CHAPTER I
Through the crowdy and busy streets, Zia somehow managed to get inside the huge building without losing any of her things. She went inside with her a backpack and another huge bag.
She went towards the lift without wasting another minute and pressed 13. Once she settled in with her bags she took out her phone and scrolled through some apps, not before sending a quick message to someone informing about her arrival here.
Within no time the lift stopped and Zia got out with both of her bags. She moved forward towards her room and knocked on there.
"Hey! You must be Zia. I am Sarah. Nice to meet you." A tall blonde girl in her early twenties opened the door greeted her with a smile plastered on her face.
"Hi, nice to meet you too Sarah." Zia responded as Sarah moved away letting her enter inside the flat.
"Would you like some tea?" Sarah asked but Zia politely declined her.
"I'll just unpack all my things first." Zia told the blonde and the latter showed her the way to her room.
The flat was way too big for just two people, it had four bedrooms, a big hall and a huge kitchen. It was well furnished, yet looked very plane due to the simple white walls.
Zia looked around and to no surprise her room was just as bland as the rest of the flat. Not that she mind it, it just felt very out of place to her consider her older flat. Zia shrugged all the thoughts away and started unpacking all her stuff being careful with all the valuable things.
She never wanted to move out of her place but she didn't have a choice. She knew that what happened the day before was for the best but a part of her wanted it to never happen. She didn't want to live a life like this after all, yet here she was, having no control over anything happening in her life.
"You wanna have lunch?" Sarah knocked on the door asking the brunette, who didn't know if she wanted it or not. She wanted to take a nap before starting with her mission but the idea of eating was just as tempting as sleep.
"Yeah! I'll be there in a minute." Zia smiled at the younger girl. She took out the remaining clothes from her bag as threw them over the chair, not caring about the mess she made. She closed the empty bags and put them aside before moving out of the room to join Sarah for lunch.
She went to the dining table and took the seat opposite to Sarah and served herself the cheese sandwich, which didn't look very delicious. She took her first bite and we'll it was even worse than it looked but she didn't say anything.
"So, you got the details?" Asked the younger girl and Zia answered with a slight nod.
"Yes. I informed them that I've reached here but they haven't passed any orders yet." She explained.
"Are you nervous?" Sarah asked.
"No. It's not my first time on a mission!" Zia scoffed. Deep inside she was nervous as well as scared but she didn't want anyone to see any of those emotions.
"Well you kinda look nervous! I mean it's okay if you are nervous. It's a big responsibility, a huge mission, it's okay to be a little afraid." Sarah assured the brunette who in turn gave her a small smile.
"I think I just need a quick nap. Wake me if something urgent comes up." With that Zia took the last bite of her sandwich and left to her room.

"Ethan!!"
"Ethan!! Wait up." The short brunette shouted in her thick british accent as she chased after the taller man, who didn't respond and ignored her.
"Ethan! I swear to god, if you don't fucking stop right now you'll regret it more than anything else." She shouted but it seemed useless. He had spent enough time with her to know how empty her threat was.
"Okay! Last warning mate. If you don't stop, I'm gonna call your Mum!" The twenty-one year old girl was still running after him, out of breath. She smirked as the older guy stopped in his tracks and glared at her.
"Why the fuck you were running so fast? You know I have asthma right!!?" She crooked her eyebrows while the blonde guy stared at her with confusion.
"You don't have asthma, Rose! Stop being so dramatic. What do you want?" Ethan snapped at his best friend. Well she is his only friend.
"You know so fucking well what I want, you asshole! It's your birthday today, and it's not everyday that your bestfriend turns twenty-five!" Ethan rolled his eyes at her. She was always a crack head anyways.
He ignored her and continued to walk towards his Mom's apartment. She had called him asking if he could come at her place because she wanted him to celebrate his birthday with her . Ethan never said no to his mom as she was, and still is, his everything. Rose had just been added to his list, no matter how big of a crackhead she was, she was precious to him.
Every relationship he was left with after his dad abandoned him and his mom during his childhood was precious to him. When he arrived at her place, she led him to the balcony which was Ethan's favorite spot in her home. It was cozy and relaxing, he loved it. It reminded him of the time when he sat on the floor and his mom massaged his head as he was stressed about his debut album. The only difference right now was that Rose and his Mom had spent a whole day to decorate it.
Ethan, Rose and his mom cut a small cake, singing happy birthday to him. No matter how big of a mega star Ethan was now or how huge his bank balance had grown, he was still a little baby to his mom and Rose, even though she younger than him both mentally and physically. The three of them always were inseparable. After spending some time and listening to Rose's blabbering for almost an hour, they headed to Rose's orphanage to celebrate with the small kids.
Ethan loved kids. These kids were like an escape for him. Whenever he felt a little low he used to visit here and play with the kids for hours, though now it was not possible given his busy life. This year he was fortunately not busy during his birthday but he was packed with photoshoots, MV shoots and a tour for his latest album, so he would basically be wandering around the world for at least 8 months.
Times like this made Ethan want to curl up on his mom's lap and cry his heart out because he won't feel her warm embrace for a long time as she wouldn't accompany him on his tours because she helped Rose with taking care of the kids. Reaching the orphanage Ethan looked around with curiosity and some tears lining his eyes. He had just visited this place last month and the kids here seemed to have grown up.
The ones who just learnt to roll over their stomach had learnt to sit up by themselves. The ones who were beginning to learn how to crawl had almost started walking by themselves. He bent down on his knees picking up a kid in a rabbit onsie pouting due to her being hungry. "What's wrong little one?" Ethan stood up with her and walked to the kitchen to get her a bottle of milk.
"Here!" He said as he started feeding the little baby, making funny faces at her. After almost five minutes, the kid finished the bottle and he put it aside. Ethan then started rocking the baby gently, who in return gave him the sweetest smile he's ever seen. In less than ten minutes, her green eyes started to close and she fell asleep.
"ZACH! GIVE THAT BACK TO ME!!" He heard an angry Rose and looked up to see her running after a boy not older than five years. He looked at the kid in his hands, worried she might be awake, only to find her in a deep slumber. He smiled at the little girl, and gently placed her back in her crib.
He came outside only to see Rose still chasing that 5 years old. In a corner there were some kids playing and on the other corner some kids sitting around his mother, while she was telling them different stories. He smiled softly at them. Only if there was a way to skip this tour!
So, how was it?
Did you like the characters? Whom did you like the most? Mine is Rose and Pri's is the little kid who fell asleep in Ethan's arms. Also don't forget to vote, comment and share or just all of that.
