Kiba rode his bike all the way down the street and onto the dirt path. Naruto carefully tried to wiggle his way from over the latter's shoulder, but failed as he had an iron grip on him.
Once he had driven down the path, Kiba swerved and halted the bike before tossing Naruto off and in the grass. He fell with a light thud and quickly stumbled upon his feet and clenched his stomach, looking at Kiba in disbelief as he glared at him while sitting on his bike.
"Are you out of your fucking mind!?" Naruto yelled.
"I should be asking you that question." Kiba spat, trying his best to not raise his voice at the blonde drunken fraud in front of him.
"What?" Naruto asked. "You don't have the right to ask me anything!"
"Oh really? Then what makes you think that you can ask me questions?"
"Because I deserve an answer!" He replied angrily. "You sling me over your shoulder while riding on your motorcycle like I'm some piece of plastic before tossing me off! Are you trying to kill me?"
Kiba placed his hands on his waist and chuckled to himself to ease of the incoming anger that was steaming inside him.
"Not only that, but you're driving under the influence like some fucking maniac!"
"I'm the maniac?" Kiba asked.
"Yes, you are and-"
"Okay, you know? Just the fuck up! SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Kiba ordered. "In case you haven't realized you're the one who came to that party, you're the one who came onto me, you're the one that almost committed murder and you're the one who was making out with the biggest egotistical fuck boy that ever attended our school! Not me, but you!"
"That isn't the po-" Naruto tried.
"Before you go off on me and pretend that you're the victim here, just listen to what the fuck I've just said and let it process in that lost mind of yours!"
"..." Naruto bit his lip in irritation, not even thinking twice about what Kiba had just said to him. "You can't talk to me like that..."
"Oh yeah? How should I talk to you then, huh? Should I sit you down and be kind to you until you copy everything I say and do, just to appease to me? Then just wait for you to get messed up in the head and stab me in the back with a kitchen knife!"
"..."
"Naruto, this thing you're doing is fucking with your mentality. Do you realize the kind of damage you would have done to your life if I hadn't stopped you from the biggest mistake you'd ever make!?"
"I didn't need your help." He spat.
"Cause you had everything under control, huh?"
"Just what do you want me to do?" He asked, rubbing his biceps as the air around them was chilly.
"What do I want you to do?! I don't want you to do anything! Let me ask you a question! What do you want to do?"
"..." Naruto shifted from side to side, completely lost on what he should say. He shifted his gaze from Kiba's every now and then as the brunette's eyes pierced through his soul.
"You don't know, do you?" He chuckled. "Just look at yourself, you talk like a whore, you act like a crazy bitch, and you don't even look like you. Neither the you I knew, or the real you."
"..."
"Is that even your shirt? Cause it looks like something from Kankuro's closet."
"Alright! Just cut puppetry, alright? Just stop talking about this!"
"You're still trying to be like him, aren't you?" Kiba asked, visibly upset about it. "I can't understand why someone like you would want to be like Kankuro?"
"Whatever reason makes you like him so much." Naruto replied, acting emotionless.
"What?"
"You heard me! For someone you hate you surely spent a lot of time with him." He began. "You dislike him more than me! The person who pretends to be him yet you give me such a hard time! But what does he get, huh? He gets to fuck you! Because that's all you really care about. You don't care about me, or me being a fraud. All you care about is fucking."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't pretend like I'm stupid! I've seen the hickies and bruises you sport! The same ones that Juugo had when he slept with Kankuro! The same ones you'd come back to the room with, every, fucking, night!" He flared. "You can pretend like you care about me just the fucks of it, but the least you could do is own up to Kankuro being your boyfriend!"
Kiba looked at Naruto in confusion as he started stomping up the dirt path and back from where they had came.
"Where are you going!" Kiba asked, pursing his lips in irritation.
"Away from you! Not that you'd care anyway since you're a cheating, manipulative delinquent. Who's only purpose for living is to make other people's lives miserable!" He finished. "Do yourself a favor and just collect all your shit out of my room. They're going to kick out your dropout ass again anyway."
