i never thought i'd have to write this. like ever but here we go.

also, sorry, this is a rant because i'm very annoyed at the moment.

it's come to my attention that someone has literally stolen one of my ideas. it's the exact same storyline, same format just with different characters. i won't say which story it is at the moment because i want to protect this user at the moment and i don't want to get into drama because drama is so unnecessary. i just need to get this off my chest.

i don't know about you guys but it literally takes me days to come up with ideas. i never plan my books but i always have a rough outline and rough ideas of what i want to happen in my head. i can spend weeks, months sometimes writing the stories and it really upsets me that someone can just swoop in and steal that idea and claim it as their own.

the whole point of wattpad is to be creative! please come up with your own ideas because the effort that goes into my stories is unreal to me. especially since i'm quite a lazy person.

i always panic if i use a name or if my idea has any similarities to another and i will always run it past the original author to make sure that they're okay with it.

i've had some parts of my stories be used in the past but i always let it slide because i felt that there was literally nothing i could do about it but this takes it to a whole new level.

it really hurts me. maybe i should be flattered because someone thinks my idea is good enough to steal, i don't know but what i do know is that it angers me and it hurts me immensely.

anyway, i just wanted to get this off my chest. do what you will with this information but please know that i am not in any way trying to start drama. i hate drama and when it comes to it, i will try to resolve this issue peacefully.

this might serve as a warning or make some people think about what they're publishing before they actually do it.
