1. What inspired you to start writing?

Other authors who wrote some of my favourite books. I also used writing as an escape from my life and makeup stories that I planned for no one to read. I just wanted my voice to be heard and for life to get a little better. There's something about writing that just makes you believe that magic is real and anything can happen.

2. Did you have any writers' block along the way? how did you get past them?

Oh yeah but it's usually whenever I don't like where the story is going and I need to delete the most recent thing I wrote. Whether it's a paragraph, a scene or an entire chapter, chances are that the last thing I wrote was what was giving me the block. So I erase it and start writing a brand new, different take on the situation. That usually helps.
Either that or I'm burnt out from writing and I need to read more books, watch a TV show or movie that's kind of similar to mine. So let's say I'm the author of Twilight and I get a writer's block. My approach would be to read Vampire Academy and watch The Vampire Diaries. That way I don't completely exit the world (of vampires) but I don't stay in my own imaginary world either.

3. Do you see yourself in any characters and why?

Yes. I think I can say that at the time of writing all of my stories, I could see myself in every main character. Maybe not completely since their personalities are quite different but there is always an aspect or an emotion of me put into their stories and backgrounds. I also try to write side characters I can relate to because I don't want them to be the kind of characters you could replace with a lamp and no one would notice. The character I can relate to most so far is November Lace from Entangled. Let me tell you, that girl and I went through sh*t together and I will forever stay loyal to her even though she's fictional. She dragged me from the dark side and taught me what it's like to have a healthy relationship with yourself, your body and everybody else. She taught me that it's okay to feel your emotions and not let anyone shame you for the way you react to things. Entangled is honestly the highlight of my life and I could talk about it and its characters for days.

4. How old are you?

I just turned 21 on December 17.

5. How old were you when you started writing?

I was 15 when I first posted on Wattpad. But I used to write on Fanfiction.net about Divergent and The Mortal Instruments and that was back when I was about 13 or 12.

6. Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel?

Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel? This is going to sound cliche but I never ever thought anyone would read my stories on Wattpad. It didn't even occur to me that people were reading it until I hit 20k reads on my first book My Bad Boy Neighbor which just shocked me. Then I started feeling the pressure to be perfect, to write better, to deal with constructive criticism well even though at the time it wasn't even criticism but straight up savage hate. Then for a while, I let those numbers get into my head - not because I felt better than other people - but because they started validating my worth and made me feel like my family would finally see me and be proud of me. I started to use those numbers as proof that I can achieve great things if I put my mind to it. But sadly that's never enough for them.So when I first started writing, I felt like I needed an escape from that exact cycle of toxicity between my family relationship and my friendships. I just wanted to be accepted and feel like I had a place to belong. My characters never judged and let my voice be heard. What writing did for me still makes me cry to this day because I'm so grateful for it.

7. What's your outside life like?

I only have a couple of close friends from school whose interests drastically differ from mine. They'd rather go out to party and spend their money on alcohol and short-term fun. Which is fine, don't get me wrong. You do you, sis. Seriously, I might join you every once in a while.But... I'm very, very different. I try to think ahead and focus on my work. Since I dropped out of last year of school two years ago due to mental health problems, I'm now catching up and doing online school. So most of my days are spent inside, drinking tea, watching movies, writing, filming YouTube videos, hanging out with my pets, reading, studying and helping take care of my family.I don't go out much but when I do, I want to invest in meaningful relationships and meet up for a drink and talk about deep stuff and things that matter. I'm not the kind of person who enjoys small talk.

8.where do you get your ideas from?

Fun fact: I have vivid dreams. And some of those ideas I use from my dreams. Entangled for example was when I dreamt about two people in a boarding school. I don't remember any specific details anymore but that's how I got the idea.

9. What do you like to do when you're not writing?

Stay in bed and listen to music. That's how I develop certain stories and ideas that were already in my head. I try to imagine what the characters would say or how they would react to certain situations, which is how I get to know them and it helps me portray them as real people. Or at least they're real in my head but that doesn't always happen on paper.  I also love sleeping or cleaning my room. I was very messy as a teenager which made me so much more unhappy with my life. But now I take care of my environment and it helps me welcome the good energy. Plus, I grew to love cleaning because I can listen to audiobooks and they make time fly.