Naruto backed up and turned around while walking away with a heavy heart. He didn't mean what he had said, but Kiba had hurt him so many times that he was sick of it. He was tired of always getting lips from the latter because it never meant to anything good.
Just another lecture.
He didn't know why his chest hurt so badly, maybe it was him thinking he had finally moved passed wanting Kiba's attention, or maybe it was something more that he hadn't quite realize because of how distorted his own understanding was. Needless to say, while he was lost about what he wanted and knew, Kiba, knew exactly what they both needed.
Naruto heard footsteps rapidly increasing behind him. He spun around in shock as Kiba was blazing full speed towards him. Making an attempt to run was futile, as he was caught and subdued by the brunette.
"Fang stop it! What are you doing!" He argued, trying to break free from his hold.
"Making things clear to you." He grunted, overpowering the blonde and pulling him towards his desired location.
"Wait! Please stop! I'm sorry about what I said!" Naruto pleaded.
"..." Kiba, didn't reply.
"Fang! Please! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
"..." Kiba, didn't reply. As he pulled him further Naruto could hear water rushing from a nearby waterfall and they were approaching a cliff.
"Fang wait! Please don't do this!" Naruto bawled, struggling to break free. "You don't have to move your stuff! I'll move mine! Fang, please I have a family!"
"STOP CALLING ME FANG!" Kiba yelled, halting his movements near the edge of the cliff. He released Naruto's hands and the blonde ran back away from him.
However, when he didn't hear him chasing after him and turned around to just see him standing near the edge and looking out to the sky, he stopped. The view was absolutely stunning, the night sky lightening up the forest and being reflected over the rushing water that flowed calmly down it's destined path.
"What have I been doing with my life if you of all persons thought I hated you and didn't care for you? One of the only people that I actually feel different around." Kiba muttered, but loud enough for Naruto to hear.
"Fang..."
"Is that all you know me as? My street name from high school..." He trailed. "Ironic that I stopped going by that name because of this very place and what it means to me."
Naruto has never seen Kiba so, vulnerable. It was like he was looking at someone he knows, with the aura of someone he's never met before. A different person, to who he was looking at from his own two eyes. He wanted to move closer, but he was still hesitant.
"The past few months I haven't been able to get you off my mind. I quit my excessive drinking and even smoking on a whole because I somehow felt that I didn't need it, whatever emptiness I experienced, was suddenly filled." Kiba continued. "But all we ever started doing was fighting, constant fighting, all because I could never prove myself to you."
"Seeing you as a wallflower made me so upset, because I knew it wasn't you and you were only doing it to appease to someone else. However, when you started becoming like him, I thought that I might as well just go back to what I'm used too. If you and him were just going to be the same thing."
"But that was even a bigger mistake. Running back to the comfort of my toxic ex that shattered every possibility of me ever finding someone who made me feel something different."
"But then you came along, and suddenly that possibility had hope again."
A gush of wind blew between the two, Naruto shielded his eyes from dust and particles that bounced against, but Kiba stood firm as a rock near the ledge. The wind symbolizing the obstacles in life and their reaction to it shows how they dealt with the problem.
Kiba, stood his ground, firm, confident and strong against anything in his way. But Naruto, shunned from the challenge, unsure of himself, who he was and what he stood for.
"So...Kankuro truly was in a relationship with you.." Naruto trailed, glancing to the ground.
"Yeah, but that was three years ago when I began college. Since then I haven't been on the best nor steadiest of terms with him." Kiba replied.
"But you two had sex since I started coming here, right?"
"Yes, we have. But Kankuro only cares for himself. He was never with me because he cared about me. He only wanted me because everyone else did. He never truly cared about me, just the benefits that came with being with the 'bad boy'"
"You say that like you're not a bad boy.."
"Bad boys, can't love." Kiba replied, looking to the sky hopefully. He bent his knees to take a seat on the cliff, leaning forward as if was about to jump. "Within every human, there's a heart."
"Kiba!" Naruto called out, fear streaming through his body.
"I'm not going to jump off." Kiba chuckled lightly. "I'm just taking a seat. Didn't realize you cared for me like that though."
"Of course I care..." He trailed.
"Guess you're not exactly like him then." Kiba replied.
