Kiba wished he could do now as he watched them, as for Naruto he was just watching as Temari and Kauri ran off.

"Hey." Kiba whispered, gaining Naruto's attention.

"Hm?"

"Having fun?"

"Real answer?"

"I'd prefer that one, yes haha."

"I'm having a great time haha."

"Now why'd you have to say it like it was a date." Kiba teased.

"Haha I didn't I just answered your question."

"So you're saying I'm imagining things?"

"Maybe...you do have an imaginative mind." Naruto replied, poking the center of Kiba's forehead.

"Haha, well for what it's worth, I'm glad that you could come and that you're having fun on the date."

"So it's a date now?"

"It's my imagination after all, so of course."

"I don't remember agreeing to one though." Naruto smiled, not even noticing that his body was drawing closer to Kiba's, until he stepped back.

"Well you should've read the fine print."

The sad smile on Kiba's face was so apparent, he really didn't want to draw back but he knew how it was between the two of them right now. He didn't want to pursue Naruto anymore until he knew was ready to accept what he believed was in Naruto's heart so in the meantime he'll guard the sidelines.

As for Naruto he didn't know what came over him, at this point it was just his body's reaction whenever Kiba behaves the way he does, it's alluring to him in a natural way.

But he couldn't resist the temptation, but he has too until it was time for him to tell him the truth.

"Naruto and Kiba?!" Sai cheered, dancing his way over to them.

"Crap..." Naruto sighed.

"What?" Kiba asked.

"Nothing..."

"What's up with you two? Usually you would be ripping each other's clothes off right now." Sai commented, earning the attention of Shino and Hinata.

"Why so modest?" He continued, looking more at Naruto.

"Haha not really the right time Sai, it's a personal matter that we don't really want to discuss." Kiba answered for both of them, but Sai didn't just take it and go.

"Oh come on Kiba, we're all friends her after and it'll be just between us. You and Naruto are doing okay, right?" Sai pressed.

"Yeah, we're better than ever, it's great to have a friend like him."

"Friend?" Sai questioned as Naruto looked saddened and Kiba looked disappointed within himself for saying it, but it was the truth.

"Yes, we're friends right now."

"Right now? Oh so that just means you guys aren't fucking recently?"

"Sai?!" Hinata protested shaking her head in confusion.

"The fuck is your problem Sai?" Shino asked in irritation.

"Oh, you guys will figure it out soon enough." Sai smiled, spinning his bottle of beer in hand. "So you two decided to take a break from the fairytale fantasy, or did Kiba just now realize that this was just another scenario of deja vu?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kiba asked.

"Nothing, really."

"Really? Cause it seems like you have a problem."

"I do, but it's with him and I already had that discussion with him. The others tried to keep him away from me all night but I feel like we should revisit that chat don't you, Naruto?"

"..."

"Sai why don't you just fuck off." Kiba warned.

"Ironic that you'd be talking about fucking considering that's the reason we're in this problem, because of a little birdie you fucked told me a lot about your current fuck or rather similar fuck depending on how you look at it?"

"What? Who the fuck are you talking about, Kankuro?"

"Ding! We have a winner. However, fall back into this trap makes you an ultimate loser and a complete fool."

"Okay Sai, that's enough!" Hinata intervened.

"Yeah man you've been drinking too much and it's affecting you." Shino agreed trying to guide him away but he shoved him off.

"No! How fucking long are you going to protect Kiba and act like his mother rather than his friend, you know it in your damn self that him being with Naruto is no different than him being with Kankuro and that just straight shit!"

"Sai! You've been drinking too much, just stop already before you get hurt!" Shino warned him, backing him up away from the trio before things got ugly, but Sai wanted to all end.

"Move!" He yelled, tossing the liquid from the beer bottle on Naruto's clothes, pushing past Shino and tackling Naruto.

Kiba tried to grab him but he collided with Shino and they both fell while Hinata held on to Naruto's shirt as Sai forced them both back, knocking Naruto over the stereo and breaking it.

As the silence was the new sound Hinata groaned as Naruto's shirt tore completely in her hands. The others would've thought nothing about it and just thought Naruto and Sai were fighting, but the fact she heard the conversation earlier and saw numerous hickies on Naruto's entire abdomen she quickly concluded that they weren't because of Kiba and that meant one thing.

Naruto stood to his feet and covered his upper body the best he could but it was too late, everyone already saw him, including Kiba.

"Shit..." Shino sighed, figuring it out as well.

"Naruto!" Neji ran over and covered him up with his other shirt. "The fuck Sai!"

"Cut the shit, cause you probably knew the whole fucking thing as well." Sai spat.

"Knew what?!"

"Well since I have everyone's attention why don't I start with thanking Gaara and Temari's noisy good for nothing brother for being at the right place at the right time." Sai congratulated.

"Kankuro..." Temari and Gaara sighed.

