IV

3rd Person's POV

"We tried our hardest to recover the most items that we thought you would want. We're so sorry this happened."

Georgia sits still not blinking, not talking, hardly breathing, hardly living. Her world had turned upside down within a few hours. She has just been sitting with her parents eating a birthday breakfast laughing and enjoying life. Now here she was sitting in a hospital staring at a blank white wall, wishing that she had been taken too.

"She doesn't seem to have any family that we can call. Her grandmother passed away two years ago. The father's side of the family has denied contact and doesn't want anything to do with her. What are we going to do?"

Georgia glances over at the nurse and doctor who had been whispering over in the corner of the room. Even with the tv on she had still managed to figure out exactly what they had said. She stares back at the wall without hesitation. She had no idea why her dad's family didn't want her but at this point they could go to hell. They had never been in her life or most of her father and mother's marriage so for all she cared they weren't her family.

"She will have to go into foster care. Sadly this is the only option she has."

Days pass by and Georgia had still not spoken a word to anyone. She hadn't even moved from her spot where she would stare at the wall all day. The only time she would move was to go to the bathroom. She wasn't even eating, which led the doctor to giving her a feeding tube.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Hi honey. How're you doing today?"

Silence.

"That's fine I understand you don't want to talk. How about you write for me?"

Georgia feels a bounce on the bed and glances over to see a short woman with blonde hair and green eyes. She was very pretty and very smiley. She was always in a good mood and she was always trying to make Georgia talk.

The woman holds out a white board and a marker as she wears a large smile. Georgia looks down at the board and then back at the woman as she nods excitingly. This had reminded Georgia of her mother.

Sighing, Georgia looks back at the wall without giving the woman another glance. The woman sighs sadly as she stares at the broken teen girl. She drops the board and marker on the bed then jumps down and walks to the door. Just as her hand touches the door knob she hears a click.

Turning around quickly she sees Georgia place the cap on the end of the marker and write neatly on the board. The woman sits down in the chair beside the bed and waits for Georgia to finish. Georgia writes something on the board then flips it around without saying a word.

'Your name is Jamie right? and it's okay you can sit back on the bed.'

Jamie smiles making her face light up and glow. A bold yellow and lightish pink hue shadows her body as she makes her way to Georgia. Georgia sighs and closes her eyes then opens them once again. She lets out a breath of relief as she no longer sees a color shadow around Jamie.

Georgia bounces slightly as Jamie hops onto the bed. A small smile wants to break free but she doesn't let it.

"Alright G. I'm Jamie Youth, your social worker. So I'm going to be spending alot of time with you and we are going to find you a nice new place to stay until you're able to care for yourself."

Georgia nods instantly loving that Jamie hadn't said she was there to find her a new home. There was no where that she could go that would make her feel at home like the way she did days ago.

"Now this may take a few weeks maybe even months. And I don't want to get your hopes up, I want to be real and I have a feeling that's what you would want me to be right now, but sometimes it even takes years to find a new fam- um new place to grow. But it will all work out the way it is meant to. I believe that everything will be okay. It may not seem like it at the moment, but I promise you Georgia... you will be okay."

Georgia sits and stares at the small and preppy yet serious woman in shock.

This lady had tried multiple times over the past few days to get her to talk and even when she didn't she would just sit and tell stories or talk about celebrities and new nail polish colors that she wanted to try.

This lady had honestly taken Georgia's mind off of reality even if she never replied back. And that made Georgia feel cared about. She knew Jamie was doing this because she wanted to not because it was her job.

Jamie jumps in surprise as Georgia pulls her into a hug. Jamie's eyes water as she hears the soft cries of the young girl.

"It'll be okay honey. In the end it'll all be okay."

I actually really like twilight. Can't wait to put my little twists on the story here and there!! Hope you guys are enjoying so far!!
