SUMMARY

Students of Constance know Marjorie Patel as the Australian surfer sweetheart. After moving to the concrete jungle itself when she was only ten she befriended the group of kids that would soon become the elite of New York City. At first it was easy, not caring about social media and how the world perceived them until they became teenagers and they became so engrossed in that fake world.

While most of her friends managed to stay real and be themselves as usual, a select few became obsessed with their image and privilege.

Ten year old Marjorie used to be really close with everyone, they were all drawn to her by her kindness and warm nature, well they were ten.

Thirteen year old Marjorie was battling with feelings she didn't understand, was tired of her female friends' social media centred lifestyle but somehow grew closer to the guys. However a specific sassy brown skinned girl tried her hardest to always look out for her and shared those same complicated feelings.

Fifteen year old Marjorie had just started at Constance when her parents bought her a luxury apartment, hired an au pair and moved back to Australia claiming that she was old enough to take care of herself and that they couldn't waste anymore time watching over her. On the bright side, she was in her first relationship with a girl and her friendships seemed to be mending themselves.

You'd expect people to ask Ms De Haan why she chose to date the sweet Indian-Australian instead of the many other elite New Yorkers who were scrambling for her attention. However people actually ask how the most humane and down to earth teenager on the planet, well at least at Constance could possibly and ever love the most cold hearted bitch known as Monet.

To be honest, Marjorie didn't necessarily understand where her feelings for Monet started or where they came from but she was grateful that the girl reciprocated them.

Monet on the other hand fell for everything that was and still is Marjorie Patel. From the way she always effortlessly looked good, on her best and worst days to the way her name sounded coming from her lips and her strong accent. From the way she always knew what to say when she or any of their friends were blue to the way her brain worked and the sound of her laugh. Overall she loved the affect that Marjorie had on her.

She gave her peace, made her forget about all the stress and pressure from her parents, from working around the clock to keep Julien at the top.

Or well she used to.

The thing is Monet couldn't deny her feelings for the desi girl but she also knew that if she wanted to stay at the top, she couldn't afford any distractions.

But Monet loved Marjorie. The MJ to her Peter Parker.

Marjorie knew Monet for who she truly was so you'd be shocked to hear that the De Haan ended one of the most beloved relationships known in New York.

At age seventeen Marjorie Patel is the same person she's always been. Still kind, wise, generous, intelligent. However at the beginning of their sophomore year, her ex girlfriend broke her heart, used her biggest insecurities against her and shattered any and all of the trust she had for her or anyone for that matter.

The only difference was that there was some sort of darkness in her that appeared the day her heart was shattered. She looked and acted the same but her closest friends at the time, in New York and her buddies back in Sydney could tell that she wasn't the same after that day.

But Marjorie went on with her life, she had to. She knew that if she let herself overthink that day she'd fall down a hole and get stuck there forever.

So what happens when Monet tries to revive the ashes of her relationship in order to maintain her power as the new Head Bitch In Charge?

- Marjorie and Monet are basically opposites attract

- Also the 'who did this to you?' Trope

- And they were both very protective over eachother and low-key still are

- But Monet is the possessive one for sure

- Like the pure 'she's mine' or the ' I don't share what's mine ' type of vibe

- after the break up, Marjorie tried to be friends but she couldn't and barely speaks to her anymore

- But even though they barely talk anymore which kills her, Monet still keeps tabs on her

- Funny enough she suggests to Pippa and Bianca that Marjorie would be perfect because everyone loved them before

- But Monet knows that Marjorie might never take her back

- So she tries to become her friend again and lets her minions make it look like they're back together to raise her popularity

- And it just becomes very dramatic and filled with drama from there lmao

- Last few details; she's very in touch with her Australian buddies ( I also had the idea of most of them being played by the Heartbreak High cast )

- One of her best friends moves to New York after the new Year and he could be a love interest for Luna

- Her and her parents aren't close anymore but her and au pair are thick as thieves ( you can cast the au pair )

- If you want to give her a sibling feel free

- Her parents own the biggest hotel franchise in the world ( they're also very ethical) and both are completely Indian

- When Marjorie moved when she was ten they were building a hotel in New York and a few around the country but the main one / original is in Australia which is why they moved back ( you can choose the name of hotels )

- Her closest friend in her group is definitely Max. Like she's basically the mom friend while he's the unhinged child and he goes to her for advice constantly ( also a lot of TMI on his end ) but she loves him and he loves her. Sometimes this best friend duo share a brain
