"good morning guys" i said with a smile as i walked into the locker room. i sat down at my locker and changed into my basketball shoes.

"who got you all holly jolly ??" ken asked with a confused look on her face.

"dang i can't just be happy ?? God woke me up and im healthy and breathing that's enough to be happy about" i said.

"PREACH REVEREND JUJU" avery said making us laugh.

"period iktr! we love to hear it" rayah said.

i picked up my phone to text liv. even tho im attached to her and miss her i've been doing good and my mental has been better.

"bro im tired of ts" malia said making me look up. she was in the mirror doing her hair and that meant it wasn't going how she wanted it too.

"fine can you do me a messy bun. i promise you it ain't finna stress me out" she said making me laugh. she handed me the ponytail holder and she sat in between my legs.

"it already did boo" kiki said snickering.

"had my girl over there finna crashout" ag said making me shake my head.

"yall so messy" malia said as she laughed.

"okay you're all done" i said and she stood up.

"thank you" she said and i nodded.

"i bet them kids felt robbed and questioned everything they have ever known when they found out juju doesn't do her own buns" kaley said making me side eye her.

"bro, it's hard i've tried and it just don't be looking the same. my mom has had 19 years of experience" i argued.

"had them folks thinking you did yo own buns" ag said shaking her head.

"bro hop off. i tried and imma get better" i said laughing.

"how are you and liv ??" rian asked.

"we're good, definitely the strongest our relationship has ever been and it's only gonna get better from here" i said.

"that's good. i was tired of yall breaking up and getting back together. just toxic" rayah said.

"why everyone coming for me today ??" i asked laughing.

"cus yall acted like lunatics and refused to get yall crap together until now" talia said.

"yeah wtv. always tryna clock my tea" i said shaking my head.

after getting ready we ran onto the court to get some shots up and warm up before practice starts.

"so you still got him blocked ?" i asked malia. i be having to make sure cus she keep taking him back & she said she gone stand on business this time.

she slowly looked away making me huff and roll my eyes. im high key getting irritated fr.

"malia you said you was done with him fr this time and you wasn't gone unblock him or take him back" i said.

"i was but then he sent me flowers and stuff it was so cute and it made me fold" she said lowly.

"okay that's you. im done" i said as i continued to shoot.

"but why do you care so much it's not your relationship" she said.

"cus i care about the fact that he's hurting my best friend. you call ME crying every time he hurt you when we both know not gone change but okay" i said shrugging.

"hannah let's get it together" coach ivey said making me look at hannah.

"what's going on with her ??" liatu asked me.

"i have no idea" i said lowly. i walked over to hannah and grabbed her arm leading her towards the locker room.

"grace what's going on with you ?" i asked.

"idk bro my shots not falling and nothing is going right" she said frustratedly.

"okay calm down. you good it's just an off practice. and you overthinking it just have fun and play like we know you can" i said. she exhaled and nodded.

"okay" she whispered.

"good.. let's go, stop thinking so hard you're fine" i said as i grabbed her hand led us back on the court.

"liv we figure out what's going on with yo girl ?" coach ivey asked making me chuckle.

"overthinking as always. but she gone be good and play like you know she can" i said looking at her and then hannah with a smile.

she smiled back and nodded. when coach threw the captain card on me i was definitely scared cus i didn't know if i would be a good captain leader.

but it's really given me the opportunity to prove myself and prove how much i care about this team and the girls make it so easy to be their captain and im grateful for them.

"good cus we couldn't count on sonni to do that" she said eyeing sonia who hid her face and blushed from nervousness.

"hey now don't do my girl she just shy" i said..

"well she finna go to the big league so we need to get out our comfort zone don't you think sonni ? they finna have another jyo" coach said making us laugh.

after practice we headed back to the locker room. she also gave sonia captain in hopes that it would help her come out her shy zone but it only made it worse lol.

and besides that she needed 2 just incase one of us got hurt she would have another to fall back on.

"hannah you and x okay ? cus you seemed out of it during practice" maddy asked.

"yeah" she mumbled as she stared of into space.

"grace what the h*ll is wrong ?? are you sure you okay ?" i asked snapping my fingers in her face.

"uh huh." she said.

"okay bring yo a**" i said dragging her to the bathroom.

"if you not gone tell the team what's going on at least tell me" i said.

"i had a nightmare last night" she mumbled.

"about what ?" i asked.

"idk but it felt like someone was watching me. and i can't shake that feeling" she said.

"okay well i'll sleep with you tonight if it makes you feel better" i said.

"mhm" she mumbled as i hugged her tightly.

"you're fine grace.. and you have me so stop worrying" i said.

"thanks livvy" she said and i nodded.

"okay come on so we can go get yo hungry a** some food cus why yo stomach growling like that" i said making her laugh as we walked back to the locker room.

"i haven't eaten today" she said giggling making me shake my head.

"yall look how cute my son is, i bought him a robe" maddy said showing us bean.

"aww he's so handsome and his bad a** slapped me yesterday to" i said making them laugh.

"dang liv what you do to nephy ?" kylee asked.

"not a d*** thing but ask him if he could give me some personal space and boy he was p*ssed" i said laughing.

idk hannah has always been extra careful & she's has had nightmares as a kid but they stopped as she got older and she would have them every once in a while.

i think that's the reason she's emotionally damaged and has to have medication but she's been doing so much better so that's a plus.
