Author [@Cat_Archer]

Welcome, everyone. Today we have the lovely Cat_Archer

A big thank you to her for taking the time to answer these questions.

If you haven't read her books then please do. They're amazing...

Without further ado...

...

1. What inspired you to start writing?
My mom. She always told me I had a very interesting imagination and was the one to convince me to start writing fanfiction.

2. Did you have any writers' block along the way? how did you get past them?
I don't really get writer's block. I lose inspiration to write. I will continually watch whatever I'm trying to keep inspiration for. Like if it's Teen Wolf, I'll watch Teen Wolf 24/7 and leave no chance for me to get another idea to distract myself before I finish this book/idea.

3. Do you see yourself in any characters and why?
My characters stem from me, so yes, I do see myself in them but not in more the things they do or how they act but more in the things they like. (Food, TV, etc.)

4. How old are you? when did you start writing?

I'm in my early twenties and I started writing when I was 14 if I'm remembering correctly.

5. Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel?
When I first started writing I was very angry at life. Very angry about how my life had turned out so far and it was all made into Rae (my OC). Which is probably why she has really bad anger issues.

6. What's your outside life like?
If I'm not writing, 8.5/10 times I'm probably playing a video game.

7. Where do you get your ideas from?
The ideas normally come from the amusement park that is my brain mixed with a lot of scrolling through Pinterest for pictures to get my brain thinking. Sometimes I have a specific face claim that I want to use and I can create a story around it, but I don't think I've ever actually published one of those stories.

8. What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Watch youtube, play video games, and playing with my dogs (which happens a lot more than one would think).

9. What does your family think about your writing?
They like that I write. They're very supportive.

10. What do you think makes a good story?
Really good characters. I know some stories where the characters plain carried the plot and the plot was the cheesiest thing ever. The characters are everything to me.

11. What's your favourite genre?
Romance and angst but I don't know if that would be considered a genre.

12. Do you write on wattpad or do you use software (like Microsoft word)?
I mainly write on Wattpad and edit with other software

13. What's the hardest part for you to write, and why?
The ending. I like the fact that I finish my stories but I get sad that they're over.

14. Do you work on an outline or just go with the flow?
I make an outline in my head, but it's rare that I will actually write it down.

15. Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers?
I  love all of you dearly. Thank you so much for reading my books and I'm so happy that you all like them.

16. And lastly, Do you have any advice for new writers.
It's going to be really hard, but you'll figure it out. It may take some time. Maybe even a lot of time. But you'll find your groove and as long as you're writing for yourself, and you're happy with what you're writing then that's all that matters.
