Just like all things, this had to come to an end. Both Charlie and Willy ran the chocolate factory successfully, and Luella was doing great with record sales. She often visited Charlie and Willy to see them both, and to eat some candy whenever she felt like it.
Fortunately, she ended up telling Willy that she liked him. He didn't really know how exactly to react, he hadn't interacted with another woman like this in years. Eventually, he got used to having Luella around, and they got to forming an relationship.
Luella called everyday, and usually they would be on the phone for hours after Willy and Charlie finished their work. Willy tried to convince Luella to come and live at the factory, but she said: "I'm sorry, but I won't able to live there for too long. . "
"Why?" He asked, he furrowed his eyebrows as he clicked an ink pen on his desk.
"I have a semi-tour coming up. And I don't want to keep leaving you guys and coming back." She sighed, "I'm so sorry, Willy. Please don't take this the wrong way."
"I'm not, and I won't. It's okay, Luella." Even though he was a little hurt, he understood why she couldn't stay. "I just wish I could see you face to face a lot more."
"Weelllll. . . you can come to the studio and watch me practice if you'd like." She replied, trying to convince him to come to her house.
"Oh, alright." He smiled, she cheered on the other side of the phone.
"I just hope that the timezones don't mess up our way of talking to each other."
"Don't worry, Lue." He looked up at his wall of world clocks, each clock for each main country. "I have clocks for the timezones. I'll call you when I can, and hopefully after your show."
"Alright, just make sure you get some sleep! I don't want you to be sleep deprived because of me."She sighed.
"There have been some nights where I haven't been able to sleep, you aren't really one of the reasons why, fortunately."
"Good. . " After some silence, Luella spoke again. "Alright, well, I gotta go get ready for bed. I got a big day tomorrow."
"Okay, sleep well." Wonka replied, bidding her goodnight.
"Night, Willy." She hung up on him, he put his phone back onto its receiver.
"Dinner's ready!" Charlie knocked on Willy's door to his room. Willy opened the door and started to walk along with Charlie to the dining room. "Where you talking to your crush?"
"What? Who?" Willy asked, pretending that he didn't know who Charlie was talking about.
"Lue?" Charlie smiled, "I know you like her, when she told you that she liked you, you didn't know how to react."
"How do you know that?" Willy's eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at Charlie.
"You told me right after she confessed to you. . . "
"Oh. ." Willy sighed and looked down the hallway. He then stopped walking, Charlie stopped as well. "We're gonna go down to her studio tomorrow to surprise her."
"And?" Charlie wanted him to continue, Willy shrugged. "Tell her that you like her?"
Willy groaned, "Here you go again, trying to convince me to tell her that I. . I uh. . "
"Like her, yeah." Charlie shook his head, "I'll help you out."
Willy stayed silent for a little while and thought it over. He rolled his eyes and looked down at Charlie. "Fine. I'll tell her. But don't leave me hanging there to embarrass myself."
"I won't, I promise."

The next day, they went to Luella's home and studio. It was huge, but not as huge as the factory. When they came to the door they knocked, Luella opened it and smiled. "I totally wasn't expecting you both to be here."
"I convinced Willy to give us a free day today so we can visit you." Charlie exclaimed, this was part of the plan that they had made.
Willy nodded and said nothing. He leaned upon his cane.
"Well, I was just getting started! Come on in!" She stood aside and let them through. She walked beside Willy.
After a few hours in the studio, it was time to leave. Charlie looked over at Willy, who was intentionally paying attention to what Luella had to say. "Lue!"
"Yes, Charlie?" Luella asked, tilting her head.
"Willy has something to tell you."
"Well, what is it?" Luella looked over at Willy and raised and eyebrows. "Go on-tell me."
"I. . well. . I'm glad that we came to your studio and your humble abode." He put his hands behind his back along with his cane. "And. . well. . I decided to bring Charlie with me, but he did convince me to tell you that. . I. ."
Luella looked confused as to what Willy was trying to say. She blinked a few times. He opened his mouth, and tried mouthing the word, it just couldn't come out.
"I l-. ."
"He likes you. . a lot." Charlie said, smiling.
"I was getting to that part!" Willy groaned and rolled his eyes. Luella was grinning widely. She hugged Willy, it wasn't surprising to him anymore as it was a thing she would do if she were very happy.
"I already told you, but I like you too. . I know it took you a while to come forward to me, but thank you for at least telling me that you like me." She sighed, "It's not gonna be awkward anymore!"
"Yeah. . " Willy said, and slowly started to hug Luella back. Charlie smiled and cheered silently.