"Because of him finding out somethings about our dear friend Naruto that the rest of you just chose to ignore for the sake of Kiba's happiness he's discovered that that Fraud is in a relationship with another guy and has been this entire time and no it wasn't Kiba, it never has been and it never will be."

"He played him like a fiddle. He allowed this lost little boy to navigate himself into his heart once again and completely render him useless. Falling for the same wolf in sheeps clothing all over again!"

"That has nothing to do with you!" Neji argued.

"Oh but it has everything to do with me because Kiba is my friend just as much as that faker is yours. He somehow managed to make him fall in love with him for whatever reason just to not even give the guy the boyfriend title, not even once. Kiba is your friend Neji, do you think that is fair for him to do?"

"..."

"Exactly, but look at this, they haven't fucked since recently and his body is marked all over, maybe even further down but we all get the idea that you've been fucking Naruto, but it wasn't with Kiba, the man you're here dancing with..."

"So you must have another guy, a boyfriend, husband maybe?"

Neji, Naruto and a drunken TenTen's eyes widen in shock as the realization that this was going to happen set in.

"What do you mean husband?" Hinata asked.

"THE RIGHT QUESTIONS!" Sai agreed. "Naruto why don't you show them that ring Kankuro said you pushed in your pocket, show them how beautiful it is, how perfect your life is becoming now that you're fucking and going to marry THE FUCKING BROTHER OF MY BOYFRIEND!"

They all looked at Naruto. He had been caught in a moment and a lie that he didn't want to confess too like this, but now that he thought about it whether it was now or later this would've always been the outcome, the looks he would've gotten and the guilt he would've felt would be just like this.

He felt like they were all disappointed in him, judging him for his actions and his choices to get involved with them when his decisions were not his own and they would affect them, or more specifically, it would affect Kiba.

No matter how much Naruto wanted too he couldn't look him in the eyes despite feeling Kiba's stare on him.

He did want him to be happy after all so maybe it was time to actually take another step into that plan.

"Kankuro!? If this is another one of his tricks Sai then you should probably fucking realize it-" Rock Lee tried defending Naruto.

"It's not a trick!" Naruto confessed. "He's telling the truth, I am engaged and to be married to my fiancé Sasuke."

"What?" Hinata gasped alongside the other, except Kiba who just stood there silently, and Neji and TenTen who already knew of it.

"Finally owning up to your fucked up mentally, but what good does it do when you've already ruined yourself in our eyes? You've kept a secret from us like that-" Sai taunted.

"He has no reason to tell you anything!" Neji tried.

"He does when it comes to our friend! Sounds like you knew about this for a long time too and you've been hiding it as well, I guess birds of a feather do flock together."

"It wasn't our secret to tell."

"Even if Kiba's feelings were on the line." Sai dared, getting closer to Neji and Naruto and making his point clear. "Naruto here doesn't know a single fucking thing about what he wants or who he is and Kiba normally just fucks anyone, but somehow this conniving fox managed to steal his heart and has no intention of releasing it."

"I don't know the reason but what I do know is that he's playing both him and my man's brother. You don't love anyone Naruto! You're a selfish little lost boy who's better of on his own rather than having people around you that only get negatively affected by every fucking decision you make."

"Why don't you do everyone else a favor and just abandon us like you did Shikamaru and Choji, you Fraud." Sai spat, pushing back Neji to the ground and leaving Naruto exposed and vulnerable. "I don't know what any of them see you in anyway, you're just completely pathetic, just like you said."

"Right Shikama-" Sai tried, but knocked to the ground as Shikamaru launched at him and delivered a heavy blow to his face.

"SHIKAMARU!" Temari screamed, trying to pry her boyfriend off of him with the help of Choji, Kauri and Rock Lee.

Through the midst of all the chaos Naruto looked over at Kiba as Shino tried to comfort him, their eyes locked but all Naruto could see was pain in his stare and that was did it for him, tears began streaming down his face as he mumbled something Kiba couldn't hear, but knew exactly what he said.

"I'm sorry for breaking your promise.."

"NARUTO!?" TenTen and Neji yelled as he began sprinting from the scene.

Running back to campus with eyes filled with tears the cold air pricked Naruto's face as his heartbeat rapidly felt as though he had been stabbed in the chest with a knife held by those who he has disappointed.

This wasn't how he wanted things to end, it wasn't even how he wanted things to be, he felt like he just watched his entire life for sometime without doing anything with it. Like he's just been a puppet of his own self but he knew that was lie as he was never in control or made his own decision to anything.

Until it involved Kiba, the one who made him think and do what he wanted simply because that what he wanted from him. He finally realized Kiba let him make his own decisions just for that reason only for him to be in control of himself, but he undermined him and the control he had.

In the end, it blew up in his face and he risked losing him, and probably dragging Neji and TenTen down with him.

"This wasn't how it was supposed to be."