"I'm nothing like Kankuro."
"You say that, but do you really even know what you're like?"
"..."
"You're generous, strong minded, impulsive, indecisive, helpful and smart." Kiba began, making Naruto blush while he stared at his back. "But, you're also too generous, weak minded, indecisive, selfish to yourself and stupid."
"I'm not selfish to myself."
"Yes, you are. You're willing to put your own personality and free will on the back burner just to appease to other people. That's what I can't stand about you, you're never truly yourself."
"You wouldn't understand! I wasted years of high school but in my final years my parents didn't give up on me. They accepted my mistakes and made me do better. I have to show them my gratitude by doing this for them, giving them the son they deserve."
"That's selfish! You shouldn't have to force yourself to be someone you're not just because you want to show gratitude. It fine in appreciating what they've done for you but lying to them in return is fucked up."
"I'm not lying to them..."
"Are you even happy with the way you are? When we first met and right now? Can you admit to being happier in those times than you used to be in high school?" Kiba asked.
"No..."
"Then what's the point? Putting your happiness aside for other people? How do you expect to grow as a person when you have no goal in life that you want, you're just living for other people."
"...You don't have a goal in life either."
"Why? Because I'm on the verge of getting kicked out of college?" Kiba chuckled lowly.
"You've repeated your course three times Kiba. Your family are trying to give you a future, but the opportunity is slipping through your fingers."
"I never wanted to follow in my family's footsteps."
"What?"
"Our business was founded by my great grandfather, who then passed it down to my grandfather and then to my father. He worked day and night trying to live up to the expectations of the family's business, putting up a positive front with everyone, including me. When on the inside he was becoming more and more depressed from slaving his life away without a goal for himself. That is until one day, when he made his first and last selfish decision..."
"You don't mean..."
"Yeah, he killed himself. Three years ago he couldn't handle it anymore and so he took his life, by jumping off this very cliff and drowning himself."
Naruto's breathed stopped upon hearing the story about Kiba's father. He finally realized why the brunette had not only dropped out of high school, but also why he was against the idea of Naruto being a fraud. It was because of his own personal experience of seeing how it can affect people.
He hesitantly walked towards the brunette and shyly kneeled behind him. He didn't know what else to do except what had came to his mind. Revealing something like that must've been really hard for Kiba to talk about.
So Naruto comforted him by giving him a back hug. It couldn't take away what has already happened, but he was willing to all the brunette to feel reassured.
"I don't want that to happen to you." Kiba mumbled, his eyes watering from the mere thought of it being Naruto, but he fought back the tears, not wanting to get emotional in front of the blonde.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through that Kiba. I can't imagine the pain that you've been carrying for so long." Naruto began, his eyes beginning to water as well. "And here I am, reminding you of the same thing everyday by pretending to be someone I'm not."
"I'm so, so, so sorry Kiba. My actions were truly selfish and I can't ever forgive myself for this." Naruto cried, sinking his face into the latter's back and whimpering against him. The sound of his crying made Kiba's heart clench.
It wasn't a sound he enjoyed hearing. Especially from Naruto. So he spun himself around and kneeled with the blond, wrapping his arms around his neck and allowing him to muffle his cries into his chest while he rocked him gently and tried to quiet him down.
"Don't cry anymore. I'm sick of hearing you like this." Kiba hushed. "You shouldn't have to apologize for anything, it's not your fault and you didn't know. Besides I come here everyday to just sit and think."
"Really? But I should've listened to you when you told me to stop being a fraud. I've lost so much from it, you, Neji and even myself! I pushed so many people away, including myself that I don't even recognize myself in the mirror anymore! I feel like I'm going crazy."
"I haven't been going to classes! I've been drinking, I barely talk to anyone besides Kankuro, I hurt Hinata, you and Akamaru, came on to you, tried to compete with Kankuro for you attention and now I reminded you of one thing that you've been trying to repress from your memory ever since it happened!" He cried. "I'm the worst person to have every existed."
"You did all of that?" Kiba asked while staring at the sky.
"Yeah! I'm guilty for so many things and you're right, I'm always playing the victim when I deserve it."