10. What does your family think about your writing?

Most of my family loves me but they're very traditional. You have to understand that I come from Slovenia where writing or reading aren't as popular. Most teenagers here look down on it and I've had several people in school laugh at me because I always had my nose stuck in a book. So there's no real future as a writer here unless you have good contacts.

It's important to note that none of my family other than my sister has read any of my works. So my grandma doesn't support my writing. She often tells me that it won't get me anywhere and that I won't be able to pay my bills. She constantly asks me how much I earn and then says something to invalidate all my hard work. She loves me but... she wants to see me take a different path in life.

I've never asked my grandpa what he thinks but he's never given me a hard time about it so I'm guessing he's on board. My uncle doesn't speak about my writing either but I'm getting a different vibe from him. He has said many times in between the lines that I'll never achieve anything.

My dad doesn't know what I write about since it's in English but he's always incredibly supportive and super proud. He keeps telling me to follow my dreams and be happy even if it makes other people unhappy. I just love him so much and he's probably the main reason why I published my first book, My Bad Boy Neighbor. I just wanted to prove to him that I finally did it.

It took my brother some time to come to terms with me being a writer because he just doesn't see it as a profession. I think lately, he and his girlfriend have been just incredibly supportive but they still haven't read any of my books yet.The last one is my sister - she's the only support system I have. The only person who keeps me going and inspires me to prove everybody wrong. She believes in me and has read my work. I'm beyond grateful for the things that she does for me.

11. What do you think makes a good story?

If you write from the heart and write what you genuinely want to write, not what other people told you to write. Only you can tell your story so don't let anybody else narrate it for you.

12. What's your favourite genre?

I usually write Teen Fiction/Romance but my favourite genre would have to be Fantasy - or Apocalyptic if that's even a thing. I want to write both of these someday but I think I'll post them on my other account

13. Do you write on wattpad or do you use software (like Microsoft word)?

It is easiest for me to write on Wattpad but sometimes I use Google Docs because it saves automatically and I'm not at risk for losing any of my content in case of a power outage.

14. What's the hardest thing to write for you and why?

Bad boys. I know they're all I write about but... I'm just not witty or funny. Not even in real life. My sense of humour gets overlooked and there's a reason for it. So I challenge myself to write interesting characters such as bad boys. Sometimes I succeed, other times I don't.I also struggle with worldbuilding, character descriptions and literally every description. That's because I usually skim through those and just move on to the story even if I'm reading a book from someone else. But I usually add them in through edits.

15. Do you work on an outline or just go with the flow?

When I first started writing, I improvised everything. Then I started plotting out everything. Now I improvise for the first 15 chapters to leave myself the freedom of worldbuilding and creating character personalities. I never want to limit myself. When the first few improvised chapters are done and I have a sense of where the story is going, I start outlining for the next five chapters. Once those are written and I hit chapter 20, I make an outline for the rest of the book. I don't stick to those notes like they're scared because I get some amazing ideas during writing so if a story pulls me into a different direction, I go there and adjust my outline if needed.

16. Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers?

Thank you for sticking by me and for giving me the freedom to find myself as well as help me find my voice. You are very, very much loved.

17. And lastly, Do you have any advice for new writers.

And lastly, Do you have any advice for new writers. If you don't have a support system, be your own. You need to believe in yourself first and you are the only person whose opinion should matter. There will be people in life who will try to dim your light but don't take them too seriously. And don't take yourself too seriously either. Laugh at yourself, make mistakes and be ready to learn and grow.Thank you so much for agreeing to do this, its honestly an honour I'll have it out by tomorrow, could you please share it when it comes out, I really want your followers to know more about you Mon at 8:15 pmSure, no problem :)Hey, I'm so sorry but I won't be online for a while due to a family emergency Tue at 9:45 amHey, don't worry AT ALL. Let me know when you can put it but don't stress. I hope everything's alright and that you're having a beautiful day ❤️