"This wasn't how it was supposed to be."

"This wasn't how it was supposed to-" He repeated but stopped once he collided with something, or rather someone.

"Why don't you look where you're going you fucking blonde idiot!"

"..."

"You look like shit haha. Oh! Are those hickies? I'd say Kiba and you were at it again just like the home wrecking slut that your precious fiancé doesn't know that you are." Kankuro spat, as he stood on his feet. "Come on Juugo."

"You..." Naruto mumbled under his breath whilst clenching his fist

"What was that bitch? Cut the puppetry and speak up!"

"YOU!" Naruto yelled in a fit of rage launching himself towards Kankuro who was pulled back by Juugo who then pinned Naruto on the ground.

"Not gonna happen cutie." He teased as a crowd began to form around them.

Naruto struggled to break free from Juugo's hold and thrashed his legs around as he kept trying until Kankuro shadowed over him.

"If it's a fight you want then it's one you'll get." He said standing over Naruto and hovering his leg over his body before stumping him in his stomach twice and going for a third but Naruto didn't feel nor did he feel Juugo's pressure on him anymore.

Because at that moment Neji heard the commotion and the cries of his best friend amongst the crowd and launched himself at Juugo and quickly delivered swift but heavy blows to his face. Naruto noticed the distraction and quickly kicked Kankuro off his feet and pinned him back to the ground before delivering the same pace of attacks to his face.

Neji for a moment was overthrown by Juugo who managed to get on top of him now and tried to deliver heavy blows to him, but TenTen came in and got Juugo in a head lock and managed to distract him long enough for Neji to get the upper hand again.

Naruto watched as his friends backed him up, but in doing so took his mind off his own fight which allowed Kankuro to knee him in the crotch and roll over on top of him and punch him back in the face, the pain was too great for Naruto to fight back effectively even if there was now a metallic taste in his mouth, for a moment this is what he thought he deserved as Kankuro kept hitting him without end.

This was his reward for hurting his new friends and the guy who just wanted him to love himself just as much as he loved him.

Neji and TenTen continued to fight against Juugo but in doing so left Naruto helpless to Kankuro who was maintaining his upper hand, Naruto could feel his body getting light and his eyes closing as unconsciousness began to take place, however, before it took full effect he saw Kankuro get very brutally kicked in the face and dragged off of him as swift and wickedly brutal blows were delivered to him from a figure Naruto knew the back of all to well.

"AH KIBA STOP!"

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"

"KIBA!" Hinata screamed as the others came out and tried to pry Kiba off of him.

"MY BROTHER!" Temari yelled in fear as she and Gaara screamed bloody murder.

"KIBA STOP IT! HE'S BLEEDING!" Hinata warned him, but he continued regardless.

"NARUTO!" Naruto heard as he laid there helplessly, seeing Shikamaru and Choji frantically shaking him.

"Stay with us dude!"

"Shikamaru he's bleeding too!"

"I know! Naruto just stay awake don't fall asleep, Choji elevate his head!"

"No! You're better at this, you do it and I'll go get some help!"

Shortly after security came and tried to break up the fights, they subdued Juugo, TenTen and Neji but Kiba refused to give up.

"I SHOULD HAVE FUCKING SHOT YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!" Kiba yelled even more, causing Hinata to run away after giving Shino a knowing look.

Naruto sat up against Shikamaru's body as he could feel his ex friend's heartbeat racing and sleep consuming him at the same time. It pained him to know that this was all because of him, the reason he wanted to just go to school and leave was because being who he was meant that people wouldn't get to know the real him and it would stir problems like this.

"It's okay Naruto. We're all still here for you." Was the last thing Naruto heard until he fell unconscious with Shikamaru still by his side and Choji coming back with the campuses nurse as well as Ms. Senju.

"Kiba...I'm sorry." Naruto mumbled to him just as the security guards had to tackle Kiba to the ground and forcefully subdue him.

OMG, do you know how long I've wanted to reach this far, damn... I love including everyone into the story and just seeing their characters come to life, even if they're like Sai's character because at the end of the day I can understand why he just blew up and spoke his mind.

We all know how Sai is, but how he did wasn't exactly the best way, plus I love how Kankuro had no physical proof of anything and Sai just went and believed him, like imagine if he was wrong 💀

Ino being a drunken angel was everything and Shikamaru finally letting his feelings out was beautiful cause I can just see him holding a grudge to this for so long and it would definitely annoy Temari.

Shino didn't get to collect his bugs though 😭

Also I love that Akamaru is just hunting rabbits in the woods and avoiding the drama.

But also Kiba got a gun? Cause the way he was bold to say he'd shoot Kankuro and Hinata was like gone after that.

Anyway I am glad I am back to writing and I hope I can keep it up until this book is finished cause I have other things to write and I don't want to burn out and leave everything unfinished because my drafts are insane at this point.
