PROLOGUE.

It was April 18th of 2019. Thirteen years olds, Ravi Singh and Phoenix Bell were playing board games in their shared treehouse. "Come on Rav! Play fair!" Phoenix sighed in annoyance "I am playing fair. Sorry that i play according to the rules and not by cheats"

Phoenix rolled her eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night" Ravi closed up the board game. Phoenix laid her back flat against the wood floor. Ravi took his spot next to her. Wrapping an arm around her as they shared a close moment. "You're practically suffocating me" Ravi laughed against her arm. "Rude Nix"

There was movement outside and the sound of bickering. Phoenix and Ravi got up and looked out the tree house window. They had a clear view of everything. "Who could it be?" Phoenix looked at Ravi who only shrugged. "Becca and Atticus are the only ones home, plus Atticus was already asleep."

"Where's Andie?" Ravi questioned in confusion as everything wasn't adding up. "She went to go pick up my parents in think" Phoenix had seen something when looking into the living room window. But she didn't tell Ravi.

"Sal had mentioned he was going to meet up with her" Phoenix lied, as her and Ravi sighed in defeat and leaned their backs on the wall. "It's probably Becca talking to herself while watching television."

"Probably" Phoenix smiled as her hand was near Ravi's "Are you staying the night or going home?" Ravi had a faint smiled. "Might go home. My mom dosent like when i stay over" Phoenix nodded sadly at the truth.

"Well i should get going, Bye Nix. See you tomorrow 'Kay? Love you" Ravi hugged her one last time, probably the last in years. "Bye Rav, Love you." Ravi left the tree house leaving Phoenix alone before she went back into her house.

When she entered her house that was when it all fell down.

It was April 20th and the news about Andie and Sal was everywhere. Everyone in the Bell household was a mess. Phoenix and Atticus didn't leave eachothers side as they grieved painfully. Phoenix knew she had to go see Ravi. So she asked him to meet up.

When Ravi and Phoenix met up they couldn't even look at eachother. "Im sorry" They both said. "We shouldn't be seen with eachother Rav, not now, not ever" Phoenix was holding back tears with each word. "I know, so this is it for us?" Ravi looked down at the ground as a tear rolled down his cheek.

"We can't talk to eachother again. Its gonna be harsh but we have to go through it" Phoenix voice was stern as Ravi agreed knowing it was for the better.

"Goodbye Ravi Singh"
