III

3rd Person's POV

Silence.

All that's heard is pure silence.

It cuts through the air and makes Georgia's chest feel tight. She watches as her mother's eyes change from their normal beautiful blue to a murky abnormal white. Gideon rushes over to Faye and grabs her arms lightly guiding her away from the stove and the shattered glass.

"Georgia turn off the stove."

Still shocked and scared, Georgia moves towards the stove being cautious of the broken glass and turns the knob until she can't see the flame anymore.

Gideon whispers lightly to his wife as she sits as still as a statue. Her face looked like she had seen a ghost and that make Gideon feel completley uneasy.

"Faye honey come back. Come back and tell me what you see. I'm here with you and I'm not going anywhere. Please come back."

Faye gasps as her breath suddenly leaves her body. She glances at Georgia who had been standing nearby looking as scared as can be. Tears fill Faye's eyes as her mind recollects what she just saw in her head.

"No... no... not my baby."

"What happened Faye?"

Gideon lightly shakes his wife, trying to get some kind of answer out of her but nothing seemed to work.

"Alright Georgia go grab your mom's bag and your shoes, we're going to take your mom to the hospital."

"I-is she o-okay?"

"She is fine honey. I promise you. She just in shock right now. But I need you to help me so we can get her to the doctor okay?"

There were so many questions running through Georgia's head. She wanted to know what the heck was going on. She wanted to know why her mother's eyes had changed colors. And she wanted to know why a light hue of colors were coming off her parents bodies. Her mother's body held a violet and dark brown hue like shadow. While her father's light indigo and dark blue. But she couldn't ask questions at a time like this. No matter how much she wanted or needed to.

Georgia sprints down the hallway to get her mother's purse and her own shoes. Faye watches Georgia leave the kitchen then bursts into tears. Gideon pulls her into a hug then kisses her shoulder.

"What did you see?"

"Gideon it was awful. These people... they are monsters in diguise. They're going to hurt our little girl, they're going to ruin our baby."

"Who will Faye?"

"The-"

"I got it!" Georgia says as she runs back into the kitchen.

Gideon frowns slightly looking at Faye as she shakes her head, meaning not right now. They seemed to be running out of time and had still not gotten any closer to revealing the truth to Georgia.

Almost as if he was reading Faye's mind, Gideon looks over at Georgia and says, "Honey we will take your mother to the hospital to get her checked and then we're coming back home."

"I'm not going to school today?"

"No we have alot to talk to you about."

Georgia frowns in confusion but doesn't utter another word as she watches her father help her mother stand up. Faye's legs weaken from the energy she lost with her breakdown, causing Gideon to carry her. Georgia walks behind the two slowly thinking of all the possiblities that they would go over. Maybe her mother was sick and they were trying to wait until after her birthday to tell her. She didn't know, all she knew was she would go crazy if they wouldn't tell her what the heck was going on soon.

Gideon reaches for the door but freezes in an instant. His nostrils flare as a burning aroma fills his nose. Faye's eyes widen as she meets gaze with Gideon. They both turn towards Georgia who had been just now walking through the kitchen door. Gideon's eyes zoom in on the moving air above the stove and instantly he knows that fate had a twisted way of working. Georgia freezes as she looks up and sees her parents standing at the front door with wide eyes. She lets go of the door and it slides across the floor making a light orange spark light up quickly.

"No!" Faye screams as she watches Georgia's eyes widen staring as the spark turns into a large flame.

In an instant, Faye holds up a hand to Georgia who vanishes in thin air as the house explodes into falmes.

Silence.

Darkness.

Two things filled Georgia's senses as she came to. She had realized she was outside as she sits up and holds her head. Looking around at her surroundings, her eyes widen as she stares straight into large red flames that engulfed her home.

"Mom... Dad..."

Standing up on shaky legs, she slowy makes her way towards the house. Tears flood her eyes and fall down her face as she sobs in distress. She wails and falls to her knees as she sees through the open door.

Sirens fill the quiet neighborhood. They grow closer and closer but the loudest thing that night had been the heartbroken cries of a fourteen year old girl.
