What is that noise?

Is it coming from outside?

I walk towards my window, tired because I should be asleep.

PLINK! PLINK!

It's definitely coming from outside.

PLINK! PLINK!

But what is it?

PLINK! PLINK!

I see a void. It's silver and seems like something straight out of a science fiction movie.

PLINK! PLINK!

What is it?

PLINK! PLINK!

Is it some sort of portal?

PLINK! PLINK!

Oh, that terrible noise!

PLINK! PLINK!

I just want to go to bed.

PLINK! PLINK!

That noise! It's keeping me awake!

PLINK! PLINK!

Maybe there is some button to turn it off.

PLINK! PLINK!

It's worth a shot.

PLINK! PLINK

I'm looking for a button when suddenly, it starts to pull me in.

PLINK! PLINK! PLINK!

The noise is more rapid now.

PLINK! PLINK! PLINK!

I try to run away from it, but the machine is too strong.

PLINK! PLINK! PLINK! PLINK!

The beeps are more rapid than ever now, and I can't run away much longer. It's pulling me in.

I give in to the pull, too tired to try much longer. It pulls me in to a sort of tunnel. It pulls me extremely fast. I am floating in this tunnel, being pushed by an unknown force. Luckily, the noise has gone away, so I have peace and quiet.

Not a minute later, the tunnel ends. I am falling. Falling. Falling. I brace for my doom. I pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. I'm not. I clench my body into a ball, ready for impact. But it never comes. I'm still falling. 

Falling forever, never landing.