"Hey! Don't say that! You don't deserve shit you hear me?" Kiba hushed. "You're lost at the moment, but it's never too late to change and make a difference."
"You groomed yourself into believing that being someone else will satisfy those who's satisfaction you seek, but you learn to satisfy yourself now. As for me, I'm still here and I'm fine, you hurt me, but I'm still here to help you through this if that what YOU want."
"I couldn't ask you to do something like that for me."
"Naruto look at me." He said raising the blonde's head and wiping his stained cheek. "Like I said before, I care about, more than you think. I'm willing to drop everything for you right now, be there for you as long as YOU want me too. Whatever, you want, I'll make it happen because I want to do that for YOU.
"Nobody else, just you."
"But your father? Wouldn't you be following in his footsteps by doing that for me?" Naruto asked.
"He slaves his life away to please other people. I'm doing this because I know it'll benefit you and I'll be pleased to see it." He explained. "That's the difference between selfishness and selflessness."
"I see..." Naruto trailed.
"So what is that you want Naruto?"
"Can you and Akamaru move back in? The room is a mess and I'm going to need help cleaning it."
"Akamaru doesn't really have thumbs to help clean up." Kiba smiled, earning a small chuckle from the blonde. "I'd love to move back in with you though. I miss my stuff that you keep wearing."
"Haha they're big and comfy." Naruto laughed
"So am I." He teased. "Yet I never see you putting me on."
"The other day we did more than just putting on." Naruto smiled, making the brunette smirk.
Kiba honestly didn't think Naruto would remember any of that because truthfully it's been on his mind regularly. He never forgot just how good it made him feel to touch and hold the blonde in a way just like how they were now. It made him not want to let him go, only keeping him as close to him as possible.
Though he was aware the blonde had a boyfriend, and because of that he respected his relationship and didn't proceed that conversation any further. Despite the fact he didn't like Sasuke because he also contributed heavily to Naruto's fraudulent behavior.
"Kiba..." Naruto trailed, coming back from his own thought process and looking up and the brunette with a soft expression and light blush on his cheeks.
"Huh? Oh I should get us back to the dorm before it gets too late." Kiba replied, making both of them stand up as he turns to the water and smiled thinking about his father once again before turning back to Naruto. "Okay, you read-"
Kiba was cut off when Naruto grabbed him by his leather jacket and pulled him into him, smashing their lips together. It was unexpected but the brunette didn't to think twice as he began to kiss back, wrapping his arms around the blonde's waist.
To Kiba, the kiss was the spark of something new in their relationship. Something that he was actually afraid to try because of Naruto's similarity with Kankuro, but the way he touched him, opened his eyes to some something more. Something the brunette hoped he'd be able to feel again.
To Naruto, the kiss was a reassurance to himself and Kiba. This was the beginning of him being selfless on his own term. He wanted to express his gratitude towards Kiba, but also quench his own lustful curiosity and desires.
The kiss didn't last long as the fighting, crying and alcohol had tired the blonde out. Before he knew it, the place become pitch black and his whole body went numb.

The next day, Naruto woke up to the Sun streaming through his windows. It didn't take rocket science to know it was almost noon, but he felt quite comfortable in bed. He had a slight headache, but that didn't matter as his memories began coming back to him.
He looked over to Kiba's bed, but he wasn't there. A part of him was confused, and sad by this. He began to think that the event of last night were just a dream, nothing really happened.
"It was a dream?" He thought.
Naruto figured he hallucinated and passed out during the party and that either Kankuro or Juugo brought him home. Be that as it may, he still decided to follow his dream's warning. No longer will he be hanging out with Kankuro. Even though it was a dream he touched his lips and pouted, remembering how Kiba's felt against his. It was a feeling that was very memorable for him, it felt so real and he missed it.
He threw the covers off him and that's when he realized he had on Kiba's leather jacket underneath.
At first Naruto was confused, but when he looked down his body and saw that it wasn't his covers that were so tight around him, but it was the pair of big arms wrapped securely around his body.
"Turn the lights off." Kiba mumbled in his half naked sleep, with his face snuggled against the blonde's back.
